Disgraceful and outrageous. A bald male instructor yelled at my 7-year-old child during gymnastics training — a completely unacceptable act toward a young kid. No professional coach with an ounce of decency would ever behave this way. It’s not “discipline,” it’s verbal aggression and abuse of power over a defenseless child.

Parents trust this place to help children build confidence — instead, this man tried to crush it. Shameful, heartless, and totally unfit to work with kids. I’m disgusted by what I witnessed. Management should be ashamed to employ someone who behaves like this. Families deserve to know what really happens here — this is not a safe or nurturing environment.

We’ve been very happy at Gym Nation! We have a daughter in gymnastics and a son in Ninja and both programs are excellent. The coaches are fantastic with the kids and we’ve seen significant improvement in both of the kids over the past year. I also like that there is a space for parents to watch the practices in person instead of streaming/video like other gyms.

We did competition gymnastics with them, and I had several conversations throughout the year with the coach about her methods because it was heavily affecting my daughter’s self-esteem and confidence. Her coach kept brushing it off, even suggesting once that my daughter was lying, and I decided to involve the owner of the gym. He was incredibly condescending, and when we said we wouldn’t be coming back next year, he said “In my experience, it’s the girls that aren’t any good that quit”, along with a couple more unkind generalizations about the young women that are supposed to be in his care. In short, the coaches are inflexible, apparently only know one coaching method, and are not willing to work with their athletes if their “tough love” (read: emotionally manipulative and borderline verbal abusive) tactics don’t work. Their athletes are simply paychecks to them.
Now we’re at a new gym that invites conversation with their clients and seems to care about their athletes’ mental health as well as their physical health.

Our 5 year old son went for the trial ninja class and was yelled at the whole time. They made it seem like he was a burden to the class but let all the other kids do whatever they wanted. The coach Oliver preceeded to pick up my son and move him from station to station without asking me. Overall experience was horrible I will not be enrolling my son in the class and wouldn't recommend this place or coach. I have been to other ninja places with my older son and they never yelled at the kids and were organized and welcoming.

Signed our daughter up for the toddlers class “bears” and we pulled her out because the teachers/coach’s didn’t pay attention to the kids, our daughter got hurt while a coach was spotting her and they were constantly checking the time then cheering when class was over.

Very poor experience in the class that we spoke with management and they said they were kind enough to refund our money which is why 2 stars.

We had a birthday party for my daughters 10th birthday back In May and the hosts were amazing and actually played along with the kids. Also, my daughters go here for gymnastics and they love it! They actually teach as opposed to letting the kids just play during practice each week. I would recommend to anyone I’m so glad we found this place.

The ninja class for two weeks in a row was led by teen boys who constantly had to read what the routine was. Boys were not supervised on skills and several just did what they wanted. Boys who had trouble accomplishing a skill were not encouraged and taught.

I bring my granddaughter here twice a week for practice. The waiting area is never clean. There is an odor similar to stinky feet that overpowers you upon arriving. The wi-fi ssystem is sketchy at best. I spend 90 minutes in a smelly, loud gym with no internet. I can't wait for this session to end.

My family went to Gym-Nation for a birthday party. The facility is clean and organized. The Ninja room is challenging and fun for everyone. I haven't seen that many smiles in one room in a long time. A big thank you to the staff for being very helpful and attentive!
