This is a relatively well equipped gym for its small size, that rarely feels crowded except sometimes peak time right after work. Typically little or no wait for equipment. The 24 hour concept of AF is very convenient - it’s not always staffed but you can let yourself in and there are a number of security measures in place. As a woman, it feels safe. The staff/coaches are very approachable. Group sessions are beginner friendly but can be adapted to be more or less challenging so I’ve still been enjoying them after a few years.

I had a great lift here. It’s got all the basic and essential things you need to have a decent lift. It was quiet, secluded and peaceful even. Not to mention I had a crazy pump. Staff was super friendly and helpful as well.

I've been a member at Anytime Fitness in Solon for more than 15 years. The facility is accessible any time of the day which suits my changing schedule. The equipment I want to use is always available. Personal trainers are knowledgeable, encouraging and supportive. Cleanliness is a priority to the owner and the gym is clean and well organized. I appreciate that the owner also tries to support the community by offering ways to donate to those in need (for example, accepting donations of worn fitness shoes for the underserved).

One place I stay away from old gym equipment very worn out, they don't upgrade equipment? You pay lots of money and they just pocket your money staff and the owner do not keep that gym up at all. Bathrooms are always dirty I don't go there they should it down nasty place

As a member for over 4 years, anytime fitness in solon has been a great, consistent workout experience. The staff has always been very helpful, easy to communicate with, and quick to resolve any issues that might arise with the equipment. The facilities are always spotless and cleaned daily. Overall, this is a great gym, and I've even used the membership at multiple national and international locations.

I have been a member of Anytime Fitness since 2014 with several members of my family. No matter where I live or work there is always an Anytime close enough to get a workout in 24/7 which fits my lifestyle. I recently visited the Solon location and had a great conversation with their GM Melissa. It was awesome to see she is still there after signing me up 11 years ago. The Solon Anytime always looks great and has everything I need for a great workout 💪

I signed up for a set period of time and prepaid back in 2021 for about 1.5 years or less, I do not remember exact time I paid for. Coorporate called to collect an annual fee since I never had or intended to have card on file. I had my card locked during a large portion of this set time. There was a ton of turn over and even no employees for a time period so I did not have access while I prepaid. Coorporate said they could not help me someone from the gym had to activate. I just noticed early this year 2025, they have been billing my card this entire time. For simplicity I just wanted to be done and cancel not trying to recoup the years of unauthorized monthly charges. I called and talked to someone at the facility who said I had to cancel and give written notice and provided an email. I sent the email, and am still being charged a couple months later. I submitted to my credit card company unauthorized charges. Now I am getting emails from a collection attempt and called and they said I have to cancel my account and they are not authorized to do it, and do not have the information for the club manager to have them contact me. I will not pay forever, because you refuse to cancel me, I do not owe money for a forced membership and the whole experience is just ridiculous.

Super small gym, but had enough equipment for what I needed.
I'm currently visiting family for the week and had to pay $50 for a guest pass when I went with my SIL who has a membership. $50 for a week is a bit ridiculous, I would have been better off paying for a month at another gym and just canceling after the week.

Well equipped with what I need. Only 3 stars because the cleanliness has began to decline badly. There's a significant amount of dust where the baseboards and floor meet. All throughout the gym. The black floor definitely needs mopping. The bathroom next to the squat racks smells like cat pee and has for almost a week now. The turf is VERY noticeably dirty. I mean you can see brown dirt. A cloud of dirt comes up if you drop a plate on down. It looks to be the same turf thats been there since I first came to this gym almost a decade ago. It's not vacuumed regularly and or efficiently, and speak of vacuum. Definitely need to upgrade the vacuum because anytime I see it out it looks filthy and broken. Its definitely not doing the job getting up all the turf dirt. Maybe invest in a Shark or something you can take your time and actually clean. Other than that good gym.

I was disappointed. I have travelled to over 30 AF clubs across the United States, and this club is bottom 5.
The gym structure and equipment shows signs of negligence, and there is acknowledgement of this from the signs posted. The gym is not well cleaned or maintained.

I joined Anytime Fitness in January of this year after struggling with my fitness goals at another gym. I quickly found a team of like-minded folks that know how to motivate regardless of fitness level. There are days that I can't do another mountain climber or hold a plank a second longer but we support each other and push through TOGETHER.
Whether it's small group training or individual fitness counseling, I found my village.

Nice gym just small. Keith is very nice. They have a cool "Evolt Active" machine. I just wish it was explained better. It also says on Google they have a hydromassage which is not accurate and should be updated accordingly.

Do not bother with this gym, please. I don't normally take the time to write reviews but I was just so frustrated with my situation and feel like I should give other people a heads up before they decide to join. When I signed up, I decided to do it specifically for the reason that I thought there wasn't a contract, and that I could leave anytime I wanted, since I was in the process of applying to schools and knew that once I moved I wouldn't need my membership anymore. When the time came that I wanted to cancel, I was informed that I was in contract, and either had to pay out half of the rest of the contract, or provide proof that I was moving. I provided my class schedule , really trying to explain that I didn't have the money to pay for the membership any longer because I was trying to save money for school. The manager at the gym told me that it shouldn't be a problem, and that the cancellation shouldn't take too long. I even checked back in with her a week after that and she told me that it shouldn't take that much longer. Well, when I checked my bank statement, they had charged me for another month. I got into contact with the woman I spoke with and she finally told me the truth, which was that they weren't going to process my cancellation until August, since my class schedule said that i wasn't starting school until early september.
I wasn't using the gym, and was forced to pay a couple hundred dollars that I didn't have to end out my contract. They were not upfront about the cancellation policy or the terms of the contract, which I didn't even know existed. I'm glad they felt okay taking money from a college kid, but I really tried to be upfront with them and they just took more money from me. If I want to leave your gym, and give you a legitimate reason why, then just let me leave. Simple as that. Don't be shady, and come up with these rules just to take more money from me.
Bottom line is that they just want your money, which is fine, I mean you're a business, I get it. But just the way they were not honest with me and just kept certain parts of the cancellation policy in the dark, only to let me know once I had already paid them more money. Come on guys, just not a cool thing to do. Be better.

Anytime Fitness has such an amazing concept. I feel like I'm holding the key to the gym every day and I couldn't be happier. Some gyms might be flashy, but when it comes to the stuff you need, AF in Solon has you covered. Such a variation of workouts from machines to free weights to cardio. And I don't have to walk up 3 flights of stairs to get to my next set. Staff is great and it is ALWAYS CLEAN. I couldn't think of a better gym to join. It's just ran so perfectly. Hands down one of the best companies in my opinion, and Solon has been a great example of that.

Recently joined without a hitch got 2 training sessions in with Ray he's cool, non-judgemental. Got me off on the right foot, hooked me up with their app. Now they send me 2 workouts per week. I can record reps, time, weight,and even rests. Even better the app has a video for every exercise. So you can do it, at least in my case, almost correct.

I was very disappointed in the lack of professionalism pertaining to the manager's inability to keep appointments or reschedule them in a timely manner. I have had to reschedule appointments with the manager more than once but both times I was basically stood up. I am still waiting to be contacted by the manager to reschedule our appointment because their phone service does not have voicemail. I do like the gym.I was able to get a free pass from them by applying online. I did have a positive experience from Ray, who was able to meet with me and go over the different options that were available to me based upon my fitness needs. The idea of having a cable television with its on box and remote on every machine is perfect for me but I cannot ever get in there with the manager to sign a contract. Then there was some confusion regarding which business were alotted a discount from this gym. So there is still a chance that the gym experience can be redeemed but as of right not only three stars.
