The gym and equipment is fine but the overall cleanness of the gym can be improved. For about a week the water fountain had some brown stain maybe protein and it began to stink really bad, on more than one occasion no toilet paper in the restroom, and random trash being in the same place for more than a few days. I’ve been a member for about 6 months and the cleaning has always been below what a paying member should expect.

The gym and equipment are fine but the PARKING LOT surface is an atrocious eyesore! Full of potholes, poor patch work, and loose gravel --awful. Is the mall owner of Wales Square Shopping Center too cheap and frugal to put any money into repairing, repaving, resurfacing the parking lot? I'm surprised its vendors like Subway, Premier, Fit For U Gym, and Dollar General put up with the decomposing parking lot.

Would like it if they raised there prices a bit (or something idk) to weed out all of the high schoolers tho. Seems like they’re getting more memberships than they have space at this point. Lots of teenagers 3-5 deep surrounding 1 machine just taking up space talking. I get the point is to make money, but when every machine/space in the joint is constantly taken, makes it much less convenient of a space to work out.

I came in to cancel my membership in December of 24. I was told at that time that I would be charged for the full year which ended in January 25 or I could wait and let the membership expire and come back after January 20th. This was told to me by multiple staff. I returned on January 25th, 2025 and was told I would now be charged for an annual fee. This is unacceptable. I was told to return when a manager was in the building. I just left after speaking to a supervisor, and was told they refuse to wave the fee because I came in AFTER the 20th. This place is shady and i would not recommend going here. Do not sign any contract with them. Their equipment is lacking. They state they have a sauna and tanning, but they’re all bottom of the barrel amazon purchases. Run, run fast. And if you run for long enough, you may just achieve the fitness level this place could never supply.

They have good machines and I love they are open 24/7, however, we ended up having to cancel our membership. We had been members for a couple years at this point. We cancelled 3 days after our “yearly dues” came about and we were told that money will not be refunded. If we pay yearly dues and a monthly membership fee, I fail to see how the dues are non refundable 3 days after they are taken? I ended up having to pay for an entire 365 days of dues and now cannot go to the gym bc the membership is cancelled. I’m sure if I wanted to get my membership back they’d want to charge me again for the yearly dues. Makes absolutely no sense why after 3 days I cannot get my money back when my wife and I have been a member for a couple years. Word to the wise, ask when your yearly dues come around and mark it down so if you plan to cancel, you do it before that time so they don’t literally legally rob you of your money. Edit since you can reply to me but I can’t reply to you: it may be listed somewhere in the cancellation policy that no matter how soon or late you decide to cancel that you keep 100% of the yearly fees but that doesn’t make it any less shady. I’m sure you don’t feel that way as it’s in your bank account to spend now but I’m sure if this happened to you at a business you’d be just as upset. You can also blame the customer for not knowing it’s in the cancelation policy but your own staff didn’t even know. I had to wait for a manager to come into work just to find out that info. Graceless, similar to others with cancellation. My daughter worked out once and did not like it and they were under construction and didn’t feel comfortable. Charged $100 for one time at the gym. Charged an extra month because 2 days before billing. Called and lady was very nice but couldn’t do anything because of owners “policy”. Lessoned learned for my daughter to not make a quick decision on these things but do believe most companies would have some grace here. Maybe not a fair review just make sure you know what you are getting into before signing up and tour the facility.

Good solid overall gym. Owner has chosen a logical variety of equipment for complete workouts. Nice mix of members & folks are respectful. I give this place a 3 bc it’s good for beginners and it’s 24/7. The weights are beat up rubber and the floor sucks, you could potentially trip on it. The worst thing is that all the machine/ benches are crooked, there’s nothing worse than getting on equipment and looking up at a crooked ceiling or just being off center. The kids at the front don’t really care and more of a social gathering for them. I recommend joining here to start out… then leave.

Signed up for a membership tonight and before leaving I had them cancel my membership. Went to this gym for a year probably 3 years ago and it was okay. Clean and well put together, lacked cables and what not but it was a newer gym…. NOW they added machines, painted a graffiti wall, but neglected the BUBBLING FLOOR by the dumbbells… which those are completely falling apart. Ripped and torn to pieces. I tripped on the bubbling floor and I looked around and the whole area was bubbling. Safety hazard…. You neglect the floors??! I told the nice kid at the desk I was not impressed at all, so sorry but I’ll go back to driving an extra 15 mins and go to powerhouse.

Seriously, would like to know why they are so awful to cancel. I moved an hour away and they forced me to drive back. Paid 50 dollars for a 50 cent key fob, I understand this is in the contract but it does not make it ethical. The only thing I can think of is that they know the gym is so bad they know nobody would ever join again. Planet fitness is so much better. It is cleaner, safer and the staff is much more polite. So instead of being respectful and useful they try to squeeze as much out of you. Also, because I live an hour away and they wouldn't work with me on the phone I changed my credit card number. However, the sleaze balls whined to my bank and still charged my bank. DO NOT JOIN. Save your trouble and go to any other gym.

One of the best gyms I’ve been to in a long time. They have the essentials and more.

Steve is one of the people I’ve met here and is a friendly face at the front. Every time I was in there, he and his team were mopping the floors, sweeping, wiping down equipment, and assisting people with proper machine form. It’s always a great sight to see they care about cleanliness.

I’ve been to a lot of gyms but this is certainly my favorite to go to when I visit my family in Ohio.

What a great place to work out! I noticed how clean, spacious, and well laid out this gym was when I painted their graffiti styled murals in the weight rooms. The Gym itself is a cool gym. But the billing and deceptive business practices are what really negatively impacts the company overall. They make it very difficult to cancel a membership. I had 4 attempts to cancel my membership. The first time was over the phone. The rep advised I needed to cancel in person. Next I attempted to cancel in person. I went in and handed over the key fob. I forgot my debit card, so they refused to take the key fobs and told me I needed to pay the remaining balance. Third time I called and spoke with a representative and let them know that I needed to cancel, but didn’t get paid until the 24th. The rep specifically stated that he would reach out to his manager and that I’d be okay to cancel on the 24th with no additional fees. 4th time - I went in to cancel my membership and the manager says I owe this month, next month, and the annual fee for a total of $93.0 instead of the $25 that I owed. Oh it’s because I’m canceling after the 20th of the month and he had no problem showing me in my contract that I signed where it says that. If that’s the case, why did the representative tell me that I was okay to pay and cancel on the 24th without any additional fees? Terrible management. Terrible member experience. Terrible billing and business practices. Why do you guys make canceling a membership so difficult? After jumping on here and reading these reviews, I now see that I’m not the only one that this gym has screwed over billing wise. I can guarantee you that I will never be back to this gym. Again, the gym itself is great. But the billing and business practices are absolutely the area of opportunity for improvement.

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS GYM. I have had a gym membership with this gym since June of 2020. I was unable to continue working out because I was hospitalized with Covid 19 two different times from November to February and was extremely ill. I called to ask if they would cancel my contract because I did not feel comfortable going to the gym because of the Covid 19 outbreak and from not being in good health. They would not cancel contract and told me I had to wait until my contract ended to cancel. My contract ended June of 2021. I called back to cancel and was told that they would cancel the contract in June. It’s now august and they charged me for July and are now saying I have to be a $60 annual fee to cancel as well as a $40 charge for a key fob because I no longer have it and that it has to be in person. I moved out of state to take care of an ill family member that has cancer (explained all of this). They told me I could then cancel over the phone after paying the total of $100. After escalating to another manager he was willing to drop off the $40 dollar fee but still was making me pay the $60 dollar annual fee. This family owned business is greedy and does not care about your health, your family, your life, or your finances. I recommend never signing a contract with them or going to their gym

I've gone super early in the morning before and that's honestly probably the best time to go. Yoga mats are horrible. Machines added to the room originally for stretching and yoga make it hard to move. Now there are no jump ropes either.
Was told to get to use the good mats, you have to become a client.

It’s also the cleanest gym in the area owner cleans daily and idk what the guy below me is taking about I wouldn’t shower in a public shower without shower shoes no matter how clean. I was a member for less than a month. I did not receive a contract. I felt a little deceived when I was charged for basically three months when I withdrew my membership in less than a month. One was an overcharge and the other two were for the actual month I joined and then the following month that I didn’t use at all. I was told I would not be charged the annual fee if I withdrew membership before the next month. So farI haven’t been charged the annual fee (yet). However, the gentleman on the phone actually said I was lucky that they didn’t charge me the annual fee- even though I joined with a coupon for a $1 sign up and was verbally told I could withdraw membership before the 5th and I would not get charged. I withdrew on the 4th. So, I feel like I got the run around. I wasn’t put out too much financially, but I didn’t appreciate the conversation I had with the gentleman on the phone.
The facility is ok. There is a lot of cardio. There are weight machines and free weights. The gym was adequate for the basics. And, at the advertised $11 per month, it is a good deal. You will be charged an annual fee if you are there for more than a month., even if you use the $1 sign up coupon. If circumstances hadn’t changed for me, I would have kept my membership as it is a good deal for the money.

I love that it so close to where I live, open 24hrs, I love the free weight room but wish it was a little bigger, I really just love this gym and all that you get with your membership

Same price as planet fitness with wayyy more/heavier dumbbells, free weights and equipment. Its also not as busy so you have no problem getting on a machine. Favorite gym ive been to so far.
