Adult Male Fitness Manager at this location uses the diaper-changing bathroom in the child-care facility - NOT the locker room bathroom. Naturally, to safeguard my children I cancel my membership. they then charge my card again after stating that they won’t, and then file a police report against me when I text and call for a refund of the fraudulent charges.

they refurbished the whole place and it looks nice. Have not been in the shower area since the refurbish. Would be nice if they fixed the boards in the racquetball courts. Been raised on the sides (court 3) for over 5 years. Would be 4 stars if the courts were fixed and 5 stars if both the bathrooms were clean (haven't looked) and the court floors were fixed.

Due to an incident during high school gym class, my wife has always been very modest about changing in public areas. She prefers not to change into her swimsuit in an open locker room. Unfortunately, using a handicapped restroom isn’t a good solution, as it’s still a restroom, and the designated handicapped showers are typically wet and not practical for changing.

My recommendation would be to remove a couple of sinks, shorten the sink area, and install one or two enclosed changing stalls. This would provide a comfortable and private space for guests who prefer more privacy while changing.

Note that I write my own lifting programs and don't tend to use trainers or classes. I'm mainly looking at quality of equipment, free weight access, cleanliness, and accessibility/hours. Also I have one of the global gym access passes (One Pass Select), so I don't deal with their membership.

That said, for me this is a great gym. Extremely spacious, tons of squat racks and benches, quality machines with some actual range of motion, tons of solid cardio options, clean, has a sauna, open early, friendly staff...if you're like me and just want to get your workout in without worrying about not having access to what you need for your program, you'd be hard pressed to do better outside of a proper powerlifting or strongman gym

I’m very happy here. The free weight and functional areas are fantastic. They also have plenty of machines to use. I also like their classes, racquetball courts, and pool. I’ve been an LA Fitness member for 10 years now and have been satisfied with my membership.

My only slight complaint is that I wish they had more than one adductor machine. It’s a popular machine and I feel like I’m always waiting on other people to stop using it.

The A/C in the fitness rooms are out. Apparently they have been out for over a month and I just joined 2wks ago. I was never informed before joining and I find this out while in the fitness room from other members. People say they have complained but nothing has been done. I call and ask to talk to a manager then talk to a female who told me she was a manager. She tells me they’re working on it and it should be fixed soon. I asked when “soon” was because I was told last week it would be fixed. Then she told me it hasn’t been out long (which is a lie). I called her out on it (as she knew I only joined two weeks ago) and told her other members told me it’s been over a month. She told me “relatively speaking that’s not long. WHAT?! Who says that to a paying customer? No apologies, nothing!! I said no a month is a long time to not have A/C especially since I joined the gym for fitness classes only. They have provided two fans for a massive room that does nothing in 85-90+ degree weather.

She told me she cannot assist me with refunding me for all or part of the sign up fees or my monthly payments. This is absolutely insane. She told me someone else would call me back that has that authority (but she already knows what they will say) and no one has called back! That is why I am on here leaving a review to warn others what you are signing up for. The only reason I gave this place two stars is because I love the Zumba instructors. They are amazing especially having to work somewhere where their employers don’t give a crap about what environment they work in. I feel bad for them and other employees because obviously they’re told to tell customers lies about how long the issue has been going on or refrain from telling them the whole truth like yea it’s been worked on but we don’t know when it will be fixed because it’s been over a month now.

Updating my review as the night workers haven't been so awfully rude and threatening, and that girl doesn't seem to work here anymore thankfully. However, my review still stays at a 1/5 for your trainers. Both of the male trainers are... weird. The white guy seemingly ONLY trains middle aged and younger women. When its cooler wears literal tights as a 40 something year old man (again, ONLY works with women) and tends to love taking up multiple machines for a workout at the same time and use 2 of the same equipment so that the woman he trains and himself can workout. Instead of swapping weights like every other person here. I also highly highly doubt anyone can blast music on a speaker here in the middle of the gym yet here I am with this man doing just that. He has zero gym etiquette and was an awful hire. He's probably kept around cause the women he trains love him (creepy). The black trainer isn't as bad, but after he asked how many sets I had left and I said 1 and proceeded to stand 2 feet beside me while I rested for my next set was creepy. He was all up in my personal space. I love this place and the redo they did with everything inside but the workers issues persist. Oh and add on the pool being closed for literally ever now.

By the way, when I signed up years ago they spoke about going to 24/7 soon. That was back in 2021 I believe? Got told by a friend who worked there at the time it was a ploy to get people to sign up when they didn't have any expectations of doing so :)

I was going to Esporta since I arrived in Ohio as I have been in LA Fitness for a fan for a long time. When I first came here, it was A good gym compared to some of the others that I had tried out in spite of my membership. I left town for a while and then I came back. Sign said LA Fitness, but when I walked in, it was like going into another world. The improvement, the look, the beauty, it was insane more importantly it’s geared toward the modern workout towards Fitness. It still has the heavy iron that we all grew up with in the sweat gym, but this one in the new equipment is off the chain. if you want the best most modern and the cleanest gym in town and you need to come and join up you won’t have to look any further

The gym is completely remodeled and looks great! So many new and updated machines. My only complaints are that there are multiple broken down machines and the free weight area is kind of crammed, making you feel like you're right on top of each other. Other than that I am definitely satisfied and look forward to coming in. Membership prices are very fair for what you get.

The pool has been closed for a year and a half. Since the remodel, the walls and floor are black (depressing). The old tread machines had fans, the new tread mills don't have fans and the whole gym is so hot. It's always clean and the staff are nice and friendly. Average rating.

Recently remodeled. Everything good but…..
Most stationary machines have a QR code that links to you tube how to set up and exercise. The treadmill, steppers and bikes do not. These have 7 different programs. I spoke to 5 different staff including gen manager and district manager. None have clue how to get QR code or printed instructions at the location. Seems that club should have instructions for their machines. I consider this a lack of customer service. If not corrected by end of June I will change clubs. Even though the drive will be 15 miles vs current 2 miles.

I signed back up (I was a member from 2014-2020) with the promise that the pool would reopen in 2-3 weeks. They have not worked on it at all in the last four weeks. The renovated workout floor and new equipment is nice, but I am primarily a member for the pool which has now been closed for "repairs" for almost a year. Every time I ask for an update, they string me along by saying "just a few weeks", "next month", etc. Most recently I was told before the renovations that they expected to reopen the pool with the renovated gym, then after the renovations they said it would be another couple of weeks, then just tonight, a month after the renovations, I was told late June! Which will be over a full year since the pool was closed! I am considering filing a complaint with the BBB over these deceptive claims and practices. The only reason I haven't cancelled my membership yet is because I have the legacy Esporta monthly dues of $20/month and if I terminate and later rejoin my dues will double now that this location has reverted back to the LA Fitness brand.

This is the only 25-yard pool I have reasonable access to as it is 5 minutes from both home and work in an area that I frequent on a regular basis. They keep telling me to just use the Centerville location but that is 20 minutes away in a direction that I never go for anything else, so quite far out of my way and drastically reduces my ability to swim. The pool at the Greene location (also out of my way) is shorter so not useful to me, and YMCA pools (at least, 25-yard pools) are at least 20 minutes from me and only offer lap swimming during limited hours (and rarely when I actually am available to swim). So I really need this pool to be open.

Review Update After Renovations:
LA Fitness recently did a complete overhaul of their facility, and the improvements are impressive. They installed brand-new equipment throughout the gym, including new squat racks, deadlifting platforms, and movable bench presses with safety straps—great for anyone training solo. There are significantly more benches and a wider range of dumbbells now, which helps reduce wait times during peak hours.

One standout addition is the new Hack Squat machine—it's a major upgrade from the old one and feels much smoother, allows for a deeper depth and better quad activation. Most of the new equipment is excellent overall, though I do wish there were a few more back-focused machines added.

One change that stood out was relocating the squat racks away from the mirrors. While it’s not ideal for those who like to check form during lifts, it’s understandable given the need to maximize floor space.

A couple of small drawbacks: the bent-over row and lat pull-down machines currently don’t allow attachment swaps, which limits versatility. Hopefully, that’s something they’ll address. Also, the men's sauna still doesn’t get very hot—rarely reaching above 180°F—which is a bit disappointing considering the otherwise major upgrades.

That said, these are minor issues compared to the massive improvements made. This overhaul puts the facility in a much better place, and I’m very happy with the changes. I've worked out at many LA fitnesses all over the country and this is one of the best ones I've been to.

Since last remodeled even they have new treadmills (matrix) even standard like not having vented fan like old treadmills do have them before. Also at 0% incline, you would felt like up to 5%. That makes people felt sweaty like at The Greene Mall. Treadmills needs to have vented fans as optional.

The building looks real fancy on the outside. The inside set up is sort of awkward. The music is generally pretty loud. (Really loud in the locker room !)So I have to turn up my music in my earbuds pretty high. The staff I suppose, is nice enough however they’re generally always busy talking to each other or on their phones when I come in. The staff at The Greene location at least look up and say hello to me. The last three times (each a few weeks apart)I came in (Fairfield Road) I wanted to use the pool and the hot tub but they were closed. When I asked the girl upfront when they might be open again, she said “oh they’ve been closed “. Can you at least advertise on the app or the website that it’s closed and you don’t know when it’s going to open so I don’t drive all the way here, just for those two items? It’s a nice enough facility I suppose. But I’m not too impressed. You would think for being a big name the set up and cleanliness would be a little bit better. I’ll drive the extra 10 minutes to go to the Centerville location.

One of the worst gyms I’ve been to. No ventilation so the air constantly feels stale and damp. All of the equipment is the lowest quality version they could buy. For one of the most expensive gyms in the area, there are some serious problems with the pool all the time. If you don't see the rust and oxidation on everything in the pool area, the hot tub's not working. If it's not that, then The entire pool is inoperable and closed.

Was a decent place for the price. Nothing special but had the basics. Most of the cardio machines work and are reasonably clean, and overall, there is a decent variety of equipment. Used to have around 8 or so heavy bags, but they have recently reduced that to two to make more room for their group classes so it's a matter of luck if you are hoping to grab one. Other than that, and having to dodge the men constantly taking shirtles selfies in the locker room, it's an ok place to exercise.

This place is honestly a catfish it looks nice on the outside and everyone coming in and out of the building is nice, as soon as you walk in the front desk people are rude unprofessional, the Caucasian male with no chin and a backwards cap seemed to not know what his job position was so he called this African/American male with glasses “mr Adryan Khalil” after assuming that he could help me I have a sense of relief and then mr Khalil ends up being even more useless about the situation at hand, all while we’re trying to explain to mr khalil that we’ve talked about the situation even on the phone (which he was more understanding and nice on the phone) the Caucasian male turns to his coworkers and starts laughing and making jokes, not only were there people in the back sneaking in while this was happening the gym was dirty nobody wanted to clean the floors and it smelled like a wet dogs butt entered a power lifting contest inside a trash can. Like I said the gym is a catfish don’t believe that you’ll have a good experience because of what it looks like because in the inside it stinks the weights aren’t even in their designated spots and the people running that zoo are worse than the animals.

I only use the machines and a few hand weights, and those work fine for me — I cannot comment regarding the free weights area or the showers/toilets that others have faulted. I come, workout, hop in the sauna and leave. I belong to both Esporta and Planet Fitness via Silver Sneakers and both are fine with me. I workout 2 of 3 times at Esporta, due to sauna, and work out 1 for 3 at Planet Fitness due to their ab workout room. Meets my needs and no extra cost to me due to Silver Sneakers. Staff at both places seem friendly, but I don’t ask anything of them. I like cleaning stations at Planet Fitness better.

This gym requires a thorough and proper cleaning. Couple months ago they power washed the showers, but did not scrape or use soap/chemicals at all. In essence it did nothing.

Many folks have mentioned the exact same thing and some have cancelled their membership. I’m looking to do the same here soon.

Been a member for several years now and honestly its kinda sad seeing this gym fail badly to the point members are beginning to express their concern among each other and some literally cancel their membership.

It has a pool for lap swimming and a child watch, which is why I chose Esporta in the first place. The prices were totally manageable when those two things were factored in. It certainly had more than enough equipment and machines for my needs. It's not the cleanest facility, but I had no complaints with it until my 3-year-old came home from the child watch spouting the f-word. I don't know if he learned it from the employee watching him or from another kid there. Either way, not an environment I was comfortable leaving my babies in for hours every week. I switched to the YMCA which, though MUCH more expensive, is a lot more family-friendly.

It's an okay gym. Lots of machines, often in pairs, such as hamstring curl machine.

Weight bars are at a premium. If you can get one, cherish it.

Lots of free weights. My only complaint is the limited benches that are bolted to the ground and set in permanent flat or incline. You have to switch benches, and with the limited amount you end up killing time waiting for one to free up.

The pool is nice, as well as all the separate areas for aerobics, cross fit, and stretches.

I'd rate it higher but my gym shoes were stolen while I was in the shower. Took my sweaty socks too. Must be an Ohio thing that someone would steal Munzo Waves and sweaty socks but not all the Air Jordan's left around.

I only use their faculty to play racquetball but the floors at the Beavercreek location are in desperate need of refinishing. Some players have started playing at other locations due to floor conditions.

Love that this gym has an indoor pool. The locker rooms and showers never seem to be very clean, though. Maybe it's because I go so early in the morning, but it's super disappointing to pay monthly and always come into such a dirty locker room.

Tried to cancel multiple times and going through the same thing other reviews have mentioned. They tell us we have to talk to the manager. Call to talk to manager again just leaving us on hold forever. It been 3 weeks going through the same thing. If you want to cancel be prepared to go through the a hassle. Bad customer service and poor attitudes.

Updated: So have been in many times to try and cancel stated have to come in between 9-5. Most people work during those hrs and it is very difficult. They did not even try to reach out or make things right. I am going to get stationed in another state and now I have to send a letter to California.

Really really poor business practices. Feel like I’m being held hostage!

It’s sad that Esporta Fitness is the key gym in the area due to limited choices. The N. Fairfield location is a dump, not cleaned, falling apart, never updated yet raises the rates to $45 a month!
There are machines that have been out of service for months if not years & when you say something it’s the same excuse or response of we will let them know!
Save your money & go to Planet Fitness where it is always clean, machines are well kept & the staff is engaging
Sadly I don’t think anything will come of this review but if it keeps one person from wasting their hard earned money well than it was worth it!

I Took Up personally training with GABE BEESLEY and i cant tell you how impactful his training is hes truly the bees knees he's so patient and Kind yet holds me accountable and pushes me to do Better😮‍💨 Be GREAT l was upset about how much i was spending at first but now its Worth every penny 💪🏆
