Justin and Myla are truly masters of their craft and excellent instructors. Both highly skilled dancers, they are extremely patient and tailor their teaching to the student(s) before them. They consider the individual’s needs, personal goals and are adept at giving constructive feedback down to the smallest but essential details. If you are looking for a place to dance in Cleveland, I highly recommend LeSalsa. People are so welcoming, amazingly sweet, and super fun to dance with. People come to class as a couple or alone and we all have fun. I have taken Bachata and Salsa lessons in NYC, California, South America, and Europe, and Laurel is hands down the best teacher I've had. Here's why: she focuses on the leader. It takes thought, strategy, and serious commitment to be a good leader. Laurel gets that. She doesn't blame the follower for the faults of the leader. She works, works, works on teaching leaders to signal properly so followers don't have to be psychic to be good dancers. Highly recommended.

Rueben is one of the best dance instructors in Cleveland. He explains and demonstrates so well, and he is always positive and friendly. Myla is beautiful and helpful, and I learn so much just by watching her dance. They welcome students to the studio by name, and they mentor their dancers like they are family. I love Laurel's bacchata classes, she is organized and clear, and irreverent and fun - all at the same time! Definitely a great place to dance!

If they can make me competent as a dancer, they can do it for anyone! I'm taking lessons as a surprise for my wife and Ruben & Myla have been fantastic every step of the way (pun intended). I really am an uncoordinated oaf but they're patient and skilled and most important of all, they make me feel comfortable. If you want to learn a few new moves, this is the place to come. After every lesson, they demonstrate everything slowly with narration so I can record it on my phone and review/practice at home.

I couldn't recommend them more and plan to keep taking lessons every so often to keep improving. Don't think about taking lessons -- do it!

Lesalsa has become my home away from home. The owners, Justin and Meihla, have created a truly supportive environment in which I can learn, grow and take risks as I continue to improve my dance skills. These last few months Meihla directed the Ladies Bachata team... Her skills, dedication, patience and encouragement successfully led us through multiple performances and our first competition! Overal the classes were fun but awkward. Having random strangers switch around partners holding hands seems like a bold move during the height of the pandemic. We had signed up for the introductory deal for unlimited basic classes. Only got to go twice because my fiancé and I got Covid. (not implying we got it from here. The timing wasn’t right) The classes auto renewed after a month not a big deal but we weren’t able to use it because we still had Covid and long term symptoms. Tried to cancel the renewal online so we wouldn’t be charged again. Ends up Vagaro the appointment service they use does not allow you to cancel your own membership. It has to be done by the business. Weird but ok. I emailed from two accounts since we had two memberships, messaged on Instagram, and went to a class to talk to a instructor to see if they could help us. They could not help us. She called the owners and left a very detailed voicemail, we heard the whole thing. In the end the membership renewed again which was really annoying. About a week later got a generated email saying the classes were refunded. Never got a verification of cancellation I had to look on vagaro for that. The main reason I’m leaving 1 star is because when my fiancé called them out they tried to turn it around saying that they couldn’t get a hold of us and that they were traveling for a dance competition. I have not heard a single work from them. All of my responses from them were pre generated emails via vagaro. Also your instructor didn’t mention you were out of town. And if you are going to be out of town competing then maybe leave someone it charge of the business. It’s not that difficult to have decent customer service but they showed that weren’t up to the challenge.

We used LeSalsa last year just by happenstance. We saw an ad for a free drop in class and had a blast. Then we asked some friends to try it and they really loved it as well.

We told them about our upcoming wedding, and they offered an awesome package to teach us whatever song and dance we preferred. It was amazing. We picked the song and completely trusted them to capture what we wanted for our dance. I believe we practiced about 4-5 weeks in total and every minute was worth it. Everyone loved it, and so did we! Definitely use them for fun weekly classes, or for lessons with your partner (or without).

Everything about this studio is great, from the owners who go above and beyond to build an amazing place where I feel safe, confident, an supported, the fellow students that are friendly and supportive of each other(mostly when my feet just do not want to get orders :) ), to all the instructors who are knowledgeable, patient, and are always available to answer my questions.
It has been such an amazing experience the last year I have attended their classes starting from zero knowledge of latin rhythms, the support and encouragements from owners, instructors, and fellow students has been incredible.
I really like that I can progress on my own speed, I can focus on areas that are important to me specifically without being pushed on leveling up or meeting calendar dates, they really pay attention to every student (despite we are many), and take the time to give feedback.
This is a place that completely transform the way I see myself as a dancer and that make me wish it's Monday again so I can go to class.

LeSalsa is an incredible place. I started here at the end of summer with zero Latin dance experience (and really, no dance experience since a few years of tap lessons as a child). In the few months since then, I've come so far! I'll credit that to Justin's teaching as well as the supportive environment of fellow dancers. Everyone has been so encouraging! We push ourselves and rise to new challenges, laughing along the way.

Coming in as a beginner was not intimidating because of the way Justin breaks down the lessons and I felt equipped to take my new skills social dancing in no time. As my skill levels improved, the difficulty of the progressive classes increased, too, so I feel consistently challenged.

If you're ready to start dancing or ready to build on your existing skills with a phenomenal instructor, this is the place to be.
