Canceled my membership that I’ve had since May for November. The studio instructors are very good at what they do but the front desk never speaks and looks at you as if you’re not welcomed. That’s the main reason I cancelled after enduring the weird faces from certain staff. I called today to see if I could extend 2 credits that I had left due to me being hospitalized. Megan called me back and told me no I couldn’t extend them since I cancelled my membership. Lol a joke! So glad I canceled my membership and going to where I am welcomed!

I was looking for an exercise program that would strengthen my core, but not put downward pressure on my pelvic floor due to prolapsed bladder surgery. I signed up immediately after a free introductory class where I was assured that Club Pilates was exactly what I was looking for due to my limitation. The first class I took was 20% crunches, which I can’t do. I called immediately to cancel my membership. They said that was an anomaly and they never do crunches in class and I should take another class and tell the instructor and they would give me modifications. The next class was just as bad, so I called again to cancel my membership at which point I was told that I had signed a three month membership agreement and there was no way out of it. Now I am out $600 for classes I can’t do a large portion of.

Club Pilates is basically my second home—and my daily therapy session (no couch required).
Shoutout to Haley, Marissa, Samantha, Arielle, Danielle, Becky, Marsha, Lindsay, and anyone else I may be forgetting—you’ve all been amazing. I really appreciate the focus on safety, especially when it comes to protecting the low back (mine has opinions).
I’ve never been someone who enjoys working out, but this place changed that. The classes are fun, the energy is low-pressure, and I actually look forward to going—even early in the morning. I’m feeling stronger, my posture’s improved, and I’m not dealing with as much neck, back, or hip pain from sitting all day.
Also, getting to shop for cute grip socks on the regular? Not mad about it.
And of course, shoutout to Vanessa at the front desk—always friendly, always on it, and always there early with good vibes.
It’s been such a positive addition to my routine—I can’t recommend it enough.
Huge thanks to the entire staff for making every visit enjoyable and helping me stay motivated!

I would like to start with writing that I love pilates and I enjoyed the majority of my classes at Club Pilates Kenwood. My 1-star rating is reflective of a conversation that I had with Megan on 12/9/24. I provided my 30-day notice to terminate my membership in November, and per Club Pilates rules, all class credit has to be redeemed by the 11th of each month, or it is forfeited. Earlier on 12/9/24, I received erroneous steroid injections into my neck, which not only made me stiff, but also severely limited my range of motion, thus making my attendance at my 12/11/24 class impossible. I called Club Pilates during the evening on 12/9 to explain my situation, and to ask whether there was any way that they could hold/freeze my membership so that I am not losing money for missing my very last class at the studio. She advised that because the 30-day notice was submitted, there was nothing that they could do, although my missing the class was for a medical reason. Her response adds further reason for my cancelling my membership -- Club Pilates is too expensive ($112 monthly for 4 classes) to be this inflexible. Life happens, we get injured, we move, we become ill, etc., and due to the price point that we pay, there should be more flexibility. Me having a membership at the Kenwood studio should also allow me to take courses, at no additional fee, at the Hyde Park or the West Chester studios. If Planet Fitness can charge $24.99/mo. to permit members to workout across the country, then Club Pilates can permit members to at least workout at different studios within the tristate area. I will never forget that my medically induced incapacity was not reason enough for my membership to be temporarily frozen so that I could take my ONE remaining class. CP, do better!

I’ve been a member at Club Pilates in Kenwood since the time they opened, rejoining about four months ago after initially being with them for about eight months. I’ve enjoyed many aspects of the studio, especially the instructors who provide solid guidance, which is crucial for me since I have serious back issues and need proper form correction. While the instructors have changed over time, I still find the current team great, with only one remaining from when they opened. Unfortunately, it seems that some of the issues stem from a lack of attention from ownership.
When I first joined, the studio was brand new and had thoughtful amenities like filtered water, hair ties, and tampons in the bathroom, which were much appreciated. However, since rejoining, it’s clear that maintenance has become a problem. The water filter has been due for replacement since mid-August, with a warning alarm that’s been going off for weeks. After reaching out to the ownership, I received a dismissive response, despite it now being well past the time to replace it. The lack of action is concerning, especially considering the health risks of ignoring basic maintenance like this.
Other small amenities, like hair ties and tampons, are no longer replaced, and the air conditioning has been an ongoing issue since they opened. While I understand that things happen, it’s frustrating to see little progress, especially when we’re paying a premium membership rate. Fellow members have voiced similar concerns, and many share my frustration.
I hesitated to leave this review for over a year in hopes that things would improve, but it’s become clear that these issues won’t be addressed unless ownership takes them seriously. I’m not writing this to bash the studio but to shed light on concerns that affect the experience for loyal members who are paying a lot to be here. If the ownership were as attentive to these issues as the instructors are to running the classes, I believe they could easily be resolved.
I hope this review encourages the ownership to address these ongoing concerns and communicate better with their members. We all just want a comfortable, well-maintained space to focus on our health and fitness, which is why we chose Club Pilates in the first place.

I will never recommend you if you want to take private lessons with this club. Managers are less responsibility, and they will keep you on the waiting list for more than 3 months. And they may send you a morning class at 7 am but when you are there, no one shows up. I would give the 0 rating if there is a selection of that.

I’ve been a member for almost a year. I go to Kenwood mostly, but sometimes Symmes too. This is a very good efficient work out. They always start/end on time. Parking is easy. Good energy. Pilates has made me much stronger and I feel great. All instructors are great, I especially like Steohanie, Danielle and Katie. Very welcoming and inclusive place!

I had never taken a group Pilates class or any group exercise class. To say I probably tried their patience would be an understatement. Three years later and over 400 classes have changed my mind and body. The instructors are phenomenal and the friendly banter with everyone is great. Highly recommend.

I absolutely love this studio and have found my new religion! Pilates has been life-changing for me, from the inside out. The instructors are amazing and are encouraging and empowering while still challenging you with suggestions or cuing modifications. I’m not sure why there are comments about the admin staff because I’ve found Maddie, Jackie, and Sam to be nothing but pleasant, helpful, and accommodating. As far as waitlist, yes the classes are popular so they fill up but it’s worth adding yourself because there has not been one time that I’ve been closed out of a class that I’m waitlisted for because inevitably life happens and there are no shows and you will fill an open slot. The app is really user-friendly but if I’ve ever needed to do any retroactive adjustments, as in contacting them regarding fees, I talk to them after my next class. I take at least one class every day and have met so many amazing, inspiring, and supportive women (including members, instructors, and admins) that have become a whole Pilates family to me that is fulfilling in so many ways. If you are open to challenging yourself daily, positively supporting and encouraging others and yourself, and strive to finally find that workout/religion that will deliver rapid and noticeable results AND the one that you will finally stick to, Club Pilates Kenwood is the place for you! I promise you, it will change your life - like Stephanie says “it’s an inside job” that will manifest on the outside as well. When it comes to reading or leaving negative reviews here or other places, well that’s an inside job as well - choose to be happy and choose kindness - and good things will come to you in return. Come try it out - be in your Club Pilates era!

Great studio. The one thing I don’t like is that when I call they never answer the phone. I got told if I couldn’t make it to a class and it’s past the late fee to just call. I called about 10 times because I don’t want to be charged and they don’t answer.

Great Pilates studio with new equipment, nice instructors and a wide range of classes. Building is under construction across from Kenwood Mall, so parking varies from day to day.
