First class is always a bit intimidating regardless, a CrossFit class even more. At CrossFit Steadfast in Ashland you don’t get that feeling at all. I participated in the 8:15 am Sweat class, coach Evan was great explained everything and going through the structure of the workout. All the ladies in the class were so welcoming and very fun to work out with. Awesome group. I recommend 💯

Great people & a nice coach. I came in fully prepared to be yelled at, humiliated, and reduced to a puddle of sweat and shame… but instead, my coach was actually encouraging. He didn’t scream “MOVE, MAGGOT!” or make me feel like a reality TV fitness show reject. Instead, he somehow tricked me into working hard while making me feel like I wasn’t dying inside. 10/10 would recommend if you want to get fit without developing gym-related PTSD.

David was awesome! I have never been a physical fitness person. Zero experience outside of the national club gym. I walked in and was through each part of the workout. He was never far away with pointers on form or a positive comment. He took the time to learn my story and my goals. Everyone else in the gym was so inviting. I have been going to Crossfit Steadfast since September 2024. For years, I thought most gymnastic maneuvers and RX weights were out of my reach; however, with amazing coaching technique and diligence, I have progressed more in the last nine months than I had in the last seven years, even doing CrossFit several times a week on a routine basis. The atmosphere of the gym in large part due to the coaching staff is collegial and supportive. There is no aggressive competitive overarching tension between members. Everybody wants everyone to succeed and be at their top exercise CrossFit potential. Taren, one of the coaches has been present for nearly every one of my breakthroughs and in large part responsible for them, including HSPUs, T2B, kipping pull-ups, rope climbing among a myriad of other things. I am also consistently lifting the RX weight and most importantly I’m not hurting myself in the process. I have previous injuries to my right shoulder, right knee and also a reconstructed wrist which, in the past had often pained me following workouts, especially with certain lifts. I am now lifting heavier than I ever have because my technique has significantly improved through excellent coaching and I have no pain after workouts aside from the expected muscle fatigue and aches that come with hard work. Taren has even videotaped me during certain lifting maneuvers to really go over technique and assure it’s done properly. Every single coach has been amazing and helped me work to continue to fulfill my potential! Definitely >5 starts but that is all it will let me give!

It’s always good to see Sarah in the land of the living! She normally coaches the morning classes, but we day walkers love when Sarah hangs out with us! Sarah always pays attention to the class and makes sure to be checking in on members. CrossFit Steadfast is great for ANYONE wanting to increase their fitness. I love that I still get personalized training from the coaches and that the workouts are always different but at the same time are working all functional areas of my body. All the coaches are well trained and the facilities are top notch! Evan and the crew go out of their way to see you continually improve. Terran is especially great at keeping me motivated and adjusting to my needs. CF Steadfast is a super gym with a wonderful community.

I absolutely love CrossFit Steadfast! The workouts are always challenging and fun, with a great mix of movements and intensity. But what really makes this place special is the vibe—everyone is super friendly and welcoming. As someone who’s not a native English speaker, I sometimes struggle with the language in general, but here I always feel supported and comfortable. The coaches are great at explaining things and making sure you’re doing everything right. It honestly feels like a big, positive community—I’m always happy to show up!

Truly so thankful for the Steadfast Family coming into my life. I started because the coaches and classes were truly amazing! They will personally adjust and support your fitness journey in and outside the classes. You’re not just a number but a person. You not only see but feel the priority that you are to them. But what made this place a home away from home was the people. I work out more than I have in years and a large part of that is because I can’t wait to see everyone!! They make me laugh and smile. They push me to grow and believe I can do more than I thought. And I have felt and seen them support each other in the good and bad times. I have fallen in love with CrossFit because I love having goals and pushing myself to grow. But I have fallen in love with steadfast because of the people!

I can’t say enough good things about Evan Garrison as a personal trainer. After undergoing major hip surgery to repair a torn and detached labrum, I was nervous about getting back into a regular fitness routine. Evan is an incredible coach! He always has just the right cue or comment on form that made me think, act, and fix minor form and technique issues! And having a coach that can communicate that is a game changer!! I improved drastically under his coaching and experience and am super thankful I got the chance!
After becoming a coach myself I was in a burnout cycle and hired Evan for nutrition and programming to help get me out of a slump.
Again! He was SO incredibly helpful, he listened to my areas of concern and struggles and had expert advice and guidance to help me navigate around my road blocks, while challenging me physically and really tapping in to where I was struggling mentally!
