Been going to this gym for over 2 years. The amenities of having a pool, basketball court, and sauna are really nice. They also have a decent range of equipment and they seem to take care of broken equipment in a timely manner. I do wish however they had more equipment though. Staff have ranged from friendly to shy which is fine and better than being rude.

Now onto to the cons. The men’s bathroom has always had a smell to it and doesn’t seem like they keep up with cleaning it as much as they should. The atmosphere is a little weird because the carpet, decor, and lighting do not feel like a gym. I wish they also had better cooling. Every time I get on the treadmill or some other cardio machine I get very sweaty. Other gyms like Planet Fitness have fans above you which are very nice when doing those exercises. Lastly, they randomly decided to move locations without notifying their customers in any way shape or form. The ONLY way you found out was this piece of paper taped to the front door which is very easily missed. How is a customer supposed to know this information if they missed the paper or don’t go to the gym very often? Why can’t they just email their customers? This is unacceptable and screams scam because I can guarantee there will be a lot of people who will still be paying for this gym without them knowing it completely moved locations. Before this I would’ve given a 3 maybe even a 4 star rating, but because of this behavior I don’t think it deserves that high of a rating.

Loved the Yoga classes here until recently when the club insists on keeping the lights on during class! What’s up with that? The group fitness room has plenty of light coming on through big windows - it’s so much better not to have the overhead fluorescent lights on when practicing yoga!

Gym is way too hot.temperature is controlled by corporate office not here.

Since its change to esporta from LA a lot of change has been made. Including a lot more equipment and management. The issues I have is the management there is very inconsistent. I had to get the pass that includes guest about a month ago. I signed the form and everything and I came back 3 weeks later and my pass wasn’t changed. While I was trying to figure it out, the worker at the front let in 4-6 people without scanning in so the pass is clearly not that important. The fact that they choose who comes in for free and who doesn’t isn’t fair. So it’s 3/5. 4.5/5 equipment. Cleanness 5/5 management 2/5

I have been an Esporta member for 20 years all over the country.
But Harpers Point with Austin is my favorite “happy place.”

Austin is on top of things, he’s always listening to members & acting on their concerns. He’s fair, kind & very helpful. Things run smoothly.

Austin is gone now but the rest of the team keeps things running.

The gym is clean, the music is at a perfect volume & others are always there if you have questions or concerns about anything.

They understand the machines which is a huge help to senior citizens!

They are all decorated for Xmas and the whole place is so beautiful. Come join

Clean facility but the members are awful. There’s one man that comes at 5 am that thinks he owns the place. He takes up three machines and puts a towel on one. He takes the towel and blows his nose in it and then puts back on machine. Another male member singled me out and bullied me about not putting plates away. He followed me like a creep around the gym to reiterate his point despite the fact the nose blower takes up multiple machines. Sexism at its finest. Employees also do not show up to open on weekends. Members aren’t serious with fitness and are more concerned with socializing. Hope this location goes out of business. Go elsewhere, especially if you’re a woman.

I've used this gym for the past two years. And the area is pretty safe so I didn't bother to use a lock to secure my backpack in the locker room. But this early March, my car key and credit cards were stolen from the locker room. The female staff was very kind and helpful to find my stuff and introduced me to use the number locks at the gym. I'm thankful for her help and kindness.

If your coming to this location for the daycare don’t do it. I got a membership at this gym for the daycare and I have been turned away saying they don’t have people to work the daycare. Yesterday I went there and they said we couldn’t stay because they don’t have anyone to work the daycare. So I took my dissapointed children back to my car and then literally watched a mom drop off 2 kids at the same daycare and the same guy that made us Leave went and sat down to watch them. It’s not a terrible gym as far as everything else goes, but if your wanting the kids club do not waste your time at this location. It’s a joke and i would rather have my money back since they false advertising.

I have been working out at this gym since 2012. It used to be LA Fitness. I liked LA Fitness and I liked this location better than others. It is convenient for me and the employees are pleasant. We were excited to try out the guest pass—especially since we were looking for an indoor basketball court to utilize. We called before we signed up for the guest pass yesterday (12/20) and the worker on the phone informed us that the basketball court was included for guests (she even had to pause and asked someone else to confirm). When we showed up, one guy behind the desk said the court is for members only (we had basketball in hand so it was obvious what we were there for). We told him what we were told the day before and he rudely told us “it’s not my fault”. We weren’t even remotely aggressive—we politely said goodbye and left. That information of courts being members only isn’t listed online anywhere which is exactly why we called to make sure. This was not the end of the world for us but we did drive 25 minutes, and it would’ve been nice to get an apology and a more polite interaction. And for the entire staff to be well informed. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Worst experience with Esporta. Staff don’t have knowledge and correct information about anything. All are dumb. For their own profit they are lying to customers and giving wrong information.I signed up for a personal training because they forced and convince me that i no need pay buy out amount. Been a member since last May. Was very pleased at first. I am handicap. Sometimes nice members will open the doors for me.
Which I am very grateful. But often times people are forcing their way into my lane in the pool. I am more than willing to share when someone will ask. And give me space. But it is happening alot now days 😢 I need to be able to do very basic aquatic exercises for my many orthopedic issues. It allows to be able to walk. I don't want to have to go back to using a motorized scooter again.
I feel I am being discrimination against. And no one cares. Including management. Which I've begged for help many times.

Esporta In Montgomery has overcharged me three times this month when I went to cancel my membership. I have tried calling them several times to reach someone about getting a refund (which has still yet to happen) and either management is never there or no one is able to answer my question, get me corporates number, or call me back. I called again today and one of the employees named Mitchell was incredibly disrespectful to me. This was the second time I had spoken to him and he even said “isn’t this the person from last Sunday”. Very short on the phone, gave me attitude, stated he “couldn’t find corporates number”, and then hung up on me while I was talking. Definitely will not be going back or recommending this gym to anyone.

I ended up prepaying for a membership, and got month to month personal training sessions. I was told when signing the contract if I moved outside of so many miles then I would be able to cancel the contract without any penalties. I lost my job, and moved to Arkansas to live with family. I contacted them on the 15th of March, and let then know I moved to Arkansas outside of the radius. They said they can cancel my gym membership since it was prepaid. They can't cancel my personal training sessions because it was month to month. I had to come in person or do it online, and have a utility bill (the utilities will not be switched over since I am a guest) in order to show proof I moved. The website they sent needed my membership number which I didn't have because things are in storage because of the move. I tried to contact their Corporate offices and they still haven't refunded my personal membership that I prepaid, or canceled my personal training sessions. They charged me on the 15th of March and are continuing to try to bill me because it seems they only care about profits. Not their members. My experience shows it is super hard to cancel, and I don't want anyone that has unforseen circumstances to be in this position. I highly recommend a company like planet fitness so you can go month to month with their membership. Then get on thumbtack or another site to find a personal trainer. Then you don't have to be in this position!

LA Fitness a great place to workout. First I want to say thank you to Tierra for being so helpful. I was so impressed with the level of professionalism and customer service you presented. I also want to give a shout out to the people working out at the gym. This place looked like it was owned by the people who workout there. The place was clean, the weights were stacked neatly and people even re-racked their weights and plates when they were done.
The bathroom was spotless and the shower area was spotless as well. The people working out there were cool as well, asking if you were using something before they took it.
I would suggest you visit this gym if you are looking for a place to join. I believe you will very impressed for the value and quality environment of this workout facility.

Had a bad experience with them. Went and talked to them to cancel our LA fitness account. They said it’s cancelled and they removed it in computer in front of me. I have been charged for the next few months also. When I noticed and asked them I came to know that they did not cancel it. When I called and asked about it they were very rude and told its not cancelled and asked me where is the proof that i Asked them cancel. They dint even care to respond properly.
