Second visit to Chambers. My partner and I are primarily boulders so this gym nailed it. Great feature wall and good setting. I was especially surprised about how enjoyable the comp setting was which we're up during this visit. They were somewhat compy but didn't heavily focus on paddle dynos but still offered challenging moves.

Wonderful staff and clienteleβ€”so much positivity and encouragement! As clean as a climbing gym can be, and they change up their routes frequently enough to keep it interesting, have projects, and not get bored.

Parking is rough, but go on off hours and you'll be fine.

The grading at this gym is for more of intermediate to veterans. There are some routes that are for Beginners, but they are far in between.

I suggest going to Bloc Garden Location, which is more suited for beginners and those who want to start out!

The parking lot is really small 15 car max, so be prepared to park in the streets or ride share to the bouldering gym.

It's small, but the real prize for this gym is the overhangs, which make this gym ideal for more technical and technique climbs.

At the end of the day, it’s just a gym with climbing walls. The prices make it seem like they’re trying to milk the climbing niche for all it’s worth. A reasonable price would be $30-$50 per month for full access, no initiation fees, and family pricing that doesn’t feel like highway robbery.

If they want to charge this much, they better have Michelangelo setting routes and a spa in the locker roomβ€”but they don’t.

Solid medium sized gym that isn't too crowded. Boulders are varied, with 1 of 4(?) sections replaced every Thursday. There's a tension board as well. Friendly staff, easy scan in, clean bathrooms.

Mainly an outdoor climber from California, but obviously wanted to climb while in Columbus. I was impressed with the setting and community here. Shout out to Sam who works there, he gave my girlfriend along with me an orientation where she learned a lot(guess I’m a bad teacher πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ). He is an awesome guy and deserves a raise. So, I had to shout him out. He made us feel very welcome and accepted, he was the best. Definitely gonna climb with that guy when I’m back. Check it out, it’s a great gym and great vibe πŸ‘ŒπŸ€˜

Chambers is overall a nice place with solid routesetting and a great training area especially considering available space, but every time I go there the holds look and feel like they haven’t been washed for quite a while. Solid for those with a 5.life membership but inferior to their other gyms.

This place is great for Bouldering. The workers are friendly and the community is great!
Chambers has a small parking lot in front of the entrance. When it becomes busy, the parking lot gets full. There is parallel parking and there are nearby places that you can park. If you need additional information on this climbing gym, I recommend looking at their instagram page or the 5.life website.

Great time! Only slight caution if you are a beginner of peak hours (around 5-7) but even then, it really isn't that bad and you will have plenty of fun. Everyone is very supportive of newcomers and will really try to help. I've never once felt judged for not being able to complete a climb, only encouraged to keep trying.

Bouldering in general can be a bit intimidating to start, but the employees all seem to enjoy their work and would no doubt love to explain how things work to anyone with questions. If you are a beginner especially, try to avoid peak hours so you have time to ask them and get a demonstration on the walls. They would be happy to do so!

Overall, staff, the other climbers, and the environment in general is very friendly and supportive. It's great fun, give it a shot!

Amazing climbing gym. As a beginner, Chambers has a good amount of routes that has helped me gain tons of experience. Padding is nice and does not make me fear my life when jumping off the top. The environment is really nice as well with people helping others to complete routes and cheer each other on.

This is one of the smaller climbing locations in Columbus so it could get alittle crowded especially during peak time but even then it's not that bad.

My only downside is that, especially when it is busy, there isn't many places that you could stretch before climbing. Outside of that this place provides everything necessary for you to have a good climbing experience :)

I recently visited Chambers Purely Bouldering in Grandview Columbus and had a great experience overall. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the climbing routes were challenging and well-designed.

However, there was one issue that detracted from my experience a bit. I noticed that a lot of people were going in and out of the restroom with their climbing shoes on and then returning to the walls to climb. As a climber myself, I understand that it's not always convenient to take them off and put them back on again. However,I think it's important to maintain a clean and hygienic environment in the gym, especially in high-traffic areas like the restroom.

Despite this issue, and because it's a simple fix, I would still highly recommend Chambers Purely Bouldering to anyone looking for a great bouldering experience in Columbus. Just be aware of the shoe situation in the restroom and take precautions to keep yourself and others healthy. Overall, four stars! Five stars, possibly in the future.

Fun bouldering gym. The first I've been to in the area and we really enjoyed our time there. With shoe rentals it was under $30 for an adult and child to climb. I don't recall the exact costs.

My biggest issue with the gym is the parking situation. There were only a handful of spots in their lot and all the surrounding parking lots we're private. There was a sign on the door showing what parking lots allowed parking for gym use, but I feel the signage could be made more clear.

Traveling from the east coast to Denver I stopped in Columbus to visit some friends for a couple of nights. We climbed here on the second night. Rarely have I seen team kids who were so willing to engage and interact with the rest of the community.

Great boulders with lots of variety. A bit more inconsistent grading here than at Bloc Garten, but still quality in all other aspects.

Especially kind and welcoming front desk staff. Really great and encouraging local community members too!

I visit from Michigan every month or so and this place it awesome to go boulder. Always a large range of boulders you can climb from any skill level. It can get pretty busy but I never felt over crowded.
The mats are very soft and comfortable to land and lay on. Place is very clean all the time and there is normally only 1 staff on site but they are all nice and friendly.

I love going to Chambers! It's important to know that Chambers is only boulders, no big wall climbing. If you want that, check out Vertical Adventures (also owned by 5.life). The gym isn't huge, but there are tons of fun options for all levels of climbers. It is well-maintained, and the routes are changed just consistently enough. You can definitely project boulder problems while finding new ones to mess around on.

Great gym. The space isn't enormous, but is used very efficiently. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

This gym is also a great option for kids who are reasonably dedicated climbers. The layout makes it easy to keep eyes on, and there are problems tagged as youth sets with closer hold spacing for shorter arms to reach.

The setting was solid with a good mix of styles. They don't really set comp-style problems here, which is totally fine by me, but worth keeping in mind if that's what you like. As someone who loves sketchy slabs and corners, I felt quite at home.

Easy recommend.

This is the best (only) climbing gym in the immediate area, but it’s overrated in my opinionβ€” make the drive to vertical adventures instead if you can. It’s small, crowded, and the grading is super off. I know that’s subjective, but my friend who comes often agrees. Definitely shouldn’t charge $23 for a one time visit, especially at a small gym without cardio equipment. People were nice though!

My first time here was Sunday. I was nervous to try something new like this because it would be my first time. I was meeting up with some people who do this frequently & as soon as I walked in, I was amazed at the space. The woman at the front desk was very friendly and explained everything. I thought the cost for a day pass was a bit pricey but after staying over two hours here, worth it. I loved the learning experience and while I am not great at it, I found something I can do on my weekends off and get better at perhaps. I went in thinking I was a pretty strong individual due to the fact I am a powerlifter but let me tell you, this utilizes so much more than strength alone and so many methods in climbing that can help make it easier or harder. I am grateful the experience overall and will definitely be back :)

This is a solid bouldering gym, granted it was my second experience bouldering ever. Either way, the staff here was very kind and informative. The walls were definitely more challenging given the relative difficulties to my previous experience.

Highly recommend and I'll definitely be visiting again. You can also purchase a 10 visit pass and use between you and anyone else you think you may want.

Fun experience was powdered soap in the bathrooms, so be ready to actually scrub your hands to get off the soapy grit. Not a fan of the supplied liquid chalk, so if you have your own, I highly recommend bringing it here.

Has a Moon Wall, campus board, and small corner area with hangboards, bands, pull up bars, and jump ropes. People there are often helpful and fun. Everybody's working problems cheering others on and swapping tips. Great place to go in and focus on your own stuff or engage in social climbing. Highly recommended.

I have gone to Vertical Adventures a number of times but have recently become a member. All of their gyms are clean. Everyone who works there is knowledgeable and helpful. The patrons are also very helpful.

If you want boulders, only boulders and a bunch of them then this is the place to climb.

Right from the start chambers was nice, real nice. Wide open lobby, clean, and not cluttered. Check in was smooth, yet surprisingly only one worker was present. I suggest doing waivers online to speed up the check in process. Interesting that there was no safety video or any rules yet made for a quicker check in. Price typical for most climbing facilities.

Chambers does a good job maximizing space. Minimalist design with shelving units for bags and shoes allows for more open space. The bathrooms were super clean and had a nice touch with chalk soap. The retail area was present yet not stuffed or taking over climbing space. The climbing area had a good amount of padding from the wall to the floor and a good amount of seats to rest.

The routes were well designed and had clear starting and ending. From simple to advanced there were a great assortment of climbing variations. The holds were in great condition and not slick. The pads were in great condition and never did we feel uncomfortable with the falls. Overall the design of Chambers allows many people to be climbing at once due to the high number of climbs.

One surprising note is there was only one employee for the entire facility. There were probably 75-100 people for one employee. Most facilities have other staff walk around making sure rules are enforced. I mention this as there were quite a few places like the cave where I often saw others under climbers partially due to the cave design.

Overall Chambers is a must stop boulder visit, well if you like boulders!
