I am a new member of Y and one day came in to use the sauna and hot tub for the first time in years. I forgot my towel and so I asked front desk for a towel and told me they DONβT HAVE TOWELS. Really? What gym doesnβt have towels especially For a gym that includes a swimming pool. And one of the staff instead of saying βIβm sorry for the inconvenienceβ she RUDELY saidβ¦βwell youβre gonna have to bring your own towel.β Itβs just so rude. And front desk staff are not all nice. They have the same kind of attitude when in the phone with them. One time this lady told me that it would be an open pool so I packed all the stuff my kiddos need and drove all the way come to find out that thereβs no open swim. Do you know how inconvenient that is?

Please fix / close off the treadmills that squeak. Itβs actual torture if you donβt have headphones. They squeak with every single step the person takes, and itβs like standing in a McDonaldβs with their fryers beeping for 25 minutes straight. Also, the old people donβt care if it squeaks and will use it anyways. PLEASE FIX THEM. THEYRE IN THE THIRD ROW OF TREADMILLS

Terrible experience with the child watch staff always calling me at the most little inconvenience they have with my child. Canβt even have a 20 min workout before they start calling me to get my child because theyβre having βissuesβ with him. Thereβs no reason my membership is $60 and canβt enjoy a workout . Is the staff not certified to deal with these types of βissuesβ? Is this how incompetent they are? And they donβt even engage with the children half of the time, theyβre mostly chitchatting and on their phones well obviously theyβre gonna cry if you donβt play with them and if my child or any child asks to go outside I expect you to take him/them if the weather is permitting!!! LAZY PEOPLE.

Staff was extremely rude and disrespectful to me on the phone. "You can't just get approved and walk on in that's not how it works". I just went to the hilliard location and they were very helpful and let me in almost instantly. I had no issues at the other location. The lady I spoke with was very rude.

I would never go to this ymca ever again. Honestly thinking about canceling my membership after the treatment I received yesterday. The two older women up front had nasty customer service attitude. My family was discriminated against because of my children. We were forced to swim outside. We were rushed right out the showers while we were still showering. Honestly I could put so much on here about this facility but it would take a long time.

Iβll be canceling my membership. The more I think about it the more Iβm throwing my money away. They used to be open early and stayed open late but ever since Covid they changed. They got Lazy is what it is. They donβt hire and properly train life guards. They OBVIOUSLY dont want the water slide to be in use because they NEVER have anyone to life guard it so thatβs another amendment we pay for and canβt use. The open swim hours are terrible, the pool is is filthy with hair floating all around it. Iβll be saving my money and no longer using YMCA anymore. Theyβve gone down hill. Too bad. They are a money pit and no longer for the community.

We use the pool for exercise, and it works put well. It's better that it's now first come, first serve for lap lanes. They don't have many lifeguards, so the pool isn't open all day 5 days a week.

Today I came to this facility. They said the pool is closed 4 hours per day 4 days a week. I asked if any of the members will be reimbursed since half the facility is closed half the time. They said no one else cares but me. I'll post this here for anyone who also thinks its unacceptable.

The Grove City YMCA is a wonderful family friendly place where you can do so many things such as swimming, dance & workout classes to name a few. The facility is always clean, the Staff is always so nice & helpful including the members who attend. The kiddos love the outside pool and we love the lap lanes and the weight room. We continue to renew our membership because of the variety of activities available for the whole family.

Saturday morning staff must not speak or hate working Saturday. My daughter and I leave about 11 am, I say, "Have a good day" and nothing in return. My daughter, as we walk through the door says, " well that is rude, why even say anything mom?" I tell her I didn't say it to get a response I said it to be kind, no matter if there is a response or not. Thank you for not responding. I was able to show another example to my daughter on how to remain kind in the presence of rudeness.

I joined Silver Sneakers through the YMCA in January 2024, but just started working out with a personal trainer and participating in the different classes and I'm already noticing big results! went here for a swim meet. It was the worst I've every had.
So this was a pretty small meet, but the amount of incidents that happened were not small. First, staff is not properly trained. The lifeguards on duty are teenagers clearly not trained because they're talking to their buddies. Their staff was incredibly rude when asked a question.
The pool was the worst pool that I've ever swam in. The flags on the ceiling for backstroke were far off the normal amount, making many people add times on their events. The pool water was super murky with weird strands of things inside of them
For competitive swimmers, DO NOT COME HERE! The starting blocks were horrible, with them having absolutely no grip, causing people to slip, fall, get injured, and get disqualified on their events. The water conditions are horrible, the scoreboard is unresponsive, and the touchpads are super delayed.

Avoid this Y if youβre looking for a swim workout. Lifeguards close the pool for 15 minutes every hour and you must reserve a lane. After swimming only 10 minutes the pool was closed for a break. Waited 15 minutes for the pool to reopen, got a 5 minute swim in before being kicked out because the lane was reserved. Got out of the pool and noticed 2 empty lanes which were apparently reserved but nobody was there. Lifeguard said I could wait 10 minutes and if nobody showed up I could have the lane. Of course less than 30 minutes after that the pool would close again. Absurd.

the people who work here have been nothing but rude to me. The manager told me and my 8yo son that we couldn't wait for Cota plus in front of the building. Also a different day insisted my other two sons needed id's to come as my guests. Even though they're both minors and I was with them. I'm going to find a friendlier location to use.

I visited here as a quest yesterday, this was my first time coming to the ymca. The facility was nice and clean and you could actively see the maintenance staff changing out trash cans throughout the building. I used the gym area mostly, they had tons of equipment. All different makes and models of treadmills, bikes and elipicals. They had versions with smart screens down to just the basics. They also have a nice two lane walking track that surrounded the fitness area which I thought was a nice touch.
The pool area was a bit crowded as expected, especially since they did away with reservations this year. The indoor pool was dead but open, however the life guards depending on who was on duty could be a attitudy and forcing people out of the indoor pool to the outdoor pool which I feel like was unnecessary.
The majority of the general staff was great and they seemed very friendly. Overall, I enjoyed my first experience at this ymca.

Pretty good. It's a little small and meant for children up to 8 yeats old in side areas but it is fun. This is just outside though. It's very hard to find out what the prices are for the inside part. I don't know if they even let you pay just to go in there a few times a month or less.

A lot of the staff here is unfriendly. Not at all the kind of service I expected from the YMCA. I worked at the Hilltop Y years ago, and the energy was so much more positive at that location than this one. The lifeguards have made my son cry on two occasions already and I've only been a member for a few months. We love having something to do during the colder months, but for the amount I pay I think my family could feel a little more welcome than we do. Also, the indoor pool is always way too cold to enjoy.

At a time when pickleball is becoming the most popular sport in America, the Grove City YMCA director decided to limit our group to one court for 3 hours!! We generally have 16-20 players.Meanwhile basketball on the other court consisted of 2-3 small kids who basically aren't even big enough to play ball and a couple of adult men standi g under one hoop occasionally shooting a layup. Seniors get NO respect here! There was nearly as many waiting g to play pickleball as in the entire workout facility.
