About the Club

Currently offering gentle yoga, slow flow, Yin, restorative, strength/balance, and yoga/pilates classes. Offering private services including massage, energy healing/reiki and sound healing. Also offer specialty events and workshops including monthly Sound baths, irest Yoga Nidra, Restoratives, Somatic Release, Chair Yoga, and free community events with our The Community Nest gathering group inside of the studio (see website for more info.).

My massage with Yalondra was so good I had to take a nap when I got home. I’ve been so tense that my chiropractor hasn’t been able to get a full adjustment on me for a few weeks. I have no doubt that he’ll be successful now that Yalondra has loosened and moved out some deep tension and knots.

I had my first massage by Yalandra. I left very happy, loose, and feeling rubbery (in a good way). She has a wonderful touch. I could feel her intention of healing. She made sure I was comfortable. Invited me to rest and not worry about falling asleep. I felt safe and cared for. I plan to re-book.

Having had disappointing experiences in other yoga studios, I was absolutely delighted to find this place! The class I attended was welcoming of all levels and abilities, but was still challenging. The instructor was quite excellent and explained all the poses thoroughly, and even went over modifications prior to class. The students were welcoming and friendly, and this seems like a really good place to take yoga. I will 100% be back to take more classes here!

This is the first Yoga studio I have been to. All the instructors are nice and they have a good variation of classes/times. Classes are easy or difficult depending on how much effort you put in. They are very focused on working within your limits and doing what is best for you body. I would highly recommend this studio!

Balancing Owl Yoga has a warm and welcoming environment! The teachers are wonderful! Laurie’s Yin Yoga class has taught me how to quiet my mind while hold poses. She has a gentle voice that helps guide you. Anne DiBlasio’s Sunrise Flow is a great way to start your Monday morning. She provides a invigorating flow that wakes your mind and body. Colleen Melville-Shultz and Carol Schubert offer great gentle classes that offer poses that move in a slow but gentle way. Overall this studio offers many classes to fit all individuals. I would highly recommend coming to the studio to experience all the great classes they offer!
Jarod and Wendy are two of the best massage therapists. They listen to what you need and work with you to give your body rest and relaxation. Katie is an awesome Reiki Practitioner.
If you are looking to enhance your knowledge not just in yoga but other areas. I would recommend the many workshops they offer. I have come away learning so much.

I remember my first class at Balancing Owl, I knew no one there. I didn’t know any of the teachers, or students, but felt this great sense of “welcome” each class I attended. I became a monthly member quite frankly because I loved every class and teacher and wanted to be there practicing every day. Now Balancing Owl is like home, I feel safe and secure every time I enter the door and have met so many new friends through the studio. Yoga has helped my hips, balance and strength so much, I was blessed to find this community.

Balancing Owl Yoga is my Zen place - the studio has the most beautiful, peaceful energy. Excellent teachers - Hatha, Slow Flow, Gentle Yoga, Meditation, Yoga Nidra, Restorative Yoga - love them all. And Family Yoga in the summertime - so much fun. Over the years, I've attended many workshops at this studio and have learned so many ways to improve my Yoga practice as well as my lifestyle. They also have excellent Massage Therapists and a Reiki Practitioner. All in a wonderful space.
This studio gives back to the community, providing ways for their clients to also get involved with clothing drives and donations to food pantries. I love being a member of a studio that cares about me as well as people in the surrounding communities.
This is the perfect place for someone that wants to explore Yoga for the first time or those that have practiced for years. With our fast-paced lives, we can all use a little Zen - you'll find it here.

After going to many a studio in Columbus, I have made Balancing Owl as my home studio. Coming from a yoga background in India, I was seeking authenticity with a non-commercial feel, which I found here. The staff is knowledgeable and caring, and the classes are diverse. The workshops and complimentary services they offer (massage, Reiki) raise this studio to a even higher plane. Highly recommend.

Pepita was wonderful. I always get anxious when going to a new spot because I need the spiritual practice as much as I need the physical, but she delivered. There wasn't any talk about yamas, niyamas and the like but I could tell it was woven throughout her practice and I think that means even more. Absolutely wonderful.

Balancing Owl is so different from other yoga studios. They offer a large variety of traditional yoga classes and special workshops allowing the client to pick and choose what's right for them. Even if you are in a class that is more challenging you are made to feel comfortable. All the teachers I have encountered are great and really tune into the energy of the class participants. This is a really special place.

I absolutely loved prenatal yoga! Julie was an awesome instructor and took the time to get to know everyone's name and remembered from week to week any problem spots we had so we could work on them. The class is for any skill level and really great, especially later in pregnancy. I learned some breathing techniques that I actually used during labor. I looked forward to the class each week as I knew I'd have that time to truly relax and feel grounded. I even felt my baby kick for the first time during a class!
