I didn’t feel comfortable undressing in the women’s locker room with a man (dressed as a woman) in there. Spoke to membership services and they said that they tolerate that. So I ended up canceling my membership because I don’t feel comfortable. Which meant that I had to have a doctors note to cancel.

This is such a great gym! I tried this place out over my usual gym I visit when I’m in town. And I’m so glad I did! The early morning front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. There is a huge variety of equipment and lots of space between them. The equipment was all in great condition. There were plenty of treadmills, bikes, ellipticals, and rowers, as well as an indoor track upstairs. The free weight room was a little small and crowded with equipment, but because there weren’t very many people in the gym, I had no problems working out up there. There is a basketball court, pool, and rock wall, and a fun play area for kids in childcare. This will definitely be the gym I come back to next time I’m in town!

Reminds me of Scandinavian fitness center from the 80s.
Overpriced, one year commitment with "ad ons."
Even has a swimming lesson ad on where the parents are teaching their kids and the instructor never gets in the water.
Unimpressed

This is the best gym in the Stow area. Staff is very professional. The price of the standard membership is a little bit more than other gyms, but it’s totally worth it for what you get. Their pool area has about 4 different pools to choose from depending on what your doing. They even have a aqua therapy pool, and a large hot tub. Another gear thing about this place is how large it is. Even at 5 pm on a weekday it doesn’t feel crowded- just because of the size of the facility. It’s also a Cleveland clinic building so it is well taken care of/ cleaned.

The price is reasonable. Staff friendly. Locker rooms great. But the sauna and steam room go down in the men’s locker room often. Like once a week. And the hot tub goes down once a month it seems like. And there are machines that haven’t been fixed for over a month like a row of treadmills. Bc of this, I won’t give it 5 stars.

The gym is clean; the staff is friendly, accommodating, and provides quality service. I want to shout out to Jon Sharpen. He's a good employee and a cool dude. The Stow location, in my opinion, is the best!

I've been waiting for the right time to write this review. I know that in this day and age people do take online reviews seriously especially if they're genuinely considering doing business with the company and let's be honest, majority rules. I never actually looked at the other reviews left for lifestyles (Cleveland clinic). But let's start there, the first thing to know is that this is wholly owned by the Cleveland clinic, I can't speak for the other locations but I can speak for the one that I go to 5 days a week in stow. First their equipment is exceptional, everything is new, nothing is beaten up or not well maintained. I hear the price is extremely reasonable, even less than large commercial gyms. My wife is a Cleveland clinic employee, this is a perk for all employees. It is bewildering to me that every single employee at the Cleveland clinic does not utilize this gym, or all the other ones that they operate for nearly the sole purpose of helping their staff stay healthy. Just having a gym at your disposal may not get you in shape or help you lose weight. That's where their staff comes in, I have been a member of summa wellness center and lifetime fitness for over a decade combined. I can honestly tell you that the fitness staff at lifestyles is in a different league. First of all, these are not people that follow you around the gym pestering you about getting personal training. They're kind and helpful. Nobody makes anyone feel uncomfortable in this place, and that especially goes for the staff. It would be nice if they made a few more rounds in the free weigh area because the 18 and 19 year old little boys who work out there sometimes don't put their weights away... But that is honestly the only complaint that I have.

What could anyone really ask for in a fitness center? Clean well lit facilities, state-of-the-art equipment, TVs on almost every treadmill and elliptical trainer, both steam rooms and saunas in the locker rooms, a lap pool and a leisure pool, full size basketball court, heavy bag, speed bag, agility bag, the list goes on endlessly. They even have a rock climbing wall that people use. In short if you're a employee of the Cleveland clinic and not using this, shame on you. If you're thinking about joining a gym, absolutely give this place a shot. You'll be glad that you did. If not quit and go to lifetime.

I love it here, the dependent hours are difficult.you can only swim with your kids at certain times they they schedule a class at that time too so you have to get out. They cut into dependent hours with classes that aren't for dependents so you have really limited choice to swim in the morning with little kids.then swim meets in the evening and they aren't even allowed there from 12-4 pm so maybe natatorium is a better choice if you have kids

Top of the line facility with highly trained staff and friendly service. Excellent aquatic facilities. Have used their personal trainers and have always been very happy with their knowledge of how to address challenges and the results. Ruth in particular is an excellent trainer if you have had an injury and are trying to build back your strength and ability.

So nowadays you have to schedule for babysitting. I can’t workout without it. I call literally every day and have left messages to schedule babysitting and no one ever calls me back or answers the phone! I am so disappointed, I just want to exercise at the gym again.

They pretend to have childcare but you have to call two days ahead of time to schedule it and nobody ever actually answers the phone. You have to wear a mask while working out 6 ft from everyone. Complete nonsense. I can’t wait until our contract ends.

The mask mandate is too much. Lifestyles is the only gym that requires a mask not only while working out but on cardio equipment. I saw people near death on the machines. I will not renew my membership when it ends next month. It's irresponsible and dangerous to require a mask on cardio machines. Pay 4x the average fee to join and 2 to 3x the avg monthly gym cost that will potentially jeopardize your life and well-being on cardio equipment by smothering You while running. Everyone should cancel their membership and beware of this reckless policy.

β˜… 1

Enforcing a mask policy on cardio equipment that exists no where in a state mandate is berserk and dangerous. I won't be coming back until this is corrected.

Source: Google

Nn Nn

β˜… 2

It’s an okay gym, but the mask policy does not comply with the state mandate. They make you wear a mask on cardio equipment and throughout the gym. Having a policy and following guidelines is one thing but forcing guests to wear a mask on strenuous workout equipment is more dangerous than COVID-19. It seems to me the gym only cares about the optics of the β€œmask up” and not the health or welfare of the people working out. I already found a new place to workout at that does not have such a careless policy.

This is the best gym I have ever been a member of! The staff is interactive and friendly with you. They know everyone by name! They are always available if you need help with anything. The facility is amazing, clean, and have everything you could need at a gym, in my opinion.

What I love most is that they really care about the people and their fitness journeys. They have free/informational classes for members packed with great info to help you help yourself. They are an amazing team, they’re innovative, and inspiring!

The worst facility ever. Staff gets mistreated by membership. Members are getting ripped off with their membership with very little available to them. Management and HR does whatever they want and mistreats members/staff. Their motto is they have a gym next to an emergency. So if you get hurt again they have their own emergency to save you. However if they are a good gym they would not need an emergency room, they would keep the members safe
