Really expensive and do not offer any special amenities. Equipment is outdated and is very busy at times. Same exact gym as the planet down the street.

I recently asked how much their membership is to try and join back and keep in mind I joined about six years ago and it was $46 a month. They told me it was $109 a month now. Absolute rip off especially when older people get a free membership and just sit on the machines. Not worth it and lifetime will go out of business if they keep this up. Seen multiple people from lifetime at my new gym cause they're ripping people off.

I take classes regularly at this location and the one up north a little ways. In the late morning there are very different crowds at each of these locations. I feel quite young going to the UA location.

It's quite a bit smaller than the Dublin location, and only has the core offerings, but as a gym it gets the job done and then some.

The standard weights and cages are available, though the cages are in a different area from the more expansive sets of dumbbells so it's not as easy to go between them.

Also the area with the cages doubles as a workout space for some of the classes so you'll need to work around those.

Most classes are in sync with all other locations so you can go between them, but the equipment is a bit different. Larger locations have dedicated places for premium classes with audio systems, updated equipment, workouts posted on TVs, and timers tied in to central systems. UA... not so much. The instructors take you through the same stuff, just on a whiteboard, and with some slightly more dated equipment. Sometimes space is a bit of a premium, but it's never really been an issue.

There's also a much lower key atmosphere. Folks are there to get some movement in, more than a handful are doing serious workouts, but it the older crowd takes it a bit easier.

If you take classes, you'll see different crowds. The more intense classes draw slightly fewer, but younger people. For example the Tuesday morning yoga class is much less intense than Thursday's at the same time and the Tuesday class is always full, where Thursday has room (I think Thursday is a much better workout, and is slightly longer).

The men's locker room is a functional size, but during busy times can be a touch crowded. It has all the standards you need, but I rarely opt to use it more than to change into a dry shirt so others can have the space.

The kids are is also nice, but basic. My daughter isn't as excited to go there as she is for the other location, but she has enjoyed herself well enough the few times she went.

Overall the staff is great. They're friendly, and willing to help. The crowd isn't quite as showy, but are stuffy in other ways. Premium classes are smaller and slightly less premium, but not such a difference that you should avoid them. There's no pool, cafΓ©, or work space, but it's otherwise functional.

Great gym overall minus the VERY repetitive and stupidly loud music, can over hear it with my headphones in and playing music. Has gotten even louder if it were possible....

Literally the best managed life time in Ohio (I have been to them all.) Staff is AMAZING.

My only complaint is that they have 2 separate giant rooms for classes but the personal trainers will take up swathes of space in common areas privately training groups of 4-10 people at a time. Lame to pay 150+ a month and not be able to use smith machines/rowing machines/only open common space etc because of (additional upcharge) personal training. Not sure why they don't just use the huge classroom or large pilates room that are almost always empty.

Not at all what I thought I was signing up for and not worth almost $100 a month. Feels like a planet fitness. The carpeted floors are disgusting and outdated, it’s so small and cramped, there is hardly any room in the lifting area. The locker rooms are nice but that’s it. I’m transferring my membership to the Dublin location ASAP.

Price hike is up to $107 a month, I was grandfathered in at $80 but still not worth it to wait at machines. If you went and bought your own equipment it would pay itself off in two years and you’d have everything you bought for life. Staff is all pretty cool, cleanliness is average, definitely some major dust build up on certain things but overall okay.

Really nice resistance machines to work out most muscle groups. Nice free weight area. Staff members are nice people. If you are over 65, you can join for free with Silver Sneakers as part of your Medicare Supplemental Insurance. Plenty of parking outside. Very close to a good Chinese restaurant.

So bad, I came to this place to visit the gym to see which machines they have before to get the membership, but they started questions like cops, said what is your name, phone number, email address i provide all these but they requested photos ID, I said it is in my wallet outside in the car, but they told me no we can't show you the gym. It is not a White House to do all these. Definitely, I want to get my ID, but the manner they talked with me was not professional, zero customer service. I'm a body builder for a long time. I do work out.
Not recommend place.

Updating for current situation. My children attend all day summer camp here every summer and we have had a great experience! With an indoor and outdoor pool, rock climbing, and a decent counselor to camper ratio, plus life guards, my kids have fun and stay safe. They do field trips off-site on Fridays and the kids have gotten to do so many summer bucket list trips, COSI, the zoo, lazer tag, bowling, a farm visit. Swim lessons are even included twice a week. It is a wonderful program. Thanks Lifetime Dublin!

Overall a fantastic gym. I’ve never had a gym that had every piece of equipment that I want and more. Tons of cardio equipment as well. Broken equipment is fixed quickly. Eucalyptus steam sauna and a regular sauna. Clean gym and friendly for beginners or experienced lifters. Can get busy in the evenings, but no where close to as bad as the Dublin lifetime. I’m not sure how the reviews on this place are so low. It’s without a doubt the best gym in the area if you’re willing to pay the price. The average review on this place is low on google so I’m here to add another 5 star. Some people just love to complain about nothing. I’ve never used childcare or any of the classes so I can’t review those.

My two boys now love to go the childcare center when Shannon S. is working. Shannon is amazing with my two energetic boys. I noticed they were playing games and even painting which they’ve never done before. My oldest even asked me to find out when Shannon is working next so we can plan for next week. (My oldest wasn’t previously on my membership but I added him because of Shannon.) It is a great feeling as a parent that they love the childcare center while I’m working out.

The gym is nice but only 1 staff member could keep my kids entertained for a whole workout and she only works 1 day a week. If you say you can watch kids for 2.5 hours you should keep to it. I also wasn't impressed with the personal training. One canceled extremely last minute by email. The other never taught me how to use the equipment which is what I asked for. And the memberships are super expensive for no real amenities. My kids are 2 but weren't allowed to do arts and crafts which they do at home. πŸ™„ But I had to pay $110/month for them to be at the gym as well in order for them to never be watched past 10 minutes.

I'm visiting from out of town and was able to visit Life Time Fitness using a guest pass. The facility is impeccable! Highlights include;

- Courteous and friendly front desk staff. Amy in particular helped to make sure I could use my guest pass without any issues.

- A vast selection of cardio and weight machines, all in excellent condition and well spaced out to accommodate social distancing.

- All areas of the gym were thoroughly clean and sanitizing stations are located every few feet to help members and guests keep things clean.

Finally, the manager Patrick was very accommodating and welcoming which is especially commendable in these COVID times. He took the time to email me with all the information I needed concerning my guest pass and additional details about the gym COVID precautions. If I was local this would absolutely be the gym of my choice. Thank you all very much!

This place is more hidden than the other lifetime gyms around here. It still gets busy but it's much more manageable. The workers for the most part are friendly and engaging. I'm not going to lie though it seems like some of the trainers are more worried about getting you to sign up than actual help you achieve your goals. It is very clean and I'd say 90% of the machine/equipment is working correctly. I would say it is worth paying a bit extra for the membership with the quality you receive.

I like this gym a lot, but the front desk is RUDE. ALL of them. The training staff is amazing, its just the front desk people. They also switched the stair stepper to this new state of the art one, which is HORRIBLE. Bring the old ones back, whoever made these new ones has obviously never stepped foot on a stair master. They closed the steam room at 10:00 pm when the hours are 11:00 pm. (Sometines earlier) This happened before but I thought it was corrected. I called the front desk, " I don't know and no one is here to help"
I have been to many Ltf, and they dont shut down suanas and steams rooms early. Additionally, there is no water fountain in the men's locker room.. be prepared to drink shower water if you forget your water bottle..

I went here because the one in Dublin was broke (No warning or notice on the door) The Dublin steam room 'is very filthy in the evenings literally covered in dirt.. members shaving in the steam room, others wearing large amounts of cologne. Obviously there is poor management.. Looking to cancel membership.

When Lifetime Fitness took over the gym, they made frivolous upgrades and cranked the prices. If shiny marble and cherry-esque locker rooms is all that is important to you, then enjoy.
The staff is very hit or miss in friendliness and competence. You never know what the actual policy is.
The gym is kept rather clean but the cardio machines with televisions are also hit or miss. Some have horrid pictures and the audio is a guessing game for which machine actually works.
Two wonderful experiences I’ve had:
1) I signed up originally purchasing a slew of β€œpoints” that can be redeemed for personal training and/or workout options that are not included in your membership, such as pilates. I was basically scammed out of over $100. I used most of my points for personal training. The personal trainer I was ASSIGNED after requesting someone else, cashed in my points and then told me just to schedule with her whenever I wanted to. This was done in her mind because that way I wouldn’t have to worry about my points expiring (which they do, even though you paid for each of them). Then the trainer quit. And my points went with her. I never received one minute of personal training from anyone. The small amount of points I had left (because they couldn’t cover a personal training session) I requested for them to go to Pilates. However, the manager at the time really wanted me to do a small class session (probably because they were having a hard time filling them), I said I really wanted to try the pilates. Well, I was signed up for the group class anyway, and only found this out after contacting the Pilates instructor on why I hadn’t been reached out-to to schedule my session. And after all that, my points expired. So over $100, just flushed down the toilet. Didn’t matter how many times I attempted to reedem them I was basically ignored with a β€œI’ll have to look into it” and never would hear anything.
2) After being a member for many years, I decided to cancel my membership as we are moving out of the city. When looking into cancelling so I could time it right, as I knew you would have to pay for an extra month after you cancelled, I was told you simply paid your next month in full. After cancelling (with a different employee) I was told it was 30 days from the time you cancelled and your rate would be prorated. Both would work, but not when you are told one way then make a decision based on that information, and then sign off your membership and are told another - leaving you without a membership for an entire month you still wanted one. But after you sign it’s a done deal. Also when cancelling I asked about any fees or anything else to be aware of, I was told no. After checking my bank account I was actually being charged more money than I had been paying for my membership all along, even though it should have been a prorated amount, equaling less. I went into the gym and the Account Manager had no clue why it was like this and that it was very strange. I was told she would have to contact the Manager (of something or other) and that I should hear directly from her (the manager) a couple days later. An entire week went by and again I am having to follow up. The manager did not apologize or say anything to the fact that no one did their job for an entire week. After looking me up in the system she simply said, it’s because you paid a discounted rate every month and for the last month you have to pay the full membership price. So for my last month I had to pay more than I had been paying the entire time I was a member (for years might I add). I said I was not told this and it was a very unwelcome surprise. She just said that the Account Manager who cancelled my membership who happened to be the same one I met with to review the charges, probably was unaware of the way it worked. Well that’s splendid. At the end of the day she was unwilling to work with me in anyway, never apologized and basically left me with a β€œtough luck.”
So Happy Spending!

I had a great experience here! The account manager Mary Ellen really went above and beyond to help me.
The equipment is in great condition and there is a lot available. Several different types of cardio machines and you never have to wait to use one. Lots of strength machine options too. They have group exercise classes, personal training, and a child watch area, but I did not utilize any of those services. The locker rooms are clean and you can always get a locker. Plenty of TVs and many of the cardio machines have their own attached.

I'm NOT HAPPY! Yes I give them 5 stars out of courtesy and because the place is never crowded, very clean, and the staff is very very friendly and knowledgeable. The problem is, I've been working out for over 9 days and I see no results. In fact they made me gain 3 pounds. Some of their weights are too heavy and I can't use them yet I'm being charged to use all the weights!!! I also get tired when I run on the treadmill real fast... even faster than when walking...and you won't like their sauna if you wanna cool down. Scam Alert!

Sales rep flat out lied about that rates saying the 70$ on screen wasn't accurate and it would only be 40$ a month. When I asked about the 40$ rate she just said I would be able to get it for next month, like it takes 30 days to enter something in to the computer. Made them aware I was only looking for a gym for a short amount of time and made no mention that it takes 30 days to cancel so they can charge you an extra month. This should be your last option if looking for a gym because it's clearly all about the money.

I have been frequenting this location since it was California Fitness circa 2006 and into Lifestyle Family Fitness and now Lifetime. Firstly, the location is great - and as the names have changed, the service and expectations has as well. The equipment is second to none. You can find any design of cardio machine, dumbbell, etc. to suit your fancy. I would highly recommend the training staff as well. Many highly accredited trainers such as Jack that have their PhD in exercise science/nutrition/etc. Truly passionate about what they do! All in all - the rates are what they are. The cancellation policy and contract are simple enough and it is a far cry from the debacle of other fitness clubs in Columbus that wrongfully lied to their customers. Think UrbanActive. If you want a clean, friendly place to work-out, Lifetime Fitness on Henderson is your best bet.

I've exercised here every Christmas for about 6 years while visiting family for the holidays. Lifetime took it over about a year ago and remodeled it recently (late 2012). It is OUTSTANDING. They added and changed tons of machines (no pun intended). If you're a tv addict EVERY cardio machine has it's own tv and there are a LOT of them. There is a wide variety of weight and pulley machines and an expanded stretch/train/tension-band area. Free towels, friendly staff, granite countertop upgrades, u-name-it. I recommend this place. 5 out of 5 stars.
