TOO MANY PEOPLE, my god this place is so busy on weekdays from 4-8pm that its basically unusable. The only good workouts I have on weekend mornings. I've walked in on a Wednesday at 6pm and left after 5min cause every single machine I would have needed for that lift had someone on it. Even in writing this review, Im realizing how insane it is that im paying $50 a month for a gym that is basically unusable 5 days a week.

It's a great gym, has everything any serious lifter would need, plus many other exercises opportunities.

My biggest issue is the 6pm closing on the weekends. People, myself included work weekends, or have families where their free time is the evening.

Also an establishment like this should have some sort of 24 hour access. Whether it be a more expensive monthly subscription. Possibly a deposit that is returned after cancelling gym membership.

“I had a bad and unsafe experience at LA Fitness Kids Club (5000 Tiedeman Rd, Brooklyn, OH 44144).

I left my two-year-old son there for the first time. Before leaving, I clearly explained to the staff that if my son cried or anything happened, they were to call me immediately. I told them this was his first experience, and if he cried and did not find me, he would have a severe tantrum, panic, and be very scared. They reassured me, saying, “Yes, we will call you as soon as anything happens or he cries. Don’t worry.”

But just ten minutes later, I went back to check on him and found my son standing in front of one of the girls, crying and sobbing profusely. He was looking at her for help or to call me, but she didn’t turn around or pay any attention to him. She was just sitting on her phone, while the other girl sat nearby, ignoring him. My son was in a severe crying fit, and he never cries on his own unless something bad happens or he is really hurt. Yet no one contacted me or tried to comfort him.

Even worse, when I picked him up, I noticed bruises, red marks, and what looked like a bump on his body. I have no explanation for the source of these bruises, and no one responded. When I spoke to the manager, his reaction was completely unprofessional and disrespectful. Instead of showing concern, he dismissed my complaint, claimed he trusted his staff, and refused to take any action. He even told me, “Maybe the bruises are caused by something else.” He offered to cancel my membership and told me to complain to customer service if I liked, as if he didn’t care at all. When I asked to review the cameras to determine the cause of my son’s injury, he told me they don’t have cameras in the kids’ club and implied I wouldn’t be able to prove what happened.

This is unacceptable neglect. The staff showed no concern for my child’s safety or mental well-being, and the manager showed no respect for me as a parent.

For the most part this place is fine but I literally signed up for a membership here for the basketball court and after skipping 9 months due to various injuries came back to find they removed the rims instead of just removing the morons causing problems in there.
Pool is nice.
Most of the equipment seemed to be in working order.

Do NOT join this club if you care about cardio equipment working. The Stairmasters are NEVER working properly and although tons of paying customers continue to tell them their response is to bring a maintenance man out once every few months and put a bandaid on them that eventually breaks within weeks.

One of the managers, JOSH, said they are faulty pieces of equipment that break because 400 pound people jump on them… what??? Very disrespectful and told me I just join a different club and told me to go away because he had something to complete by 6PM.

This LA Fitness branch intentionally tries to trap you into your membership.

After signing up for the gym specifically to use the pool to train for a triathlon, the pool has been closed for about a month. There are no ways to alert customers to the status of the pool aside from just calling. Due to this issue, I called repeatedly to request a refund for a month of my membership since this was the only reason I became a member.

I've gotten the run around: my number has been left for people to call me back twice only to have no one call. I finally went into the branch today to make the request. When they were unable to issue a refund for my lost month, I requested to cancel my membership - only to be told that I'm unable to cancel my membership unless the Operations Manager is there. And guess what? The Operations Manager only works M-F 9-5. How convenient that the only person who can cancel a membership is only available during hours most Americans are working.

I don't believe for one second that they are unable to cancel my membership: they are trying any way they can to make it so hard to cancel the membership that people don't.

Another fitness center that doesn't take care of their equipment. The jacuzzi has been down here for 3 months and management seems to be in no hurry to get it fixed. The condition of this facility has significantly declined. I have been a member for five years, and in the past, equipment issues were addressed promptly. However, this has changed. For example, a door to the racquetball court was broken two years ago and it took two and a half months to get it repaired. Additionally, the pool is often not well-maintained—algae can be seen growing around it—and the hot tub is frequently out of service and not kept clean. The attached pictures speak for themselves.

Pros: Its a fairly big gym, got a sauna, basketball courts etc..
Cons: This gym is so packed on weekday evenings it is unusable. I have walked in, looked around at the sheer volume of people, and walked out without a lift cause I knew id be fighting for machines my entire workout. Also there is a few places in this gym that smell terrible, for some reason the entire rack of free weights always smells like a combination of B.O & fish. Listed the sauna as a pro, but tbh I never use it cause like the gym the sauna is packed every time ive ever tried to use it. I really dont know why they are trying so hard to get more new members when this gym is seemingly already overcapacity. This could be a nice gym if you work out in the middle of the day, but the way it stands now there are simply too many people that go here.

Fitworks in Parma is my current gym, however it is limited to equipment, no pool, very small, rude people, etc. Today I signed up for LA Fitness and I was greeted by Chuck who gave me an knowledgable breakdown of all the equipment they offer, different ammenties and let me know about the pool because that is my biggest interest. Everyone was nice, welcoming and communicated greatly with me. It honestly was the 1st gym that felt like people were focused on their workout, and not shaming others who aren't as physically fit yet. We all need to start somewhere right?

All you see as you walk through the gym are 'out of order' signs everywhere. No paper towels dispenser in the mens restroom? Gym seems to be in a state of disrepair and neglect of the basics. La fitness will take your money and offer nothing in return . They are now closing at 6pm on weekends which there members hate. They are closing earlier and earlier . Showers closing earlier . Pools closing earlier. Basketball courts are closed . They don't take less money but every few months we lose more gym experience. We came here so my son could train at basketball and we can enjoy training on weekends. The last 3 years have been a serious decline. Awesome layout and clean facility. Was a bit thrown off by the building at first since the signage on all sides besides the front entrance still say Esporta. The front has a LA Fitness banner overhead.

Traveling through the area and this gym was a nearby and suitable gym for my visit. I do plan to return and will use this fitness center again. The sauna is a nice perk for those who want it (especially in the winter/snowy outdoor conditions).

This gym has great equipment and is generally well-maintained. However, I have to deduct a couple of stars because the music is INSANELY loud. I'm not talking about your average gym music, it's like they're trying to host a rave in here. It makes it impossible to focus and actually enjoy my workout. If you're someone who needs some peace and quiet to exercise, or if you're sensitive to loud noise, this might not be the gym for you. Hopefully, they'll consider turning down the volume in the future.

Typical sports/la fitness. Started coming here to get away from the darker crowd.... But like with everything they've found it. Clientele is now loud and roam in packs. Paper towels in the bathroom are apparently in short supply as they run out around 3pm and never are replaced till the next morning. When machines break/need reskinned it takes minimum 4mo to get them fixed. Probably look for a different location if you can. This one isn't great anymore.

Been a member for about a month and it's been...underwhelming. I am really only keeping my membership for the sauna.

The amount of machines out of service on a giving day is astounding. I would estimate about 30% or more of the cardio machines are consistently out of order.

Cleanliness is not the top priority here. I consistently find clumps of dirt and hair in the locker room as well as the gym itself. There are hardly ever wipes to clean the equipment, so most people don't, and it shows. The pool last I saw it was incredibly cloudy, like it was in desperate need of a shock.

The price is fine and it's close to my house and has a sauna, so I'll stay. But it's disappointing.

Almost half of their treadmills are broken too. The gym stinks & had the same smell for quite a while! The only positive is that it’s pretty affordable. I might just start going to Westlake for now on.

I recently found myself in need of a temporary gym while my regular one undergoes construction for the next month. After some searching, I decided to try out Esporta Fitness using their free 3-day trial, which they kindly extended to a whole week upon hearing about my situation.

From the moment I walked in, the staff at Esporta Fitness were incredibly accommodating and understanding. They went out of their way to make sure I felt welcomed and had everything I needed for my workouts.

As for the gym itself, it is top-notch. Whether you're into cardio, powerlifting, bodybuilding, or just an overall fitness enthusiast, Esporta has everything you could possibly need. The equipment is well-maintained and there's a wide variety of machines and free weights to choose from. The gym is spacious and clean, which made for a very pleasant workout environment.

Even though I won't be signing up for a membership at Esporta Fitness after my trial ends, I genuinely appreciate the excellent facilities and the professional, friendly staff. If you're looking for a gym that caters to all types of fitness routines, I highly recommend giving Esporta Fitness a try.

Updating my previous review. This place used to be a decent enough gym, but since it became esporta, more weight machines have been broken than ever. Some have been down for months at this point.

Edit 6/24 Machines continue to be in disrepair for months on end. Any time I visit an LA Fitness, I'm met with functional gear, and a fairly clean gym. It's unfortunate this esporta is the closest to where I live.

Possibly the worst gym I’ve ever been to. Everything is always broken and the machines are garbage. I can’t believe I’m forced to go here because the next closest one is in Westlake. Showers are in a constant state of disrepair. Some have no water. Some have only hot. ADA shower was down for months. Often only 50% are usable. It's been like this for over a year.

Just started working out here. Overall a great experience. I visit the Crocker Park location and the only thing on my wishlist is a hottub, but for the price it's hard to complain.

The only issue I have is many of the machines seem to be in need of repair (but there are still plenty to use) and I wish the sauna had a better solution to sit on. Other locations have a padding to sit on to not burn yourself, but here it's just basic wood that burns if you don't have a pad/towel to sit on.

Again, both are small complaints, but enough to take it from a 5 star down to 4. Still an AMAZING value to anyone who wants a bit more than Planet Fitness can offer.

Won’t let you cancel unless in person but you sure can sign up on their website! Also Monday-Wednesday is a nightmare. Broccoli heads take up the benches for 30 mins to an hour not working out and socializing. Only 3 benches and the place will have a full lot of cars and it has over 100 parking spots on Monday-Wednesday.

Came into town visiting for work. Always trying to find a gym to go and workout at. I’m very happy I went to Esporta. The gym is very clean and has everything I could want. Basketball, pool, sauna, racketball. This gyms better than my hometown gym. Julie is especially awesome, everyday I came in she greeted me with her kindness. Esporta is the place to be here in Ohio.
