I’ve been coming to the Broadview Hts location since before Covid and have done over 1200 classes. I love club pilates and the variety of workouts and teachers available. Each instructor has their own style and the variety of workouts ensures I get weight exercises in along with flow and also TRX options!

I am leaving Cyndi at Broadview Hights Ohio CP a five star review. She is always so excited and supportive to instruct at any of the CP studios that she teaches at. Her classes are fun and meet you right where you are at. The perfect amount of instruction without being too confusing. Thank you Cyndi.

First time doing a 1.5 reformer class with Ellen. She was very patient with me and informative regarding adjustments to the routine to suit me. I have had both hips replaced and a recovering from a torn hip flexor. Look forward to doing more classes with Ellen.

I have been a member for 9 months and my home studio is Broadview Heights. I love Pilates and tell everyone who will listen they should try it. For people commenting on price, if you're reading and have concerns, I have found the Club Pilates pricing to be more affordable than private Pilates studios. I've done both and decided that because I LOVE Pilates the unlimited classes are best for me. I try to go 4-5 times a week and the cost break down was cheaper than a private studio I tried. As far as the instructors go, it's like anything in life, you'll click with some and not others. Personally, I don't have an issue with any of the instructors I have classes with. I don't stick to one particular instructor because I'm in for the 4-5 days a week, so I take whichever instructor is teaching when I'm available. Also, all front desk staff are kind and will help you with any questions. If they don't know they'll get someone to contact you as soon as possible. Overall, I enjoy my membership and would encourage you to try it if you're interested!

Invest in some light weights and try an at home Pilates program like Align. You'll save hundreds of dollars each month and see much better results.

For those who would prefer the in-studio classes to a self-paced app workout, I wouldn't necessarily recommend Club Pilates in Broadview Hts. I'm actually shocked I even made it to another class after my first one as the instructor was so mean. She singled me out and seemingly tried to embarrass me all class. It was a very uncomfortable 50 minutes. I just avoided taking any classes instructed by her after that. There were a couple of really good instructors (Megan and Heidi were great!), but overall, the feel there is pretentious and uninviting.

Additional cons:
Expensive - approx 230.00/mo for unlimited classes
Classes book up very quickly and there's a good chance you'll end up on a waitlist so can't plan your days accordingly
The rules for cancelling/downgrading a membership ensure that you're stuck with them for a little

Cons:
1. Requires a membership with a 3 month minimum - 4 classes/month = $150. 8 classes/month = $185. Unlimited (15 classes at a time) = $200+.
2. Must schedule classes well in advance. Does not matter if there is an opening 45 minutes before a scheduled class - the app does not allow one to book a class within the hour.
3. Must cancel booked class with at least 12 hours notice without receiving a $$ penalty charge.
4. Must provide at least a 30-days notice to cancel membership.
5. Classes are not offered after 12:00pm on Sundays and not offered after 1:00pm on Saturdays.
6. Fridays 2:00pm-7:00pm classes disappeared for the month of January (one of the 2 days a week I could attend after my 8-4 work days).

Pros:
1. Smartphone app is user friendly.
2. Instructors are punctual.
3. Studio is clean and inviting.

Overall, I really enjoy being a member at Club Pilates. I appreciate the number of classes offered each day, along with a variety of class options. I really enjoy that every workout is unique… I’ve never attended a class that had the same workout. However, aa other reviewers have mentioned, the instructor really influences the overall experience of a class. There are certain instructors that I truly enjoy, as they create both a safe and respectful climate for the workout experience. However, there are instructors that are rude and belittle people during whole group instruction with snarky comments, which I find disheartening and uncomfortable. I have found the instructors that I feel most comfortable with and typically only sign up for those classes.

I really enjoyed Pilates at first. However over time I didn't feel the classes were quite what I was wanting. Most of the instructors were good except I found one of the instructors to be not very kind and miserable during class. Also price is comparable to other studios but still quite pricey.

I love all the trainers at this studio except one. She is rude and has no idea how to cue people without huffing and rolling her eyes in exasperation. She shouldn't be an instructor if she cannot lead with kindness. The reason she is so frustrated and spends majority of her classes correcting everyone is because her instructions are horrible and unrelatable. I have an unlimited membership and I will adjusting all future classes to avoid her at all cost. If I had had her before upgrading I probably wouldn't have gone to unlimited or just changed studios. Thank God my schedule is flexible enough to adjust to just avoid her but I guarantee she is losing you business.
Everyone else is great though. I love my classes with April, Taylor, Kelli and Cyndi. Everyone has their own techniques and ways of explaining things but all manage to do it respectfully. Those girls are great so if anyone is reading this, choose their classes.

I’ve been with this studio for over a year and absolutely LOVE this team and the other members that attend this studio. You’ll immediately feel comfortable in this environment because you get to work on your own practice and do what’s best for your body - the trainers can either push you, if that’s what you need, or give you a modification. The classes are as diverse as the amazing trainers and there is something for everyone. They’ve done such a great job of providing alot of different classes and keep changing it up so you don’t get bored. Pilates is for any age, male or female. If you have never tried it, take the free intro class - it’s so much fun!!
UPDATE:
I’ve been with this studio since it opened in 2018 and experienced transitions with owners, management and instructors. I have also visited studios in other states and I can honestly say that, currently, this studio has some of the best instructors. They all bring something different which is a nice change-up if you attend multiple times a week. No two classes are ever the same and you are guided thru each exercise with verbal cues. Pilates is a practice and 6 years later, I still learn new things and am challenged with things I have not mastered (yet). I have struggled with shoulder mobility and over time pilates has resolved it and I have regained full range. (note: this is not a replacement for physical therapy) Management is very customer-focused and the owners have multiple studios in the surrounding areas which allows us to take classes at those studios as well. I would highly recommend this studio.

I have taken Pilates for 9 months at the Fairview Westlake and Fairlawn studios with a variety of wonderful, kind and helpful instructors. I love how Pilates has changed my perspective on working out and helped me feel better both physically and mentally. I have never had a bad experience with an instructor. Even when they are correcting you, they do it patiently and kindly. I was very excited this morning to take my 171st class at Broadview Heights studio to try a new place and new instructor. So imagine my surprise when I arrived and had to deal with the monster that is Ellen. She was disrespectful, impatient and downright mean.

There are many reasons for this:
1. She told me AFTER the exercise was over that I did it wrong and should not do it that way. She didn’t try to give a modification when it would have been helpful.
3. She rolled her eyes when I followed her (sometimes incorrect) instructions and physically corrected me by moving my arms and legs without permission. She touched me more in one class than all the other instructors I have taken combined.
4. Towards the end of class I decided to just wait a beat until the rest of the class started setting up, hopeful she would move on to harass someone else. Alas, I was mistaken. She proceeded to start grabbing all my equipment and moving it around for me. She did not do this in a helpful way. It was very much in an annoyed move faster way.
5. She put her foot on my reformer while I was ON it several times for sustained periods of time. No other instructor has ever invaded my space like this.
6. Finally, by far the worst thing she did was at the very end of class. We were doing planks on the reformer. I was waiting to make sure I was going to set up correctly so I wouldn’t be touched or snidely commented at again. She came to my reformer and said “ugh, you have never done this before have you” while rolling her eyes. Okay so my pride aside, this is UNACCEPTABLE. What if I HAD been new? What if this was my first 1.5? What if this (god forbid) was my first experience with Pilates?

I left this class with my head held high, but I can only imagine if I wasn’t confident in myself. I don’t think I would ever go back. It would break my heart if people didn’t get into Pilates because this lady is running around insulting people unchecked. No one should be made to feel lesser than for trying something new. These instructors are there to help, not bring people down.

After my class I spoke with one of the other students and asked is she always that mean? She said with a straight face in a hushed whisper, “she has no soul.” She explained Ellen is covering for someone else today she usually avoids her at all costs. Obviously, I think this may be a problem the studio has dealt with before.

I told the manager everything after class. She pretty much told me to just come back and take a different instructor. Not super helpful but I get the feeling it was not Ellen’s first complaint.

My experience definitely doesn’t jive with Ellen’s club Pilates profile which states: “the most rewarding part of her job is knowing how better her clients feel mentally and physically from Pilates.” She is running around like a tyrant barking orders and insulting people at every turn. I think Ellen may be missing the mark on improving her clients’ mental wellness.

Needless to say I will not be returning to the Broadview Heights Club Pilates studio on the off chance Ellen is covering for someone. I refuse to put myself through that again. I enjoy Pilates far too much to deal with her negativity. Club Pilates is expensive, but worth it. This is not a condemnation on Club Pilates itself. But I question the management at Broadview Heights for continuing to support instructors like Ellen. God speed to all of you Broadview Heights ladies. I hope, like the lovely woman I spoke with today, you successfully avoid Ellen at all costs

I don't usually write bad reviews, but my experience with Club Pilates in Broadview Heights was disappointing. I received an unsolicited email offering a free trial class. After struggling to get in touch for two days, I finally booked a short 20-30 minute session, which wasn’t really enough of an experience. Though I intended to sign up for the advertised 8-class pack at a discounted rate, but found out afterwards it required a minimum 3-month commitment—something not mentioned in any of the emails. This false advertising was frustrating. After deciding to pass, I continued receiving messages from them. I slept on it… when I reconsidered and tried contacting them again, I got no response. Beware of their poor communication and misleading offers.

April has been a godsend for me in Club Pilates! I am so appreciative of her direct guidance and corrections that I would be lost without. I used to go to OrangeTheory where I had injured myself doing movements in incorrect form whilst the coaches there not correcting/caring enough to say something about it. It is actually really hard to find an instructor that WANTS to make sure you are doing every single position in proper form and then have the courage to come to you directly and say something about it! April has helped me TREMENDOUSLY in my healing progression, and on top of that I feel so safe working out in her classes because of her immediate, direct corrections! She makes sure to check in with me for any modifications that I need for my injury and never leaves anyone in the room hanging! Why go to these classes if you aren’t open to educating yourself on proper form? We can all use more knowledge on the art! I am so grateful for you April please don’t ever change!

I had a horrible experience with Club Pilates. After a level 1.5 class I was getting ready to leave when the instructors came to me to give me feedback and what she said was downright racist. She told me that I was "lost" and may not be understanding the queues due to a "language barrier". Additionally, no where is it disclosed that I need to know to know all the queues to do a 1.5 class? I felt judged and discriminated against at this club. Never going back there again.

I sent an inquiry through the website on Sunday. I got a voicemail and text the next day from Grace, the GM, with the typical response listing days/times of their free intro classes, to which I responded the same day to the text with questions regarding personal training. No response. Tuesday, I texted a “?” Which prompted a response from her with pricing for the personal training. I immediately followed up with a couple more questions about scheduling, but no response Tuesday or Wednesday, sent another “?” Wednesday night. Got a response Thursday evening “I apologize for the delay..these are 60 minute sessions.” I texted back, “ what about my other questions,” no response. I’m done trying to give them my business.

Over all a very clean studio, even during mandatory masks I never felt uncomfortable.

The schedule is not created for the average working person and did not change weekly or monthly for a variety. Majority of the classes i was interested in taking were scheduled during the working hours and if they were offered on the nights or weekends they filled up fast; even with a waitlist there was a slim chance of getting into the class.

6am with Cindy was my main time frame and even though 6am start times suck she made it worth it. Things did start to go downhill once GM Jackie left and instructor Julie left.

Ended my membership due to the price and the increase difficulties of being able to book a spot in the class. 30 day cancelation notice is a bit excessive; two weeks is more than sufficient. The cancelation window for class bookings needs to be longer as well.

I was so excited about taking these classes. But I can never get in a class the days I can take them. I feel like I just threw my money away. They said it wouldn’t be a problem getting in a class but that doesn’t seem to be true for first shift working people. I wish they just had set days for classes (ie. TH or MW) . Im not advanced so can’t take advanced classes. Just very disappointed.

The studio is a marketing gimmick. They have their best teachers show teach their free intro lessons to draw the students in but then afterwards those teaches either come very rarely or are booked a month in advance. That’s how I was drawn in as well. Extremely difficult to book classes as they are always full. Might be ok for those who are retired or just stay at home all the time. The clientele is older and most of the classes are not challenging at all so definitely not for young people. App has glitches where it takes 2 tries sometimes to book or cancel and will appear as if you canceled but didn’t. Very punishing late cancellation and no show fees. Their non slip socks are also a huge rip off as no prices are labeled. When you bring the socks to the counter they don’t even tell you the price. They just ring it up as they take off the packaging for you and then you realize it’s $20!

Pilates seem relaxing. This club however, is not. It's extremely difficult to get an appointment. Unlimited people selfishly book all of the good classes, and you have to enter a wait list if you don't have Unlimited ($160 for 8 classes a month). I have a life. I can't sit on a wait list and wonder if I have an exercise class that day or not. I also showed up to 2 classes I KNOW I had booked, and due to some glitch they claim I wasn't signed up. I am very computer literate, this was not my doing. Bonus, if you're unhappy and want to cancel, they charge you for a whole extra month. Obviously I don't want to show up to classes and be embarrassed and get asked to leave, so I have to pay $160 to cancel. I have not noticed any difference in my body since starting. The ONLY instructor I recommend is Julie. She is fun and engaging. I was sore after her classes. I might try a different pilates place.
