Iβve been going to 216 Fitness for a month now, and I enjoy the workouts. Fun, friendly, and helpful staff. I definitely recommend it for folks who want to begin getting into better shape without all the intimidating aspects of starting out found at many fitness places. Gyms arenβt really my thing, usually loud and full of totally fit 20-somethings...which is not me, for sure! 216 is low-key, not fashion-conscious, but a real workout with real results. They are good at accommodating injuries and limitations of people who were 20-something 20-plus years ago, which is me. I pleased with the progress I am making, and the trainers are great.

I hate exercise with every fiber of my being. This has been the only program I have ever liked. The small classes are very good for keeping you motivated. The other clients are very friendly. The trainers are terrific! Very helpful with any modifications you may need for each exercise. It's a circuit of exercises and the time goes quickly. You can do anything for 30 seconds! The facility is very clean and well equipped. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to get fit and healthier, at any age.

I started going to this gym about a month ago. I feel like I get a personalized workout because the coaches actually pay attention to form and if the workout is done correctly. I do not feel overwhelmed at this gym but the opposite... confident! There is absolutely no judgement. I highly recommend this gym if you want a powerful workout that will leave you sweating!

I really enjoy working out with 216 Fitness . In fact, this is the first group exercise program that I've been able to participate in without experiencing exercise-induced migraine. The way they structure the workouts allows me to get a decent workout without the paying for it with a migraine afterward. I have had years of sessions with wonderful personal trainers and was looking for a place where I could get the same strength training workout in a group setting. I have a young child and despite multiple attempts couldn't get back into a fitness groove on my own. I wanted to go somewhere where I could show up, be directed what to do with strength training, and get a good work-out. I found 216 Fitness, which seems to be the only of it's kind in our area. You can get a fantastic work out, appropriate for all levels. It's focused on strength training; with a good strength workout, you'll get cardio as well. And there's a strong emphasis on not killing yourself or working to a point of potential injury. This was especially helpful as I had a knee injury to deal with as well. I love it and I've been able to stick with it for 3-4 months. Highly recommend it.

I have been very happy with my experience at 216FItness. I have been working with Tim in a semi-private class. I was dealing with back and shoulder pain for many months. After a few sessions - much to my surprise - the discomfort was almost all gone. Tim is knowledgeable, supportive, and friendly. Exercises are adjusted or modified as need be - which is important for safety. I continue to experience a marked reduction in joint discomfort and have gained strength in my core, shoulders and lower extremities.
In addition, the staff is able to accommodate a wide range in customer age and ability. The facility does a great job in dealing with older adults with chronic diseases that affect mobility. I highly recommend this facility.

216 Fitness is great because you get group strength training with a lot of personal attention. If you have any injuries or sore spots the trainer can modify any exercise for you. The exercise routines are changed up every three weeks so that you never get bored. I have been going for eight months in which I have recovered from an injury and seen a big increase in my strength while recovering from an injury. That's pretty impressive!

I really like this place. Lisa and Tim used to be at the Cleveland Heights rec. center and we followed them when they broke off to manage their own place. I can go to the rec center for free but pay to go here because they make me do exercises I wouldn't otherwise think of. Also the clientele is very friendly and welcoming to others.

I've been going to 216 Fitness for 10 months. I have fibromyalgia, so 216 Fitness's method of modifying exercises to fit the client was exactly what I needed. Although the group exercises together, each one is pushing themselves to their own capacities. I feel my overall health is much better and that I have gained strength. I joined 216 when it opened. Iβve experienced other gyms and classes, but this has been the best! The small groups allow Lisa and Tim, with their impressive expertise, to personalize the workout for each client to maximize the results. Itβs amazing how well they know each individual and address any concerns and questions. Every person Iβve been in class with has been friendly and supportive and itβs always fun. Iβm stronger, have better balance and flexibility, and my back pain is gone. The location is convenient as well as the variety of class times and the price is right . I have been attending 2 sessions a week since last February ('18). I feel much better and enjoy working with Lisa and Tim. They are both truly invested in making their clients stronger and working with all to overcome injuries, aches and pains. I am 65 and have become stronger in the last year in addition nagging back pain has all but disappeared. I have made new friends and the atmosphere at the gym is always warm and welcoming. Scheduling is flexible and though I first bulked at the cost (about $100.00 per month for 2 classes a week) I decided that better health is worth the money and I'd rsther spend this on being healthier than Dr visits and long range health issues. My husband is also now attending. They also offered a free summer health series that I found very informative. Come join us!

This is a fitness center for people who donβt necessarily fit the βgym ratβ mold β so if you feel intimidated by the idea of lifting weights or group circuit training, 216 Fitness just might change your mind!
The clientele is very diverse; I have worked out with a variety of classmates with different levels of basic fitness, strength, and mobility, and Lisa and Tim are able to work with all of us to achieve our goals (whether those goals are to lift heavier, strengthen joints, generally maintain fitness, etc.). The trainers listen to their clientsβ needs and are able to offer modifications to accommodate limitations or make an exercise more challenging if needed.
Classes are small (never more than 12 people) and everyone Iβve met here is friendly and respectful of each other β there is a real sense of community at 216 Fitness, which is unique among fitness centers and very motivating. 6 am workouts are really the highlight of my day!

I highly recommend 216 Fitness. You get a varied, supervised workout at a reasonable price. It has the camaraderie of group exercise with the advantages of personal training.
I go to the 7am session. There are usually 4-6 people varying in age and fitness level. The trainer makes it a point to know our personal health histories and tailor the workout to prevent injuries or strengthen weaknesses.
While good for anyone at any fitness level, this is certainly not for someone looking for "Insanity" level workouts. Coaches are encouraging, not yelling. It's great for someone trying to restart their fitness program, or who may have felt uncomfortable in a large gym. 216 is welcoming, positive and fun. Certainly worth their free tryout.

I joined 216 with my husband a few weeks back and we are loving it. The classes are very structured and guided so you donβt have to worry about knowing things at the get go. The owners/instructors are very engaged and help make adjustments and corrections to the exercises to get the most out of the workout. The workouts go by quickly. The class sizes are smaller which makes for a more personalized class and better results. There are a variety of exercises and equipment. The class times are convenient and it doesnβt feel like a big box gym. We look forward to going and would recommend to anyone who may be a bit shy in trying something new or even those who know their way around equipment and exercises.

I love this place!! I've been longing for a personal trainer to coach me but I was concerned about expense. There was an article in the PD 2 weeks ago. They have programs for all ages and gender. The article focused on 'Over 50'. I checked it out immediately, sent a message on the web. Tim called me first business day Monday. I was offered 2 free weeks. My concern was expense before I got involved; a wonderfully affordable monthly price for 2 visits per week, one hour each. My thighs were EXTREMELY sore but I was fine by the second week. My trainer Dan adjusted the exercises for the sore muscles. I am SO PLEASED! I have goals to lose weight, regain strength and tone. I want to be back into a size 12 THIS YEAR. It's only about 20 pounds. I've lost 2 pounds already....just getting my butt moving!! Thank you 216 Fitness!!
