All I can say is WOW! The Personal Training is specifically tailored to each individual based on age, health (weight), and goals. In a recent visit to the gym on my own, I was doing a cardio exercise and had trouble achieving the heart rate I wanted. In addition, my heart rate recovery time is so much better than it's ever been. I'm 68 and have never been an athlete. Thanks Steve!

It's been a while since I wrote the above. I am now 74 and I am in better health, have greater flexibility, and am stronger than I was ten years ago. Another plus is after my wife retired from teaching, which enabled her to go to the gym at a much more reasonable hour, we have been exercising under Steve's tutelage together.

I'm going to keep training with Steve as long as I possibly can, and at the same time, I know that it will be longer because of the effectiveness of AAA Fitness's training. (He's even gotten me up to a six minute plank.)

I have been training with Steve Blackmon for about 6-7 years.

I learned about Steve through the gym I belonged to back then. Our relationship began when Steve trained my son, who was in middle school at the time. Steve was able to help my son with strength training, speed and agility training, and helped him to be successful in basketball. Steve helped my son gain confidence in his abilities, inspired him to take up weight training which he has maintained through his college years,, and developed a positive personal relationship with him that continues to this day.

Because of my son's wonderful experience with Steve, I decided to begin training with Steve. He has been the best trainer I have ever worked with. What I love about working out with Steve is that the workouts are always different and interesting. He is very attentive to my needs as I have aged, and is always flexible with working around injuries. Much of what we do in training has helped me in my daily life. Even as I've aged, my strength and flexibility has improved.

AAA Fitness is the perfect workout option for me. I've been coming regularly for 4 years now, and I am so much healthier and stronger than I was. I met with Steve in March 2021 and knew pretty quickly I had found something that would work for me. I began working out with Steve 2 days a week and moved to 3 days a week after a few months. I love that every workout is different, but builds on concepts we’ve worked on before. Steve works with my schedule when necessary as well.

AAA is the first fitness concept that has ever made me feel comfortable. Not only is Steve great, but his customer base is made up of a bunch of good, positive people that support one another on their fitness journeys.

My daughter was trained by Steve at AAA Fitness. He is an amazing trainer and more importantly person. She was a two sport high school athlete and Steve was able to complete training programs that suited her specific needs according to what season she was in. He trains the total athlete. Steve helps them not only get stronger, but helps athletes achieve their full potential by discussing the importance of sleep and nutritional habits as well. Before working out at AAA Fitness, my huge struggle was finding the time and staying motivated. I would start working out then I’d stop.
It affected my life because, I knew I wanted to be healthy but I made it hard for myself , by not staying consistent.
Since I started training with Steve, he have played a big part in helping me stay on track, holding me accountable, and staying motivated to strive to Get better each week.

The program is awesome. Steve customize it to what works for you. He finds your strength and helps build up your weak areas. Also, There are workouts that he gives you on days in between to help you stay on track. He also changes up the workouts to make it fun ( 😩) and challenging.
I been going for 6 months now and I’m definitely seeing results.

Everyone has there own pace and that’s what I like. I’m more consistent with working out and eating healthier . I’m glad I joined the team. It’s rewarding when you stay with it and on track.

I know for a fact Steve tailors workouts to every individual - he trains me, my wife, and he used to train my daughter (all separately). For my daughter, a graduated Gahanna athlete, he worked with her Physical Therapist to create a plan to help her recover from ACL surgery the summer before her senior year in HS, and beyond that was able to help her reach her goal to get an athletic scholarship in basketball.

My wife and I both compare what we did in the gym that day, and he clearly focuses on each of our areas of need based on our individual goals. While I have been lifting weights off an on for 30+ years, he quickly recognized deficiencies in my core, flexibility, and legs. While working on total body workouts, we are currently working together to get each of those deficient areas in line with the rest of me!

Steve is also a wealth of knowledge. Throughout sessions he is open for discussions on a wide range of topics, including (and definitely not limited to) proper nutrition as well as preparing students and their parents for what it takes to compete at the next level, whether it be HS varsity or college (or beyond).

My wife and I will continue to work with Steve. We are fortunate to have found him.

I have been lifting weights for about six years, I know most of the exercises and diet plans to follow, but I needed more. I signed up with Steve in January, and since then have lost almost 20 pounds of fat. I still have a ways to go, but I give Steve so much credit for keeping me focused and persistent. Several of the things I love about working with Steve is he doesn't let me slack off on weight he knows I can lift, he pushes me hard every training session, and the most important is I feel comfortable with him. I don't feel intimidated, and I could talk to him about anything. That is what makes him an awesome trainer. I began my personal training journey with Steve mid January 2017. I have worked with several trainers on and off over the last 5-7 years. Steve is by far one of the most knowledgeable and professional personal trainers I have worked with to date.

Steve Blackmon is a truly excellent trainer. He is the perfect combination
of tough trainer you want when you don't want to make excuses and you need that extra little push to achieve the goals that you have set for yourself. Steve does a pre check, this allows him to see where you are physically and while he is doing this, he is having conversation to see where you are mentally in terms of your objectives and long and short term goals.  He works with the whole person -- mentally, emotionally and physically. Because of his efforts, I am stronger and more flexible, I have better balance and most importantly I am back on track to the goals that I had set for myself.

The results I have achieved to date are largely due to Steve's combination

To put more of a personal perspective on Steve and AAA Fitness.  Steve is
the first trainer that I have had since I was in High School.  I have worked
out for over 36 years at various locations.  I had always considered a trainer, yet I felt they were a waste of money as I would watch them at various gyms where I trained.  Most of them appeared to be disinterested or there to charge money to individuals that did not know any better.  After observing Steve train other members for several months, I approached him about training plans and meal plans.  Well it has been 7 months and we are still at it.  If you are tired of making excuses and you want a trainer that is invested in your overall fitness, then you need to give AAA Fitness and Steve Blackmon an opportunity to help you accomplish your goals.

I am not a prolific reviewer but I feel compelled to write about my experience with Steve and AAA Fitness. I was a sedentary person who did not think about my food and drink choices. I kept going up a size and up a size until finally, I decided to get a trainer to help me improve myself and learn about fitness and nutrition.

I had a lot of anxiety about it at the outset. I didn't know how to navigate a gym, how to use the equipment, I was nervous about wearing workout clothes, etc. I am so glad that a friend connected me with Steve because he made me feel comfortable from the first day. With a depth of knowledge and the perfect balance of understanding and push, Steve has effectively helped change my life for the better. I am still on my journey but I have made great strides in the 8 months we've worked together. My weight is down, I have less join pain, I am stronger and I feel more confident.

Going to the gym and working out with Steve is a lot of fun! We talk about music, sports, food, current events...the time flies by! The workouts have a lot of variety and Steve makes modifications if I have any discomfort. I've found the exercises challenging but when I finish, I feel empowered and excited to keep improving.

Steve is very professional, noticeably more so than other trainers that I see around the gym. You can trust that he is punctual and personable, and he personalizes the experience in a way that makes you feel valued as a client and that your investment is well worth it.

Steve is an absolutely excellent personal trainer. He builds relationships, understands your goals and develops a customized program so that you achieve them. I train two days a week, as does my daughter who is a high school athlete just coming back from major knee surgery. I have trained with Steve for two years and I credit him with helping to change my life. We started out training 3 days a week and I have trained 5 days a week the last year and a half. Steve's training techniques are the best in any gym I have seen. Total body 1 on 1 training. The amount of time and effort Steve puts in working on training programs for his clients is insane. My name is Amanda Bell. Before I started my weight loss journey with AAA Fitness I weighed 245lbs. I have wanted for years to lose weight and I have tried lots of diets and work out plans which never really worked for me. Due to my weight it took a toll on me physically and emotionally. I wanted to feel good about being in my own skin again. I started my journey in September of 2014 and I must say I went in with an open mind and had no worries or concerns. In my head I thought “it can only get better from here”. When I began working out with Steve Blackmon I felt comfortable and he took the time to get to know what my own personal goals vs him giving me goals. I have never hired a personal trainer and my initial fear was “can I even afford to hire a trainer?” It took a lot of time for me to get comfortable trusting the process. Once I started seeing results on the scale I became more and more confident in myself that losing the weight that I have tried to loose for years is working. My clothes started to fit better and I went down in size. Little did I know I became an inspiration to others who were in exact place with struggling to lose weight. Since September of 2014 I have lost a little over 70lbs and I feel great. Before working out and training with steve I could barely jog without getting winded and I definitely couldn’t do push-ups. Now I am up to running almost 2 miles straight and can do as many as 50 push-ups in a work out session. Working out and training with AAA fitness gave me a new outlook on fitness and healthy living. I began working with Steve last fall. At first it was with two friends of mine but eventually he made the suggestion that I work with him one on one (I was the only one who played a sport). This was the best thing we could've done. He created a workout regimen specific for me and the sport I play (baseball), along with a diet to enhance my results. He also recommended what type of protein I should use and how often. Since working with Steve, I have gained 15 lbs which was my initial goal. When I first started with Steve 8 months ago, I had already used another personal trainer for close to a year. His emphasis was centered around weight training as I was trying to tighten my chest area and stomach. Less emphasis on arms and legs as they were already in pretty good shape. My biggest problem with that trainer was he cancelled a lot of sessions (he did allow us to make them up), but the continuity that I wanted wasn't there. That was big for me. Working with Steve we have only missed one scheduled appointment due to his needing to cancel. I have cancelled a few due to scheduling conflicts. I really like that. Plus, my first trainer was now focused on an over-all workout, even though I had particular areas of interest. No cardio, balance work or core exercises. Working with Steve, my balance has improved considerably and I can feel a huge difference in my stamina and increased tightening of my core. His approach is one of motivation and patience. He is not an over-bearing screamer trying to over motivate you. He will push and challenge you in a manner that's respectful but challenging. While I am happy with my results so far, 2016 I plan to focus on following more of Steve's nutritional program to lose 15-20 lbs and get body fat down as well. Regardless of your fitness needs, I am confidant Steve can find a program for you that will yield the results you desire.
