This is These people are so rude. They will yell at little kids. steps one pinky toe on the court they will yell at the little kid maybe even kick them out if a baby is on a court they will give you one chance and then they will yell at you for no reason this is a terrible place. I recommend you do not come. it cost way too much like thousands of dollars to be on the court for an hour. They don’t do half hours either. I did not recommend you come this place is terrible.

Be aware they do not let you warm up more than 15 mins ahead of time. Which I would say is a safety issue for older players. I would not use this gym again for any leagues or reservations.

Their volleyball open gym is also $10 for 2 hours. No more no less they have cameras and are strict about time and money.

Vandalia rec center is $3 for 4 hours on Thursdays I will be going their from now on.

Very happy with my experience here. I needed a quick solution for getting my 8U softball girls a practice, as the rain this spring has derailed it. I was able to rent a nice segment of their turf field at a very affordable price. We practiced while there was a large volleyball tournament going on in the next gym, but it was no hindrance whatsoever. Staff was excellent, parking was plentiful even with the tournament. Will absolutely go here again.

The inside was fairly nice but they forced everyone to throw away any outside food or drinks even though it was an entire day of volleyball with no healthy or cost friendly options. They had pizza in a heater or hot dogs.
This rule was so strict that I watched a man literally walk around in circles the entire day just to tell people to throw things away, move their stuff, etc. and they forced a player to throw away her breakfast at our 7:30am game.
I don’t know if they think this will make people buy more food from concession but it just made all of our parents angry and refuse.

they also didn’t have enough chairs to give our teams benches.

On top of this they yelled at my girls (I’m a 13u volleyball coach) for sitting a foot over the imaginary line which separated the allotted sections they were allowed to camp in.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. This place is a DUMP! Horrible part of town. Bathrooms are awful. There's a bald guy that just walks around policing the area. He made volleyball players throw away their smoothies and food entering the building. He is walking around to see if anyone is drinking outside drinks such as energy drinks etc! It's absolutely ridiculous. The bathrooms are disgusting. They smell so bad. What a horrible way to treat guests entering your facility. Manager- you should honestly be embarrassed for the service you are providing here for young athletes! Will NEVER come to this place again in my life. We had my son’s 12th birthday party at Dayton Sports Complex. He and his friends had an amazing time! They loved playing football and soccer on the field. They also liked taking breaks in the arcade when they started to get too tired from running around. The staff was outstanding and very attentive before and during the party. I had my Daughter’s 10th birthday party at the Dayton Sports Complex this past Saturday. She absolutely loved her basketball themed birthday and that she got an entire basketball court! All the other children also had a blast! Parents raved about how it was nice to have something different rather than just at home. The staff was very helpful and continued to check to make sure we had everything we needed. The space was ready when we showed up. They have supplies and you can also bring your own. They were very nice and accommodating to the guest of the party! Everyone had good things to say. I would definitely recommend checking them out and you can’t beat the price! We went to a Volleyball tournament here. They charged $10 a person a day. Instead of marking your hand you had to hold on to a ticket to come and go. Absolutely no outside fast food or drink. No water refill stations. Charged $3 per bottle of water. Over 500 people in the gym it’s over 80 degrees. They don’t have AC and have no solutions to the heat. The worst experience ever!!!

Horrible for all day tournaments. Outdated women's bathroom with 4 stalls for an all girls volleyball tournament. Grown men on a power trip throwing girls drinks away in the camping area while they are playing. Every facility has a no outside food policy. This place takes it to the absolute extreme! Parents aren't allowed in the camping area with their kids. They walk around all day trying to find people breaking a rule. Worst place we have been so far for a tournament. Zero star facility.

The previous post regarding poor food choices (nachos, hot dogs, pizza) is spot on. How do you expect our athletes to eat this junk-seeing as how outside food is prohibited?
My main concern is that there was not a functional AED in the building. When I asked about it I was told "the battery has been dead for years and we ordered another one, but it's not charged". A sports complex this size should have 2 working AED's at all times... this is a huge safety violation and could lead to a lawsuit.

Fun place to take family to play sports and kick ball and get a few snacks when needed. They just need to get better soft pretzels, I would suggest Marchells from Brookville Ohio they make them locally and it would be a local business supporting another local business. I would tell you to look them up and tell them Scott Horrigan made the recommendation. It would help you increase your food sales having better tasting foods.

Here from 7:45a-6p for a volleyball tournament. Not nearly enough parking to hold a tournament for 16 teams. Allowed absolutely no outside food or drink and instead offered completely overpriced junk food at a concession. $12 for a Jack's pizza lol. Not ideal options for young athletes playing ALL day. Made people throw away full coffees at the door and witnessed them make a guy pay for 2 coffees at the counter in order to bring his own in (he didn't actually get the coffee he paid for). Been to MANY volleyball tournaments and never experienced anything close to this. Guy walking around all day policing food and drinks and where people could and couldn't stand. Kicking out parents from the camp area just trying to talk to their girls. 1 full court wasn't used the ENTIRE day but yet he was constantly making players and spectators get off it. Would have provided a lot more space for people to wait around and more space was definitely needed for that many people. Claimed it was "rented" but we were there all day and not 1 activity was held on that court. This was said in another review and noticed they again claimed it was rented?! Roof was leaking and bathrooms were gross. By far the worst venue we've been to.

Went for our granddaughters volleyball tournament, decent place inside. No where near enough parking for a big tournament. Pretty high priced on concessions, about twice of everything's worth. And bring a coat, almost as cold inside as out. But the tournament did go pretty smoothly, only 16 teams total. Don't think they could handle much more. Seems about average for these sports venues.

Very nice facility.
Volleyball courts are hardwood which is great. But…….there is a whole area that could be used for seating so the players and parents would have more room and the manager would come around constantly and make sure no one had any articles in that area. His reasoning was, the area is rented but we were there for hours and it was not used.

I Had a birthday party for my daughter tonight and it was fantastic. The venue was clean, huge and met all of our expectations. The party host Cameron had the place decorated, offered to help with every detail and was engaging and helpful to our guests! Definitely recommend for birthday parties if your kids love sports! Even the adults played!

My only suggestion is to add some type of drink package to the parties!

Celebrated my son’s bday party with a basketball themed party. From start to finish it was a great experience. The woman who opened up set up all decorations and provided my son and his friends with everything they needed. The woman I spoke with prior to the event was so helpful and answered all questions and concerns I had. Had a birthday party scheduled for a 10 yr old. Scheduled well in advance, with communication the day prior. We showed up for the party and the doors were locked. Others in the parking lot also unable to follow through with their plans as well. Their phone is not helpful, just a recording, so no chance to speak to anyone or even leave a message. We had to e mail them and wait for a response. Eventually some one called. Said the staff was sick and we would have to wait 1.5 hrs to start the party, which is about when it was supposed to end. They said their was no way to have anyone there to start the party as scheduled. It also sounded like they did not even know it never opened until we let them know. We don't think the owner even found out until over an hour later. To the owner's credit they did reach out with an e mail to apologize. But, that was too little too late. Party ruined with no other time to reschedule with everyone's busy schedules. Watching my boy cry because he was so excited and really looking forward to this party is very hard for a parent.

Dayton Sports Complex, what an absolute disaster of a venue for a birthday party. I had booked a 10-year-old birthday party with over 20 invited guests, all which had to drive at least 35 minutes to get to the venue, only to have it unceremoniously canceled at the time the party was supposed to be being set up.
First and foremost, Dayton Sports Complex exhibited a shocking lack of communication and consideration. Despite confirming the party reservation well in advance, and again the night before, the staff failed to notify us of any potential issues or concerns leading up to the event. It was only when we arrived with an excited newly 10-year-old and friends, that we were informed of the lack of staff to open the building to host the party. The utter lack of professionalism displayed by the staff was appalling. They didn't even know that their staff wasn't going to show up that morning to work until I emailed them and a trainer in the parking lot texted them to tell them the building was still locked up and closed.
Furthermore, the complete absence of any contingency plan or alternative solution is indicative of Dayton Sports Complex's utter incompetence. The party was set to begin at 11:30, and by the time they reached out to me a few minutes before that, they offered to be there to open the building at 1:00. What was I supposed to do in a parking lot for one and a half hours with 20 ten-year-olds that drove over a 30 minutes, and especially, with a very disappointed birthday boy. Our plans were ruined, and the disappointment on the faces of the children was heart-wrenching.
We spent weeks organizing and preparing for this special occasion, only to have Dayton Sports Complex crush our expectations at the last possible moment. The emotional toll it took on the birthday child cannot be overstated.
To the owner's credit, he did reach out with an email to apologize. We were also offered a free party that evening or the next morning, but given the long drive and busy schedules of that many kids, there is no way that could work. Their last-minute cancellation of our 10-year-old's birthday party, coupled with their complete lack of communication, has left a sour taste in our mouths. Save yourself the frustration, disappointment and heartache--avoid Dayton Sports Complex at all costs.

After having gone to numerous different places for volleyball tournaments, by far the worst. Most places do not allow outside food, in order to make money on concessions but they at least have decent food; here is lacking it. Also, having a rule of not being able to bring in outside coffee is absolutely ridiculous! I have never had another sports complex stop people at the door for trying to bring in Starbucks coffees, yet only serve horrible tasting coffee inside. Huge fail and do not recommend booking tournaments here. Will give it one star because the facility itself is nice, even though the layout could be a little better with all the available space for tournaments.
