A HUGE shout-out to Coach Teresa for her outstanding coaching at CrossFit Torsion. She has this incredible way of pushing you to get out of your own head and believe in what you’re actually capable of. Over the last few weeks of personal training with her, I’ve accomplished more than I ever thought I could, and tonight was another big milestone, I completed an entire workout jumping on a 24-inch box for the first time ever.

Teresa always gives smart alternatives to help you reach your goals without feeling discouraged, and she knows exactly when to challenge you and when to support you. Her encouragement, patience, and belief in me have made such a huge difference. I’m achieving things I honestly never imagined, and I owe so much of that to her coaching.

Hard and great class tonight! The workout really pushed me, especially with the burpees, which are always a challenge for me. Teresa had effective cues throughout the session - she noticed when my form was slipping and gave clear, simple instructions that helped me keep going without losing momentum.

She also gave me 2 tips to get better on the rower, which tells me she is paying close attention to how I move and how I can improve. It felt good to have that kind of focused guidance during such a tough workout. The energy in the room was intense but encouraging, and Teresa’s attentiveness made the whole experience more manageable and motivating at CrossFit Torsion.

Tried wall walks but form broke down, so switched to DB strict press & felt the burn! Liked that Chad pushed me to a heavier deadlift — tough but manageable. Bike sub kept heart rate up despite skipping the run.

2024- Teresa Coach- Always a gem as a coach. Helps when asked and interjects form and safety pointers as needed! <3

2023-Listen- the 90 day challenge is no joke. I was able to make it to more than 34 classes in that time. Doesn’t sound like much- but when I started, I was barely able to do a proper push-up or pick up dumbbells heavier than 15 pounds and nearly all my joints hurt daily. Today, I pushed 30 pound dumbbells over my head for a PR, I can do proper wall-walks, and not only do I feel stronger in my upper body but I can do 15 easy proper push-ups without losing momentum. The athletes in this gym make you feel comfortable and they will cheer you on in your darkest days. There is no other gym that I would rather attend- as a woman, a mom, and as a military veteran. Thank you to the coaches here for always including me and making me feel comfortable.

I have found a new love at 59 years old! I wanted to try something new that would stretch me a bit and CrossFit Torsion was it! I haven't been here long, but so far it's been a great gym. The people here are super friendly and the coaches are attentive to everyone. They have a flexible schedule that works well for anyone interested in joining CrossFit.

Update after 1 month: all of the coaches here are very attentive and helpful when it comes to explaining proper form and the process of each workout. They demonstrate how to do it correctly, and pay close attention to things that need changed, whether that's lowering weight or adding more. I'm loving it here so far!

I love this place! The only activity that has motivated me to keep coming since I was an aerobic instructor in the 70’s & 80’s!! Actually thought I was too old to do it but my daughter kept insisting that I go here! (She had visited it several times when she was in town) Safest gym you will find as they really concentrate on technique and doing things safely and correctly. Furthermore, it feels like family! Also, appreciate the fact that they care about all areas of health and educate us on a myriad of health topics. I drop in to this CF gym every time I’m in town visiting family. They have great, engaging coaches and awesome people to workout with. As a coach, I have been mentored by the best in the area and now have the same chance to coach and mentor athletes of all skill levels. I was very against joining crossfit back when my wife talked me into it but now I couldn’t imagine not being apart of this box! If you’re considering it, just do it! I’m traveling for business and dropped in this morning. I’ve been to dozens of CrossFit locations (boxes) over the last 7 years and this is the best yet. Impeccably clean, like not a spec of dust anywhere. As a result, everything looks brand new. I went to the 6:15am class and the group ranged from beginners to very experienced. Regardless of athletic level, every single person was incredibly welcoming. It was such a fun environment. A ton of smiles and laughter. Most all boxes have that type of environment but this place felt special in that regard. I had a few good laughs myself. Last, the coaching was excellent. Coach Robert was top tier. He explained (and demonstrated) every movement in a very easy to understand way. I saw him work with lots of individuals on form and technique. You could tell he really wants to be a great coach for athletes of all levels.

AMAZING! 3 weeks in and very happy with our decision to join CF Torsion. Great place for beginners, those who have been outta the gym for awhile, as well as skilled athletes. Very, very knowledgeable coaching staff. Coaches spend time with each individual in class helping with modifications as well as making sure you have correct form. They have also helped by offering some mobility suggestions as well. Great staff, great space, and awesome members! It is such a welcoming community and I am happy we have found our new home box!

I just recently started CrossFit after having a bad experience many years ago and refusing to go back. I’ve been going for about 2 weeks now and have never felt more motivated or at home than at this place. The coaches and even the other people going treat you like they have known you forever! They support all of your goals and make sure that you are taken care of! They make sure that mentality you are okay above all else. The coaches learned my name after only attending 1 class. I will forever be grateful for these people accepting a newbie and making me feel like I have a family in such a short time! I was on a business trip and wanted to get a workout in. I contacted CrossFit Torsion and was able to attend a morning workout. The facility was very well laid out and the equipment was great. The workout consisted of a warm-up followed by the WOD. The people were friendly and I was greeted as one of their own, which was nice. There were people of different experiences/capabilities and absolutely no judging, instead everyone was very supportive. It was great and I'm glad I reached out to them. When I'm back up in the area, I'll definitely hit them up for a drop-in again.
