We attended a birthday party special event here with our grandkids. The staff we very helpful and attentive to the kids, making sure they all had opportunities to experience the gymnastic fun, and emphasizing the birthday child. Well done!

This isn’t a gym for everyone. For example, after every class the teacher decides to come up to you with your child by and say “she did really well but needs to work on …” my neurodivergent anxious child would not tell me why she didn’t want to go back to tumbling after wanting to do it for months but it was easy to put together. She is not on a competitive team and shows no interest in that level right now- I would understand this “ constructive criticism if that were the case but otherwise it seems unnecessary. I told the person at the front desk this concern and the reason we would not be returning. I said I understood that gymnastics is cut throat but this didn’t seem like a good fit for her. She said that they try not to be like that, apologized and asked for the coaches name when I said I didn’t know but said it had happened on other occasions to. Tell me why as soon as the class ended the coach comes up and does the same thing!!! Again!! ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY DID IT AFTER I TOLD THEM NOT TO! I ended up in a polite way telling the other coach that she does not respond well to that and it doesn’t matter because she won’t be back to this class again. I get a meek and awkward ok and she moves in to the next person. I say this all to inform people of what they are getting into if you have a super athletic competitive kid then this is probably a great fit for you. If your child is like mine I would probably try somewhere different because now mine who loved tumbling isn’t interested anymore.

I Wish I could give them a zero star. I’ve been wanting to get my 4 year old daughter into gymnastics, and being a gymnast myself, I thought it would be super fun to come to an open gym and practice with her, so we decided to do an open gym together to play so we could work on some of her stuff to prepare for regular classes.

NO WHERE on their website does it say that the open gym is KIDS ONLY and that the staff are as lame as it gets.

Additionally, My mother came to hang out with us and watch. they wouldn’t let both of us into the gym floor (“BECAUSE THERES NOT ENOUGH ROOM”) (there was MORE than enough space for her to come in and hang out) so my mom had to sit in the stupid hard chairs and watch us through the glass while I had to stand there like a freaking statue and watch my daughter who’s not knowing what to do because ALSO, “adults aren’t allowed to touch any of the equipment”. I have been dying to practice the bars with my daughter since we don’t have regular access to them. As soon as my hand touched the bar the little redhead girl ran over and said I wasn’t allowed to touch the equipment. How in the world am I supposed to teach her anything when I can’t show her? I weigh 100lbs and there are teenage girls in here that are bigger than me.

What a freaking joke. I am so aggravated and I hope this place gets shut down for being stupid.

All this place is good for is for parents to drop their kids off and not be involved in their kiddos practice whatsoever.

I would never recommend this place to anyone, ever, for any reason.

Gym Skills has been a very fun place for my daughters (6 & 4). The coaches are always very kind to them, help them have fun, and learn to enhance their skills. They also come up with fun events for them to display their hard work. My oldest daughter had a birthday here and everyone seemed to have a great time. (You can take a trial class if you are interested in checking it out.)

This place has nice instructors that work well with my daughter. It is very crowded however and does not have nearly enough seats for parents to sit during class. Also, it's not very clean. They do not allow kids to wear socks (bare feet) and my daughter has literally had to step in water and sludge dragged in from the outside. Also, they frequently cancel classes for holidays but still require you pay the full monthly fee, but issue you makeup tokens. We cannot come for a make up class on a different day and time due to busy schedules and work so I am out money.

Great coaches! Staff is always short handed though and very few can man the juice bar that they advertise. I hate telling the grand kiddos, no especially when it's right in front of their faces!!

We are a returning family and are so happy to be back! We initially started when my daughter was 1.5 years old and loved it! The staff was friendly and so helpful for my daughter who was shy and brand new to any kind of sport.

We ultimately had to leave due to scheduling conflicts and drive time, but my daughter wouldn't have any other gym so we came back! Our first day back and it was so nice to see some of the same friendly faces who even went out of their way to make sure to tell my daughter hi and welcome her back - which alone is beyond impressive since we've been gone almost a year now and I know they have a lot of kids to keep of! We're definitely glad to be "home"!

My son really enjoyed his class. Just beware I am out 96 dollars because I rushed through the sign up process. They automatically charge your card each month unless you give them 30 days notice. I never spoke to anyone (besides my son's coach twice about how he did) until today over the phone. I called yesterday 8/2/2021 and no one got back to me. So I tried again today and was told they could only offer me make up days no refund because I signed a waiver. Unfortunately make up days won't work for us because we have other commitments throughout the school year. Fortunately I thought to call back for a third time to "put in my 30 days" before my card was charged again next month. It's just devastating because of course I was relying on that money to pay utilities. I'm honestly really shocked they didn't refund the money back. People make mistakes and to keep a customer coming back you would think they would give someone their money back. Don't make the same costly mistake I did.

I tried Gym Skills with my 17 month old daughter and I did not find it to be structured towards someone her age. The instructor wanted her , and all the other kids, to stay in line and follow a circuit. That may work for 3 or 4 year olds but not for young babies. In addition i found it to be extremely unsafe. The area for the little kids was not blocked off and the kids could roam, they could fall into the ball pit, the bars has their wires drilled into the ground and they were not covered so my daughter walked into it, and that was just to name a few. Moreover it was very hot and uncomfortable there. It reminded me of my old gym. This was supposed to be a kids gym, there should be air conditioning. I was hoping it would be good because the prices are affordable but i will not be taking my child back there anytime soon
