UPDATE: 9+ years going to ELMNTL Fitness now and itβs still as original, challenging and fresh as the first time. The combo of strength, cardio and conditioning is just what I need. I love the people here, too - both regulars and newcomers - because we all enjoy being outside!

I've been working out at ELMNTL Fitness week in and week out for over 5 years now. I've never stuck with a gym, home workout or fitness class for this long or this consistently, ever. Not even close. Why has ELMNTL Fitness been different for me? Two main reasons. First, it's because Kevin Wimmer, founder and instructor, works you out in a way that is grounded so heavily in functional fitness. I feel so much more capable to handle the physical demands of real life. Lifting something heavy. Carrying something from here to there. This is embodied in no less than the actual surroundings of our "gym." We exercise outside, at the park and it's SO much more exhilarating than any other workout I've done. Being outside in the elements is invigorating, whether it's the mid-August or mid-February! And Kevin makes every single workout different and unique, too. Your body never gets used to the workouts because he changes it up every single time. There are no set routines at ELMNTL. The other big reason I keep coming back is the friends and community I've made. Everyone here is so supportive and encouraging. You can fit in no matter your fitness level as long as you're willing to try. All you have tp do is show up. I've made great friends here and I hope to keep making more!

If you're looking for a great fitness community in the Cincinnati area, look no more! ELMNTL Fitness' outdoor classes are unique, fun, and challenging!
Kevin, the trainer and owner, does a wonderful job planning and facilitating each class. He begins each class by leading a group warm up and then explains the workout with clear details and demonstrations, including highlighting important exercise cues and the muscles being worked. Kevin also does a great job of sharing ways for participants to make the exercises more or less challenging depending on each individualβs own needs and abilities. This makes it easy for anyone of any age or athletic ability to join and get an appropriately challenging workout. Furthermore, Kevin also remains actively engaged throughout the entire workout, ensuring all participants are executing the exercises properly, providing encouraging words of support along the way, and working individually with participants on their personal goals.
Kevin designs different types of workouts each class, but classes always incorporate functional movement patterns and different planes of motion. Itβs all about getting stronger, healthier, and moving better for life. Workouts contain a combination of strength, cardio, and endurance.
Also, the class participants are incredibly welcoming, friendly, and supportive, from your very first class and every class after. Everyone is focused on working on their own goals, while supporting and encouraging one another. As a result, there is very little competition to lift heavier than the next person, for example, and instead you are encouraged to do what is right for you personally. Youβll be encouraged to work hard and challenge yourself, but itβs up to you to decide at what level to push yourself.
Lastly, signing up and getting started is super easy. There are various pricing plans available, and the app for registering for classes is easy to navigate. Communication is clear from the very beginning with a great welcome email, clearly outlining all the information you could possibly want to know leading up to your first class, including what to bring and where to park.
I highly recommend you try an ELMNTL Fitness class! You wonβt regret it!

I look forward to my workouts at ELMNTL every single time. There's really nothing else like this in the city for a fitness environment - outdoors away from the city, natural equipment, functionally-based, FUN, no gimmicks(!). It's hard but well-tailored so that even coming in as a beginner, when I was out of shape and coming off a string of injuries, I still felt welcomed and able to find my personal achievement in the work. There's a LOT of great camaraderie so everyone can laugh when it's challenging. Now, more than 20lbs lighter and much, much stronger, Kevin progresses the workout with me and continues to keep adapting it so I continue to get results. I like to be challenged and feel results from the workout, but without being overwhelmed or underestimated. Kevin has a gift for finding the right balance with that, and he is always really positive and patient in finding my progress points.

Elmntl has been my consistent 'go to' work out for over 5 years. Kevin is always mixing our workouts up to exercise us in strength, agility, cardio. He is knowledgeable, conscientious on safety, encouraging. The community we workout w are supportive, fun and challenging.

As a bodyworker I know what needs to happen to reach your goals, however when it was my own body I had challenges. And I was challenged in finding a personal trainer that was educated enough to help me recover from some injuries, work with me to explain and get me back to my strong self (that I had let laps) with the awareness to que correctly, oh and they had to make things fun. I found ALL that at ELMNTL Fitness! Plus it is outside!!
The group is so supportive and fun with ELMNTL its about staying positive and reaching that goal!

Always a great workout and atmosphere---challenging, but not intimidating. I like to do these as cross-training for obstacle course races, and they're perfect for that since they hit grip strength and cardio in addition to all yo muscles (which WILL be sore the next day).

ELMNTL Fitness has been the foundation of my workout for 3 years now and it has changed my whole attitude and level of confidence in what I can do. It has gotten me in good enough shape to complete a few obstacle course races, something I never imagined I'd do. You don't have to be that "hard core" to fully enjoy and feel comfortable at ELMNTL though. It's also very family friendly; I have been bringing my boys with me for the last couple years. The workouts NEVER get boring because Kevin always throws in new twists, you're always out in the elements which makes it a ton of fun (yes, even in January) and I get to workout with newfound friends! Many of them call ELMNTL Fitness their happy place or the best part of their day. Don't be afraid to give this a try - it could be just what you're looking for, too!

ELMNTL is challenging and fun. Kevin is a fantastic leader and sets a positive tone from the start. Each workout is unique and you can push yourself as fast as you want to go. Adding in the scenic park and being outside makes every workout much better. I learn something new every time I go and make it a priority to attend every time I'm in Cincinnati.

Cannot say enough great things about Elmntl and the job Kevin does. The workouts are challenging but Kevin focuses on your goals rather than generic goals. You wouldn't think flipping logs or dead lifting rocks would result in your exercise goals. Also the people working out with you make thiis a more fun than just working out.

ELMNTL has been my weekly fitness routine for over 3 years. I love that it combines a trip to the park, a challenging workout that is different every time, and a great group of people who love the outdoors and fitness.

Elmntl Fitness has it all-- fun, personal challenge, friendly competition, camaraderie, encouragement, nutrition guidance, fresh air, and some really nice people. Also cool T-shirts. And very reasonably priced for personal attention. Kevin Wimmer, the owner, really knows his stuff and can safely apply his knowledge to any one regardless of fitness ability. My only bugaboo is that this awesomeness is a 30 minute drive away for me, otherwise I would be a lifetime member.

I have been working out with Kevin at Elmntl for over 3 years. Kevin is a professional, always making certain you are doing the exercises correctly and pushing you to do perform you best you can do. Each visit to Elmntl is fun, hardworking, gratifying making certain we are working each area of our bodies so we are building strength, stamina and confidence. One of my favorite workouts! The most fun you'll have working out. Period. Kevin is an awesome coach and trainer and has created an amazing community and experience through ELMNTL Fitness! The workouts are challenging and you will never hit a plateau...unless the plateau is at the top of a hill sprint! I'm so glad that I happened to stumble on Elemtl during my weekend trip to Cincy. I googled 'local gyms and this caught my eye. Something different. Something outside of my usual gym setting where I'm usually distracted by tv's and mirrors. Kevin is great. The group was welcoming. There is a genuine sense of community and caring. They encouraged each other by name. The workouts was great- not too intense and not to easy. It was scaled to everyone's needs. The weather couldn't have been more perfect. After I finished a set of 20 KB swings, I caught my breathe, looked up at the sun, heard some birds chirp and thought "life is good." Thank you Kevin, and the group, for letting me experience the hidden gem that is Elmntl.
