I’ve been away from this gym over 2 months and even one month prior to my return, there were two (2) pieces of equipment that were broken and guess what, today, 11/24/25 they are still broken. When my wife and I first arrived at this gym, things were nice, good equipment and about 4 weeks later, two (2) of our favorite pieces of equipment went down. I can’t believe Crunch gym doesn’t have money to get this repaired or replaced.

Some places you go you can feel "the atmosphere" the general vibe. I get great good vibes here. The staff are awesome and promote a positive and welcoming environment. I've had memberships to two other gyms and both of those just had a depressing and unmotivating atmosphere/ vibe. But not Crunch Fitness! I really enjoy my time spent here. This is money very well spent!

This gym feels very unprofessional and uncomfortable. It’s overcrowded most of the time, and the environment can feel unsafe with some people acting creepy. The space is often so packed it feels suffocating.
Be very cautious with the membership: canceling is difficult, and they will charge you extra fees (over $50 in my case). They also push personal training packages that are ineffective and feel like a money grab.
Overall, not worth the hassle or the stress — beware before signing up.

I have been going here faithfully 3-5 times a week for a year. The place is always clean, I haven’t experienced any disrespectful people. It gets busy in the evening, but the mornings and afternoons are pretty calm. Broken equipment gets fixed quickly. I have been to a lot of gyms, this is the best deal for the money in Columbus.

I don't like to be a complainer I've Been a member at other gyms (not crunch) and I have to stay this is the worst men's locker room I've ever been in. Always dirty ,smells , always seems to have urinals or stalls out of order.

I recently started working out at Crunch Fitness whenever I visit Columbus, and it’s been a great experience so far. I didn’t used to come here, but I’m glad I gave it a try. The gym has plenty of equipment, so it’s easy to get in a solid workout without waiting around.

It doesn’t have as many amenities as I’m typically used to, but it’s clean, well-maintained, and efficient. It’s perfect for getting in and out without a fuss. They also offer a variety of classes and personal training services, which is great for those looking for more structure, but I’m just here to get my workout in, and it suits that need really well.

Shoutout to Jerry at the front desk. He’s super kind and always welcomes you with a warm smile. It’s a small gesture, but it makes every visit feel that much more positive. This has definitely become my go-to gym when I’m in town.

Don’t go here! I have been going back and forth with management about canceling my membership since May 5th. They told me about the annual fees and that’s fine! I get it but I went into the branch to cancel signed the paperwork and they still took money from my account 4 times after cancellation. I spoke with a manager named Nick and Bailey. They both said I would be refunded and I wasn’t. This is now August. I went to look at a print out for my account they lied and said it was recently canceled in July. I see a few charges that’s questionable as well. Nick said that they would refund me $98.78 ,nothing . Bailey said she did a reverse refund and check with my bank! Nothing! Why take people money if they cancelled?! You can not take people money and continue to lie! This place is a Fraud and if you cancel they will still take your hard earned money and give you the run around. Now I may have to take legal action

I paid for a personal training session at Crunch Fitness Reynoldsburg with Terasha Barwick Long that never happened. The trainer pressured me to pay her directly through Cash App, even though I hadn't signed any contract. I was told by a staff member that I would be refunded, but then Terasha refused to return my money, saying their policy doesn't allow refunds for unused sessions.
This feels misleading and unfair. If you're thinking about personal training here, be very careful with payment methods and refund promises. I’ve since filed formal complaints because this business practice seems deceptive

With some of the changes and the fact that they had added more machines that makes it easier for members to get on their favorite machines. Sooner than having to wait for 20 to 30mins. I use my membership for my wife and I. She used my unlimited guest pass but there are tons of things that change with no notice. Machines sit on the floor for months at a time broken. They no longer offer child care. New location policy states that guest no longer have access to tanning, massage chairs, and red light.

Do NOT go to this franchise especially this location. They have very sketchy membership practices! They refuse to do cancellations over the phone. My husband had to travel hours since we moved to cancel his membership! They charged him an annual fee of $64 and then said that bc there’s a 30 day notice he has to pay another $30 membership charge! You would think that the click to cancel law would count for them but they make it very hard and costly to cancel a membership. On top of that the facility is old and not up to date! Rearranging equipment is NOT an update. The parking lot is even a joke & worn down. They don’t allow you to call corporate and just say “they’ll tell you the same thing”. Go to planet fitness if you want to save money & still have a decent place to workout but even better for $30 go to a lifetime fitness they have everything, above all else they have decent practices that are clear on day 1 and good customer service!

I went in to cancel membership as I no longer live in the area, and said I wanted to cancel my membership since the year long contract was up, and was told by an employee it cancels automatically. I later find out it charged my account again and in fact does not cancel automatically. I joined Crunch in April 25. I really like this gym. Here is a rundown of my pros and cons.
Pros: Gym staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I really like all the trainers I’ve met. Facility is pretty clean. Lots of classes to choose from. You can bring a guest as young as 14 if they have a state ID. Good machine selection.
Cons: No shelf in the shower so I gotta put my shampoo on the floor. Shower takes forever to get warm if you come in first thing in the morning. Shower isn’t always clean, sometimes I find hair on the floor at 6am!

Overall it’s fantastic with a fair price, I definitely recommend it.

There is a reason crunch is not certified by the BBB. They participate in predatory practices and are highly unprofessional. A trainer told my girlfriend that she was signing a pledge to lose weight. In reality it was a 3-month contract for personal training. This trainer then left the gym and advised my girlfriend to cancel the contract and come to the new gym. To do so costs additional money. On top of that she is being trained now by the manager of the trainers who sees other clients at the same time and just generally does not take the $90/hr training sessions seriously. When trying to cancel, this new trainer dances around the subject and will not give a straightforward answer on how or how much to do so. I have only ever been as a guest on a few occasions, but I will never recommend or purchase my own membership to a crunch gym and I would advise you to do the same.

I’ve been going to this gym consistently for 8 months. I love the gym! I love the new update with the layout. I love how everyone is so nice and it feels like a great neighborhood gym. The crew that works there very nice, they always makes you feel welcome and comfortable. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because there is only 1 of some of the most popular machines. 1 sliding smith machine, 1 back extension machine, 1 hip abduction machine. Plus there are newer machines out that the gym doesn’t have, like an actual hip thrust machine. They need newer equipment! And the evenings are terrible, waaaayyyy too many people.

I would give this gym -5 stars if I could. I would NOT recommend Crunch to anyone. They do not have a sustainable cancellation process unless you only cancel with your “home” gym. My fiancé was in town for work for a few months (hence why he joined this gym) but we live in SC. Therefore, he has “no” way to cancel his membership successfully unless he flew back to this location… and yes we’ve asked to speak to management multiple times.

This company is okay with taking money from consumers even when they’re unable to use the membership, PATHETIC.

This is my go to gym, they have great machines, a nice set up, and everything is clean, however, the evenings are pretty hectic with everyone stacked on top of each other, because unfortunately, they like to run two classes at the same time on turf and in the classroom, which takes up so much space and doesn’t give you room to use any of the open space and not to mention the gym seems like it’s at or over capacity at that point. Another thing is they take forever to fix inoperable machines. One of the abductor machines, abs equipment, 2 stair masters, have been down for 2 months if not more. I just wish they’d fix the machines and somehow open up more space.
