Excellent spot to enjoy hot yoga in Dublin. I appreciate the convenient location and consistent class experience here. I have mostly taken the “Mixed” class, on occasion “Advanced” when I’m feeling real good. 😊

I started yoga classes this summer at Harbor. I have had very wonderful experiences in Carrie’s level one and Shannon’s mixed class. I’m grateful Carrie subbed the first class I signed up for, her kindness and encouragement led me to buy a package to take classes over the entire summer. I was a runner before attending classes but hurt my ankle back in November. I just had my second child and wanted to find a class where I can work on myself and become stronger. Carrie and Shannon set a good environment that was not focused on being skinny, fast or the best. They emphasized learning to work with your body, build your form and your breathe.

With that said, My friend and I did have a very bad experience in Colleen’s level 1 class. about 20 minutes into the class I was extremely uncomfortable and decided to leave. I was going to shrug it off at “just not the instructor for me” but she followed me out to lobby. She kept telling me to modify, which because I was new to level 1, I was dependent on the instructor. She was doing so many poses I had never seen, providing no instruction on how to do the poses and provided no modifications. I tried to leave again saying, “it’s okay.” Colleen follows up, “You should go to the slow flow on Sunday.” I didn’t react, although initially I wanted to shout at her because she was so unkind and rude. I went to my car and cried. I knew I could handle the level one courses. Her anger I believe came from her discomfort that a student was leaving her class early. As an educator myself, I understand how it feels when it feels your instruction is being called into question. I also understand my style and method isn’t for everyone. Instead of letting me go she projected onto me and made it my fault I wasn’t successful in her class.

My friend decided not to come back to Harbor. I decided to reach out to someone after it all happened. I spoke with Erin, the studio manager. She was kind and empathetic. She echoed every teacher has their own style and provided me some suggestions. I agree with her and still Colleen was in the wrong.

The level 1 description clearly says “ For those who have always wanted to try a yoga class, but felt too intimidated to walk in, this is the class for you. Instruction will be detailed and clear. Vinyasas will be slow and precise.”

It is impossible when you are new to know which instructor will be beginner friendly and which ones won’t be. Had Colleen been my first class, Harbor would have not gained me as a student.

Any level 1 teacher needs to be prepared to help new students feel welcomed. Carrie encouraged me to rest, not compare myself to others and work with my body. She also remembered my name and would greet me when I walked in. I always felt seen and as a member of her class. Colleen started with: I run a lot of core and strength and you’ve only been to 3 courses. I felt fat shamed by her and judged.

Erin refunded me for the class which I was grateful for. I am moving abroad tomorrow morning and am sad this was my last harbor yoga class.

I can see an improvement in my flow, my strength and endurance. Despite my bad experience, I have had many good experiences, which is why I am leaving a 5 star review. Shannon’s cool towels and Carrie’s upbeat style will empower your day. I would strongly recommend Carrie, Shannon, Sophie and Molly if you are a beginner and avoid Colleen.

Had a great time checking out Harbor Yoga! We took an advanced class with Angie as the instructor. We were really challenged, got our sweat on, and left feeling exhausted and accomplished. 10/10 would recommend.

We both train Brazilian jiu jitsu and I can tell how yoga also complements our training well.

Best high-energy, high endurance yoga studio in Columbus! Such an amazing experience and workout! Love how they infuse strength and core training into the flow. The instructors are friendly, encouraging and push us to challenge ourselves. The studio is heated — be sure to bring water, a towel, and dress accordingly. You’ll leave sweaty, energized, stronger, and eager to schedule your next practice!

As a guy, it can be intimidating to take yoga. I've tried other yoga studios in the Columbus area, but the location, studio atmosphere, instructors, and the community of clientele at Harbor is the cream of the crop. They have leveled classes for all ranges of experience (offered every day of the week at multiple times) and the instructors really know their stuff and make practicing yoga fun and enjoyable. Instructors make you feel welcome, and part of a family. I feel so good mentally and physically when I leave. The playlists are always awesome. Can't say enough about this studio. Kudos to Kristin for always bringing it and providing an awesome flow workout!

Not only is their yoga physically great, it is also a huge stress reliever and is so beneficial for my mental well-being. Not to mention, the instructors play bomb music! Very disappointed in this studio... I moved away and havent been back for 6 years. I was so excited to attend class after being gone because it was one of my favorite studios... Online the class was labeled as "mixed" and says "come one come all" ... there is no way new students could make it through this class. Katies teaching felt as though she hadn't been trained as an instructor for yoga.. she was incorporating weights into a non weighted class, her flow had no breath cues, and she would just tell the class to flow through without giving the pose names. I kept trying to look at her and or other people to see if I was in the right pose... nothing made sense.. and I have been taking yoga for 18 years, yet i was lost. There were 10 people in class and 4 people left throughout class while everyone else seemed quite lost. the music was loud and the instructor was facing the wall and we couldn't hear anything she said. People were laying in savasana or standing there looking confused... No eye contact, lack of breath, and had no flow whatsoever of going from one pose to another.. I was completely floored by how poorly this class was taught.I really hope this isn't the direction the studio is going in.

Quickly has become one of the essential parts of my week and my workout routine. Unlike any other yoga practice that I have tried in the past. It will humble you but leave you feeling stronger mentally because of it! Angie and Heidi are awesome. They really have created something special.

Harbor Yoga cannot be beat! I’ve tried numerous yoga studios and nothing compares to Harbor. I had been doing HIIT for years and had hit a plateau. I never thought I could leave a yoga class feeling like I got my butt kicked as much as I do at Harbor. Heidi and Angie are both great... they are extremely friendly, welcoming and encouraging. I haven’t had a bad trainer yet. Two thumbs up for HY!

Harbor Yoga Studio is a great place to get in a workout. I've read a few reviews; "Harbor is not a yoga studio." Pretty incorrect. What do you want from a yoga studio? Owners who are certified? Who care? Who provide a safe and clean environment for their clientele? People who provide many, many options for class times and level of effort? And anybody can practice here - a common mantra for all instructors is "modify, modify, modify." I personally don't do all the upward dogs in a class.

Highly enjoyable, very energetic, sweat like crazy because it's 100 degrees in the room, and enjoy the environment and camaraderie. If you want to lie on your mat with your eyes clothes being at one with the universe, this probably isn't your place.

Last - I was a complete newbie on 2/2/2015 when I first attended. I found everyone to be patient, instructive and fun. Enjoy!

For those who want a solid hot-yoga workout, this is the place to go. This isn't the "lie around and Om about your feelings" type. It's modern, hot, fun, and worth the time and money.

THIS IS NOT A YOGA STUDIO. I REPEAT: NOT A YOGA STUDIO. This is a POWER yoga studio.
For those unfamiliar with the difference;
Yoga is typically about getting to know your mind and body through poses and stretches. Typical class sizes are about 3-18 students. (Instructors have time to correct individual's poses)
Power Yoga is a workout similar to what you find at a gym that utilizes stances similar to yoga poses. Typical classes are about 20-50 students. (Instructors rarely go around correcting individual poses, hence why I say "similar to yoga poses" and not actual yoga poses; 75% of the class is typically in poses that are a little incorrect)

Their POWER yoga classes are very good but the fact that Google does NOT note that their classes are Power Yoga or that their classroom is a hot studio means I was in for a very unhappy class on my first visit. Thus, a 3/5 review (-1 for no note about it being power yoga and -1 for no note about the hot studio)
