I’ve been coming to this gym about 2 years and I love it . Great atmosphere, very clean and everyone is friendly and non judging. They are always trying to improve the gym as well . I've been going there for about 8 years, and over the past six months or so, I've noticed a significant improvement. Tony has been wonderful, diligently working to keep the place clean and organized. His presence has truly transformed the environment, making it a welcoming and positive space for both men and women to enjoy their workouts and have fun. Mazzie has also been incredible, offering friendly and attentive customer service that makes everyone feel valued. Made an appointment for free consultation, as we arrive, the receptionist only concerns which program we are going to sign up. I explained that I have never been to this gym. No offer for introducing me to the equipment or services they provide. I’ve been a member at Anytime Fitness Grove City for over 2 and a half years, and I’m extremely disappointed with how I’ve been treated. The managers are disrespectful, rude, and clearly don’t care about their members. I’ve tried to cancel my membership for a long time, but they kept important information from me and now expect me to take responsibility for charges that are their fault.

On top of the poor customer service, the gym is not clean — the equipment is often dirty, the bathrooms smell bad, and overall hygiene is lacking. For how much they charge, the experience is not worth it. It’s clear they’re more focused on collecting money than actually supporting their members. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

This is pretty much the only gym in the area that is open 24 hours 7 days a week. I love that it doesn’t usually get super busy, especially late at night. However, this is the nastiest gym I have ever been to. I have never once seen the bathrooms clean, wipes are always out and sprays gone. Yoga mats and floors have probably never been cleaned. It’s very unsanitary here:(

I had an appt with the employeee about possibly signing up. I wasn't feeling the workout vibe at that location. Pretty small for a chain gym. But maybe that's what the locals prefer. When I first started going to anytime fitness in 2019 I loved the gym. The staff was always friendly and the gym was clean. When they switch owners/ managers the place went down hill. It was always filthy in there. Bathrooms would have urine everywhere on the toilets and floors. Trash would be overflowing, floors disgusting, no wipes. Update 2/5/2024: This has been the WORST BUSINESS EXPERIENCE I have ever dealt with. After 3 months finally got my membership canceled, yet continued to get charged. FINALLY got that worked out after having to call a different branch since nobody in Grove City answers the phone. After being told everything was clear and taken care of, I am now getting calls from a collection agency saying I owe. So after 6 months of headaches and no return calls, now my credit is being damaged. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS GYM.

I've been going to various Anytime Fitness locations for years now. I have recently frequented the location in Grove City, OH and I must say I am far from impressed. The equipment is fairly new and it is rarely busy. I never wait for machines or free weights and the other patrons have been nothing but pleasant.

However, this is one of the dirtier locations I have seen. Every time I come to this location, it seems it hasn't been cleaned in ages. The trash cans are constantly over flowing. The water fountains seem like they haven't been wiped down in months, which considering they do not have bottle filling stations makes this worse. There is a layer of dust in every corner and the carpets clearly haven't been vacuumed in some time. Also, the literature at the front door hasn't been rotated, evidenced by random flyers for events that took place back in July '22.

Meanwhile, I rarely see the the facility manager doing anything aside from sitting on his cell phone in the office. Not sure if this location uses a cleaning service, but if so, that service should be fired. Otherwise, it would be nice to see management take some pride in the location.

Was in the area traveling so stopped in for a morning workout. Smaller location but has a decent assortment of equipment. Good number of attachments for cables and was excited they had a full track cage. The reason for the poor review is how dirty the place was. Every trash can was overflowing with paper towels and wipes. Clearly haven’t been emptied in days. A staff member came in as I was finishing up my workout and he went right into the office and was face down on his phone. Clearly no intent of cleaning up the place. Bathrooms even had other trash on the floor. Small facility like that should be easy to up keep.

Terrible gym location. While signing up the manager told me it was $50 to cancel. I went for a while and then decided to switch to planet fitness because anytime fitness is dirty & too small/unorganized to get a workout in. I tried talking to the manager for a few weeks but no one answered the phone or was in the office during “office hours”. So I’ve never been to Anytime Fitness before. I reached out to Anytime and had an appointment scheduled for today at 2:30p. I arrive at 2:32p, walk up to the door and it’s locked. People ARE inside and they were open. However, not ONE staff-member even came to the door. I call, they send me to voicemail. I don’t get it, do you or do you not want new members? Can't fix anything in a timely matter. You don't take care of anything but yet you take money. I can't wait for my contract to be over. I decided to try Anytime fitness because it's open 24/7. What they don't tell you is they don't take care of anything. I really believe they think they don't have to fix things or take care of the place because they let you go in whenever you want. Will scam you. I signed up for 18 months a few years ago and did not sign up for auto renewal. They said at the time of signing I would receive a copy of the contract via email, which I never received. While looking through my bank statement recently I saw im still being charged well past the 18 month period and its seeming like the reason I never received a copy is because they against my will signed me up for auto renewal and me having a copy which clearly states I didnt agree to auto renewal would be bad for them. To make matters worse, the gym's posted hours of operation seem to be more of a suggestion than a commitment. I've frequently visited the gym during its supposed open hours, only to find it locked and empty. It's incredibly frustrating and undermines the trust I placed in Anytime Fitness to provide reliable access to its facilities.

I would strongly advise anyone considering joining Anytime Fitness to think twice before making that commitment. The unprofessional behavior exhibited by the manager, Ryan Baker, and the overall lack of integrity within the gym are red flags that should not be ignored. We used Anytime while in our apartment, we moved over 25 miles from an Anytime and went to cancel our membership (as per our contract states we can) and found it is impossible to cancel.

We went in person and filled out the form to cancel TWICE. We were told by the employee it was cancelled TWICE. Still got charged. We have called in numerous times, no one answers. We’ve gone in numerous times, apparently no one works there. We called the corporate office and had to wait on the line to get a supervisor on the phone to try to cancel it.

Ended up calling our bank to cancel the charge. They make you sign up with your routing & account number so you can’t simply cancel the transaction. We filed claims for the charges through our bank.

I canceled my membership due to moving far away and Anytime confirmed my cancellation in person.

They are still charging my card even after cancelation. I’ve called over 10 times and they do not answer the phone. I’ve been in person twice now to confirm my cancelation and they continue to charge my card.

I really hate to give this place a lower ranking. I am able to get my workouts in fairly regularly and the other members are very friendly. Issue comes down to they often run out of cleaning wipes for days, if not weeks at a time so the place is dirty. A lot of equipment needs fixed. It’s not horrible but it’s not great either. There are definitely better gyms to go to.

Update (8/1/23): Bumping this up to 4 stars because they are starting to make great changes with cleaning and fixing equipment. I just want to see it last!

Gym had issues with being cleaned regularly. Icing on the cake was submitting a cancellation request , complete with a doctors note from my oncologist, due to a cancer diagnosis, and being told it wasn’t a good enough excuse to cancel a gym membership.
Manager gave me corporate number, and they blamed the gym for not giving clearance to cancel, and said they couldn’t help. Moral of the story: when they say “it’s easy to cancel” that is a LIE. You can submit the request, they just won’t ever approve them bc they can choose what is a good enough excuse.
They are predatory, and the business is designed to present roadblocks to let you cancel, even with due cause.

I recently rejoined AF in Lebanon, TN for travel and this was the first gym I’ve been in since 2018. (Typically train at home.)
Good: the guy let me in during staff hours, after I called. (New membership can’t access away key fob for 30 days). That’s about it.
Not so good: I don’t think the equipment has been refreshed since 2018 or before. It was very busy and small for such a large number of people there during peak evening hours. There was no where to fill a water bottle, except an old fashion water fountain. I used it and the pressure wasn’t enough to get water into my bottle beyond 50% marker. This gave me the creeps. No towelettes to wipe down equipment and sterilize so, post pandemic doesn’t actually mean pandemic is over. These two things mean I definitely will not be back in peak hours. I mostly used free weights but stepped on a treadmill to warm up and it rocked.

So, if I paid for this gym specifically I wouldn’t be too happy.

I would give this place a no star if I could! I don’t not recommend this gym at all! 1 when my husband and I signed up for 1 year . We trust fully signed the papers because we trusted that she knew what she was doing because of the time she said she had been working there . Couple of years. Then after our 1year contract was over . Well was supposed to be over .came to find out she only did the 1 year for my husband. And a 2 year for me. #2 reason why my husband and I signed up together 1 year was because he was training me and introducing me to the gym work outs.why would I sign up another year myself and not him .he was training me, and we were doing it for the same year. We made that very clear to the girl that signed us up. #3 she did not take accountability for her fault and blamed us .#4 I tried to speak to the owner of the facility and no action was taken . So we decided to just pay it and never go there again even tho we moved far from the place. #5 they kept taking out payments and I get an email saying we owe money.! We payed a whole year without going to this gym and for various reasons and they knew this and did not care.horrible!!! And the gym needs more machines . And not so clean. And there staff are just unprofessional! Do yourself a favor and don’t spend a dime in this place. Highly disappointed! It’s a rip off !

I started going to this gym in Spring 2019 up until it’s closure for the pandemic. I was very impressed then with the cleanliness of the facility, the friendly management and overall equipment upkeep. Post pandemic, I rejoined in Spring of 2021 hoping for the same experience, but unfortunately, it has not been a great one. With each visit the facility keeps getting dirtier and more abused. The carpet has multiple stains and tears in places, random equipment cushions are ripped, thick coating of dust on all cardio equipment, especially around the cord and outlet areas, overhead air ducts have black dust on all vents, bathrooms are frequently not cleaned, no soap, no paper towels, no antidisinfectant wipes for equipment, music is occasionally so loud I cannot hear my earphones, not to mention the music selection is at times a bit offensive. I honestly am very disappointed in this place considering I pay over $50 a month and an additional semi annual “maintenance fee”. I feel robbed considering there are brand new facilities in Grove City, equal distance from my home, that charge a fraction. I previously spoke to the manager, Adam, who seemed to only have worked there a month or so and then was nowhere to be found. I addressed the same complaints with him and I was literally sent a copy of my contract stating, “Here is a reminder of the contract you signed.” I am not illiterate by any means and am fully aware of terms of said contract; however, this facility is NOT fulfilling their end of the agreement. I would not recommend this gym at all and will be contacting corporate regarding aforementioned complaints.

Gym is really nice and smells really good but if you go to the showers it's disgusting, dirty, hair everywhere, I been at this location about 2 weeks ago and the showers were the same.
If you are keeping the gym so clean and smelly take extra 30 min and clean showers, there is a people who is using those.

After 3 years i visited this gym again and i have to say that the restrooms and showers are way clearer then before!
Definitely worth 5 stars.

I had to cancel my membership due to medical reasons in feb. I have fought tooth and nail to get back the money they took out of my account that they should not have taken out then they charged me a maintenance fee also after my cancelation . They have promised to call back but they never do they promised to s we ND my refund d by check and back on my card never happened. So I had to block my account and call attorney General of Ohio. I was as patient as any one could be. But after all the lies and promise that were never kept. Enough is enough. Don't use this fitness center. Unless you want your money stolen from you.

Joined Feb 2020 with 1 year membership. Did not use the gym as much as I thought. Went to office and turned in my written notification of intent to cancel on January 8 2021 as membership would be up in February. My account on app said my membership expired April 1st which I understood because of the 2 months not billed due to COVID. App then changed to show my account expiration as indefinite sometime in March. Called the payment company because the one time I got someone from Anytime fitness to contact me said I would have too. Now payment company says I am pending cancellation and a payment of 119 dollars is due. They say ask Anytime and Anytime says ask the payment company. This seems to be a scam. I paid my dues, fulfilled my commitment, gave appropriate notice of cancellation and now they want to charge 119 dollars more. Save your time money and the headache and go elsewhere

Zero communication around billing and shady billing practices. Our membership was set to expire in June of 2020. After gyms were allowed to reopen following COVID-19 closures, the gym did not cancel our membership, which expired after 12 months, and began debiting our bank account $82/month. There was zero communication to members around COVID-19 closures, payment policies, payments resuming...nothing. We assumed our 12-month membership had expired in the midst of COVID and did not return to the gym. When I finally caught a payment clearing my bank account and called to complain about being billed $738 when it was clear we hadn't used the gym in months (they have key fobs for entry), the employee told me it was basically my fault for misunderstanding their billing policy and offered me no resolution. I'm out $738 and still have to wait 30 days to cancel so I'm not billed for March.

This gym is cozy. Has free weights, squat racks, cardio equipment, studio room, and a sled. Also can tan, and get a hydro massage. Staff is there during the day, but gone at night. Provides security with your own key fab.But Most of what you would need to have a good workout. My only downfall is the bathrooms could use a little lovin other than that great place.

Absolutely the worst gym membership I’ve ever owned. It’s hard as hell to get out of your contract even though they claim you can if you move away which was mentioned during the time of sign ups. Stay far away from this place if you have any reservations. This particular brand of gym is unprofessional and lied about their own policies. I’d never recommend them to any one if asked. I went back to Planet Fitness, no haggle policy and you can leave when you want. If I could rate this location ZERO stars I would, it was that difficult of an experience. .

Owner Dave is very strict on his cancelation policy. Staff is unwilling to approach owner Dave to make an exception for pregnant women via email or in person. Staff showed no compassion or attempt at making a compromise. Lost customer for life over $30 due to strict policy. 2 stars simply because there is a Marco's pizza next door to drown sorrows.

Shower room is clean , BUT SHOWER CABIN 😏👎🏻 ... need some cleaning there is a lot of hair and the disability bench is 🤦🏻‍♂️ rusty and kinda faq’d up , and please give some pressure to that water 🚿 !!!

Love this gym! I go at random times and I've never seen it crowded. The classes are awesome and the staff is so friendly.

EDIT:

I am taking stars away. I cancelled my membership in February, not because of anything wrong with the gym itself. However, since then they have attempted to charge my credit card 4 different times for different amounts, even after speaking with 2 different employees.
Overall the gym is fine but cancelling has been a pain and super unprofessional.

Staff was nice but that was it....... WHY WOULD YOU HAVE TWO SMITH MACHINES AND ONLY ONE SQUAT RACK AND ONLY HAVE ONE FLIPPING BARBELL!?!?!?!?!??! I was beyond disappointed with my experience here and will never return to this gym. All of the anytimes back around my hometown have multiple squat racks and barbells!!! I dont understand why you guys wouldn't want to appeal to a more broader range of lifters???? This gym honestly reminded me of planet fitness.

The BEST gym you could ever join! A clean friendly spacious environment with 24/7 access. Staff is amazing and very friendly. The owner, David, is great as well and is always willing to work with people. You can tell he takes his job very serious and truly cares about each and every member. Trainers are awesome as well and will also help steer you in the right direction. I recommend this gym to anyone and everyone!

I have been a member of Anytime Fitness in Grove City for about 6 months now and this is the best fitness facility I’ve ever joined. The gym is always super clean. The staff is really helpful and personal, which is nice. You feel like a member of a family when you go in. The equipment is brand new. It’s a 100% upgrade from my last gym! Everything about the gym and staff feels catered to customers, on a personal level. Other gyms don’t offer hydro massages because they don’t truly care about the wellbeing of this customers, but this gym does. I highly recommend being a member here!

Only one squat/power rack, meaning only ONE BARBELL in this gym. The least well equipped Anytime Fitness I've been to out of four, by far. If one other person wants to deadlift squat or bench, you're out of luck. Get rid of some machines and get a second power rack! Heck, ditch the smith machine ASAP. You pay $40 a month to wait in line at this location

I was not made aware that there was a 12 month minimum contract and when i went to cancel my membership due to financial reasons, the employee couldn't help me at all or even look up what contract I had. His best advice was just to come back later. Thankfully I was able to get into contact with David and he was able to assist me.

Anytime fitness Grove City branch is an amazing facility. Everything in the gym is very clean and they have any equipment you could need to get your workout in. The owner, David McIntyre, is very friendly and helpful. There is a very personal atmosphere in the gym and David really seems like he wants to see you succeed and feel comfortable while working out. As far as I have seen the other patrons are friendly as well. No it isn't as large as some other gym chains such as; YMCA, Planet Fitness or La Fitness, but those large gyms only really want your money and dont seem too concerned if you succeed or fail. Anytime Fitness also has tanning and an amazing machine that provides a hydro massage. I cant seem to say enough nice things about this amazing place and look forward to continue exercising here with my new gym family.

I am the owner of Anytime Fitness here in Grove City. I am always looking for constructive criticism to make a better customer experience. Every single review is greatly appreciated good or bad. However one review on here struck me as oddly bizzare. In response to Chelsea Malone I would like to clear up a few things. One we are an above average size Anytime Fitness. We are regulated and mandated to be a certain size per our franchise agreement as well as provide services. We actually offer more than some other Anytime Fitness locations. From the outside we do look a little smaller because our signage is centered over 2 spaces in this plaza but it opens up when you see it from the inside. We actually took over 3 spaces so I am having serious doubts you actually stepped foot inside. I encourage others to simply read the rest of the reviews from actual members and you will see things such as spacious, and lots to offer etc. Also we pride ourselves on friendliness and kindness. Again I refer to other members and reviews on here. Are we perfect absolutely not but we strive to be. We are not aggressive at all and far from negative. We don't have to be aggressive because the facility sells itself. Its clean, brand new, spacious, and we offer a great product. I can't help but wonder where this hostility is coming from because its so far from the truth that it really does make it bizzare. I welcome constructive criticism to help make us better but when you say we are rude and aggresive and negative I simply can't NOT address this. Everyone that is reading this please read all reviews and take into account they are actually members who have left personal experiences. When you have the overwhelming majority of 5 star reviews saying really great things and one review thats so far different from all the others you have to wonder what the REAL purpose is and where it is coming from. We encourage everyone to just stop down and see for yourselves! : )

This gym is horrible...I couldn't even consider it a gym. It's so small, the staff is so rude and aggressive and for it being such a small gym that doesn't have much compared to other gyms or even other anytime fitness gyms they didn't even lower the price. You pay full price as you would for a normal size gym or any other anytime fitness and get less. No areas to REALLY get ready like you could at others. Over all the staff is so aggressive/defensive with just trying to sell membership and if you have anything to say like oh really there isn't much here or no real spot to get ready they are so mean, negative and aggressive. They won't last at that location and then you are still in contract to the other anytime fitness gyms. Know many people who went for convince of location and are super unhappy with it and have all the same thoughts on size, staff, area to get ready and over all unhappiness with it. Don't waste time energy or money find somewhere else even if it's a10 mins drive somewhere else.

This isn't my "home" gym; I was visiting while out of town. There was only one staff member on site during my visit, and I didn't interact with him, so I can't speak to that. But the facility was very clean and had a lot of different equipment.
