My grandson has been swimming at the Richmond Rd location since he was 4. He started off scared to put his head in the water. Thanks to all the patient swim teachers. He is now a pro 2 swimmer. Thanks goldfish!! You guys are awesome teachers.

At first I wasn't sure if I would do a review or not but I couldn't let go of how things unfolded yesterday with Goldfish and Chris. Chris told me and my son's mom that they would no longer be able to have our autistic son at there swim school. This totally caught us off guard and hurt us. So when the question was asked why was this the case we were told our son is not a good fit for goldfish and goldfish is not a good fit for our son. So we were confused as to where did this come from and I asked the question " did this have anything to do with the conversation that I had with Adam (general manager) back in July and he said yes. I said we discussed our frustration and thought we had moved on. We were frustrated because we've watched our son for the last 5-6 years progress go up and down and back and forth depending on the instructors they had, and because we would advocate for our son we were made to look like problem parents. It's unfortunate that there's not many options for swim lessons for kids with a disability or on the spec but the way Chris treated us for advocating for our son was unbelievable. But we'll never stop advocating for our son because we're all he has. Hopefully this will reach someone that care. Well obviously this didn't get to the owners and anyone that cared. This is a continuation of my review after Adam pretended to be the owner. Which is BS. You took 5-6 years worth of money and that's all Goldfish is about, money. You claim to be an inclusive swim program but that's not completely true. An inclusive swim program ensures Everyone, including people with disabilities or sensory challenges, can learn to swim and be safe in water in an supportive and adaptive environment. Inclusive program use specialized instructor training. Obviously your program at goldfish forgot some of that and you hired kids from highschool with bare minimum training and understanding of kids with disabilities. And you weren't very supportive at all because the only thing Goldfish supported was making sure they got that money. Those children in goldfish are nothing but dollar signs. Very few workers there care anything about those kids, that's why the huge turnover rate. So Adam don't think parents are stupid or shouldn't voice our concerns. Just do the math. How much for swim lessons times the number kids in each class at a specific time. 10 lanes x 3 student per lane (average number of kids) at 11 am x $720 ( for 2 back to school packages) = $21,600 at just 11am. Now multiple that for every half hour stating at 9am until 1pm. $21,600 x 8 half hour session roughly,=$172,000. Now remember that's over a period of weeks because a package can cover a period of time as in weeks and a a number sessions too. That's just a rough estimate.

There are families who get free lessons and we were never even offered free lessons. My child worked hard for weeks and was never moved up. However other students get moved up. Furthermore the 4:1 ratio was okay until 1 kid cried every week and it took away time from the other 3 kids including mines from getting a turn.

I generally like the idea of Goldfish Swim School. However, I donβt appreciate some of the business practices. I donβt like autopay (I like cash transactions) and a 30 day notification of cancellation. I also donβt appreciate that you canβt reschedule a makeup. Even though you pay per lesson if you have to miss one itβs a hassle to schedule a makeup. And if you need to reschedule the makeup too bad, $30 lost (per kid so $60 for me). Thatβs a lot of money to miss. Also the showers arenβt always warm and there are no private showers. In addition to these hassles there are other restrictions. I already donβt like spending money but when I do (and this isnβt a small amount of money) I donβt want to be further inconvenienced. Honestly if you invested and reinvested the dividends thatβd be spent here annually (especially if you have multiple kids like I do) in a matter of a year or two you could buy your own pool and swim with your kids (also not an option here as far as I can tell). Bottom line if you like outsourcing go for it. If you donβt, well, there arenβt many other options.

The very first time we went they made us feel right at home with the free trial. I think that is such a great idea for them to warm up to the child and the child to warm up to a instructor. My daughter had bever been to swim lessons and they made her feel safe. We will sign up and I'll leave another review then.

Customer service is horrible. A staff member by the name of Inez is one of the rudest employees Iβve ever encountered. Her passive aggressive behavior is completely unacceptable. I feel that customer service is supposed to go both ways and when accountability and responsibility lacks on the end of the staff that begins to reflect on the company. Being knowledgeable about how to approach a customer and especially about how your system works without being rude, disrespectful and insensitive matters more to a companies productivity. Please get staff thatβs well trained on customer service/satisfaction and are able to handle customer calls properly. This should be concerning to the company as a whole.

We've been with Goldfish since May and so far have had a really great experience! My kids are older and just learning to swim and they were the only place we called that wasn't rude/judgmental about me having older kids that didn't know how to swim. That really helped me feel comfortable and encouraged that it would be a good environment.
Their instructors have all been great with my kids and I feel like they learn quite a bit during each lesson. I also really like that they take safety so seriously. There are lifeguards, extra staff, and the swim instructors all keeping an eye on the kids during their lessons. It's also easy to schedule an absence for a lesson on their online portal and their staff has been super helpful with helping to reschedule as needed. Overall we are very pleased with Goldfish!

I am not sure if the pumps are working or not but the water is a bit cloudy here and my little one gets sick after every class. The management can use a bit more training on how to professionally run a business. The prices go up every year about $10-$15. The company policy conveniently unenrolled my child at the end of the month without speaking with me and claiming to have called but did not leave a voicemail. Since she was unenrolled at the end of the month, they can't give me my money back because of "company policy." Your money is better off elsewhere

The idea of the setup is really cute and business-wise very financially smart on their part, a lot of people in and out quickly and groups segregated in small portions of the pool. Unfortunately it was extremely busy and very VERY loud when we went. Students had a hard time hearing anything being instructed. I am not sure if it was just a combination of the covid shields and the amount of people with the student -teacher ratio increase. Lots of sitting and waiting to swim. Overall very cute idea but not very personal

Iβm giving this a 1 star rating particularly because of Sari. She is rude and terrible at management. I have found that she has a continuous disrespectful attitude. In addition to that when I first signed up the classes were $88 with a 1:3 ratio meaning 1 teacher to 3 swimmers. I have ask how much individual classes were as was told they were $288 and that price reflected the cost of 3 collective students to make up for the cost of only having one swimmer. About a month ago they upped the price to $94 which I wasnβt upset about. But shortly after the price was increased they added a 1:4 student swimmer ratio. So 1 teacher to 4 students. Now what was already close to being packed now is. I asked Sari in particular that if there was a student increase as well as price of the price would drop. Due to the explanation I had received before about the price of one student cost being the collective of 3 students. She said no. My daughter was at Pro 1 at the time and pretty much knows how to swim properly. But the biggest problem I have is with the facility being over crowded in the seating area and over crowded in the swimming lanes. The students are not able to get through the lessons properly and they have 2 students going in the water at one time so it is quite messy in the swimming lanes cause congestion. But what I will say is that aside from Sari that I find rude and disrespectful the other staff is quite pleasant. I would not recommend going here. Children are treated more like cattle than actual students. I would recommend finding an alternative place for your kids to learn swimming. My daughter pointed out to me at the last lesson that as we were leaving that Sari rolled her eyes at my child. As I was outside of the door my daughter told me. At which point I walked in and requested Sariβs and which she told me. I though it was important to point out the disrespect she showed to a child as well as their parent.
