The salesperson lied about their service and they locked me into a long term contract. While the facility itself is usually clean, the bathroom is dirty and often out of sanitary products. The manager spends more time on their their phone and actually addressing the needs of the customer. They embody the reason people don't care for places like this. I’ve been a member at Everybody Fitness in troy for a while now and I can honestly say it’s one of the best gym experiences I’ve had. The manager runs the facility with a level of professionalism and care that truly stands out! every question is answered every concern is handled quickly and you can tell they genuinely want members to feel supported.
The staff is just as welcoming and helpful. Down to explaining equipment offering guidance or just greeting you with a friendly attitude cami is great and they make the atmosphere comfortable for all fitness levels.
The gym itself is always clean, well maintained and organized. Equipment is in great condition and when it’s not the maintenance man is always on top of it ! the environment feels safe and never feels uncomfortable and it’s clear that cleanliness is a priority.
Really Everybody Fitness here in Troy has created a space where you actually want to show up and put the work in. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, supportive, and well managed place to work out!

I love this gym for all the years I’ve been coming, not only is the gym clean and lots of equipment… but when Cam and Cami came together I’ve seen such an amazing difference in the environment. Good gym. Only real complaint is I workout every day from around 5:45-7:30, and a yoga class is held from 6-7 most days of the work week.
Yoga instructor is very rude and demanding, and still closes off Astro Turf room (half of the gym square footage) when she has 3-5 participants in yoga class in a giant room, and blocks off entrances to the door way.
Did you guys include in my contract that the Astro turf room would be unavailable when I go to the gym everyday? If not a discount on my membership would be acceptable… unless the club wants to provide an alternative area for stretching/free weights?

Awful business practices. I was 1 year into my 3 year contract when I got pregnant (miracle) but had a very high risk pregnancy. My doctor signed a note saying I couldn’t work out and I notified them. They said I needed the doctor to sign paperwork saying I was DISABLED! The gym is perfect for those who are looking for a reliable place to work out. They provide day care in the mornings and afternoons that comes with your membership! Im not sure why people are getting bent out of shape about the contract because 1. If youre getting a membership its not going to be just for a year and you quit and 2. There is legitimately no other place that provides classes, sauna, tanning and daycare for the monthly price of Everybody Fitness here in Troy (I dare you to find one and get back to my comment).

I have been a member of Everybody Fitness in Troy since they opened. That are very lucky to have Cami to supervise that location. Cami has always been friendly but demands cleanliness and professionalism from her staff and isn't afraid to do work that is below her position when needed. She listens to member concerns and navigates extremely difficult Mama bears and citizens of Troy both in person and on social media with transparency, directness and kindness. She is consistently blamed for things out of her control (such as childcare staff requirements and membership contracts) with amazing resilience. My mom and i enjoy going to this gym Cami helped us and even printed me out work out information to help with weight lifting side. It does seem there's always someone that doesn't want to work/quits Cami is there to pick up the slack. I joined Everybody Fitness in January 2023. The staff is friendly and easy to work with. The gym’s clean, has an energetic vibe, and plays good music. They’ve got plenty of cardio equipment, free weights, and machines.

It comes with a 3-year commitment, which might not be for everyone, but it worked for me. In the first 18 months, I dropped 120 pounds and got rid of my type 2 diabetes. It’s located a couple minutes from my work and home. The sauna’s a nice addition—Google the benefits if you’re curious.

They offer group classes Monday through Saturday, like strength training and yoga. I stick to yoga mostly; it keeps me flexible as I get older. Two years into my contract, I’m staying put. I put in the effort to improve my health, but the gym gave me what I needed to pull it off. Being so close to home doesn’t hurt either.

Completely honest review here. Current member of the Troy location for over 18 months now. Use my membership regularly. For those saying it isn’t 24 hrs, they have to be talking about other locations, because Troy absolutely is. I’ve been there at 2:30 am when I have a busy work schedule. So very convenient for that. Of course they are going to close on major holidays. If you frequent the gym, you’d know they post it on the door with plenty of advance notice. So to say they aren’t open 24/7 because they are closed for holiday is unfair.

Everyone saying they had no idea it was a three year contract, I was told right up front when I called and then again when I went in to sign up. Maybe that was a change because of the complaints. Don’t know, but I do know it wasn’t hidden from me. It’s a hard pill to swallow thinking of a three year contract, but I’m committed to my health and knowing they are a mile from my house means I have no excuse to not go, even when it’s -10 below with inches of snow on the ground.

All that being said, they definitely need to improve some things as well. First one isn’t their fault, but geez, seeing grown people sweating all over a machine but cant be bothered to.clean the machine after using it is just NASTY!! It would be nice if they made more signage about this though.

The treadmills, ellipticals, and bikes aren’t well maintained. They may work, but certain features don’t. They aren’t cleaned all that well either. Yeah, you may not care about the foot bed of the petals, but I’ve gone in at 3:30 am and there’s a sweat map on the floor from who knows when.

Finally the heat..good lord please get some fans!!! Maybe I’m the only one who doesn’t glisten prettily, I sweat and it drips. I get overheated fast. I almost passed out before due to how warm it is and actually emailed them about it, twice..never a response. But hey, locked in for three years, so gonna get my money’s worth.

There you have it. I haven’t had a horrible experience and the convenience of being close to home and open 24 hrs makes it well worth it for me, but yeah, could definitely due with a few improvements!!

This is a great gym! There is a good crowd respectful people, amazing staff, and convenient amenities.

They offer daycare, even on Saturdays. They have saunas, tanning booths, and a nice fitness room with turf. This gym has a wide variety of equipment suitable for all your needs whether you’re a body builder, trying out a gym for your first time, or anywhere in between.

Everybody Fitness of Troy is my favorite gym of all times. It's close to home and clean. The equipment is nice and with the new squat rack the equipment is more advanced. I know a lot of the members and enjoy working out here in the friendly neighborhood gym. Everybody Fitness is my favorite gym! I love that they are 24/7. The one in Troy is a very safe location for all hours of the day and night. The workers are so welcoming and say Hi every-time I walk in for a workout. The gym is very clean, organized and have hard working employees. I highly recommend working out at this gym.

This gym needs to be honest about their hours. They close early on every single holiday and put up a paper sign that the gym is closed instead of posting online that they have different holiday hours like every other gym does. It’s extremely frustrating to drive to the gym to see some measly paper sign on the door that it’s closed early to everyone INCLUDING MEMBERS.

Contract is for 3 years, which is an outdated billing system. Just be ready and u derstand. This is the only downside to this chain.

All the negative reviews are for billing. Shoot them an email and they might work with you on case by case.

What a nightmare!

Many pieces of gym equipment were worn out and broken at the initial opening week. The locker rooms were designed with MINIMAL privacy with the shortest corner hallway separating you from the main gym. I've had the other gender walk in on me undressing twice because they didn't realize it was the wrong room until they took all of 3 steps inside the locker room from the gym floor. The tanning booth rooms were regularly locked up and inaccessible because some patrons were urinating in there. Apparently the sauna and tanning rooms were "privileges not rights" of the members and management could revoke that privilege at any time. This gym was constantly full of loud and reckless teens running around unchecked.

The worst of it:

Billing... We signed up for a 3 year contract prior to the gym opening. After two years we moved out of state. I emailed the gym manager explaining the move so we could cancel our membership. The gym has NOTHING to do with cancellations. You have to contact their billing department, Rise Financial. I emailed Rise and they requested proof of our move. I sent them closing docs from the sale of our home, a signed lease agreement, utility bills, and updated paystubs from my new job that I relocated for. NONE of it was good enough for them. I provided a 30 day notice as per the contract from the date I submitted the cancellation request and provided proof of moving. They refused to cancel my membership and continued to charge my card on file. I attempted contacting them on multiple occassions to see if we could resolve any issues because it seemed like an accounting error on their end. They told me they never received any proof of moving docs. After being charged for an additional two months I disputed the charges on my credit card and called them again. They told me they now could not cancel my membership because I disputed the charges and they would not address any changes to accounts during a credit card dispute. The credit card dispute took 3 months, which they continued to bill me for PLUS LATE FEES. They told me it was my fault for disputing the charge for the month AFTER my membership was supposed to have been cancelled. I contacted the billing department again and they stated they didn't cancel my membership because they didn't receive my proof of moving docs. I forwarded them the original email I sent them along with their initial response and they pretended it went to their spam and they missed it - but still justified charging me membership fees and late fees knowing that they received what they requested for the cancellation. And they said they will continue to bill me until the credit card dispute is resolved. They would call me almost daily just to see if I would give up and just pay their late fees. Rise Financial ended up "waiving" my late fees and settled on charging me two additional months of membership fees instead of the 4 months plus late fees to avoid sending me to collections for their own internal errors.

Rise Financial is a company of crooks. Shame on Everybody Fitness for doing business with a company like this. I will never return to a gym that justifies servicing and treating their members like this through their third party venders. Please do better and consider a change in who you do business with.

I signed up before they opened because I was so excited for a new gym coming to Troy. I signed up online due to the fact that the building wasn’t obviously ready. No where online does it talk ANYTHING about ANY type of a yearly contract. I read through everything to make sure. After about two years of going, I decided to cancel my membership as I was still going to planet fitness due to the crowded machines and at that time wasn’t open 24/7. I called to cancel and the lady said I had to come up with a reason because I was under contract. I asked how long and she said until March 2024. So when March came around, I called to cancel and they said I had until January 2025. When I questioned it, she hung up on me. I immediately called back and no one answered. I left a message and recieved nothing back. I had since realized that what they were billing me since has been WILDLY inconsistent. I had $13 charges one week and the next WEEK it would be $26 and then I was charged 3 days later for $46 and I was sick of it. Every time I called, nobody could give me an answer for what the charges were or the reasoning behind it. At that point I wanted to cancel my membership for the HORRIBLE customer service and inconsistent information. I called again last Friday and got hung up on 3 separate times and went in person to Troy location where the manager I’m assuming told me I would have to call and I said well if I call is someone going to actually help me? Because the hoops you have to go through is insane. And she just looked at me and told me I should try again to call. I left and called and the lady told me my membership was now due to expire in March of 2026. A different lie. I ended up buying out of my contract thankfully which is probably cheaper in the long run due to the inconsistent and random charges for MONTHS. go to any other local gym to avoid the headache and lies that will just be told to you to just get your money.

Very clean! The atmosphere is great. Best step and sculpt instructor. The only negative that I can add is not enough air flow and gets very hot in the group room while working out. 2 floor fans is all we have. Maybe adding a few ceiling fans would be very helpful. With it being cold, warm or hot outside, it gets to be unbearable for some people. It would be greatly appreciated if you would consider ceiling fans for the group room.

Do not go here!!! When you tell them that you are canceling because you're moving, they will lie and ignore you and when you ask questions they get rude with you. They will keep billing you and not tell you. Then they will send you to collections to a guy that has an attitude problem that will threaten to take you to court no matter what amount which is just a fear tactic just to get you to pay. Horrible experience!!! I hope the supposed business fails for what they are doing to people. Class action suit needs to happen.

DO NOT GO HERE ! I’ve been to multiple gyms this place is a scam . Did not tell me I was signing a 3 year contract . I tried to get out of it the 2nd year and they wouldn’t let me . I stopped paying and they sent me to collections . The collection agency they use called me a month after it has been in collections threatening me with an attorney saying I’ll have $2000 in court fees if I didn’t pay in full and that everybody fitness was suing me . I asked if I could pay in payments through their website he said “Nope it’s too late it’s in the attorneys hands now unless you pay in full today” and may I say he was so rude and would not let me get a word in. I fully understand I signed the contract because I did not read the fine print but who actually sits there for an hour and reads all of that? I did not think to ask about a contract because I had never heard of a gym having one. Also the gym is so small and over crowded and you cannot workout in the large open part if they have a class which is 5:30pm during the weekdays when I would go and the side with the machines is so packed you can’t use anything . That is why I stopped going and wanted out .

I can't get over the fact that they can't pay for commercial free radio. They are BLASTING minutes of commercials during my work out, I have noice cancelling headphones and it's still infuriating. Pandora is $10 a month. I'll change my review to 5 star when you upgrade :)

Being a member of EveryBody Fitness at Troy, Ohio has been the worst experience I've had. I moved out of state so I had to cancel my membership. Even if you have a valid reason to cancel it hey do everything possible not to approve the cancelation and even after they still keep making unfair charges. When you call they treat so bad. Do not go here! They will sucker you into a 3 year contract. The amenities are ok at best and if you plan on sticking it out in the long haul then it might be worth the motivation. If you plan on quitting then your basically stuck in it for the long haul with no way out unless you pay your contract in full.

Everything u need for a full body workout. The staff is amazing and considerate of everyone and everything around them. Yes some people u may not see wipe down the machines but 97.6% of them do to keep that place clean and neat. Read the fine print very carefully. We were members for a couple of years with no issues. We recently sold our house and moved out of the area Everybody Fitness has made it nearly impossible to cancel our membership. They have requested numerous documents as proof of our move. After provide various documents (bills with new address, job contract, etc.) they indicated the documents were not good enough because they were in my name and not my wife's name who is the primary Everybody Fitness account holder. Going on 4 months of paying for a gym membership that is 2+ hours away. It's getting ridiculous. After all this I recommend looking to another gym.

I've been to many gyms but everybody fitness in Troy is a cut about the rest. The staff is extremely helpful and the facility is insanely clean. Everybody is very easy to work out with and there's never a wait to get on most of the machines and racks. Giant stretch and core area, sauna, tanning and even a day care. If you are in the area or any area where there is an Everybody fitness just cancel and come here. I promise you and your fitness will not regret it.

Facilities are small, cramped, and unsanitary. They have a very limited amount of machines and you’re lucky to get anything near the mirror. I started my membership because they were a new gym and offered childcare but there are so many people there during the childcare hours and space is so limited that it’s nearly impossible to use any of the machines. They make you sign a 36 month contract (probably because they wouldn’t retain any customers if they didn’t) and it’s impossible to get out of. Save your time and money and go to planet fitness. It’s cheaper, the facilities are far superior, and there is no hassle cancelation.

Recently my girlfriend called in to cancel her membership, because she moved, which for any membership should be as simple as a cancel button, or possibly even paying for the amount of days in the month that she had the subscription. She was sent to a billing department where they told her she needs to have two verifications that she moved to a new address or be on the lease or some sort of paperwork. We asked why, and they provided the excuse that they discuss this on the paperwork they hand you when you sign up, which they didn’t. Now she needs to wait until for some reason she’s get mail delivered to our new address, which has to be of a particular type. This place is a scam for people who are new to working out and aren’t certain on where they want to go. Go to the ymca or literally anywhere else.

I just got off the phone with one of their representatives to discuss my son enlisting in the Coast Guard and what I need to do to cancel his membership. She informed me that I would have to give her all his paperwork of when, where, and how long, and then she would decide if it would be canceled. She was beyond rude about the situation.

What's more, this is on private property in a business area. I was later told by a coworker he had caught two people canvassing the lot who ran away to a car waiting on the road. I want everyone to be aware so that what's happening to me and my family doesn't happen to you as well. We had decided to make some lifestyle changes to begin getting healthier together and thought a gym membership would be a great thing especially after the man who helped sign me all up reached out to the owner who okay'd me signing my 9 year old daughter up with me as well but now i can see just why he was so eager. We didn't use the membership as much as we thought we would and its a bit of a drive for us as we don't have an actual gym located in our town and must drive over a town to get to one. So I called the gym to cancel our memberships AND WAS TOLD ITS A 3 YEAR CONTRACT AND THAT I MUST BUY OUT ME AND MY 9 YEAR OLD DAUGHTERS. I ouldnt believe it !!!! When I explained to them I was not informed it was a 3 year contract or I would not have gotten the gym membership considering I was new to gyms myself and merely trying it out let alone I WOULD NEVER have SIGNED MY DAUGHTER UP FOR SOMETHING LIKE THAT they started telling me I would have to move and be at least 25 miles from a gym location for it to be annulled or again buy out our memberships for terminating early. There are all kinds of gyms that are great and I thought this was one of them but they will say and do whatever to get a new member and I don't want this happening to another family. Had they been upfront and honest we would have NEVER GOT A MEMBERSHIP HERE but rather found another gym, when your new to something and just trying it out for first time and a child's involved who I'm sure other parents can relate never know whether something will stick or not because there just discovering there likes and dislikes YOU WOULDNT SIGN A 3 YEAR CONTRACT!! After speaking to some family they've advised we seek some help in the matter so please be aware and BEWARE of there tactics. If you want a gym thats getting over on people or where if you'd have an emergency or run into financial problems or family's schedule change ect ect and you couldn't do anything about your gym membership this is the one for you. Amanda is wonderful! She helped my now husband and I get a week long pass while we were visiting to get married. I especially liked that the gym had a sauna and a turf area. Those are not things you expect to find in a small town like Troy! I plan to always use Everybody fitness Troy when I visit family!
