This place has absolutely no management. After cancelling my membership in November and having the “one month” fee deducted, they continued to take 2 more payments months later!! DO NOT SIGN UP FOR A MEMBERSHIP. you will never get out of it and they will continue to take your money.

If I could give negative stars I would. First off let me preface this review by saying if you expect to get into contact with ANYONE from the Mt Vernon location, or the Coshocton location, you're sadly mistaken. NEITHER place answers their phones, or calls you back. I guess I should have listened better when I read the reviews 3 years ago that said not to sign up. My membership contract was ending and I wanted to cancel it. After trying to get into contact with ANYONE for the Mt Vernon site by phone, and showing up during their "Staffed Hours" to no avail, I called ABC Financial. After explaining to them the problems I have had, they reached out to the club owner. Surprisingly 2 days later the current manager reached out to me so I could come in, sign a form, and cancel my membership. I went in, cancelled it, TURNED IN MY KEY FOB, and thought all was said and done. The manager did mention there would be 1 more charge to my account. I disputed, but for the sake of being done with this place I let it go. Now here I am, almost 2 months later and find out THEY NEVER SENT IN THE PAPERWORK! ABC financial can't do anything because they have no contact for the club, I can't get into the club because I turned in my key fob, and the manager at the time did not provide any copy or digital copy of my sign off (like he said they would). This club has been collecting payment from me ILLEGIALLY for the past 2 months, and there is nothing ABC Financial can do, because the club has to terminate the membership. Needless to say a claim and report has been filed with the BBB by the time I hung up the phone from trying to contact the club, after by call with ABC Financial. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH THIS PLACE!

I rarely post reviews, but feel it is necessary in this case. My husband and I went in no less than three times to cancel our membership in accordance with the hours listed on the door of the gym. All three times, no employee was present. Naturally, we continued to be charged gym fees because we were unable to cancel. (Cancellation requires in-person interaction with a staff member.) I called only to be sent to voicemail. When they called back, we were told he must come in during the middle of the day, which is inconvenient for those with time-sensitive work commitments. However, we made it work. Apparently, the policy of Anytime Fitness is that you will continue to be charged the full price of your subscription for 30 full days after signing the document. When I questioned this practice based on the fact that they did not hold up their end of the deal but being consistently absent from the facility, they insisted on "proof" of our attempts. How can one demonstrate proof when not a single employee is present? Therefore, I cannot recommend this gym to our community. The company does not keep its commitments, leaving local managers scrambling to cover multiple gyms and then shuffling the consequences of their absence onto clients. We will not be pursuing membership with them at any point in the future. Clients deserve better.

AVOID this Anytime Fitness!!!! I am undergoing treatments for prostate cancer and can't work out without pain so am trying to cancel my membership. The manager(s) never responded to my email and phone calls, SHAMEFUL. Had to get my credit union involved to stop payments from my checking account... trying to reach corporate is just about impossible as well. Will be contacting local lawmakers and the BBB.

This “business” is not in the gym business anymore—- they are in the business of going OUT of business because of the rude staff… the “trainers” who mean-mug people, the managers (who never last very long) and the complete inability of employees to develop a rapport with members. Absolutely pathetic place to workout, with an owner who seems to be continuously MIA. They sell NO supplements for pre or post workout, and their total self-absorption filters down to the members, who ALSO don’t care about the place, as it all runs downhill…. They stay in their little office 90% of the time, and now that another big chain is moving in across the street, it’s game over for this place… it’s on life support now, and the two of them will cannibalize each other until one goes down. And you can BET it’s not going to be the other guys.
Save your time, money, and aggravation.
If you have a membership and are having trouble canceling (as so many are) my advice is to simply close your bank account and open a new one unless your bank will stop the auto draft. These people are first class predators.

My special needs child who just turned 18 but is still in school and living under my care some how hot signed up for a membership at this gym. She never even went to this gym and the information on the contract they provided ro me was inaccurate. I called and spoke with the manager there and they absolutely refuse to cancel the membership.They must make their money their money trapping people into contracts they do not want or use. Even if it means taking advantage of children. It's despicable.

My three year membership is FINALLY coming to a close and setting up a meeting to sign the cancellation agreement is literally impossible. I had a meeting scheduled today with Victoria and when I arrived (I can’t access the gym myself, I misplaced my key fob) she would not answer any of my calls or texts even though we had previously talked and she was aware that I’d be calling. Not to mention, it was ridiculously difficult to get ahold of anyone to begin with. I’m so over it, if I could give this place zero stars I would.

This place was great when I signed up, until they started going through multiple general managers and trainers. The manager signed my friend up for a 3 year contract instead of a one year contract. The personal trainers had no stability and you could never get an appointment scheduled. The tanning beds were hardly ever open. When I went to signed my cancelation notice, the manager became very rude and extremely unprofessional. I never felt comfortable being there as a female and recommend anyone going there!

The gym memberships are much cheaper at the YMCA!

My boyfriend got a member ship here right before the pandemic started. He moved in with me shortly after and the Anytime Fitness near us closed. The closest Anytime Fitness to us after that was 24 miles away. Despite this and the pandemic, they held him to a contract which they refused to provide for us after we requested it. They were extremely unprofessional and threatening in their communication and attempted to bully and harass him over call and text. This company is full of money hungry and dishonest employees. We ended up having to ban transactions on his card and are now reporting to the BBB.

Don't get a membership here!! unless you want ripped off. I sighed up for a 3 month was told it would be done after 3 months there was nothing further that needed to be done. Well after 3 months they continued charging my card and said that I was on a month to month contract that was never told to me would happen after my 3 months was done then they said I had to cancel in person and it would take 30 days to do so.I am going to reach out to the better business bureau about them and also they Harasse you call you and text every day🤬 this has got to be one of the most unprofessional places I have ever gone to

The facility was ok the staff changes repeatedly we ful filled are contract and wanted to cancel we had to do it in person and could never catch a worker there to cancel even during normal business hours this went on for 9 months when we did finally get it canceled they said they have a 30 day notice policy and still charged us for another month and a maintenance fee the last month cost us 160 bucks after we turned I'm our key fobs and canceled the current management is a joke and won't return calls or call you after you speak to them in person with any updates

My husband and I got a membership back in September of 2020. We signed up for a year. And on our paperwork they had us down for 3. We've tried multiple times to cancel because we don't use the membership. They basically told us "no and if we did youd have to pay over A THOUSAND" I even offered to pay it and cancel the membership. Her response was "well that would be paying for something your not even using" no difference than whats going on right now! We're both full time workers so going there even just one day does not work. I've even asked my bank to quit letting them take money from my account because they send me -136$ EVERY 2 WEEKS. Its down right ridiculous. Don't go here if you wanna get scammed.

I like the place, have been going there for a couple of years, there have been house cleaning and customer relations improvements recently with the new Club Manager Sal Polotto. Members are good to be around. I have no complaints and would recommend to anyone working to be healthy.

In town for training at #Ariel for the week. I use a local non-franchised gym back home, thus tried to find a gym for week. I spoke with Rachel the previous week, though she was helping a client at the time of call she called back promptly, several times as a game of phone tag had ensued. Long story short Rachel informed me they had a drop in rate and a monthly rate, but once I was here they would figure out what worked best for the me.

Upon arrival this week, I had a pleasant greeting by Rachel and her GM-Stephanie. Can I say they made me feel like a local, as if we went to different schools together. Today, they gave me a week pass for free, as in their words they would "rather foster a long term relationship than a quick buck"

After they typical exchange of information, was given a tour of the gym, which was kept clean and well laid out.

I have been trying to cancel my membership for months and it is no easy task. I was told that it was on my file not to renew my contract once it ended, that was a lie. I called them when I saw that the they were still withdrawaling money after my contract was up. I was given 3 different number to call to cancel, two different emails that were both wrong. It has been hell trying to cancel a membership that I don't use. Oh, but don't forget the icing on the cake. You are responsible for any payment 30 days after you cancel. So, if you have monthly payments you have to pay for a whole month that you cant use, because you canceled your account

For the amount you are paying for gym membership, the place is dirty, stink bugs crawl on your clothing, stink bugs are all over the carpets and flying on machines, all the machines are squeaky and dirty, treadmills are loud when you run on them, the bathrooms are dirty, the air conditioning is never turned up during the summer, dust bunnies in the corners and under machines, mirrors nasty.

This has been the worst customer service experience I've ever had. To start, I knew from the beginning that you have to pay 1/2 of your payment if you cancel so even though I think that's ridiculous, I am not upset about that. I'm upset because after my contract was up, I called 3 times to cancel my membership, and I was only called back once and it wasn't at the number I gave them to call me at, so I missed it. I also emailed them a month before my membership was up to ask how to cancel and never received a response. Today, when I finally got a hold of someone, I had to call ABC financial to cancel and they told me they need a 30 day written notice to cancel. Besides that fact that requiring a 30 day written notice is unnecessarily difficult and obviously just to make it difficult to cancel, I could have been canceled already if Anytime Fitness had responded to my email back in February.
Also, since I've had the account, they've had my email and phone number mixed up with another customer, Jayna, who didn't pay her fees. After months, I finally got them to stop calling and texting me as Jayna, but I am still receiving emails telling me my account is overdue and going to collections, but really it is Jayna's account. I've emailed them several times and they always tell me it's taken care, but it never is.

The staff Nate Matt and Nick go out of their way to work with you and around your financial schedule my daughter went into the hospital on Christmas and so their visit this year was longer and I wanted to make Christmas more special which set my finances back and my resources low, making me pull money from other areas and not having enough in my bank account to cover my bills.
I went in the negative because of overdraft fees to purchases that were for my children.
Anytime Fitness understood the situation and worked with me.
I still had some personal training sessions and Matt and Nick never ceased to amaze me at they're willing to take the time to listen
... if anyone knows me that doesn't happen for me very often.
A lot of people know me as being brutally honest.
Make no mistake these guys won't let you fall or fail.
They give you an opportunity to see for yourself where improvement in your self worth lies, knowing only you can discover that. They are there when you fall flat on your face in life giving you a leg to stand on to reach for the hope you forgot was there the whole time within yourself
There are times when I felt lost nowhere to go and no one to talk to and the gym is always open just waiting
to bring out the best in You Anytime.

The trainers here couldn't care less. Eric is not responsive. After being transferred to a new trainer I received a group text from him a few days later saying he no longer works there due to pay issues and unkept promises from his boss. A month later I still haven't been able to schedule and I'm not receiving any refunds.

Clean gym but not set up for serious weight lifters. The treadmills are jokes! Those treadmills are junk! So dissatisfied! This gym is setup for aerobics and crossfit style workouts, but not for weight lifters and serious runners. No room for deadlift!

I have been a member since this gym opened. The trainers are very knowlegeable and helpful. The gym has a large amount of equipment and is actually the largest anytime fitness i have seen or visited. The gym is clean and well lit. There is an additional room for classes and private work. Though i do not use it, the gym even has tanning equipment. The price is very affordable and gym access is 24 hours a day. Love this place!
