Gotta get the right teacher. Mrs. Jackie is a superstar. Got signed up for a make up class with someone named Macey and whole different story. Unengaged, uninspiring teacher. If my daughter had to have a class with her again we wouldn’t be back.

Our daughter has been attending Columbus Gymnastics Academy for the past three years, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. She's had the opportunity to learn and grow under several instructors, but has spent most of her time with Sydney, who is absolutely fantasticβ€”knowledgeable, encouraging, and great with kids. We've also had positive interactions with other coaches, all of whom have contributed to her progress and confidence.

The front desk staff, especially Sarah and Tawana, are a delight to interact with. They’re always friendly, helpful, and approachable, making the administrative side of things easy and stress-free.

We also hosted a birthday party at the gym and it was a huge success. The staff made it seamless, and the kids had an amazing timeβ€”it’s such a fun and active environment for celebrations. (Pictured Below)

I’d also highly recommend the back handspring clinics with Sydney. They are very well-structured and have helped our daughter significantly improve her skills.

Overall, Columbus Gymnastics Academy has been a wonderful place for our daughter to learn, grow, and have fun. Highly recommend!

Very unprofessional, one minute my daughter was accepted next minute they had to many kids and I was told that on her 1st day they had to redirect her more than 3x so now they cannot accept her. I was there durning practice and a left came back b4 practice was over and no one said anything never met the coach. But I get a call from the owner after my daughter had been dropped off saying he left me a message. I’m highly disappointed in this management of CGA.

I will share my experience with this place, so called " academy ".
6 years my daughter was in this school, from age 4 until yesterday, got in to juniors star level, and was ready to move into pre team level, and here what is happened, we took private lessons with her coach prior try out, everything seemed well, coach stated that she is ready and should not have any issues to pass this test. Guess what? They did not choose her, because she failed the test. What...? How? Everyone from her current team passed but her, they recommended to stay at the same class another year. We saw try out, and be honest this can be compared with a circus show, they rushed kids because they were ready for birthday party same day, it was awful, they put 4 students on the same bar, bar that they even couldn't reach. Students who couldn't do a split got accepted into pre team. Final verdict about this school is this is not sports or gymnastics oriented place but a money maker. Such a shame that we spent so much of time and trust, and all went up side down. Parents just be aware of this situation, because your kid Could be the next, and it's really hurts kid's feelings, when we as a parents cannot explain them this kind of unjustified decisions by some of adults who take a position to be as a coach.

Wanted to share a review for those who wanted a perspective from someone with limited interaction with the gym.

Scoping out a new gym home for my daughter and decided to take a drive to find out where this place was located.

I was surprised to see they were open since Google business hours showed them as closed. There was someone at the front desk who greeted us kindly and happily gave us a tour and information about the gym. Thank you!

I was impressed with a few things right off...

*The diversity of staff and students
*Clean and organized facility
*Knowledgeable staff at front desk and willingness to help.
*Current banners in the front lobby. I thought this was great placement!

I left a note as advised by the person who helped me, but I still haven't heard back from anyone. (It's only been a day) Unfortunately, this is more common than I appreciate, (I've run into this at other gyms), but I get it. The person you really need to talk to is busy. Hoping to get a call after this review since they seem to be very diligent about responding to the reviews... Also to be noted. The replies are professional and not rude.

Kids at the gym seemed happy as well as friendly. Instructors seemed pleasant. Parent dropping off seemed satisfied.

I'm so excited to learn more about this place! 🀞🏾

This will be our third session with this gym. Our daughter is new to the sport with no prior experience and they have been nothing short of amazing. Ariel has been her primary instructor and you can tell she truly loves her job and has a passion for teaching the skills and sport to others. The children are encouraged and coached with compassion; eliminating the fear of starting a new sport. The instructors continuously display proper techniques and safety in classes and relay the importance of both at every session. Children are personally worked with given the smaller class sizes and properly evaluated to assess readiness in advancing. The management is accommodating and you can tell the faculty truly cares about our children, their safety, success, and most importantly making this an enjoyable/rewarding experience. After exploring many gyms, we also think the classes are priced extremely reasonably for the quality of instruction, facility and equipment compared to other gyms in the area. Overall, we couldn't be happier with CGA!

Not a fan of sharing my daughter's medical records to get a refund.
Was really looking forward to her coming here when her condition clears up. I heard they are absolutely amazing, but felt like I had to defend my daughters condition to get a refund by providing sensitive medical information. I was not comfortable with that at all. 😞

My 5yo has been coming to CGA for over 2 years now. I am always appreciative of the schedules and cost of their sessions, and the staff and coaches are fantastic! They are so flexible with makeup days. Kendhyl is wonderful and so patient with the little guys. Great place for young gymnasts.

Nice place to go to my daughter loves it. I just don't like in the winter time they have the kids stand in the front hall by the front doors where the doors are constantly been open cold air gushing in floors wet from the snow and kids are required to stand on wet floors no socks, in that cold hall right in front of the main doors. The kids always complaining how cold they are.

After this current session my daughter will not be returning to this establishment! Back in April or May 2019 I requested a refund and I was told I had to fax over MY medical records in order to receive it. I was naive to re-enroll again; however, she was scheduled for a make up class that I requested on 11/20 but the woman at the front desk rudely told me it was for 11/16. I then told her there was no way it could have been scheduled the week prior when I called in on Wednesday (11/20). Before I could finish what I was trying to say, she cuts me off mid sentence and says β€œyou don’t even have to do all of that she can do it today”. The front desk is the epitome of rude and whoever requested my medical information over $56 should be ashamed!

My son attends the 6-8 year old ninja class and he LOVES it! It's fun and it keeps him active while learning new moves. The Male instructor (not sure his name sorry) is also awesome with the kids. Even during covid he does not let that hold him back from making sure they are having a blast.
Due to covid, they clean everything before and after the kids touch anything.

We’ve been with Columbus Gymnastics for the past 2 years. My daughter absolutely loves her class. Ms. Jackie always has engaging sessions and makes sure to be patient and kind when working with the toddlers. The price is fair and they take the time to work with each child. The only negative I have is be careful of what time you sign up for in the summer. The gym gets extremely hot in summer so make sure to dress your child appropriately and have plenty of water on hand!

I signed my child up for the infant/toddler class. The teacher was phenomenal and learned how each child functioned and adjusting her behavior accordingly. She genuinely loved her job. As for my child, they loved the class. There was a routine at the beginning (children love routines) and then they were free to play on various play units. Then the instructor would take each child individually through an obstacle course. We were sad to miss sign ups for the next session but we'll definitely be back soon.

Overall experience was not a positive one. I agree the front desk staff was not very professional and sometimes downright snarky and rude. The front desk is the front line for new potential customers. It is ususlly the first face/personality a customer sees. I have also witnessed staff and parents talking about other parents and their children. The place was lacking in keeping ALL parents informed not just the ones they like or are friends with. Business is business and and a dollar is a dollar so everyone should be treated equitably. The skills of the instructors are very good but that is about all I have to say positive about this place.

CGA has a fantastic program for competitive gymnasts. The coaches are fun, yet tough. They care more about your gymnast than they do about trophies, which is rare and greatly appreciated. They offered good classes for my kids (2 and 4 at the time). It's a fantastic winter activity, However, it doesn't have the best viewing area especially during busy times. There's also no locker room for the boys but a full one for girls even though they offer classes for both.

I imagine it gets incredibly hot in the summer, as during the fall and spring some days were very warm. They keep it warm enough in the winter though.

I'll be signing my kids up again this fall.
