Beyond the Barre focuses on correct technique and strength and development. This ensures that not only are the dancers beautiful dancers, but are less likely to get injured.
Wether your dancer plans to go on and dance professionally or just wants to have fun, this is the perfect place.
Despite having hundreds of students, Beyond the Barre has that close family feel. The owner knows every dancer by name and recognizes their family on sight. Not just her "serious" students, but even those that are just looking for something to do after school.
Absolutely recommend!!!

We just started bringing our 4 year old daughter here and she is so happy. She is always so excited to go to ballet. We were referred here by a friend who raved about it and she was right. The teachers/owner are so nice and easy going.
We are really excited to see our daughter perform in The Beauty and the Beast this spring.

My oldest daughter has been with Beyond The Barre since age 3 she will soon be 8 yrs. old. It has been such a great experience for her and her younger sister who plans on attending summer camp this year/fall semester.
My oldest has truly discovered something she loves, she has grown so much as a dancer and taking on many classes now to keep her active.
We are happy to be apart of Beyond the Barre, LLC. Our experience has been wonderful. The Director/teachers are great, they’re dedicated and they provide a great atmosphere for the kids to learn and grow as dancers. :)
Thanks for all of your hard work

The first time we took a class with the owner/teacher was 8 years back, when the current open, new, safe studio space was a distant dream. We loved the warm, encouraging focus then and even more so now, especially with Covid restrictions. I have 3 girls dancing at the studio, and all three have improved tremendously, thanks to the small classes and strong focus on individual improvement. Ballet is a demanding art and Ms. Dena and her team do their best to work with each student and family on their goals. Not every child wants to be a principal dancer and that’s okay here - the kids are never competing for the teacher’s attention and never ignored.
In addition to the strong core curriculum, the Studio provides the most imaginative, fun and colorful productions - the Nutcracker in the fall and a new one (Finding Nemo this year) in the Spring. I highly recommend the classes and place this studio among the best in the city.

All three of my children have a condition that causes their ligaments to be too lax. When muscles over-tighten to compensate, risk of explosive injury increases. Now that all three of my kids are enrolled at btb, we have seen measurable improvement at their rheumatology/physical therapy evaluations, because they have built the appropriate muscle strength and flexibility to handle their lax ligaments. This sounds like a ridiculous claim, I know, but it is true - adding more dance classes has been the thing we've done differently during the pandemic, because the director implemented good Covid protocols, and so we know why the kids' metrics have improved.
The director and instructors at btb are knowledgeable and interested in the health and safety of their dancers. Not only that, they create a fun atmosphere and fantastic productions, that have inspired my kids to resume dancing, or become more serious about dancing. I used to be a soccer mom, but we all appear to have drunk the koolaid.

I love Beyond the Barre! Both my children take ballet at BtB; my oldest has been practicing here for years. It has improved her confidence and focus, as well as her love of dance. The teachers and the owner take a child-centered approach while teaching high-quality lessons.
The studio has recently started offering adult classes (Pilates, Yoga, Dance), which is a great option for me to exercise while they are in class.
I highly recommend this studio for the whole family!
