About the Club

At Home Senior Fitness offers at-home and on-line personal training and fitness guidance for older adults. Individual sessions and the overall fitness plan are personalized and focus on maintaining and increasing strength, mobility and balance. All workouts are conducted under the direction of Certified Personal Trainers with experience and certification to work with older adults. AHSF is not a one-size-fits-all service; it meets clients where they are in terms of fitness, motivation, equipment available. Train in your home in the Cleveland suburbs (with restrictions) or virtually anywhere in the world!
Join us for Group Classes too! Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 1-2 pm.

Michael's classes got me thru the early months of COVID-19. Many days it was the highlight of my day. Now I'm enjoying 2X/week Zoom workouts that are challenging but not exhausting. Workouts are varied, some with weights, some not. Alternatives offered for many of the exercises. His sense of humor and encouragement makes the workout fly by.

After breaking my shoulder in 3 places, and going through a long rehab process, I found At Home Senior Fitness. I hired Amy Nieman for 10 sessions, with the goal of learning how to increase my strength, flexibility, and balance. (I'm a 68 yo woman with osteoporosis) Amy was, quite simply, the angel I needed. She is knowledgeable, patient, sensitive to the abilities of older women, and just a joy to work with. Over the course of our 10 sessions, she built up for me a series of exercise routines that I practice regularly. She included ways to "step up" each routine if I felt that I needed more of a challenge. Amy taught me how to exercise, and she gave me the support and motivation I needed to make exercise a regular part of my life. I recommend her without reservations!

Michael Ungar is a five star trainer who is very fair re pricing of sessions. I have been with him for 48months seeing him several times a week. We always do different routines at our sessions.
I am a 79+young fella with several arthritic issues (back, knees) that restrict range of motion and are painful. We do a variety of exercises incorporating aerobic, strength, balance and flexibility. Looking forward to 2025 to push the envelope a little further.

I've been working out twice a week with Michael for just over a year, and it has made a huge difference in my life. Obese and in my late 60's, I found my range of motion had grown very restricted, my joints were killing me, and simple tasks like picking up after my dog were getting more and more difficult.

A year later, I'm still obese and still in my late 60's, but my knees and hips (original equipment) are not nearly as sore. I can squat, pick up dog poop, and get back to a standing a position without thinking about it. I can go up and down stairs without holding on. Okay, that's not bodybuilder stuff, but it means a lot to my quality of life.

Even better, my vitals and labs are significantly better. Blood pressure is down measurably, as is my resting heart rate. My AC1 is down and my good cholesterol is up. I blame Michael for this.

Understand, I am not an exercise kinda guy. But I actually look forward to our sessions. I may not like the exercise, but I relish the banter and the encouragement.

I recommend At Home Senior Fitness without reservation. Now plank for me!

Michael motivates me to exercise. The convenience of being able to work out from home on zoom is THE BEST! I live over 100 miles from Michael and we work out three times a week. And the exercises are geared towards me. He customizes each workout towards your needs and does not do the same thing over and over. I look forward to our workouts. An added bonus is Michael's easy going sense of humor.
