I started working out at Homewerk as a way to get back into weight training after taking several years off after the birth of my first child. What began as 1 day/ week training with Jen quickly became 2, then 3, and some weeks even up to 5 - I was hooked. What makes Homewerk so special is not just the fantastic workouts and Jen’s attention to hitting even the tiniest of muscles that you didn’t even know were there, it’s also the amazing people and supportive community.

I travel frequently for work to Columbus and always make time to drop into Homewerk! The vibe of the studio is too cool - it’s clean, organized, in this awesome loft decorated with the coolest astronaut themed art. The playlists are the perfect mix and different every time. The workouts are mostly dumbbells, bands and ankle weights. I love that the classes work different body parts - arm day gives you quite the pump! Jen the owner and instructor is the sweetest and so motivating. She makes the best peanut butter chocolate shakes for grab after class. Grateful I found Jenn and Homework for a workout away from home!

I’ve worked out with Jen at Homewerk since it was COVID park workouts & now to her amazing loft space. Jen creates workouts that challenge you to the edge of what you think you can do, not in a punishing way but in a supportive way that empowers you to do the extra rep you didn’t think you had in you.

Classes always feel different though you always start with a warm up and have a brief stretch at the end of class. Jen will tell you the weight she is using & then you make the selection that’s right for you.

Classes are intimate with only 8/9 spots or you can purchase the zoom link to work out at home or if you’re travelling to stay consistent. Everyone in class is always kind and even if you feel shy at the start of class by the end you & everyone in the room feel connected by Jen’s torture hahah

If it’s not clear already, I could not recommend Homewerk any more highly. Jen makes weightlifting approachable & sustainable. 10/10

You’ll always leave Jen’s class feeling like you got a killer workout and excited to come back soon. She keeps each class fresh and new so you never feel like you’ve done the same class twice. She also does a great job of seamlessly calling out modifications for anyone injured or pregnant; you can tell she really cares about the folks who come to the studio. Highly recommend!

I took my first strength training class online with Jen almost 4 years ago. I started out using very light weights as I had never been consistent with lifting. I’m 62 years old and I feel better than I did when I was 42. People my kids age stop me to ask about my workout routine. I’m very proud of my progress but I really owe it to Jen and her flexible approach to coaching. I take three of her group classes every week where I can do them in my basement virtually. By signing up for virtual classes you can either do it live with her and the others in her studio or you can do it later in your home. I’ve also done her classes many times in hotel gyms around the world as I travel a lot. Homewerk is a family affair for us. My husband joins me in Saturdays and my daughter and son also work out with her. We bond through the BURN! Don’t wait one more day. Sign up for one of Jen’s group classes, individual training or online workouts now. Do it for your 80 year old self!

I have been taking classes at Homewerk for years and have never found another place like it!
After trying out many yoga, HIIT, and cycling studios around the city, I was lucky to find Jen’s Homewerk.

Jen designs every workout with functional strength and mobility top of mind. Classes mostly use weights, bodyweight & resistance bands. I have gained so much confidence in training with weights and found exercise that really suits me.

From just starting out with lifting weights, through pregnancy, and now postpartum- Jen has been supportive of every step! She genuinely welcomes you at any stage of your fitness journey and offers modifications and pushes as needed. Her classes have warmth, comradery, and humor through all the challenging bits.

Jen is the best personal trainer I’ve had. I recommend her to everyone. Before Jen, no matter how hard I tried, I didn’t see results. After working with her for 1 year, I started to see incredible shifts in my body and my mood. Now, it’s been 4 years, and I can’t image who I’d be without her. I’ve been doing personal training with Jen at Homewerk for over 2 years now. Jen rocks! I’m a 59 year old “ wanna be” stronger gal and I started coming to her class with my daughter. I absolutely LOVE how she pushes us- yet allows modifications! She’s encouraging and personal with her clients- knows them by name and pays attention. I continue to do both live and virtual workouts with her and can feel myself getting stronger! She is real and “down- to - earth!” She answers questions and provides insight in a timely manner. I would recommend Jen and her program/facility 100%! Try it!
