Joining Hardbody Athlete has been one of the best decisions I’ve made in a long time—my experience has been nothing but positive. From the first consultation, I knew I’d found a team that truly cared about my success. Coach K-Mac created a personalized workout plan that’s easy to follow, with regular assessments, nutritional guidance, and weekly check-ins to track my progress. Both Coach K-Mac and Coach Amanda are supportive, positive, and genuinely invested in their athletes, which makes a huge difference.
The atmosphere is welcoming and never intimidating, the facility is clean, and the equipment is well-maintained. After coming in with health setbacks and a couple of surgeries, the first few months focused on recovery and rebuilding my health. Now, I’m seeing real improvements in strength, balance, and energy—and I actually look forward to going to the gym and feel better once I’ve completed my workout!

Since my son (14 yr old) began training here a few months ago, I've witnessed a truly life-changing improvement in his confidence and character, at school, on the ice, on the football field, and at home. His increased self-assurance has translated into a more positive attitude, resilience when facing challenges, and a greater sense of responsibility.
As a 4 sport athlete (hockey, football, lacrosse, and baseball) our son is often playing and practicing multiple sports at all times leaving limited availability for strength and performance training. His 6 am workouts before school have been the perfect compliment to his often hectic sports schedule and he looks forward to starting his days with KMac and the other coaches at Hardbody.

As a hockey dad, I can’t say enough about this gym and the impact it’s had on my 12-year-old son. He plays defense, and like most kids at that age, he was still finding his confidence both on and off the ice. After just a few months of training here, the transformation has been nothing short of incredible.
The coaches know exactly how to motivate young athletes — they push hard, but in a way that builds kids up instead of breaking them down. My son walks into every session excited, and walks out standing taller, prouder, and hungrier to improve. His nutrition habits have completely changed too; he’s actually asking for the right foods and taking ownership of fueling his body like an athlete.
On the ice, the difference is obvious. He’s skating with strength, playing physical, and carrying himself like he belongs out there. His coaches and teammates have noticed — and most importantly, he’s noticed. The confidence this gym has instilled in him is priceless.

Kmac is amazing! His program is top notch and is not just about strength and conditioning, it’s accountability, being comfortable with being uncomfortable, perseverance, and being a good human being. The transformation both my kids have made since coming here has been nothing but amazing. It has lead to incredible gains in the gym but also their individual sports(hockey and volleyball). With all of these gyms floating around here in Columbus to train athletes, Kmac is someone you can truly trust with your kids as he has their best interest at heart and will get them where they want to go.

My son began working with K-Mac a year ago before starting high school hockey. Not only did he learn properly about training and nutrition, he was pushed to understand he can do hard things. No excuses! My son had an awesome freshman season, leading his team in goals - but it was accompanied by growth as a leader on the bench and increased academic performance. After graduating from Ohio State, I spent my preseason, rookie season of professional hockey, and second preseason with Kmac at Hardbody. I could not speak more highly of him both in his knowledge of strength training, nutrition, and lifestyle as an athlete, but also as a person. He genuinely cares for each individual athlete and his or her success, and he works to continuously alter their program to help them achieve whatever sport or personal health goals they have. Whether preparing for my first pro game, working through an injury, or recovering in postseason, I always felt confident in the program laid out for me. I am not only stronger than I've ever been in my career, but I am more knowledgable in nutrition, recovery, preparation, and lifestyle, which are all skills that I intend to utilize for the rest of my career and also in coaching and raising a family in the future. This summer was amazing for me. Coach K-Mac definitely knows what he’s doing, he has a set program and follows it through. What really helped me was the fact that he helped me track my nutrition ( fat percentage, body mass, muscle mass, etc). Over the course of the summer I gained a ton of confidence in myself going into the season. The workouts are intense, safe, and proper which is perfect for any athlete. Definitely coming back next summer, and I recommend Hardbody Athlete for anyone who wants to get better.

Kyle has trained my 11 year old for the past year. Not only does he practically apply weight lifting and exercise routines to a young athlete, he also provides nutritional guidance to keep him healthy and recovering. I have seen the leaps that my son has taken at home and in hockey. His confidence is also through the roof. I cannot recommend Hardbody enough if you want to take the next step for yourself or your young athlete!

Hardbody is the type of place you go to when you are actually serious about your goals and what you want to accomplish. This place is not for everyone. Everyone talks about how bad they want it but few are willing to make the actually sacrifices necessary to obtain their goals. If you are serious, this is the place for you and if your not that's ok too I'm sure planet fitness is open.

I can’t say enough praise for Coach Kyle. He has transformed my thirteen year old boy with little strength, poor self confidence, and zero experience with nutrition into a whole new athlete. In less than 12 weeks my son’s skating has shown great improvement due to gaining more strength each week and proper nutrition. Needless to say he feels fantastic about himself now and is looking forward to a long career in hockey.

We have been sending our son Nikolai to Kyle for strength and conditioning for 6 weeks (12 sessions). We have noticed very positive results not only in his physical condition, but his positive attitude to succeed. Kyle's philosophy is to strengthen both mind and body to achieve optimum results with modern training aids combined with old school effort.
