First what an amazing place. All of the equipment was in pristine working condition. The place was super clean and smelled great. However, I've never been here before and just walked in on the back of a member. There was no staff here, but I worked out anyway. I have no idea what your policy is on a day pass, but please reach out with a reply and I'm happy to pay for the workout

Go MAD - so very much positive to write. The Silver Sneakers membership is very inviting, but the monthly rate can't be beat. Open 24 hours? Go Mad has that. Classes? Check. Ample aerobic equipment - always available. The cables are top notch, and the stretching area features a large mirror for form-checking and various and sundry workout possibilities. The temperature is kept comfortable summer and winter, and the lighting just invites an intense, rewarding workout. Oh, and the locker rooms are kept clean and available.

This place is a joke. I specifically requested a month-to-month membership, but they set me on a year-long contract instead. When I tried to cancel, I was charged a $100 buyout fee. The staff member who initially helped me was a new hire and is no longer with the company, which is telling. I admit I should’ve read the fine print, but realistically, who actually does? I trusted them to set up the membership I requested, and now I’m stuck paying for their employee’s mistake. On top of that, the gym is small with only basic equipment. I would recommend planet fitness over them.

I love this gym and have been a member for a long amount of time, so it's very unsettling to have to write about one of their employees/personal trainers Diana.

I was working out recently in the facility in one of their areas and Diana decided to sit physically on top of my gym bag and other items while training one of her clients, my items were already there before she moved over to the area where I was working out at, I watched from afar her sit on my items for multiple minutes while she trained her client and when I proceeded to grab my things, I politely told her "Excuse me" and her rude response was "No, excuse me." and still proceeded to ignore the fact that she was on my items as if my things weren't there before she decided to sit down, Diana's attitude was not only dismissive but very rude as I tried to grab my items from around her. It was a very disheartening situation to be in because I'd never had any prior problems with the Go M.A.D staff before this incident.

In all, I would not recommend anyone to train with Diana and hope that this does not happen to any gym-goer in the future. Her non-remorseful demeanor and attitude changed my view of this gym, one that I once spoke so highly of and recommended to my friends and family. There is no excuse for how she behaved to me a member, let alone represented herself as a team member of this gym.

Great environment to help achieve a healthy lifestyle while also having access to great equipment! Trainers are available if you’re a beginner and don’t know where to start or if you have questions around an over all workout options. This gym is staffed during the week until the evenings so staff can help out around any needs that a member may have. Management has an open door policy for any suggestions a gym goer may have. With an excellent atmosphere, great equipment, knowledgeable trainers and staff, and high expectations around cleanliness from management is a piece of why this gym gets a 5 star rating from me! Let me just start out by saying that there is a lot of really solid, nice, great people that train at this gym lots of great people and have I come to make some solid relationships here, with that out of the way let me get to the point… I walked in a few days ago and was greeted with a “can you not slam the weight” I respectfully replied to you with “that wasn’t me” the reason why this irritates me so much is because you saw who did it and you choice not to talk to that individual for whatever reason instead you choice to come out me and blame me instead when you know it was in fact “not me” that’s why I’m writing this because of your unprofessionalism and the fact that you figured I would just continue to come back, not saying this for brownie points but I have fixed multiple pieces of equipment in this gym during my workout out of the kindness of my heart and so that other gym goers can use items/machines without waiting forever for them to be repaired… I never told anyone, asked for anything, nothing… so unfortunately I will not be returning to “go mad” any further so congratulations Laurie you lost yourself a member at least you have some good staff they do a great job unlike yourself… I’ve been nothing but respectful of the gym my entire time here, I put weights back, clean the machine, respect everybody the same, free comedy… and btw you have cameras so check who actually slammed the weight instead just blaming me when you know it wasn’t me… or where you hoping I talked to a certain someone for you ahhh tada!

Gym itself is alright, standard equipment, but the process for cancelling your membership is notoriously downright malicious, expect to pay 25 to 50+ dollars just to cancel your membership (which must be in the store, convenient for the gym there is no online function or over the phone for cancelling your membership). If you live a good distance from this gym, it's not worth it. There are other gyms with more equipment, that are much cheaper, and with much better customer service. The business model is shady at best, Would rather go to planet fitness then spend 60 dollars just to purchase a standard membership. Heed my advice and stay away or cancel sooner rather than later.

I recently had an extremely unpleasant experience with Go Mad Fitness. Upon trying to cancel my membership I discovered that they had forged my signature to renew a contract without my knowledge or consent. This kind of unethical behavior is unacceptable and demonstrates a complete disregard for their customers' rights.
When I confronted the Go Mad Fitness management about this issue, they were unhelpful and dismissive, refusing to take responsibility for their actions. Their lack of transparency and accountability only worsened the situation.
As a result, I strongly advise potential customers to exercise caution when considering a membership with Go Mad Fitness. The forgery of signatures raises serious concerns about the gym's integrity and business practices. It is disheartening to see a fitness establishment resorting to such dishonest tactics to retain customers.
I urge anyone considering joining this gym to thoroughly review all documents, contracts, and agreements before signing anything. Be vigilant and make sure you are fully aware of your rights and obligations. It is regrettable that a place that should promote health and well-being would engage in such deceitful practices.

I like the leg equipment and I wanted to see about getting a free pass for a week so that I could do my one body part a day routine but no one was at the counter when I was done so I left but I loved how quiet and empty it was at the time when I was there and hopefully I'll get a chance to try the other equipment and make my decision on whether to join or not

Won't let you leave your contract fairly! I loved this gym up until now. My husband got a new job 2.5 hours away when I tried to cancel my membership because I literally can't use it anymore they told me I need to give a 30 day notice so I needed to pay for another month. I asked to talk to a manager and they were working out so I needed to come back another day. Well again, I now live w.5 hours away so the next time I was able to come back was 2 weeks later. They wouldn't even let me cancel over the phone. When I was able to come back it was the second of the month and the manager not only told me I still had to pay for the time I wasn't going to be here, I also had to pay another month later cuz it was the second. This is ridiculous and they need to have a moving policy.

Good gym, all the necessary equipment to get a full body workout. Bathrooms and showers are nice. Green area to push sleds, pull/throw ropes, flip tires and, freestyle etc. All the equipment is modern and efficient. Free weight section is legit. My biggest and only gripe is how I couldn't cancel conveniently. I had moved out of the area and there was NO way to cancel without physically coming into the place. That is so ridiculous. They even said I could have someone (friend/family/anyone) come in and cancel. There is literally no actual reason for this except to keep me on the chain for my monthly cash despite not using the gym. This was so frustrating and it felt shady because it is. Tell me why cancelling over the phone, via email, or through the website isn't possible. This sealed the deal for me to ever go back.

The gym has a constant beeping within the facility.. This has been a constant for the 4 months I’ve been going here… the music is turned up to cover it up, minimal effort has been taken to find the root cause of the beeping. It drives me crazy, as someone who notices things like that, sounds like someone’s watch timer is always going off.

Corners and detailed areas are not cleaned.

Other than that, love 24 hour access and decent amount of equipment. Love the hydro massage beds.

Today Saturday December 25th around 1:00 I witnessed someone running on a treadmill and sweating so much it created a puddle on the floor. Then they moved to another treadmill next to that one and did the same thing. When he finished, neither of the treadmills were wiped down!!! What is wrong with you!!! Your lucky I didn’t catch you leaving because someone needs to confront you.
So, with people like that and the gym never being cleaned, towels that are soaked, it’s no wonder people try to find another gym to go to.
I would too, but I still go because of the location and because it’s 24 hours.

I love the gym but this place needs new management. It’s constantly dirty, needs a vacuum, and the walls and mirrors look like they never get property cleaned. The workers who close don’t do much to pick up the place before they leave, equipment is everywhere in the morning. Equipment is constantly broken and there is a gap in the rubber flooring that management is aware of and said they were “working on” getting fixed (that was about 3 months ago and nothing as been done). The squat racks aren’t centered to the mirrors so you are only able to see yourself in one of them then you use it.
I don’t think members should have to deal with things like this considering they are paying to be here. Even former employees have said that this is is not as important to the owner as the 2 they have in Monroe so sad

Super great place to workout and the staff is phenomenal and they have a sauna that is great and the a water jet massage chairs feel so good after a workout and I haven't had the smoothies they have here but from what I heard they are amazing I would say if you want a fun great gym to workout at this is the place to be plus they are open 24/7 so you can leave or come back or maybe just wake up in the middle of the night and get a good sweat on lol .

Beware of hidden fees and billing practices. Purchasing a annual membership is basically a long term billing trap. Additional periodic account services charges are not disclosed at account opening. Copies of membership agreement are not provided when signing up or when requested. Without any prior notice I received a past due balance invoice stating I was 60 days late incurring late fees and finance charges and was going to be sent to collections if I didn't pay my "account service fees" which I had no knowledge of being charged. Was told if I cancel my membership early before my annual term expires it is a $100 fee plus additional applicable charges, even though I've already paid in full for the annual membership. Was also told membership auto rolls over into a monthly plan after annual membership term lapses and would be subject to further membership charges along with account and cancellation fees, If I do choose to cancel after annual term.

Well I go into mad fitness in January to check out a new gym I told them I only wanted to pay by month to check it out.so they charged me extra for my down payment which was ridiculously high and charge me extra monthly payments .then when I go to cancel my membership today saying February will be my last month they charge a hidden “30 day notice” fee making me pay for March on the spot saying if I don’t they send me to collections .not happy with the customer service at all .i paid month to month for this reason.

I have been a member for a little more than a year. Since the start there have been a decline in quality when it comes to cleanliness and consideration of members. I will not post pictures today but next week if the situation has not changed then I will post each week it is the same. It has been 32 days since I have taken notice that the mens locker room has not be properly cleaned.

1.The floor is a tile floor which you would think would make it easy to pour bleach or whatever get a scrub broom and clean it. You can see the high traffic area becoming dirtier by the week.

2. The sinks have not been cleaned well there is a slimy grey substance forming in them.

3. There is water that is dripping from the ceiling over the paper towel dispenser, the water sits on the ground and is turning black.

4. The sauna I know for a fact has not been cleaned this since June 1. There is dried on who knows what on sitting area and the floor. And though the gym is 24hrs the sauna is not... [which they fail to mention when you sign up.]

5. The shower clogs up and there is a urine smell when you shower, the floor around and in the showers - as well as the curtains need a thorough cleaning.

Stay tuned next week for photos. Hopefully the manager will take care of it if the problem becomes public.

The spin room-
The spin room is rarely, if ever, open for members...I have been given so many excuses as to why they are not available but if I'm paying to use the gym and all of the amenities and machines that come with it then why are those off limits?
there is a calendar with spin times that are TBA and on the chance there is an instructor you will never know. The majority of the time there is no spin instructor. Again, next week I will post a pic for validation. Wanted to give them time to make the necessary adjustments.

On a good note, the weight area is kept very tidy, little to no dust, and machines are kept clean. I have been here at all times of the day and it's never been so busy I cant get a good lift.

As of now the owner has not shown himself to be trust worthy enough to take him at his word.

SUPER Clean with plenty of room and selection of weights and equipment. A nice bonus is that, EVERYTHING is brand new here. The staff is friendly and seem to be helpful, including the owner who is often in greeting people and assuring things are moving in a great direction.

I love the fact that it is locally owned as I prefer to give my business to the community over large chains where you're just a number. I'm excited for GoMad to be here in Toledo and I look forward to seeing them prosper and continue to provide a great place for Toledo to go in order to get fit and healthy.

I was a member for around a year and when It came time for me to cancel my membership I found out I had to cancel my membership a 1/2 and month advance. So I paid an extra month because they said they couldn't fix the problem because it was automatic billing when I tried to cancel it 10 days before the next month they said I had to pay for the next month regardless. Scummy business practice to make extra money of the customer don't expect to find ethical management.
