Place is beyond horrible teachers will tell and make kids feel like they have done something wrong. My grand daughter came out of class feeling like she did something wrong. These people are beyond rude I would highly recommend finding a better place or see for yourself we have been here 4 years and never again

This is my kids (2) last year at this place.. the dance teacher Sue is absolutely terrible to the kids and parents alike.. she yelled at my kid for forgetting her shoes ONE time .. she told my oldest daughter its not fair to her (sue) she didn't come to pictures but the pictures conflicted with another sport as they were scheduled on a day my daughter didn't even hve dance.. she is the most disrespectful individual I have ever dealt with in youth sports/activities to both the children and adults alike.. she has called children out and embarrassed them when she was in the wrong and we are talking about 4-7 year olds.. my kids will finish this year out because they are not quitters but we will definitely be finding somewhere new next year..

If youre thinking about coming to this place, mom to mom, I highly recommend you find somewhere else to protect your kids and allow them to thrive anywhere but here

My children have been going here for 4 years now but this will be our last like alway in life one person has to ruin for for everyone most the staff here is awsome but sue is one the most rudest people I have ever met and the deal breaker for us was finding out she kept telling my daughters class 7-9 year olds 4 different occasions in one hour that it wasn't fair to her that kids didnt show up for pictures and made them feel like it was their fault you just dont do that to kids my daughter was sad on the way home and btw we missed our pictures because they was on a day we dint even have dance or gymnastics and was on her soccer day. Then she was asking my daughter last practice 101 questions about where my wife works and is it a hospital trying to get info out my daughter. Be careful with this place mainly her

This will be my daughters fourth year at Avante, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! My child has struggled with anxiety, and finding a nurturing environment was essential. From our very first visit, the staff was incredibly welcoming and understanding.

The instructors are not only talented but also patient and supportive. They create a warm atmosphere where every child feels safe to express themselves. My child has flourished in this environment, gaining confidence and making new friends.

My 2 daughters have been taking dance and gymnastics at Avante for the past 5+ years, and I couldn't be more thrilled with the experience! My girls would honestly rather be with their dance family than anywhere else!

I’m not sure what goes on here. 10 years ago I put my oldest in ballet here. She loves it at first. Then she started hiding her ballet clothes she she didn’t have to go. The last time she went the instructor spoke to me and she seemed enraged bc she was not doing a move correctly. She was trying to show me to teach her but she was extremely enraged over it. My daughter was freaked out she was only 8 years old and her first time in a dance class.

10 years later I enrolled my 3yr old to do gymnastics. She LOVED it soo much!! She was so excited to go every week. Her Dad is the one who would take her since I was working during that time. She came home in a different outfit then she was sent in. I asked him what happened why did she have a different outfit on her said idk it was picture day and I had to pay an addition $15 more than the package. So I was like did you change her? He said no she was In that when she came out. I was taken back when he said that. I said so they just changed her and didn’t ask you to change her. He said they did it and she just came out in a new outfit. I felt uncomfortable that they did that and didn’t just ask him to do it. Since she is only 3 she cannot get that on and off herself. I didn’t want to make a big deal out of it. I said well she will let me know if everything was ok by the way she acts about going.

The next week he took her like always and came right back. I ask him what happened? He said she wouldn’t go back with them she was screaming and throwing a fit and refused. She has never done this before not even for very first time going. I was like ok maybe bc she didn’t have her nap. A day before it was time to go again I was asking her if she was excited to see her friends at gymnastics tomorrow. She said no gymnastics is bad it’s ugly. ( she calls things ugly when she doesn’t like it)
The next week after that I asked her again do you want to see your friends this week? She said no gymnastics is bad I don’t like it.

I called Avante and left a message for someone to call me back I wanted to discuss what happened with someone. I was assuming she was freaked out bc she doesn’t know very well got her naked and she knows that is bad. I wanted to ask if that was their policy and why they wouldn’t just have her Dad change her outfit? And to let them know bc of this it has ruined my child’s experience.
A week went by and no call back. I called again and left a voicemail explaining what happened and my concern. Still no call back.

Today I left a message enraged that nobody has called me back about such a concerning situation. Now this is making me think something happened that day and they are trying to avoid the conversation!!!

I will update if they call back but l will be taking time off work next week to go in if I haven’t heard back from them.

The only things my two kids have on common is that they are both bi racial. I see so many great reviews about Avante I can’t understand why only my 2 kids had a bad experience and they went there 10 years apart

I have been dancing here for 16 years. From the age of 3 to now at the age of 19. I joined the competition team at the age of seven and I wouldn’t have changed anything about my experience. The staff is so sweet and makes everyone feel at home! They are definitely like my second family and Avante will always be my home💓

My children have been involved in both dance and gymnastics at Avanté for two years. There are not enough words for me to communicate my gratitude to the entire staff for the love they have shown to our family. My kids have grown so much, not just as dancers and gymnasts, but more importantly, as people. Like home, Avanté is a place where they know they are loved unconditionally. I can't imagine being anywhere else.

My daughter and I LOVE this FAMILY of dancers and gymnasts!!!

Not knowing much about dance or gymnastics, we originally selected this establishment due to the great location in Heath which is center to everything we do. The staff was AMAZINGLY helpful in getting my daughter signed up for the correct classes and ENCOURAGING her to do her best. I was EXCITED that they offered both dance and gymnastics! This is great for parents - one location for all your classes! I have ALWAYS had all my questions answered timely and professionally. The dance routines and costumes are age appropriate. I love that we are given a calendar of events at sign up! This makes it easy to plan ahead and let Family members plan ahead also.

Now, several years later, my daughter is STILL dancing here AND doing gymnastics. The staff is still very ENCOURAGING of all the students. They also instill this encouraging mindset and a strong work ethic into the students. The confidence and passion that my daughter has gained from her time at this studio has carried over into EVERYTHING she does!

My daughter is quite proud of "watch weeks", where she gets to showcase what she has learned in the studio or on the gym floor (dates of these in the flyer received at sign up!!!). I LOVE that the kids get to practice weekly with their class without the pressure of parents and spectators watching their every move. I believe this helps build confidence in their skills and comradery with their peers.

I just cannot say enough about what a great place this is! If you are looking for a place where your child can grow and flourish, then this is the place!!!

My daughter has been a member here since she was 5 years old. We are in our 8th year and she couldn’t be happier. This place has become our second home and our family. Dance routines and costumes are age appropriate. Instructors are patient and instill great work ethics to the children. A great place to feel welcome and to build confidence. I’ve been dancing at Avante since I was about 4 years old. I am still dancing there today on the competition team. The staff is great and makes sure the needs of every child is reached. They are family friendly and also make dance/gymnastics fun. It’s a great place.

My daughter started here in 2010 and we are still here. A calendar is furnished at sign up so I have always known when recital was 9 months in advance. My questions have always been answered by phone (they are only there after 3pm) or when one of the teachers walk through the lobby which is several times each night. Most importantly, my daughter has tremendous respect for the owner and has grown as a dancer so much over the years. All of these children have.
