Our daughter has been swimming at Goldfish Swim School – Kenwood, and we absolutely love it! The instructors are amazing with kids; patient, encouraging, and full of positive energy. The entire staff makes every class fun while keeping safety and learning as top priorities.

We’ve seen incredible improvement in her confidence and swimming skills. She looks forward to every lesson and feels so proud of what she’s achieved. The facility is always clean, well-organized, and welcoming, which makes the whole experience enjoyable for both kids and parents.

Goldfish Kenwood has truly made swimming one of our daughter’s favorite activities. We couldn’t recommend it more!

At first, this place seems really nice. The staff are friendly. They will even offer you a tour of their fairly clean facility. But the longer you stay around, the more it falls apart. CONSTANT changes of swim instructors. Every couple weeks it was someone new. Missed evaluations constantly. You have to REALLY prod to get your child evaluated, even though they are supposed to be evaluated on a regular basis. Even when I finally got an evaluation and she technically moved up a level, they never put either her new level or her evaluation results in the app, even when I asked them about it repeatedly. The longer your child stays in the same category and doesn't progress, the more money they can make off of you, and they are very aware of this. Any time I'd bring up an issue to a staff member, they were always super polite. They'd give some sort of reason for the issue, explain that they will resolve it, and claim they'd send a follow up email. BUT, most of the time, issues were not resolved and we never once received a follow up email. They can't put notes on an account to save their lives. After months of this, I finally decided to un-enroll. We filled out the form to un-enroll and turned it in electronically with almost two weeks notice before the next billing cycle. They proceeded to STILL CHARGE US for an UNENROLLED child. They won't let you remove your billing info, either. They keep it on file even for unenrolled children. They also claim that you get to use your make-up classes. They make it extremely difficult to do so. Every time I have tried to book one, it's the same excuse of "Oh, well, we can't really book them in the future, max we can do is one week ahead of time." But then my child isn't guaranteed a spot to use up her makeup classes. It's a mess here. The staff turnover is really wild. Different people every week. Management will admit the turnover is bad. They are billing me for an unenrolled child. And no one answers emails. They pick up the phone 50% of the time. I highly recommend that you consider other options for a swim school. This just isn't it. They'll do it with a smile, but they will screw you over.

Goldfish is a great place to learn how to swim! The teachers are extremely friendly and helpful! The facility is always clean and my child loves that the pool is heated so they don’t get cold during class. I would highly recommend goldfish to any parent looking for swimming lessons.

The Goldfish Swim School is Kenwood is a dream come true -- an amazing, super kid-friendly facility with truly the nicest people in the world working there. My kids have made a ton of progress since we started lessons here AND it's their favorite activity of the week! Doesn't get better than that :)

***1 year update***
We still love coming here and have just renewed for a 1-year membership! Our almost-4-year-old has advanced significantly and is now so confident in the water! We also love the family swims where he can just play in the water. Every instructor has been patient and able to work with differing ability levels. Could not recommend them more!

Swimming at Goldfish is not only my favorite activity for my son but it is also his favorite! The instructors all have the training and patience to handle my very happy and energetic toddler. Since coming to Goldfish, his skills have rapidly advanced and we now take him to class two days a week. They have family swim times so he gets to spend a lot of time in the water developing an important life skill. The family swim times also give us a fun activity to do in the winter which is a big bonus! I can't wait to watch my son continue to develop with the amazing group of people at Goldfish Kenwood!

This is the sweetest swim school! The staff is so kind, gentle and caring. My 2 yo is learning how to swim in a fun and safe environment! There aren’t many times I go out of my way to write a review, but I want this place to succeed. Truly everyone who works here is amazing. Also important to note - this place is CLEAN clean. I’ve been to other swim schools, and none of them compare to the service, safety and cleanliness of GSS-Kenwood. Just felt the need to put that out there ❤️ Thank you Goldfish staff!! If you’re on the fence - give it a try!

My son has been attending the beginner swim class at glodfish swim for several months. One morning, just before his class began, his Coach told us She was taking a one to one makeup class and my son was arranged to attend another class in Lane 6. After my son went to Lane 6, i found this class in Lane 6 was for intermediate students and the Coach was busy with other two children who had good swimming skills. My son just sat over there for almost the whole class. I am super unhappy. I paid for this class.

We have had the best experience at goldfish swim! I have a toddler and we have a pool in the backyard so swimming safety was a huge concern for us. We immediately loved all the staff at goldfish swim. They made us feel valued and comfortable since our first time there. My daughter quickly adjusted and looks forward to going twice a week to improve her swimming skills. She recently moved up to the next level and has really been progressing over the past few months. We highly recommend this to anybody with children, not only for safety but the kids have a lot of fun! The viewing area is comfortable for parents and families to enjoy watching the lessons. They also have showers, changing rooms, changing stations and a play area too!

Great experience here over the last 6 months - staff is friendly and amazing with kiddos. We started in the parent-child class for my 2 year old, now my kiddo moved on to being with the instructor and a few other kids. The facility is great, all the amenities you want, and the pool is well maintained and clean. There's a play area for younger kiddos to pass the time.

I had an excellent experience hosting a fifth birthday party at Goldfish! The staff was warm, welcoming, and accommodating. The swimming pool was filled with toys and props that the kids, ages 1-9, all enjoyed, including a floating foam boat. The party packaged included favor bags and cupcakes, although it was perfectly fine that my party brought our own themed favor bags and cupcakes and to give away as well. There are plenty of changing rooms, large bathrooms, and open showers to rinse off. I would highly recommend for any birthday parties!

Amazing resource for the community. Cannot say enough good things about this school! Child went from needing a life jacket to swimming in just 10 weeks! Fast progress if you work with the staff and ask for pointers on how to maximize your success. The manager and team are truly special. Both of my children (5yo and 2yo) started at Goldfish Kenwood when it opened and we've had a great experience. I see obvious improvement in both of them each week, my 5yo especially. 5yo went from being scared to swim without support to being able to swim the length of the lane and pickup objects at the bottom of the pool in 7 weeks. The program is excellent and better than previous lessons they had at a local sports club. They are targeted to individual age groups and adjust each week to challenge the child. I would highly recommend.
