Global is such an amazing gym, it was the start of my fitness journey and has continued to be my favorite gym for years, unfortunately due to some personal reasons I havent been going nearly as much as I'd like to. Me and my dad used to go here in the mornings before work when we first got our memberships. But then we took a break and I just got a membership here again this past year. The morning staff are absolutely amazing and very very friendly, most of the morning groups are also fairly friendly and social, and willing to help you out if you ask! The evening staff are okay, theyre not overly social, but theyre still kind and helpful when you need them, and theyre great at their job, they do seem a bit more introverted, but never once have they been rude to me or anyone I know who goes here! Global is also one of the most affordable and reliable gyms ive gone too, for their prices they have amazing equipment and the size of the gym is very nice, nothings too close or cramped, but it also not so big you cant figure out where anything is when you first start. Overall the community, the owner (who i dont know first hand but have heard a lot about), the staff, and the overall atmosphere is great and welcoming. I would recommend this gym for new lifters, experienced lifters, or just anyone looking to get in shape.

great gym but we’ve been in about 20 times since we got our membership and there’s only 1 staff member that ever gives us a smile or a hi, the rest kinda just stare at u as if ur like trespassing by existing near them or something lmao. also boys room has sauna but girls doesn’t for some reason. otherwise great place with quality machines/equipment, kept very clean, locker rooms are well maintained, and staff have not went out of their way to be rude they just seem upset/bothered all the time lol, so would still suggest getting a membership here :)

How ridiculous is it that anytime you call for personal training no one calls you back? Makes me not even want to get a membership. This area of the world is slow with everything. There’s no drive, happiness, motivation, or pleasant people. I’ve gone to several gyms looking for a trainer with no luck. I hate that I made the move up here. It’s been a miserable 3 years for sure.

I go to the gym at Global and it’s friendly and usually busy but not to the point that your machines are taken up. My girl and I are in our 50’s and we are not going to go all out, but we go daily and enjoy our time there. I am actually in route atm…see you there.

I've been trying to get my fitness back on track. So I'm going to my gym during the current posted hours. I like that this gym is closer to my residence and away from the mall. I hated going to my gym when it was in the mall area during the holiday season. It increased my annoyance from the crazy traffic to and from the place. This gym has more variety of machines and even some different machines which were new to me. They take good maintenance them and even if a machine is broken, there's multiple others that can be used instead.

Global health is a really good gym, I wish they were closer to my house though. I went for a week and I was very satisfied with my workouts because they have a lot more machines than where I usually workout at. I only go once in a while now because I spent a lot of money on gas the first week I went. Other than that, HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOING THERE.

I’ve called in before to cancel my membership and today I got billed for some kind of maintenance package,after I called prior to cancel. the dude on the phone wouldn’t shut up and let me talk, so when I told him to shut up and let me talk he hung up on me. Great customer service as usual. Will be contacting my bank in the AM to dispute this charge when I’ve canceled months ago. I definitely didn’t block your number. Here for work and the gym on the military base isnt too good. This gym was recommended by a friend and im glad i went!! Very large workout areas and not too crowded at all. Tanning beds were also very clean and the staff was very helpful. I would give 5* but the dumbells are a little worn and unorganized.

I paid for two years of membership in cash in August of 2019, under the pretense I would receive two years of 24 hr access, as the big red banner out front clearly states. I primarily work out in the evening, which is why I needed a 24hr gym. However, in Jan 2020, they restricted their hours, removed daycare, and limited classes due to Covid. Which was fine then, however two years later, and they close at 10( earlier on weekends and fridays), and do not have daycare, despite still marketing themselves as such. It’s false advertising, and they are uncooperative on any such discounts or refunds, when their shady advertising is what makes most people get a membership anyway. It’s fine if you aren’t 24 hr, just don’t advertise to unknowing people that you are, and then make them proceed to pay for your “ 24 hr service” when you fail to even operate for half the amount of hours a day you advertise

The staff is so nice. Equipment I know how to use; some old; Some newer. Lots of options. Gym is roomy and clean.
There is a side for the muscle heads (male & female) and I say that respectfully. Side with lots of machines and a great selection of cardio machines. A ladies room. Clean bathrooms.

3/1/2018. Up until 3 days ago, I would have definitely recommend Global Fitness. I was referred there by a friend & recommended it to lots of people. I was approached on Monday by a man who works in the morning (Charles). He has always been respectful & polite to me. He asked me about renewing my membership which is not expired until March 26. I told him that I didn’t have the money that day & would renew when my current membership was up. Of course, they always want to offer you a “deal” that’s only good for that day. I had been called & texted by another staff member in the previous weeks, which has happened every time the membership is due to expire. It borders on harassment. They’re very pushy. But, they had always given a great price. So, I always renewed. Charles told Bill that I wanted to pay what I had always paid before when I renewed. But, instead of talking to me like I’m a human being, Bill starts sending me extremely rude text messages. I will never go back in there & I regret buying my son a membership there as a Christmas gift. Bill is probably one of the rudest men I have ever met. I can’t believe a business owner would treat a customer like he did. Lots of people in there complained to me about his attitude & how filthy the place was. But, I just kept my mouth shut. Bill definitely showed his true colors to me. If you’re looking for a gym, don’t throw your money away by going to Global. Melinda McQuaide

This is BY FAR the most sales driven gym I've ever belonged to (even more so than the Nation wide chain gyms). You better change your phone number if you ever leave this gym!

Nothing special here. I see a lot of posts about a family experience I would like to say that was never anything I experienced. Not once was I ever even talked to by staff other than walking in or out and catching meaningless small talk.

The really annoying part that drove me to finally post a review; they're 100% money focused. The fact that years later, after I told several employees numerous not to contact me, they still seem to text me and ask me to renew membership. Just further drives away the any remnant of feeling like I belonged to a gym or more importantly any sort of family here. I was a number, and I was a sales mark.

Showers were never hot. Average gym. I called and cancelled my membership which I had already prepaid for the year because I moved out of the area. Over a year later they tried to collect "auto-renew" membership fees via a collection agency after I hadn't been there for 18 months. Waste of my time. The truth - I belong to this gym because I won a free certificate for a year, and I just can't justify paying for one when I have a free membership.

The good:
- There are a variety of classes.
- This happens to be the closest gym to me.

The bad:
- The facilities are worn down, especially the aerobics room. Since I started my free membership last year, the floor in the room has been HORRIBLE. There are several dips in the floor that are just downright dangerous. Quite a few people that I know there have mentioned tripping because of it. Just now (in February), they are replacing it. Also, the sound system in the aerobics room is very old and the speakers are blown out. For classes like Zumba and Cardio Dance, the experience is very frustrating as everything is supposed to be rhythmic. Plus, if you're a music buff, hearing horrible quality songs is just annoying.
- The staff is not knowledgeable of what's going on in the gym. There have been SO many times when I've called or stopped at the desk to ask a question, and the person there gives me the wrong answer or just doesn't know. Tonight I called and had to let their check-in attendant know that their Facebook page said that there's Zumba tomorrow. He thought they weren't resuming classes until Monday.
- This is just a personal pet peeve, but their signs and Facebook posts have horrible grammar. I mean, in a ten sentence announcement, 15+ errors.
- They have called/texted and harassed my friend, accusing her of using their facilities without a membership when she had just renewed a few days prior. Clearly their records aren't up to date.

Needless to say, if you get a free membership, you shouldn't pay for another gym membership unless you can afford that. Otherwise, unless it's the closest and most convenient gym for you, find somewhere else.

I hate this place! They are wrong for what they did! They played with my new debit card until they got the number right and took more then my payment off my card! I had to open a fraud case with my bank cause the bank seen that they continued to play with my account til getting it right. I called them just to be laughed at and hung up on by their employees... If you love all the equipment, treadmills, etc, its A+. Even though Ive personally never had a problem with Long Waits at any Gym Ive ever been to. Global Fitness and its equipment are newer so theres not going to be several things Out Of Order like other Gyms in this area

Another A+ grade for Global Fitness goes to the amount of Exercise Classes they offer and the Quality of Daycare for the little ones

Yet another A+ is for being open far into the Early Morning on Weekdays. You could have the Gym almost to yourself at 1 AM

Theres a Couple Downsides to Global Fitness though:

I have had different experiences with the staff (including the owner Bill). Sometimes they were great and helpful and sometimes they all were complete you-know-what. It goes Day by Day I suppose. I hear the same stories about why that happens from Former Global employees but this isnt the place to elaborate on that.

Global Fitness is run much more like a Business than any Gym Ive ever been to (including the million Phone Calls to Renew when your Membership is about to expire. Is this really a Telemarketing Company??)

My fellow Gym Rats who go there in the Morning are always great, friendly, and easy to talk to BUT in the evenings, it can often become like a Saturday night Bar type environment with all the Younger people (if you catch my drift). Im not trying to knock Global Fitness by saying all of this but truthfully--the Howland Police show up a lot at Global Fitness, WAY too often for a Fitness Center (so just be advised who you start Socializing with at certain times of the day).
