First, the staff is amazing… nice, polite, accommodating, patient, helpful, I could go on! Second, the things they focus on and how they are able to get the kids to stay focus and be interested and not scared is just impeccable. The atmosphere there is relaxed and aimed at helping the kids learn water safety and how to swim. In just over 2 years, my grandson has gone from a complete non-swimmer at 8 years old to a Level-8 swimmer at 10 years old. He has gained confidence in areas outside of swimming as a result of his success in this activity and loves to be in the water. We are now comfortable taking him to public pools, water parks, canoeing and white water rafting. My other two grandsons have likewise gained confidence in the water and lifelong skills; the 5 year old is in level 6 and the 3 year old is in level 4 thanks to the quality of the instructors and this program. A complete waste of money… My three-year-old has been going here for six months now and we have a pool at our house. He could swim across the entire pool. This is not thanks to aqua tots. They are still now working with him on the same beginner Level, as if he’s never swam in his life I spoke to the front desk about moving him up , and they got an attitude with me and told me that he still needed more work… new teachers every week and sensitive staff no real 1 on 1 interaction just take your kids to the ymca it’s half the price and honestly a better program

My daughter was there for over 6 months, 3 times a week at around 5 years old (she’s 7 now). We spent over $350 a month. After 6 MONTHS, she STILL couldn’t swim from A to B. We pulled her out. It’s not a model designed to teach your kids, it’s designed to keep them there and take your money.
The only positive thing I can say is she’s now more comfortable in the water. She now takes swim lessons at the rec center for cheap and she’s actually progressing.

Coach Alyssa has been so amazing with my children who are now in Level 5. We've also had other amazing coaches in the past, like Paige, Cory, and Quinn. We've been going here for years and keep coming back because of the high-quality instruction. The front desk team is always super helpful. They check us in without us asking, are always pleasant, and ready to help my kids at any time. Leslie is a great manager. We really love Aqua Tots Beavercreek Ohio and can't imagine going elsewhere. I was really happy with the trainers. They were really good with my kid. However, once winter came we thought it was to cold to go through all the wardrobe changes and getting wet so we decided to stop our membership for the winter and resume when the weather got warmer again . They treated me way different once I wanted to cancel. I am having a bunch of issues with my health and I've had to cancel a few times and get make up classes but as soon as I mentioned cancellation they took my make up classes away a week before christmas after they said my membership ended on January 5th and took my money for that duration as well. Then they stated they would charge me a extra 20$ to make them up and that I could only make them up if I resumed my membership. I felt no compassion or empathy from them and it's just not the vibe I want my child to be in. Honestly, I'm not surprised that a business treats you like trash after you mention cancellation. If they aren't taking our money they aren't happy with us. I'm over it. I will be taking my business to YMCA where it's 120$ for 6 sessions and they are individual based. Way better deal and way better vibe and way more family orientated in their morals and values.

Let me start this off by saying that the staff of this swim school is top notch! Leslie has been so sweet and inviting every time I see her. She goes out of her way to make the kids feel special she remembered my granddaughters superhero towel that she normally wears around (it's in the laundry) So my granddaughter had to settle for her Nemo towel. I’m super happy we started going here. Everyone we’ve interacted with has been super nice and it’s made my kids feel comfortable in an environment they’re not used to (a pool). We did not have a good experience. My daughter was not on-boarded correctly resulting in a bad first experience. Afterwards I went to the location and chatted with a “coach” and we came up with a specific plan for my child. I arrived at 8am with my child and the “coach” I had talked to had been subbed out with someone else. This resulted in a second bad experience. At this point I was concerned my child that had no anxiety about swimming, but is sometimes anxious about new adults would indeed develop swim anxiety. We were told we could keep the classes and try again later this year. My account now shows no classes. They must have cancelled them out. They happily kept the approx $200 despite my daughter never passing through the glass doors to the pool area. An actual manager never called me. I only talked to front desk folks that made it clear that the manager is just too busy and they couldn’t do anything. I gave it two stars because I am certain if my child had been on-boarded correctly things would have been different.

Not pleased with this swim school. Seems a bit unorganized. Classes are always being cancelled. No one explains the contract but rather throws it in your face just to sign. Cancelled membership due to relocating out of state, was not aware of needing 30 day notice. I was advised a supervisor would call me back in regards to waiver. No supervisor ever called back and when I went for swim classes one evening to speak with one none were available at that time. When I finally was able to get in touch with one (CAT) all she kept repeating was about the 30 day contract in no regards to what I was explaining. Then she tried to compare it to a gym membership contract. The gym membership contract I have cancels the day I cancel it. Very insensitive.

*this is a long rant, but can be useful for anyone trying to take children under the age of two.

Early days;

Starting was the best experience we had the same teacher for our level one class for at least 3-4 months. felt good knowing that the teacher could see my son improving week by week.

After honeymoon phase:

We started noticing new teachers each week and a concerning number of cancellations beginning to appear. We weathered the storm until we starting collecting more make-up visits then actually being able to swim.

At this point around 5/22 we decided to cut ties with Aqua-tots feeling the value provided wasn’t worth the cost.

Current day:

We received a promotion to return with a new GM running the facility (exciting!)

We signed up my original son (almost 2 years old) and my second son for his first lesson (6 months)

Day before the first lesson 10/1/22 we were informed that my oldest sons level 2 class would be unavailable for 9:00. They offered 8:15 and we agreed.

Day of the first lesson 10/2/22 we got a phone call at 8:00 letting us know the teacher who was doing the level 2 class at 8:15 had to move to another class since their teacher didn’t show up this morning.

My other son had his class for 9:15 same day. We get everything ready stop for breakfast and arrive at 9:05.

We attempt to sign my son in for his 9:15 level one class, but can’t find it on the schedule.

Not thinking much of it I go put his swim clothes on and head back out. It’s 9:15 and my wife is speaking with the front desk.

We are informed that swim instructor was not present for today as well.

Conclusion:

It feels very disappointing for me and my wife, who were so excited and hyping up this weeks start of new swim lessons.

We are fortunate that our children aren’t old enough to understand what unfolded today, so they don’t feel the same way.

Currently will continue to give the new management a chance, but it wasn’t a very good first day experience as no one got to use the pool.

That BreJuana is an amazing Swim teacher. She knows what she is doing and adapts to the situation. My son attended Aquatots for 1.5 years before we decided to quit. I'd like to say first off, we did not quit because of the staff. They were all wonderful, doing the best they could. We especially loved my son's coach, coach Bree, and we were very sad to leave her & the rest of the staff behind because of the progress my son made while there.

Our reasons for stopping were because of decisions aquatots management/headquarters made:
1) Price hike: private (snap) lessons increased from $163 a month to $408 per month at the beginning of 2022. My son could not communicate verbally when we first started swim lessons, so private lessons were a necessity. He became more verbal as time went on, but he got used to the private lessons and switching to group was not going to work for him.
2) Aquatots missed classes: We could have gotten over the price hike, especially since my son did well under coach Bree, but Aquatots implemented a new missed class policy in 2022. The rule was if Aquatots canceled, we had 1 year to make up the class. If a parent canceled, we had 30 days to make up a class. In 2022, we canceled a total of 1 class. All other classes were canceled by Aquatots. Unless it was a holiday, they were only giving us 30 days for makeups! I was not aware of this at first and we lost probably 5-6 makeup days. We also weren't always issued a makeup class when we were supposed to. At $102 per class, this was unacceptable. When I raised it to the staff, there wasn't much they could do. I tried talking to a manager but there wasn't one available to talk.

Between the price hike and issue with makeup classes, we couldn't justify continuing to send my son.

I’ve had such a horrible experience with Aquatots with very poor follow up. At the end of last year all our makeup classes got canceled without them letting us know. The person I spoke with told us it’d be valid for a year from when we register initially. Two weeks in a row our class got canceled ThrEe times (two for valid reasons) but the last time they didn’t even have us on the roster even though we had an email confirmation. When speaking with the front desk, they did very little to help us. I’m very frustrated because I drive from 40 min away with two small kids. Horrible experience and would not recommend it

I have really enjoyed taking my son to swim lessons. We have had a few different coaches and they have been really great! One of them was not my favorite personality wise but she taught well and interacted well with my son. It seems like each of the coaches teaches in a little bit of a different way but that is okay. Everyone has been helpful!

Yesterday was my 1 year old sons first lesson at the Aqua Tots in Beavercreek. Let me just say the staff was amazing! Everyone was so friendly and you can tell they enjoy their job. Everyone paid attention to my son, talking and interacting with him and that made me feel good.

Even when I called several days ago to sign him up the woman I spoke to on the phone was super friendly and eager to help.

I’ve already recommended them to my momma friends and will continue to do so!

We’ve been members at Aqua-Tots for almost 3 years now (since our oldest son was 8 months old!). We’ve had nothing but good experiences at Beavercreek Aqua-Tots. The instructors are so patient and knowledgeable. Both of our boys (currently ages 1 and 3) love the water, but more importantly, are learning about safety in and around water. Aqua-Tots in Beavercreek is simply great. Everyone who works there is so accommodating and friendly. My daughter absolutely loves her lessons with coach Ian. Each child is treated as an individual, which is always nice to see, because they are. The peace of mind one gets from seeing their child become more comfortable with the water is priceless. We have been with Aqua Tots Beavercreek since they opened this location, with breaks during the summers. And despite the steep prices for 30 minute lessons, both my boys (now 5 and 3.5 years) have made significant progress in their swimming ability. They are now extremely comfortable in the water and are learning life long, proper swimming techniques. Our 5 year old can swim fully independently now! The boys have fun while learning the skills. One key thing is how personable the staff and coaches are, greeting the kids by name every time. They are super accommodating with changes to schedules or last minute cancellations which makes my life easier! Facilities and pool are also clean. My only grief is sometimes the lessons start a few minutes late and when you’re paying roughly $20+ per 30 minutes, every minute counts! Overall, very happy to have a pool like this here in Beavercreek.

We are very blessed that we have been members at both of the local Aqua-Tots. We have gotten the best treatment and lessons at both locations! The people are great, the coaches are great. I know that we could go somewhere else and do lessons cheaper, but I know the experience wouldn’t be the same. I know our son would not be the swimmer he is today without Aqua-Tots. Even though we are cancelling lessons because we feel our son is in a great place, we will continue to refer people to Aqua Tots. Thank you to an amazing journey and teaching our son to swim!

My two daughters (ages 5 & 3) love taking swimming lessons at Aqua-Tots! Their coach is great with the kids and is really helping them learn their skills well.
