Unhealthy bathroom and locker room facilities. Showers have broken faucets not repaired for years. Pool is awful not cleaned, can’t even see the bottom at times. Poor customer service. Weekends don’t even have staff to open it on time. Today 11/22 no one there to open it as of now (0830) even though official opening time is 0800. Photo below shows people milling around the entrance since facility hasn’t opened half hour into official opening time

Update Oct 2025, unfortunately the place is going downhill. It's always dirty, the hand sanitizer station has been broken for several weeks. They are reducing paper towels availability. Since too many partons dont wipe down machines after sweating all over, im avoiding this place for a while. I prefer the ymca in Lebanon. Once every two weeks I have business near this gym, so I pop in once and a while, but I'm seriously looking at alternatives for those times

The gym recently removed paper towels from the bathrooms and replaced them with air dryers. This doesn’t seem sanitary at all — especially in a gym environment where hygiene should be a priority. Hard to believe a fitness facility wouldn’t provide something as basic as paper towels. What are we paying for.

I’ve been with LA Fitness for over 10 years now, specifically at this location and can say that it is going downhill. I left my AirPod behind two weeks ago, I called in to see if they had found it and they did, I was out of state for work. They said they would have it for when I got back with my name on it. When I went to go pick it up, they couldn’t find it from wherever their worker had placed it. When I spoke to Kiersten, I believe what’s her name and Cody they were little to no help. Other than saying I can come back and can look through their Lost and Found bins and see if I can find it. Which I had already done.
When I told them that their employee claimed to find it and come “pick it up whenever it’ll be here for you” They pretty much said well that’s against our policy for her to say that and I don’t know what to tell you.
I get that it is not their responsibility for Items left behind, but if you claim you have it and you’re holding it for someone that is a completely different scenario and I will be pursuing a different direction. As far as the gym goes, it is nice, but it’s just employed with some people that don’t care which make it not worth it.

Zero communication from the club. The locker rooms are routinely closed with no forewarning. The sauna was recently closed for over a month with no update whatsoever until it was opened again. Very frustrating.

Female bathroom cleanliness has gone downhill since the remodel and the sauna is a disaster. Not sure what's going on with their cleaning staff. This is my main gym since the LA Fitness in the Greene closed. This location is alright, but 1. there's no female workout area which is huge for so many women, 2. It feels so closed off, there's nothing in walking distance from the gym and there's not that many windows, 3. It's much further from my house and the Fairfield location, which is closer, isn't great. Idk why in the world they would drop the Greene location, it was a perfect gym with an indoor track. I am strongly considering dropping my LA fitness membership because the only location I enjoyed was the Greene.

Great, amazing staff. Love this place. However the sauna never works and the kids that spend most of their time taking shirtless selfies in the mens locker room also sit for 30 minutes on each equipment on their phones.

They remodeled the place in a little over a week and it’s great. But the men’s sauna got remodeled, it was working for about a month, now it has not been working for a month. I got this membership for the sauna and the health benefits it supplies and they can’t give a date of when it is going to be fixed.

I was attempting to start trail here .. the greeting at door wasn’t welcoming or knowledgeable… I had a 3 day trail to work out . There was a rude guy who was attempting to set me , he didn’t activate my pass because I didn’t immediately buy membership. Why would I if I don’t know the gym ? That’s the point of a TRAIL!!! I’m looking at prices and he says “if you don’t wanna do a $54 then you’re not gonna do the others. Unknown to him I can I just refuse to spend my money when the attitude and energy is off. The manager was really nice at trying to fix the situation but after experiencing that I didn’t even want to try again . I’d say fire everyone with bad attitudes. It ruins the business reputation

Had to come to this location because my usual location is under renovation. For a bigger Gym and yes with more people than normal in the morning migrating over because of the renovations....the Centerville gym is absolutely cramped. Too many machines to close to each other and absolutely no walkway space in between the machines on the opposite aisles. Same with the free weights and dumbbell area. Very cramped together and barely any room to do your workout without having to avoid the person next to you. Also the Squat rack aisle is a plain idiotic setup. Forcing you to look at the person also doing squats directly 1 ft away from you if they happen to also be squatting and no mirrors to critique your squat nearby. For a gym that felt almost double the size of my usual gym in BeaverCreek, this one felt twice as small

I've been going here for a little over a year now and love it even more now that they just remodeled/added a ton of new equipment! I partly don't want to leave this review in order to gatekeep this location and not make it more busy, but oh well hehe. Staff are friendly, maintenance could use a little work, but overall it's a great place if you're looking for a good workout. Never used the pool or hot tub so no comment on those, but all in all love this place!

Don't waste your time and money going to this club. They can't keep up with the maintenance. They do it on purpose to save money. Constantly the wet area is down. Mainly because the manager loses money on her bonus when she spends money on maintaining the club. They just closed the club for 2 weeks less than a month ago and now the hot tub is out of service indefinitely? I would recommend anybody looking for a good gym not to join.

The gym recently did a complete remodel and it looks awesome! They got all new equipment including some new add ons like hip thrust machines and a T bar row machine for back which are some of my favorite new additions. They also have a huge section for squatting/deadlifts now with 8 or so squat racks which is awesome. The new remodel definitely opened the gym up a lot more so it doesn’t feel cramped like it use too.

I ended up calling back talk to Sarah. She was ending her shift. She was the one that had called me this morning. So I ended up calling back and talking to the manager. She didn't know who I was. I don't know who I talk to in the first part of December Regardless still the manager said I can go into any LA fitness I said I drive a 73 foot truck. It's very hard for me to make a trip. I just don't understand this type of business. I ended up telling her I'm not gonna make it in ridiculous corporate makes these rules they've lost a customer. Must say that the manager told me that she was confused on what I wanna do. It's unreal. I keep repeating take my credit card. Take my account number off of your system. Do not charge me anymore.

Unfortunately, you got another call from LA fitness completely have the wrong notes labeling me as one of their customers saying they just froze the membership on December 5 that was incorrect. The notes below explain all this it's unreal that the person calling me was in the dark. and didn't know because improper notes were taken. It's not her fault. Think about how upset I am yes as a customer that be treated like this ruining a 10 year relationship I had with them. Yes I'm PO I told him I repeatedly told him take my credit card off their system. Ridiculous to put someone through this bad business. I will be contacting corporate making them aware. It's not you're right to force somebody to be in person to cancel a membership.

One of the worst things you can do is listen to one of your customers call in and tell them at this point in our country existence about their situation with banking and finances. I drive a big rig and cannot physically be in Centerville, Ohio. I still live in Miamisburg, Ohio Unfortunately, it's the same old same old with corporations. I now take away the five star rating.
Have not used the membership in several months, but I continue to pay the $50 fee for quite some time. It's a $10 charge to keep the membership but not use the club so I told them to stop taking the money out of my account due to my situation she said I have to physically come in Wrong answer. I gave her an opportunity to delete the payment and she refused. She warned me gave me warnings wrong answer. You are falling in line with conglomerate that strong arm people financially. Good luck in future endeavors. I will never shop at your store again locally you had your chancewake up America you are part of the problem.
If somebody looks at you holding their hands out like where are you been at.? Member Matt Wheeler greeted me as I came in to the club today it's been a while. He made me start thinking I had to explain since before Covid We probably shouldn't even mention that thing anymore there's so much pain thinking about it regardless. Talked to a gentleman yesterday about having enough lungs to survive or out survive the other person so laying awake this morning in the a.m. hours I decided to get here early. I miss it. I just started doing something anything appreciate you guys. I'll be back and add to this review. Aron greeted me and said goodbye she loves music. She was in the marching band at Centerville. Decent gym. Atmosphere is not great. Staff does not make attempt to greet you upon arrival. Been like that for years. I use the other two gym in the area even though this one is only minutes from my house. Very smug atmosphere, rude and arrogant members. Configured odd, with weight room crammed in end of building.

In January 2024, I was charged $56 for a one-month membership, which I accepted as fair for the access it provided. However, just ten months later, the rate had increased dramatically to $86 for a one-month membership that offered no access to any gym in their network. This feels unreasonable and exploitative, especially since the gym hadn’t changed or improved and the young man at the front was absolutely terrible with customer service.

I've canceled my member ship 4 times and now I live in Europe and they are still charging me. I called in to cancel my member ship before I left the states and they said they will email something for me to cancel. This never came so after two tries I went in to talk to them about canceling. The person behind the desk said no problem and that he canceled my membership. I moved to Europe and got another charge from them. So I called in and the person I spoke to said that they could see that my membership was still active and that they were going to have their manager resolve the issue. I just got charged again. I've spoken to 4 people now who have told me they would help me with this. It can't honestly be that hard to cancel a membership.

We are going on a month now with intermittent hot water in the showers. Today is day 5 in a row with cold showers. Even when I called Saturday afternoon and was told that the showers were working and there was plenty of hot water, in the 30 minutes it took me to get there guess what? NO HOT WATER!!! Also, while I am at it, the sauna can best be described as pretty warm but not nearly in the area of hot. I can overlook the mold on the shower curtains, the overflowing trash cans on the weekends and the few machines that are in need of repair but man, I really miss my hot showers.

I hate that when employees comes over tell everyone in spa area what time club closes. Like member does not know what time club close. I discussed this multiple time to the management it can be managed professionally by announcing using paging system. For some reason it does not get in there head it is very disturbing when these people come over tell you what time closing. When members are already watching every minute on the clock. All I can say it is very unprofessional.

Having previously been part of an athletic club with extensive equipment and diverse class options, my expectations have been set high. Unfortunately, recent experiences at this gym fell short. Disappointment arose when an anticipated fitness class was canceled due to the instructor's absence, and the app's failure to provide timely alerts added to the frustration. Rushing to the gym for a specific class only to find crowded conditions and limited equipment usage further dampened the experience, leaving me dissatisfied. I cancelled my membership here.

Nice introduction to ESporta. They have a pool for 13 yo+, weight machines and some cardio on first floor, exercise balls, spinning, racquetball, boxing bags and price of 29.99 a month that allows you to bring two guests seems fairly reasonable. There are more machines on the second floor but no elevator which is a problem if you have a disability. Also, I saw no recumbent bikes (I love Nustep). Place was clean. Staff was nice. Lots of people were there but it did not feel crowded.

I called earlier in the day to inquire about how high their dumbbells went. I was put on hold for a brief minute while they checked. Came back on the line and was told 150. Made an appointment to go in later that day to check it out and do the free trial. After signing up for trial I walked the gym to check it out and talk to members. Dumbbells only went to 125 and there was only one of a couple of the bigger dumbbells over 100 lbs. I proceeded to do a back workout. During my workout I did not see a single person wipe down the equipment after finishing. The gym was rather dirty. I’m not sure what these recent comments are about saying the gym is clean, it is not. The equipment is on the older side but there is a good variety. The membership dues were very reasonable, but I will not be signing up as the heavy dumbbells were the main thing I was looking for. I didn’t really check out the other amenities at all as the gym is all I really cared about. Manager was very nice and seemed appreciative of my honest feedback.

I came in as a guest with my girlfriend. We had a tour and we will be definitely joining. The attitude of the manager and front desk girl was absolutely on point. This is hands down my favorite gym to work out. It’s really clean and the staff goes above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The 2 managers Corinna & Eljay always great me at the front. Im surprised they remembered me by a first name basis. I have no complaints I tell all my friends and family to join and they have nothing but greats things to say. A lot of people always talk about what is wrong with a gym but I have to say those 2 are definitely doing it the right way.

Originally joined the Beavercreek branch in 2013 and enjoyed going there.
When I moved out of the area, and no clubs were nearby, I was forced to cancel.
Since moving to Centerville, I re-joined in 2019 and was THRILLED to be back, aside from being lied to about personal training by an employee that was let go shortly thereafter when it was discovered many other folks had also been duped.
And then, it became Esporta, and things have rapidly gone downhill.
Restrooms are dirty; several pieces of equipment are rusty, or work only if you know how to 'jiggle the handle' just right to change settings.
Employees never circulate the gym since they are too busy eating, socializing or staring at their phones at the front desk. The upselling is beyond annoying.
I don't use many pieces of equipment but one go-to was the Hip Abductor. I say 'was' because that machine has been "Scheduled for Service" since June. This is the end of August. Fix it. Replace it. Get another one!
The front desk folks suggested I call the Customer Service number to complain. I did--"'Jake" told me to talk to the manager at the gym as 'he would know more about the maintenance schedule" than he would.
Fast forward two weeks. Now the excuse is 'corporate lost the repair request and had to resubmit'. When I suggested they buy a new one, the gal said "With what?" Oh--the dues we all pay? She looked at me like she didn't understand the words coming out of my mouth. /smh
I have cancelled my membership and joined another gym, so while I have another two weeks paid for--why would I go there simply to be aggravated?
Employee turnover has always been high, but now if you see the same person for a month that's a long tenure.
Esporta seems to be in financial straits--I can see why.

The gym itself is alright, good selection of machines but the floor space in between the machines is very tight. Not to mention, there are no wipes anywhere for the machines and the papertowels are far and few between. Ridiculous for a gym this size.

I've been a member here since this club opened as LA Fitness. Since becoming Esporta equipment doesn't get fixed, barbells and dumbbells don't get replaced, and I have to shop on Amazon to buy my own accessories like a vbar for rows, or cable attachments.

I’m an active duty member and my wife and I Recently moved from there. I went in showed the manager my orders with her name on it, she canceled the membership. Well my wife had a trainer and when you sign up it’s separate. This is something that they don’t tell you. You have to cancel that as well ( dumb) now she is getting threatening calls that “ if you don’t pay we will send you to collections”. Oh I can’t wait to have the conversation on Monday with the manager. If you are Military and your spouse gets a trainer make sure you cancel both…. And if you are military you should choose a better gym to go to, or even better sign up through active fit and don’t even deal with all this.

Worst customer service by Nicole smith and her manager Makayla watts. Nicole was laughing and mocking me when I was raising the concern. I m stuck at this gym because I like the facility and the proximity of the location.
2. When u complain about equipments and men locker room the team doesn’t act promptly. Example: The stretching machine by the stairs is still making squeaking noise even though I inform them few weeks ago.
3. Lastly I wanted to write down their names and the manager asked me whether I have pen. There was couple of pens lying in front of her but still, she was asking that I have a pen to write their names down. They were constantly mocking.
4. Nicole Smith, was giggling and laughing when I was talking. What a rude behavior!!!

After being a member for 4+ years, I had to cancel my membership. They changed their policies and member rates which has enticed a flood of high school students between 3-7p every day.
Between the crowding, and lack of equipment I was forced to find another gym. As a busy working professional, I just don’t have 2+ hours a day to wait around for equipment to be available for my 1 hour gym routine.

Basketball court is always closed for cleaning or maintenance.
Asking to wear a wristband for basketball that you have to check out everytime.
Machines are broken more frequently for longer periods of time.

you can’t carry your gym bag anymore because they said it takes space at the gym. Seriously! It’s not actually how they organize their equipment and compress them next to each other and leave half of the gym empty so you can watch other members walking on grass. I started thinking seriously about leaving this gym.
I have been with La fitness for a year, now with EsportA. I tried to call to ask about the new policy and contracts since there’s a difference in prices compared with La fitness. The guy on the phone didn’t give me enough time to ask my question it was less than minute. Then he said “I have another 2 customers to help, I’m trying to hold my breath “. Then he put me on hold and never back. I was shocked and felt offended, I called back and I told him that you put me on hold, and didn’t give me time to ask my question. He didn’t even apologize and he asked me how he can help me.
I asked him about the policy again, he wasn’t willing to help or provide details! For example I asked him about the price differences and his answer was” depending on what you choose “ like okay?? I’m waiting you to continue, you didn’t help me yet!

Giving 1 star because me and my boyfriend signed up for a free 3-day pass to test out the gym since we have never been there. We walk in and ask them to activate the passes for us and they told us that they are unfortunately not activating any free day passes because they had "a great membership promotion" going on right now.
Then why allow us to go online and sign up for a guest pass?! It should be advertised online that they are currently not accepting day passes because of this said promotion.
We told ElJay (sales manager) we never have been there and we aren't going to sign up for a membership if we don't know how the gym is and if he would just let us check it out for the day instead of the 3 day pass like it was. And he said "yeah I mean you guys can workout today for $20 each."
Are you kidding me?! Anything to get money from people. Why would anyone sign up for a membership when they've never been there before?!?!?! Seriously these big corporations have everything twisted. Maybe I'd sign up for a membership if you let me use my free pass and actually test out your gym and see if it is what I'm looking for!!!
So we walked out and they will never get our business when they could've.

The good: I primarily use Esporta to swim, and the pool is mostly clean and not too warm. I also use the weight machines, and can usually find what I need available with little or no waiting at 7-8 p.m. weekdays.
The bad: I can't speak for the women, but the men's locker room usually smells like a sewer, despite being cleaned at least daily. The reason is that it's carpeted, which traps moisture and allows foul-smelling stuff to grow. Another ding is general lack of gym etiquette by a few idiots (this typically occurs during peak times). If you're not actively engaged in an exercise, let someone else use the equipment for the minute or two you're resting between sets. This means: step away from the bench, rack, etc., and check your phone, adjust your volume, or contemplate life from five feet away. It's an easy way to knock your douche score down to practically zero.
Suggestions: Replace the carpet in the locker rooms with tile, disinfect daily. Educate new members on proper gym etiquette. Add backstroke flags and a pace clock like a real lap pool. Bring back the foamy soap.

They don’t honor their guest passes. Machines are always broken, when they fix, they break shortly after. If you want an experience similar to planet fitness, then this is it. I have seen two car windows broken into as I’ve walked out of the gym in the past 3 years. Be careful.

My body needs the heated whirlpool, as well as the swimming pool, although the swimming pool is usually not hot enough for my taste!!
It is very relaxing to come use the water. I have bad knees and a bad back so I do what I can. Most people are nice! That helps the spirit. The club could clean the floor more in the pool area!! The new staff are trying and they greet you when you enter and leave. That is nice!! Keep up the good work!!

He sits there and talks to his girlfriend when people need help, and then is not willing to help new members and a guest that is trying to try out the gym for the first time. The facilities are nice but overcrowded. On top of that, if you ever do sign up for any guest stuff, they bombard you with phone calls. When you do actually try and sign up they try and scam you into getting a personal trainer. Staff is the worst part about this place. Also still on covid hours so they close at 9 on Fridays and 5 on the weekend with no price reduction for reduced hours. Cheap, lazy, unhelpful is the best way to describe this place.

They need to update these reviews and remove the reviews for LA fitness since it’s Esporta now. The gym is overly crowded and has a bunch of high schoolers taking up machines that just sit there doing absolutely nothing. All the machines are moved to the middle of the gym practically 8 inches apart so there’s no privacy when you workout. Let alone if someone has COVID sitting next to you. All of the fitness classes are conducted during normal business hours so if you have a job and work during the day forget getting into a class. They also have short hours. It doesn’t have the same good vibe as it did when it was LA Fitness.

I had rated this five stars before, but I changed it to four because they have still not extended the hours from the COVID reduced hours. Esporta, please be open later, especially on Saturday and Sunday! Also, they don't have a barbell for every bench/rack, so on a busy day, it is frustrating to have a bench available, but no bar because they're all in use elsewhere, including on the green, functional training area. Please get enough bars for each area of the club, so members don't have to go hunting.
Aside from the hours and bar shortage, I really like this club. The equipment, locker rooms, sauna, etc. are all great. The facilities are kept clean and organized. The staff are friendly.

Been going to this gym for almost 2 months now. Nothing but good things to say. Our trainer Rob is great and really seems to care. The staff, whether it be LJ or Lucas or anyone else working the front desk, are always friendly. (LJ is one of the best customer service workers I've dealt with!) The gym is always clean and the staff helps with any issues you may have. No hidden fees on the memberships either. Only complaint and it's not really the gyms fault but people get a little wild on the basketball court, so if you plan on getting a membership for the basketball court be warned... some of the people who play take it way too seriously and way too far. But, again that is not the gyms fault. Great gym, and already have but will continue to recommend to friends!

This was an amazing gym when it was LA fitness but after esporta took over it is horrible! The entire staff is rude and practically insult you when you come in, the guest sign in is ridicules and a waist of time and paper they use to put your guest into the computer for a fast and paperless login but now they require three different forms of contact so they can send your guest texts and emails every day to sign up and make you fill it out every time you come in. The locker rooms are not clean and they do not inforce and conduct codes, lots of creeps that make you feel uncomfortable but the staffing is the biggest issue there by far! None helpful and rude!
