I was able to drop into a class at CrossFit blue ash. The facility is huge so plenty of space. Coach was welcoming and did a great job leading the class and pointing out tips to help with the lift. If I make it back to Cincy I will definitely drop in again

CrossFit Blue Ash is one of the best gyms I’ve been a part of! The coaches are very skilled. They take the time out to teach you the correct form, and they motivate you to be better. Just did my first two workouts here and the camaraderie is truly exceptional. The staff and fellow members made me feel right at home from the beginning which created a fun and motivating atmosphere being the new guy. People at all fitness levels push each other and create a sense of belonging making every workout something to look forward to. Highly recommend!

Come for the workout, stay for the community. After moving up north and leaving my home gym, I was on the hunt for a new Crossfit gym north of the 275 loop. After dropping in a few different gyms in the area, Blue Ash Crossfit won me over with the creative workouts and the amazing sense of community. Blake and Jackye have created a space that feels more like family than friends. It's a great gym for beginners as well as seasoned crossfitters, which is truly rare. The workouts are challenging, but manageable and CrossFit is infinitely scalable. I think this gym takes out a lot of the fear of walking into a Crossfit gym for the first time because people here are SO FRIENDLY and SO willing to help. Blake truly understands the Crossfit methodology and the workouts reflect that- the workouts are smart, challenging, and never boring- if you have ever done endless 2 movement workouts you know what I mean. I am already seeing huge gains in my conditioning and flexibility- cause the coaches strive to hit all the important aspects of working out. Overall I couldn't be happier to call Crossfit Blue Ash my new home.

I dropped into CrossFit Blue Ash with some coworkers while traveling to Cinci for work. The group was fun, incredibly welcoming, and the instructors were very knowledgeable. They paid close attention to form and created a supportive environment. They even took the time to learn my name, which made me feel right at home. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great workout.

If you’re looking for a special place to challenge yourself both physically and mentally, then this is the gym. A great facility with a phenomenal staff! The staff are well-educated, highly motivationally-oriented, and some of the happiest and kindest people I’ve ever met. From my first moment, I felt 100% supported in my new growth endeavor, and not to mention, but the workouts are diverse, challenging, and stimulating. Words can’t accurately express the experience you’ll encounter here, it’s life altering. Had a chance to partake in a competition CFBA hosted and loved the space, atmosphere, and quality of the event they put on. I decided to drop in to check out the gym itself and was similarly blown away by my experience. The owner, Blake, remembered me and was extremely welcoming and accommodating. Additionally, many of the members came up and introduced themselves and made sure I had what I needed. The workout itself was awesome and kicked my butt (in the fun kind of way a good workout does). The owner, coaches, community, facility, and workout are all top-notch. 10/10 experience and would recommend anyone to check CFBA out - I'll be back myself!

I was in town for a while, needed a place to workout, and be motivated. So I decided to give CrossFit a try. The community that Blake, Jackye, and team have built is welcoming and inclusive. Despite being new, I felt instantly welcomed by many of the regulars.
All of the coaches are highly knowledgeable, and each workout is scalable. The class size ensures that every coach is able to monitor each athlete’s performance and provide feedback or form correction.
I had a great time this month and will definitely be dropping in again when I am back in town!

Update: It’s now been 5+ years and still 5 star plus. As a Senior athlete, CFBA has been a key factor in supporting my active lifestyle allowing me to do the things I really enjoy (skiing, paddle boarding, hiking, golf, travel). The community is great and supportive. And it’s really fun, which has made it easy to keep at it.
Been a member for 2 plus years. As a business traveler, I have dropped in to several other CrossFit gyms and CFBA consistently beats others in functional space, cleanliness and the community. Couple all that with great coaching and programming and it can’t be beat.

I found this gym 3 months ago when I was looking for the next step up in my physical growth. I have been pleasantly surprised: talented coaches, great facility, challenging workouts, and a super supportive community. But the hidden gem may be the nutrition coaching available. In 50 years, no one has showed me more about managing my nutrition than CFBA and I’m so pleased with the results. I simply can’t wait to see what’s next!

I started CrossFit at age 57. Now, at 63, I'm in the best shape of my life and I feel great! The facility, the coaches, training and equipment are all tremendous. I started my CrossFit journey at Blue Ash and it was the best decision I could have made. Blake and the coaches do a great job with on-boarding new students to make sure they learn the correct lifting techniques to be successful long term. While doing drop ins at other gyms (I travel a lot for work), I still get compliments on my form that I learned at Blue Ash 6 years ago. I always appreciated how the coaches did a great job of making sure everyone was warmed up and pushed us so we could hit our goals and bust through PR’s.
If you’re a new or experienced Crossfiter, and want to gain strength, have excellent programming, and make new friends this will be a great home for you.

This has been an awesome experience. Although we all may be at different skill levels, the coaches and athletes work together as one. I have been part of the CFBA family for 9 months and have seen my strength and endurance reach levels that I thought I could not achieve. I attended a Saturday morning class to begin with to try things out and enjoyed the team environment. I then attended on-ramp class to learn many of the movements and skills at a pace that worked for me. I started here in 2014 with a 3-month trial and have never left. What began with a search to improve my fitness has become so much more. I found community, I am continually learning, and I am getting stronger every day.
I love what CrossFit teaches: to work on your weaknesses, movements can be scaled to any degree, functional movement is safe, intensity begets results, nutrition is the foundation.
I am 40 years old and am more physically fit than I have ever been in my life. I wish I found this in my 20s.
CrossFit Blue Ash has changed my life in so many ways, and for that I will always be thankful.

I have been CrossFitting for over 11 years and joined CrossFit Blue Ash after moving to Cincinnati several months ago. Over the years I’ve been to many gyms all over the country and I’ve learned the most important thing when choosing a gym is the community. Community is something that isn’t tangible but once you are a part of it you know exactly what it is and feel at home. The community at CrossFit Blue Ash is amazing and welcoming and makes you part of the family regardless of abilities or prior experience. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for a home away from home with the added benefit of improving your fitness at the same time.

I was a client of Blake's from July 2013 to July 2017. I relocated to Columbus in the summer of 2017, but still seek Blake's advice on programming.
When I started with Blake I could not rest in an "Asian" squat, much less back squat to full depth. Overhead squatting wasn't even accessible.
Over the course of three years, only meeting once per week, I was able to build my back squat to 350lb (+100lb) and deadlift 405 (+100lb). Overhead squat 225lb (+135lb) with a snatch of 205lb (+140lb) and C&J of 235lb (+110lb).

This place changed my life. I was not athletic when I started, now I'm there 5 days a week. The staff of coaches is top notch with their ability to coach, push and support you. The community here is the most caring and loving group of people I have ever met. And the programming guarantees change in your cardio, strength and mobility. The results in my body over 1 year are impressive but the real gains you get by joining are not even the reason you come in the door. I was surprised to gain friends, knowledge, stability and a whole new lifestyle.

I've been coming to CrossFit Blue Ash for two years, and the facility, coaching, and community is second to none. I had a lingering knee injury for years and was nervous crossfit would further aggravate it. Once I began I was carefully coached specific to that weakness. Not only has the injury subsided in my time at CFBA, but I am able to move better than I ever have before and am stronger than I ever thought I could be.
Head coach Blake has a clear talent and passion for what he does and as a member of the gym, you absolutely feel that in the atmosphere and reap the benefits as an athlete. CFBA is a place you'll be pushed physically and mentally, where you will learn something new every day, and be surrounded by people who want to work hard and have fun.

With a background in competitive athletics including 4 years of D1 college swimming, I never expected some of the best and most individualized coaching to come from Crossfit in my mid 20's. Blake Evans is one of the most passionate coaches I have ever encountered. His never ending drive to improve both his own knowledge about the sport and his personal agenda to improve each and every athlete is unmatched. I have been working with Blake Evans now since the beginning of February. I considered myself to be in pretty good shape, but I had some issues with certain movements. When I first started I had serious mobility issues with my knees and shoulders. I also had some back problems. I had never done a squat or a deadline because of these issues. These were issues I got from the military. I thought I could never do a squat, let alone a dead lift. Blake took baby steps with me, and showed me how to move, and move without having pain. If there was an issue we stopped and made adjustments right away. I only worked with him for about 1 ½ hours on Sunday afternoon. He gave me plenty of mobility exercises to do, and to perform certain movements to strengthen certain muscles during the week. I did those exercises daily and overtime I got better. I can now do squats without pain and have the best mobility I have ever had. My original goal was to be able to squat 300lbs overall. As time went on, and I got stronger I decided to make a new goal and squat 300lbs by the end of July. I did a one rep max yesterday of 325. This just goes to show that if you put in the work, you will get it back. I could not have done this without Blake’s guidance, training, and instruction. I would recommend him to people that want to be more mobile, people just starting out, or people that feel that they are in great shape. I can now say that I am on my way to truly being in overall great shape. I continue to push forward for my next goal of 350-375 by the end of the summer. Blake knows his stuff and is willing to share his knowledge to make you better. If you are looking to get in shape, or take it to the next level he can help.
