This place is broken. A constant stream of “it’s not working . . . it’s down . . . “ When you ask when will they get something up and running, it’s usually “have no idea . . .” It’s not just one thing either, it’s everything: workout area and equipment, steam/sauna, pool, whirlpool . . . it’s everything. If you’re looking for a gym, get your exercise and RUN FAST from this place!

This is a good facility with lots of amenities. However, my main complaint is the hours. How are they only going to be open until 6pm on weekends? Most gyms are open until midnight like planet fitness. They really need to change their hours if they want business.

Some good classes but they don’t take sanitation (e.g. COVID & other flu viruses) seriously. I only do yoga classes there. Argie has a great class and Melanie’s is good. They really helped me recover from hip issues. At the end of 2024 I caught Covid right after doing two classes there (I’d gone nowhere else in the prior week & I live alone & work from home). I called two or three times to let them know and nobody really seemed concerned. However, there is an elderly population in the yoga classes & I was very concerned about the spread of COVID there. They don’t clean the mirrors very often, which is disconcerting, but that is not the thing that spreads infectious diseases. After I called a couple of times, I asked to put my membership on hold during cold/flu/winter Season because I couldn’t bring myself to go over there after getting so sick. After I sent two formal email responses (in addition to the 3 phone calls), no one EVER specifically responded to my question about whether they’re sanitizing the gym (e.g., using alcohol cleaner on yoga blocks, mats, the floor and door handles). I realize we are not official officially in a pandemic, but there’s 💯 a spike in COVID & the flu, and I think they should be more proactive and conscientious about this. They are, after all, in a hospital building and there is a large elderly membership population. I received mild acknowledgments like “ Thank you for letting us know and we appreciate your feedback,” but after 3 phone calls and two official emails no one EVER responded to me direct request for an answer nor explained if/how they sanitized the studio room. Until I get some formal/official response and reassurance, I probably won’t renew my membership. I feel the people running the place (albeit pleasant) are out of touch and negligent in this regard. I always reach out to the business first to give them an opportunity to respond before posting a negative to Google review. But after five times, I’ve had it. Potential members need to know this before signing up.

The front desk staff here are super nice, with obviously a few exceptions as with any other place. I've not had personal training here, but what training I do see, the trainers are completely unengaged, looking at their phone or talking with other staff members while with their client. A lot of the machinery is broken and)or old. But the locker rooms are absolutely fabulous! Always really clean. Unfortunately cannot say the same for the showers and pool...both of which are disgusting. I saw the same hairs in the same shower stall and near the hot tub stay there for a WEEK. The sauna seat has been broken forever..it seems like a lot of maintenance just doesn't get done with any of the "pool house" features. They also offer a parents night out once a month - but the last time we went, staff were audibly complaining about the hours and how long the kids were there. That doesn't make any parent feel great about leaving their kids there. Change the hours if its not working for the staff, it's pretty easy. With that being said, I do love that they have a kids club (complete with an indoor little jungle gym and kids size weight machines!) so that parents can get a workout it while the kids play. Overall I do like the vibe at the gym, it seems most people that have a membership are truly there to stay healthy, everyone is respectful and just kind of go about their own business. It's a pretty relaxed environment compared to other gyms. If I didn't have a discount through work though, I'm not sure I would pay full price for it.

5 years later and the A/C still doesn't work well. The place is even more in need of a complete overhaul now (tape on the floor holding carpet in place etc.) Air Conditioning does not work well....hot and humid inside which is bad for working out! The overall facility is old and in need of an overhaul but the A/C problem is the biggest issue by far! On the bright side the staff is friendly and easy to work with.

I went in to cancel my membership and realized I was still being charged several months later. I went in to discuss with the membership staff and after waiting 30 minutes a staff member came out and asked if “I was waiting for her,” she didn’t introduce her self like a normal person would. She then told me to read the contract I signed and that if I didn’t want to be charged I should have cancelled within x number of days of my anniversary date. The contract is written this way but the staff member didn’t have to be so rude and condescending. I don’t recommend this gym; there are much better/cheaper gyms around with much more pleasant staff that have better customer service skills.

Just an incredible value. When I first took a tour of the gym and saw the robust fitness class schedule, plentiful equipment, and the beautiful pool, I felt sad because I thought I couldn’t possibly afford to be a member, yet when I was told the monthly rate, it knocked my socks off! I could definitely afford it!

One of the things that I like is you get a really nice community vibe, the people who work at the gym have a great relationship with the regulars.

I am so very happy to call this place in my home.

The club is a very nice facility, although not cheap. I have been going for years but am now reconsidering my membership. I had called early June to put my membership on hold and they did not do what I was told they would do over the phone. When I received a billing for a month they said I would not be billed for they did not rectify the problem to my satisfaction.

The cancellation policy is criminal ! Beware and read the small print . Was a member for 8 years wanted to cancel and had to wait the following year 120$ a month . When speaking with the staff about the year long renew the comment was “ you signed the contract “. This place traps you more than house lease agreement .

Totally agree with the others regarding cancellation policy. Their onerous terms are stated in the Membership Agreement in tiny print, so buyer beware:

"The term of this agreement is one year. This agreement will renew automatically each year, without notice for another full year, on the "Anniversary Date", unless written notice of cancellation is received by either you or the Center at least thirty (30) days prior to the anniversary date ... The notice must be dated, signed and sent certified mail."

It's a gym membership for Pete's sake, not an apartment lease.

Of the 3 Lifestyles fitness centers this one is the older and lesser of them. Needs updates for sure, but the main dislike I have for it is not the facilty or anything that is within their control. We love the Lifestyles facility and staff.
The pools are outstanding and the lifeguards generally efficient at keeping lanes flowing.
The shower rooms could be cleaner at times, but generally are good. The workout facilities are excellent.
