Hello, I'd like to register my two children, one aged 2 and one aged 4, but I haven't been able to get in touch because I don't speak English, only Spanish. I'd like more information. Thank you very much.

My 18 month old loves her swim lessons. Her instructor is amazing with the kids and remembers all their names. Itβs a quick lesson with a combination of skills and fun activities so the kids learn and enjoy themselves. My daughter cries when we have to get out of the pool she loves it so much. Highly recommend goldfish swim school.

Update: I had my original review from 7 years ago when my daughter was only 5 and now our son is almost 4 and goes to Goldfish as well. Needless to say, as a family, we only trusts Goldfish swim school for our kids' swim lessons. We had other options nearby but the first impression and experience we had was hard to beat that we decided to enroll the youngest as well and all his teachers have been amazing. He loves going to class now, thanks to his teacher's ways of teaching and being kid-friendly. Shout out to Kaelynn who does a great job with his classes.

Angel, Misha's teacher is really great. She has been very patient with her, helping building her confidence over time. Last week, she finally swam independently underwater and that was awesome for a parent to see.

I really enjoy taking my son here. The instructors are excellent and they give you a brief recap after every single lesson. A great place for a kid to learn to swim and for parents to keep up with their progress.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
We've been taking my son here for months. He's still on the first level. He's been struggling but for the most part the instructors are great with him.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
The levels are a little long. I feel the kids need to achieve too many things before moving on and frustration is setting it for kids and parents.

Absolutely love this place! My daughter has been taking lessons here for about a year and we have had an amazing experience. The staff have been absolutely great! Yesterday for the first time my daughter had a melt down at the beginning of her lesson. As her instructor found ways to make her feel comfortable to start the lesson two of the deck staff came over to help. One sat with my daughter and the other talked with me (as I was also apprehensive watching my daughter be upset). Together they were able to calm my daughter down and get her actively participating in her lesson.

This place is a waste of money. The Whole30 minutes, she's just sitting there. Not learning The Thing she had 8 classes and still doesn't know how to swim. Yes, the teacher is very nice. But why am I spending a $110 on classes? Where she's not even learning how to swim. Then I go to cancel the classes and sign her up for something else. You gotta give him a 30 day notice that is bull. I'm paying you guys if I want to cancel the classes. I should have the right to cancel them

We love the staff at the Fairview Park Goldfish location. Ms. Laurie and Ms. Lynn are awesome. My kids are always excited to go to swim lessons. We have had many swim instructors that were great. However, Ms. Stephanie and Ms. Hannah have been my children's main instructors, and they are amazing. They bring out the best in their students. They always give feedback, with positive and things that they need to work on. We also enjoy the Family Swim benefit that is provided when you become a member. We love it there!

A waste of money imo. Thereβs no goal setting when you start to determine what the child should be accomplishing. The classes consistently end early and the kids spend a lot of time sitting and watching. Out of the 30 minutes the class lasts he probably actually swims less than 5 min. After 7 weeks he doesnβt know how to tread water. Iβm going to take him and teach him myself.

Goldfish offers a great swim program with teachers who are enthusiastic and clearly enjoy working with children. My kids took 2 months of swim classes elsewhere and had ZERO progress. In only 5 lessons at Goldfish they can go underwater/not hold their nose under, float, starting to swim above and under water and understand safety techniques. I thought Goldfish was too expensive, but now I see you get what you pay for. I'm very happy with their progress!

I brought my daughter here because it's said that you can "Learn at your own pace". So imagine my shock when my daughter comes up to me afterwards telling me that the teacher (Named Abby) told her that she was horrible and that she would tell other students that they were better than her every week for over a month.Leaving my daughter in tears all because she was learning how to swim, in a school where they teach you how to swim. Never acceptable under any circumstance, especially to a child trying her best.
Never recommend to anyone!

When my daughter was a toddler, we brought her to an independently-owned & family-operated swim school and the months of classes there were traumatic for her.
A few years later, at the suggestion of her BFF's parents, we decided to enroll her here even though they wouldn't be in class together.
The patience and encouragement of the staff is remarkable. My daughter went from being unable to swim to enjoying it with confidence! She recently passed a swim test because our neighborhood requires children in the deep end to swim a lap which she crushed and had fun doing it!
This is exceptional and I don't think anybody should expect it: Recently, Lynn saw that my daughter was unsure about a male teacher (her old swim school had a male teacher that'd force her head underwater) so took her into another lane. Thank you so very much!!! We're grateful for you Lynn!
We have a Gold Fish that recently opened and it's 3 minutes away but we drive the 25 minutes to get to this one. The staff is friendly, the facility is well-run, the rooms are clean, the Covid protocol has been solid, and there's plenty of support here. We cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you!

My family loves Goldfish Swim School. The staff is knowledgeable, compassionate, and goes above and beyond to make my children feel welcomed. All of the instructors and staff are super friendly and helpful. My little fish was having a hard time reaching level 2, but they took time to coach him. When he finally completed all the manuevers for Level 1, they roared and cheered for him. He felt so special and proud of himself. This has helped so much with his self esteem. Thanks for all the work you all do for our kids.

The staff are extremely friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. We came in the early afternoon on Sunday after many, many lessons and the staff was still energetic, positive, and engaged. The pool and showers (to rinse) are in a big, enclosed space with 'no more tears' shampoo.
Lessons run every 30 min for the little ones, but people come in and out every 15, depending on the age and lessons. For the smallest, the instructors have little dolls they use to demonstrate what everyone is supposed to do. There is an impressive setup of changing rooms, bathrooms, and even a hair-drying station with a half-dozen blow dryers and vanity mirror for those with longer hair. Some of the restrooms have changing stations, which parents appreciate!
Kids get a little toy/reward and a ribbon after each lesson as just another piece of positive reinforcement for kids who are getting used to swimming and can be afraid of the water at first.
Overall, the place is excellent all around. The only questions you need to ask are: 1) do you want swimming lessons for your little?; And 2) is it in your price range. If the answer is "yes" to both, then don't even waste time shopping around.

This is a clean facility, water is warm. However, itβs been a disappointing experience so far. The major complaint I have is lack of consistence here. For the last one year weβve been here, there was literally no consistence of instructors. We were threw into different instructors almost every other week. I talked to the front desk manager Laura about it and specifically requested to be in Adamβs class because I feel he is the right fit for my child. 2 weeks later, we were instructed to another instructor and more kids in that class without any update or explanations. When I asked, the explanation was β we combined the class due to other reasonsβ.
It would be nice if there was any communication between school and parents.
We decided to discontinue our class here bc of the inconsistency and poor communication.

Classes are very fun for my 17 month old, and she has really improved already in her skills and water tolerance. I can already see how these skills will build on each other so that she can eventually learn to swim, but I also really am thankful for the safety aspect of teaching them the basics of floating, reaching for edge of pool etc.

This swim schools system has been great for my boys, they are learning quickly and the trainers are keeping them focused and engaged. The building is clean and their system is efficient with time. As of the day I am posting here you will need to wear a mask. They have fitting rooms, a coat hanging area, and cubbies for footwear. At the rate that my boys are learning I would not be surprised if they could truely swim, which would be just what I'm hoping for. It may cost a bit more than the rec center but it's well worth it.

I asked about swim lessons in a mom group on Facebook. Goldfish came highly recommended so i decided to give it a try for a trial lessons. Despite all the rave reviews, it wasnβt for us. First and foremost it is very very very chaotic. The environment can be an anxiety trigger if you have a child who is nervous about lessons to begin with. Also, I walked in and was lost, it was my first time and I didnβt know what to do. Every single young girl at the desk looked directly at us and didnβt say a word. I was hoping it would be welcoming as some other reviews mentioned but that was far from the case. First impression was really blown. The instructor was also a very young girl and she seemed overwhelmed. You could tell she was trying to compose herself but was not doing a very good job at it and Iβm positive that the kids felt that energy. Two good things Iβll say is the decor is very cute! And the young lady who gave the βreportβ at the end was very sweet and professional.

Our family absolutely loves goldfish swim school. I cannot say enough good things about this place. We love coming for family swim. You can not beat the price as a fairly large family of 6. Very helpful that they cap off the price at $15. Everything is so clean! The pool itself is always a very nice temperature. All of the pool toys they provide are super cute and fun for little ones. Love that they provide life jackets and that there is a bathroom in the actual pool area. Makes it so much easier when you have more than one little one to keep track of yourself. The showers are nice, great that they provide baby wash for you. The seating area outside of the pool is ample. Just wish there was maybe another bench or 2 inside the pool area itself. Sometimes if it's busy there is no where to sit or set your towels. The changing areas are very nice and spacious. All the restrooms are huge. The bathing suit dryer is awesome. Does a great job. So nice that they provide hair dryers. A must for cold Ohio days. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Very much need to give this place a try.

I like the attention to detail and organized manner in which the school operates. The instructor to student ratio ensures each student receives the proper time and focus on improvement. The performance feedback at the end of each session helps me better prepare my child for the next session. Love the positive reenforcement and reward recognition for a job well done...keep up the great work!

We love Goldfish! Out son is 22months and has learned so much in the past 2 months. The instructors are always the same which is great for building trust. There are lesson plans for each clasd which i love. Classes are well organized and run. Water safety the focus and that is very important to us. We highly recommend Goldfish!!

The reason I change my review is that Owner of the school actively work with me to solve all my concerns.
I had very some not happy experience with Gold Fish two times, here are the tricks I hope parents to be aware of:
1. They will set you in a very low level, and keep you in the lower levels and not try to move your kid to the next level. My daughter has been learning one skill for 4 weeks but all other skills are perfect, but they just keep her there not moving her to next level or not helping her overcome the last skill for 4 weeks.
2. It is a 30 minutes class, but they never started on time. Our class is 4pm, but they always open pool door 5 minutes later, and have parents pick kids at 4:25, so it is a shorter class.
3. The refund policy is a disaster. They took my credit card information and charged me automatically, and we can only be withdrawn for next month with an application. For example, when we started class 10/03, we can only ask for withdraw next month which means they need to charge whole month of October and November.
However, things would happen, kids are afraid of water, kids cannot adapt to the guidance, family has vacation plan, then we have no choices just waste for two month tuition.
4. Supervisor and manager are very hard to deal with. I try to work with them several times and tey to be patient for 4 weeks, but they are just not helpful, they are consider their business practice and policy much more than your kids' need and your kids' advancement.
