Do not join this gym. Regarding the London, Ohio Gym, there was never staff on site in the morning so I had to leave Post-it notes on the door to ask them to please clean the gym and clean the water fountains. It was absolutely disgusting.
I try to cancel the gym membership with every means at my disposal. I left voicemails with no return calls. I left messages on their website with no response and they continued to charge my credit card every month until the point that I actually had To cancel my credit card and request a new one. Then they had the nerve to send some collection agency after me to update my credit card information. Actually, unbelievable. I’m calling the Better Business Bureau for refund

I love working out at a 24 hour facility! Staff is always very professional and the gym is always clean! Zoe the GM is awesome and very knowledgeable about her gym! PT staff is very knowledgeable in regard to their clients ! Best gym in the London area!

This place is a complete dump compared to other Anytime Fitness and other gyms. From leaks to HVAC issues. Our money is taken like clockwork. But we are not getting our money's worth.

This place isn’t female friendly at all. All of the machines are male focused. I’ve quite literally begged for almost 3 years for them to at least get an abduction machine that goes over 130lbs as it’s very old/outdated, I’ve maxed out on it and most of the arm machines here go over 200lbs. I was told when I joined they would get something if it was an issue. That was an outright lie. They don’t even have a hip thrust machine which is very basic for a gym these days. Beyond that they only have one smith machine and I frequently have to wait over 30 min for it or just give up and go home since I don’t have a spotter. I’m always watching them invest in machines that arent really needed and it’s especially frustrating when it’s a duplicate of a machine that doesn’t get used that much to begin with. I pay a lot of $ here when other gyms are cheaper and actually have diverse competent equipment that’s female inclusive. When my membership is up in the spring I will be thanking God I will be out of this contract and can move on. Beyond that the place is usually pretty dirty.

Gym is lacking a professional and quality facilities. Such as restroom look like something out of a pilot or speedway. (Blown lights peeling paint & dislodged tile / rusty shower heads.
Unorganized areas. Damaged floor. Cluttered free weight area feels like not enough space.
Tanning bed bulb ballasts are bad and need replaced as well as other tanning bed out of order for 4 months now. I stopped coming here because it was poorly maintained. I came back to see if it has improved only ac seems to be fixed.
Corporate or owners need to suck the loss of budget and put money in before this place loses more members as there are 3 other gyms in town. This place doesn't stand out. Even the lights outside with logo are blown parking spaces white lines faded.
I've mentioned to previous managers that the place next door could be a great expansion as it has been vacant for 8 years.
I have hopes this place can be great again.
At the time of writing this there are only 5 people here including me.

I will bump this back to 3 stars since the HVAC appears to have had a bandaid put on it they did the same thing last year and then we had no heat over the winter so time will tell. The cleanliness has improved but still needs some work and equipment has been repaired. Good sized gym with a lot of potential.

Decent selection of weights and equipment. A/C has been down for at least the past couple of months so it's always extremely hot inside the gym and the management / staff / ownership apparently aren't going to do anything to fix it. I would definitely recommend looking at other options in town.
Edit: owner replied below that they were working to get units replaced. It has now been over a month and the Air Conditioning is still broken. They originally told my wife and I that they would comp us 2 months of membership fees for the issues and to give him two weeks and it would be fixed or he would cancel our memberships. It's been double that time frame and now the manager will not respond to keep his promise of canceling the memberships. We have all of this in writing through email and will take another avenue of approach to resolve.

Been a member off and on for around 5 yrs. Location of gym is my main reason for using. Recently had some issues involving general local staff and AC not working. Reached out to the regional manager (nice polite guy) was told things will be fixed (AC) soon and the staff issues adjusted. Overall, the gym needs improvement for the price paid. The gym suits my needs overall.

Good luck getting ahold of someone... Doors are always locked and no one will answer the phone! I stopped by to look into getting a membership and no one was there, I spoke with someone going in and they said there hasn't been anyone working the desk for over two weeks. I called the number and left a couple messages and never heard anything... Thankfully I found a welcoming gym not to far from this one!

For the price we pay something need done to this facility. The bi- weekly cost is higher than any first-class fitness center. This equipment is already two decades older than anywhere else that has a public fitness center.

Now the AC has not worked for the last 2 years, when it rains you can't work out as it leaks everywhere, not to mention the STINK. The management is non responsive to legit concerns however will post very rude retaliative and threatening notes on the door.

. I am not very happy with this place I’m not able to work out anymore due to knee issues so I thought I would keep my membership for the tanning well now there is only one bed and it gets locked when staff leaves there are some people that work after 6pm and would like to take advantage of that. This building stinks like musty mold I can’t wait till my membership is over I would never refer anyone to this place.

I have only been at the gym a little over a month and they keep taking out charges. I have already been charged over a hundred dollars. I pay 700$ a year to workout here and all of the bathrooms are out of service.
The filter on the water fountain has been bad for weeks.

I appreciate the real "anytime" availability and the location of this facility. I also invested in some Personal Training. Jack and David are amazing at understanding my needs and not only educate me on the how but the why and answer any questions I have. They demostrate each and every activity and ensure I am working it correctly so I do not injure myself when solo and maximize the workout(s). Kaya is an amazing and friendly manager, who always greets me with a smile, asks me how my experience has been and genuinely cares about making everything a positive experience.

I wish I never joined. I feel like I was kinda tricked , it’s so expensive and then when I refused to hire a personal trainer the guy acted like he couldn’t be bothered with me any more . You pay so much and then on top of that they are like oh yeah we have an up keep fee, why the hell you charge so much if that’s not used to help with up keep. I’m canceling my membership period . Please don’t join this gym. Find something that doesn’t cost your first born son and your soul .

I have been a member at this location since it opened. I have watched it go downhill over the years.
This is the 2nd summer in a row where the owner refuses to fix or replace the A/C. Try working out when it’s 88 degrees inside! They now have about 6 or so fans trying to do the A/C job. It doesn’t work people.
UNACCEPTABLE to say the least.
A gym should be a temperature controlled environment!
Stay away until the air conditioning gets replaced.
There is another gym here in town so it’s probably about time I go check that facility out.

Update: 9/4/2024: The A/C has now been replaced and it’s now comfortable to work out. Also, cleaning is obviously happening as well. Please keep up the ongoing maintenance for your members. I can enjoy this location again!!

I would never recommend the Anytime Fitness in London OH. The facility is always filthy. They take too long to repair broken equipment. The roof leaks when it rains. And when you finally have had enough and want to cancel, the staff will be extremely rude and make the process unbearable!!!

Pay cash if you decide to get a membership here, I signed a two year contract and after that two year they told me to come in and they would cancel my membership. Well that was complete b.s. sent 2.5 more more months after my contract was up trying to cancel it. They say anything to get u to sign but nothing when your contract is up. Never had to write a letter and send it certified mail to get them from stealing me money after I finished my commitment w them. Their rates are off wall expensive now, 27$ every two weeks and oh don’t forget the 1 time 80$ charge on top of that in August for gym equipment repair. What a joke, can’t believe they are still in business here in London.

It was clean. They need more instructions on how to use the equipment. That way you don't have to pay for a trainer cuz not everybody is "rich and famous". Just maybe a label for what the machine is called and a short synopsis of how it's used would be perfect.

I have been trapped into a year contract with the promises of unlimited hours of tanning and because I work 3rd shift, I thought this was perfect. Only to find out, well covid didn't allow ANY access to tan, and when that lifted a bit, I find out tanning is only available whenever a staff member is there. I had ONE opportunity to tan (which was an extremely weak bed) when someone accidentally left the tanning room door unlocked. ONE TIME. Other times I've went NO STAFF AVAILABLE. And don't bother calling cuz no one will well answer. I can't wait to turn in my"key" and end this contract and stop my BIWEEKLY charges of almost $18 The machines looked well enough for an average gym workout... nothing special and I noticed how there mustn't be housekeeping, that staff must have those duties and they fail miserable because it's truly disgusting.

Scam contract. Don't sign. They told me I could easily cancel over the phone when I let them know I'd be moving so I figured I'd just cancel after the move. I called them and they informed me they couldn't cancel over the phone and that I had to be there to sign. They wouldn't hault my account and continued to charge me for 6 months even though I didn't step foot in the gym the entire time and threatened to report my account to a collection agency. All the equipment you need is there and functioning. They have roped off certain machines to comply with social distancing guidelines, but all machines have been in working order. The staff here is super friendly! I'm looking forward to classes starting back up so I can check out their yoga classes! My boyfriend and I have only been members for a week now, but we couldn't be happier!

I've been a member of Anytime Fitness for over a year and it has been great as I've been able to access many of the gyms during my travels across the country.

I visited this branch being very skeptical due to the low reviews. But I was seriously shocked at why this place had a low review. I understand that people need to cancel their memberships and this is not the gym's fault as they are a franchise and they have a way they work.

The gym itself is well maintained and the staff are super friendly. They have more equipment than a few other Anytime Fitness branches I've been to. I would definitely visit this branch when in the area.

I was told, at the time of signing my contract, that if I wanted to cancel my membership I could just come in and cancel it, easy peasy. Nope! They gave me a number to call and there's so many hoops to jump through to cancel. My requests to cancel was denied and still have to pay monthly for my membership plus fees. I have been into the gym ONE time, and I have continued to pay the monthly membership fees for approximately 8 months. This experience has been totally absurd.

My wife went in for the Silver Sneakers and they convinced her she needed the $160 a month ($40 per session) membership to accomplish anything. The training was not all that great. Three times no one showed up for her appointment. If you have Silver Sneakers, don't accept their contract. It is supposed to be paid by Medicare. As others have said, canceling is not the easiest.

The gym is average BUT good luck if you ever try to cancel your membership. I spent 40 minutes on the phone with their third party billing company ABC Financial. They require you to type letter and send it certified mail. It should not take that much of my time to cancel a membership at a gym.
