I have no idea on earth there are this many if any 5 star reviews, outside of it being all of the “newbies” signing up and sales telling them to give a 5 star review as this place is far from it. Usually 40-50% of the treadmills are down saying “key down” or other notifications. These are “hotel quality” treadmills, ellipticals and other cardio equipment. At least 3-4 machines are down each week, they never have enough bars for the equipment, items disappear and let’s not start on the “influencers” who think they are really something. It got so bad they had to post “no filming” on the mirrors. They also continue to offer low priced memberships which also allow you to bring guests, so at $10 a month, guess what? You get 10$ quality of people. I only come here because I’m grandfathered in under LA and I can visit all locations when traveling.

They are now closing the gym at 6pm on Saturday’s and Sunday’s because “it is best for the gym”. Really? What is best is to close the gym officially or sell it to a company that actually cares. What is best is to actually fix things. What is best is actually have workers not wear t shirts of randomness and a true La Fitness shirt to show they work there. Oh that’s right, you can’t keep people past 2-3 weeks so the shirts would t be in.

The courts have since been fixed and all have lights.

The lights in 2 out of the 4 racquetball courts don't work so if there's a few other groups playing, you end up playing in a darker then ideal court. It's been like this for at least 3 weeks, maybe longer. When we asked the manager about it and some other facilities that were down he responded with contempt, as if it was absurd to expect him to know how to turn on the lights it to know the status of some repairs.

Wow has this place gone downhill. They removed all of the paper towel dispensers and spray bottles throughout the entire facility and now only have these wet wipes. They can't keep a custodian on staff and they refuse to use an overnight cleaning service to keep the place clean. The shower curtains are covered in mold and slimy residue and haven't been changed out in over a year.

The only reason for the 2 star review is that they have free weights, and it makes it better, but they are missing all kinds of weight collars and most of the equipment is not well maintained. Just really disappointing to see how this place is managed.

I heard today they are getting a new manager, so I will update this in a month or so... Historically, this place is a revolving door for managers... So I doubt anything will change .

It pains me to say that this LA fitness has quite the road to get back yo being a top gym. They had a great maintenance/facilities manager he was fabulous and place was always clean but due to how they treat staff he left. So has been a challenge to get someone who does this job and well. Though seems they now may have found someone let’s see if they stay. Instead of investing in the gym and upgrades they put in a smoothie bar??? Equipment breaks and is months before fixed. One monitor has been broke for 3 months or more….
Staff like other places has done that are fabulous and then others who are not friendly but realize this happens everywhere…. Think if they created the culture first they would attract the right people to work here

I like this gym but if you guys don’t get some overnight cleaners in here to scrub the locker room, shower, & pool floors I’m changing my membership. Vacuum the pool & jacuzzi because I shouldn’t feel grit under my feet. The lockers should be wiped out nightly. I’ve literally seen things left about for weeks at a time lately. When I first joined this fitness center, the atmosphere was great, and I enjoyed the overall vibe. However, that quickly changed when one of the personal trainers became upset after I mentioned that I couldn’t afford personal training sessions. I understand the importance of their job, but the way I was spoken to was harsh, degrading, and completely unprofessional.

To make matters worse, when I addressed the issue with management, they dismissed my concerns, stating that the trainer’s comments weren’t made with ill intentions. If management doesn’t see anything wrong with the way I was spoken to, then I’d rather not deal with this facility at all.

It’s clear that respect is lacking, and the focus seems to be more on money rather than a genuine passion for helping clients on their fitness journey. If it were truly about fitness, there wouldn’t be pressure to buy something that isn’t financially viable. A real fitness center should support and encourage clients, not make them feel uncomfortable for their financial situation.

I don't know where your money goes here. Most treadmills don't work. Most step machines dont either. Each machine has some funny quirk to it that shows it's been used for 30 years without a replacement. They don't even regularly stock their wet wipes for the machines, so you may not be able to even wipe down the machine when you're done. But at least they have a pool and classes. Maybe my money's going to their salary? I don't know.

Been a member for awhile now and absolutely loved this place at first but has went gradually downhill lately they closed the kids club and the open hours seem to keep changing so there is less and less time for me to come work out. Even went in the morning a few times and there was no staff to open was several people waiting. the same equipment has been broken down for months on end, the bathroom is out of paper towels and toilet paper more than not will come a few days in a row and same messes never been cleaned. The bathroom stalls are gross where you want to hold it till you get home even when your bladder is about to burst from drinking tons of water while working out. 😆 hoping things get better soon here looking into changing gyms

I went to this gym back when it was LA Fitness and then cancelled my membership during the pandemic. After the pandemic simmered down, it became ESPORTA.

Since then, I had used a personal trainer (they circulated through three trainers in the one year I paid for this service) which was beneficial to learn what I needed to learn.

However, I cancelled my membership again recently because I am disappointed in the cleanliness (there was a used bandaid stuck to the same cable machine for months) & the gym and the equipment is literally falling apart or the same machines are always broke. I’m just not impressed with the quality of this gym anymore. It was a tough decision to make as I really enjoyed this gym in the past.

The morning crew is getting completely SCREWED because of this teenage kid getting to sleep in. I go here every day at open. I was very hopeful for this gym. They offer free classes, have a wide variety of work out equipment, and the location is great. As time went on, however, the positives quickly began to dissipate. The equipment is often out of service (particularly the stair stepper, the ones that work move as soon as you step onto them making them tricky to get on/off), the equipment that does work are old with some of having a drag to them during use, the wet wipes to clean equipment after use are empty at the multiple locations provided throughout the gym, and the gym wasn’t even unlocked at 6am when they boast a 5am opening time. Mornings are the only time I’m able to work out during the week so unfortunately I’ll be looking for new gym options that are more reliable. Very disappointed.

I am extremely disappointed with this gym. When we signed up for the membership, the manager told us they would only charge the first and last month’s fees and then bill us every other month. Based on this information, we agreed and signed up. However, after we started working out, they charged both me and my friend an additional $66 each. It’s not about the money; it’s about transparency. I wish the manager had informed us about the annual fee upfront. It feels like we were scammed. If you’re reading this, it would be helpful to clearly explain all charges associated with membership. Gyms should treat their members with honesty and respect, ensuring that everyone is fully aware of the costs. The truth is that I hate this place, but for situations where you lose something it is quite useless to try to get it back, I lost my volleyball in the pool, days later I went to Esporta to ask, the receptionist said he would help me look for it, but the only thing he did was sit down and talk to a client, he said to wait for me for about 10 minutes and when we returned he was sitting as if nothing had happened, and the only thing he did was ask his manager, what a great lack of respect, so I would have less tried to search, but otherwise the place is good to train yourself

Only came to this gym because they open at 5 am (compared most other places being 5:30 am) and early mornings are the only time that I can get a workout in. Well, turns out the 5 am opening time is extremely flexible, and opener of the gym actually gets to decide when they come in. Twice this week they opened late (SIGNIFICANTLY LATE, not just 5 minutes), today I finally gave up at 6:10 am, to which still no one had showed up to open gym. I don’t mind the gym otherwise- although some of the cardio machines are very jank. Maintenance can also be slow to fix machines, but I was willing to look past that until today. Looking for a new gym, recommendations appreciated !

It used to be a nice place to come in and get a quick workout, but the lack of gym etiquette and the lack of enforcement of the rules has become a bit of an issue. Lots of non-employed personal trainers, people filming, and people that invade personal space. It would be nice if there was some sort of program on gym etiquette that you had to take to become a member.

Decent gym. Nice variety of equipment. Machines go down more than one would expect. It takes a long time to get them repaired. Cleanliness varies. I enjoy going here but not being locked into the personal training contract. Research.

Currently I’m visiting Cuyahoga Falls from England and yesterday I went to Esporta Fitness for a much needed session. The Fitness Centre was large, clean, spacious and airy with a large selection of machines to choose from. I’ll definitely be going there again. This place has become horrible. I told the guy at the front count they were out of paper towels in the mens room. His response was the janitor on staff is a female and no one there is aloud to stock paper towels.

I hate this gym. I signed up for a 4 month personal trainer program and they charged me twice after for the $440 payment. Was suppose to get a call back and nothing but today. Go to planet fitness

Very sad that they are getting rid of kids club, but will pay multiple fitness models to walk around in their bras with their hair down and curled. Definitely just a corporation in it to make every dollar they can! Extremely busy & oftentimes popular machines/equipment have a wait time.

Excellent, friendly staff. I stopped in as an out-of-towner and felt right at home.

There was plenty of equipment and I never waited more than 3-4 minutes for any equipment. All of the equipment was good quality and well maintained. There were 3 squat racks with brand new bars, a deadlifting area, benches, tons of dumbbells including half sizes and plenty of machines. The whole upper floor contains cardio equipment.

Highly recommended gym. One of the best commercial gym experiences I have had.
