I absolutely love this studio. I have been going to AYA regularly for the last 6 months and have had nothing but a positive experience each time. At this point I’ve had a class with almost all of the instructors. I love that each brings their own unique flair yet maintain consistency that embodies the vibe of the studio. I’ve brought a variety of guests who have varying levels of experience with yoga and each had a great time and felt comfortable in the class. Whether you are brand new or very experienced this studio will meet you where you are and provide a welcoming space to move together. Absolutely cannot recommend enough. ♥️

I had the privilege of attending a class with Alex Caplinger at AYA Yoga in Columbus, and it was an incredible experience. From the moment the class began, Alex created a welcoming and calming atmosphere that allowed me to fully immerse myself in the practice. Her Thursday night classes are especially unique, as they include a meditation that really helps you feel, think, and breathe more deeply. Her guidance is clear, thoughtful, and personalized, ensuring that each participant feels comfortable and confident in their poses, regardless of experience level. What truly stands out to me is how deeply Alex cares about her students’ well-being. She brings a sense of warmth and mindfulness to every class, and it’s clear that she wants everyone to leave feeling better than when they arrived. Alex has a rare ability to connect with her students in a way that makes the practice more meaningful. I left the class feeling refreshed, centered, and deeply grateful for the experience. If you have the chance to take a class with Alex, I highly recommend it—you won’t regret it!

Slow Burn with Ali 11:30 AM
Consumer warning: I had a less-than-ideal experience with this studio. I have booked three sessions but have only been able to practice once. l got to practice on my second attempt, and it was enjoyable. The studio was clean, and the instructor was kind and friendly. However, during my first and last attempt to practice there, l was at work later than expected and, as a result, ran 8 minutes late for the session. When I arrived, I
realized this was one of those studios with a strict door policy. I felt that I would be too late, so l didn't make a fuss, ultimately owning my responsibility for running late for my first session. I booked another appointment because many of my friends had recommended the studio, and I wanted to ask in person about their door policy. I checked and could not find anything about it in the description section. After learning I was correct about this policy, I told myself I would remove them from my favorites list, but I annoyingly forgot. If I had remembered, l would have saved myself the credits plus the cancellation fee and not booked a third time. The studio has a policy of locking the front door and not allowing latecomers access to the facilities. Studios like this don't account for unexpected delays or the human aspect of the experience, especially if you're a person of color. This policy is also not explicitly called out in their description section. I arrived two minutes late for my 11:30 session today and was locked out. So now I'll have to pay a $12 cancellation fee, and they will also keep my credits. I consider that a scam, assuming they get paid for the session regardless of whether l showed up. It would be great if the studio could be more yoga-flexible and sympathetic in such situations, as some of us may not have the privilege of having a schedule that allows us to arrive 15 minutes before the session.

I’ve been going to this studio for a couple months and it’s been wonderful. The atmosphere is perfect and all the teachers I’ve had have been amazing and insightful. They’re all challenging in the best way and push me to anchor in the present with my breath. I love going and I would recommend to anyone who is a beginner or a yogi!

A perfect place!!! AYA’s approach to yoga has an educational feel that helped me to massively improve my practice over the course of a year. They have a wide range of classes that span from beginner to advanced, with the more advanced classes still being accessible spaces to deepen your practice due to the teaching style. Some of my favs are (in no particular order!):
1. Anastasija’s Sunday Katonah class (but really all of her classes). Why? Her teaching style is super informative and the classes leave you feeling like a little noodle (this is a good this). Who for? Anyone trying to get a more advanced understanding of how yoga postures are supposed to feel in the body.
2. Jess’s Monday Yin. Why? The people sleep on Yin imo. This class leave your muscles and mind gooey and relaxed. Who for? Especially good for beginners but a wonderful class for people at all levels.
3. Josh’s Friday Flow. Why? This class is always technically interesting and the flows build nicely to a more complex final posture. Who for? I would say intermediate to advanced!
4. Marla’s Saturday Morning Power. Why? Vibrant class with a gem of a teacher! Wonderful way to start your day. For who? All levels.
5. Liv’s Wednesday Vinyasa and Advanced Asana. Why? Liv is the sort of teacher with whom your practice grows immensely. You’ll get way better at feeling into a posture and getting to a deeper more advanced level or practice. For who? Anyone, because Liv’s teaching style is very educational. Caveat: her flows are intense and will have you working so be ready!

THE absolute best Yoga experience I’ve ever had. My 1st class was this evening at 7:30pm. It was a deep stretch/yoga 75min session and it was amazing! The instructor, energy, atmosphere, music, everything was 5 ⭐️! I’m definitely buying a pack of classes and I highly recommend this studio.
