Anytime Fitness in Wauseon is top-notch. The gym is clean, the equipment is solid, and there’s always a comfortable, positive vibe. Chris, the manager, is awesome—super friendly, attentive, and always making sure members have what they need. You can tell he really cares about keeping the place running smoothly and creating a great environment. I’ve seen huge progress since joining, and I actually look forward to going. Couldn’t ask for a better gym.

i moved from Wauseon to Defiance. past the required distance to cancel membership. but they told me napoleon was within the required distance. who is gonna drive that far to work out. also there is a maintenance fee. i have paid that at least twice within 8 months. read the fine print, they suck.

Rachel Burks has been my trainer the past year. ! She is excellent in her coaching/training ! She explains what the exercise is for, what muscle etc. She demonstrates how to ,, and makes certain I am doing the exercise properly , as to not hurt myself.! She gives me a lot of support and encouragement.! Love the Wauseon, Anytime Fitness !!

They lie about contract length, charge ridiculous fees for NO reason, the tanning beds were never available, equipment and facilities were always filthy, trainers were rude and pushy, and if you don't get a trainer, you better stay out of their way.
Update:
Still trying to get out of this contract. They still laugh when you try to talk to them about it.They think it's a joke. I hope that place crumbles. If you're thinking about getting a contract through them don't do it.

I've had memberships at gyms all over the country with my 21 years in the Army including a few Anytime Fitness franchises. This one in Wauseon may be small, but they utilize their space very well. All of the essential machines and freeweights are here as well as plenty of cardio equipment as well. I don't give out 5 stars easily, but they earned it with their fantastic staff and clean facilities.

If the facility could keep staff members, I would rate 5 stars. There have been issues with the key fob system not letting people with their fobs in. When unstaffed the bathrooms are pretty wicked. Other than that, great equipment. However when unstaffed and a machine breaks, it's out of commission for a while.

This gym is great, until you try to cancel. I’ve been trying for months to cancel and have had NO success. I do what they ask, and still I’m being charged for a membership I do not use. I joined a gym closer to home. 10/10 would NOT recommend

How often does the gym get cleaned? I'm positive it's not daily. Stopped coming for awhile but the last 2 or 3x's since I have come back it's filthy! Really need to get it together especially in the restroom/shower areas it's repulsive.

I agree with most of these reviews. I would give it a zero but I can’t so I guess it’s a 1 star even though it’s not worth it.

Posting as a “guest”….They advertise you can bring a guest…however in the gym now they say it is only 10-7. Nowhere in the contract does it say it is limited to those hours. False advertising????? No working individual can go to the gym at those times. Manger said they were not franchise owned, however there are signs all over the property saying it is. Then get told there is no corporate phone number???…sounds like the manager does not want this reported to corporate. Not heard one single good word about this place, and sure would never give a dime to a place that can’t keep their facts straight.

Heard really bad things about them charging accounts past membership agreements. We will see when the time comes. A as past PLANET FITNESS member I recommend driving the extra miles to planet fitness where the staff and overall company is trustworthy and respectful of their customers.

Horrible experience. Fulfilled my two year contract and am still trying to get this cancelled 6 months later. So shady. The staff is rude and once you don’t want to use their gym anymore it’s a scam to try and get out of it. This is a big warning. Choose ANY other gym!

DONT GO HERE! Keep charging for things they never said up front. Tried to get out of my memebership said I would have to pay 1500 for both of my account! Go to planet fitness 110x better! Better prices and no hidden fees. And if you want to cancel all you have to do is sign a paper!

Great gym. Horrible service. They messed up my account information, I could never get ahold of anyone. They were sending messages regarding my account to a family member. They charged my account twice in once month, and I still cannot get ahold of anyone. You would think someone would be there to anwser the phone to anwser questions and concerns.

Nice place to workout! I was at a different gym for a year and moved over to Anytime and never regretted it! Wauseon is my home gym, but I have also traveled into different locations during vacations! I love that I can workout anytime (haha) of the day! Staff is nice, as well.

As I am not one to review, but after reading some of other reviews, in similar situations, I am going to. I signed up for a 2 year membership and it expired in January. After month of signing up. I was not able to go anymore (which not there fault) but I still had to pay under contract. Yet my membership expired in January, and here we are 7 months later just randomly take out a membership fee. When I called to question the fee withdrawn, I was told after 2 years it's month to month membership. Never did anyone mention that to me! ESPECIALLY when I called to ask when my membership was up. Also I seen very few responses back on the reviews. Never will I be back and never will refer.

Clean and spacious. Not enough focus on free weights. Barbells are mediocre Hammer Strength. Although there is a deadlift platform and a sled which I do appreciate. Some better barbells and a couple more power racks would be ideal.

They charged me twice. A "annual" payment and then my monthly payment. I was NEVER told about that. Then when I call them when they should be there, no one is. They leave early. I haven't had time to go in over a year but they don't care. Don't go to them. Horrible service. If i could give them zero stars, I would.

Gym is small, but offers a lot of ootions for workouts, but it doesn't offer tanning (bummer). There are generally not many people there so you can workout quietly at your own pace. Super clean and open 24/7.

Lot of really nice equipment for strength building and cardio including free weights, stationary equipment, treadmills, ellipticals, stair climbers, mats for yoga, punching bag, kettle bells, etc. Also have showers and tanning beds. Staff is always very nice as well.

When we signed up we were promised one thing and then were told that it couldnt happen. We did sign up for 36 months since they admitted they screwed up they put us on a 12 agreement. I was ok with that. We move 40 miles away and I have been trying to cancel since 08-04-17. They froze my account and ABC financial still has not canceled my account. I have talked to Club manager and District Manager and they are no help. I just want my membership canceled. I have asked them to help and they cant do anything. I have asked that the owner contact me and that hasn't happened. I didnt know it took 2 months to cancel a membership and stopped being charged.

Truck driver review...

This place is perfect for a quick workout. It's only a few minutes from the 80, which will make this a regular stop for me. If you're coming in late at night, you can easily park your rig adjacent to the building. If coming in business hours, you might find a spot behind the building close to the trees, or closer to the open area behind goodwill. As for the gym itself, it was very clean. Two racks of dumbells. The treadmills are facing the window so you're not looking at a wall. Overall, it's quite nice.
