Everyone is incredibly nice here!!! I am a senior who is afraid of the water and I'm attempting swim lessons. Lillian is my instructor and she is so understanding of my issues and very encouraging. I appreciate her so very much β€οΈ I'm progressing slowly, but Lillian constantly assures me that I am doing great. Her encouragement and kind support really helps me to continue showing up each week through my anxious moments.
Theresa at the front desk is also amazing, and when I first called with many questions and concerns about the swimming lessons and my anxiety issues and fears of water, she ( Theresa ) assured me that the class was definitely going to be okay for someone like me with my issues. The entire staff is incredibly kind, friendly and welcoming β€οΈπ«ΆπΎβ€οΈ. Thank you everyone for making me feel welcome, safe and at home.

This facility is yes, in an older building, but don't let that turn you away. Everything inside is well maintained, clean, and up to date. The staff is sooooo friendly! The clientele is diverse and international and everyone has a feeling of welcome and inclusiveness.

Hilltop YMCA preschool and day camp are head and shoulders above other programs in Columbus, Ohio. I truly appreciate the attentiveness, patience, and the thoughtful care given to my sons βespecially during such challenging moments in my life. I am deeply grateful for the way theyβve handled our particular situation with empathy and understanding. The staff members provided comfort, and created a safe space for all to thrive! My eldest son is autistic and has emotional ups and downs can be tough to navigate, but knowing he was supported by insightful adults around him made all the difference. Thank you Hilltop YMCA!!!! I absolutely LOVE Sally (who wouldn't!) the HydroPower instructor. She brings a positive light and energy to the water classes and is very supportive to everyone - personally and professionally.
I truly enjoy my experience and time at the Hilltop YMCA and sincerely appreciate the outward-facing support of ALL people, families and most importantly, DIVERSITY!! Thank you! Greetings, I always miss my instructor on Thursdays at Grove City. I must say I'm so impressed by the instruction we get when Kevin fills in. Most seniors love a challenge to their workouts. If we don't keep moving we pay a huge price. Some things we may lower movement but our class loves the ability to do work around. Kevin at Hilltop and Traci at GC YMCA give us a great, exciting workout. This is what we need.

The bad: older and smaller facility than other Ys nearby, small variety of classes, small lap pool is not very exciting for family swim, doesn't open early enough for a workout before work, and child watch hours are much fewer than other branches.
The good: The staff! Mr. Greg and pretty much all of the staff are fabulous human beings. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Coach Keri who does gymnastics is great with the kids, and this branch has more equipment for her classes compared to other branches.

I love this YMCA. They arenβt just a gym membership, itβs a direct link to the community and has amazing support staff, instructors for fitness classes, and a small town vibe where everyone knows you and supports you. I had absolutely no idea that I'd be homeless in Columbus again, but after returning from Las Vegas to help my Father with his medical issues, I find myself in this situation.
I called the Y this morning and got Greg on the line. I was able to get a hot shower.
Apparently, this is the last week for the program because people have taken advantage of the situation, but I'm grateful for this day.

My review is based on using the gym which I like. They have two separate rooms with one having more of the weights and the other being machines and cardio equipment. The building might be older and they don't have the walking track but it isnt crowded in the afternoons. The machines work and it works to get a decent work out in
