I joined Living Lean 2 months ago and it has been THE BEST thing I have done for myself in years! I was intimidated to start, but on day one, Mark and Kelly were both there to walk me through every exercise. The first week I was so sore, but they kept pushing me to keep going. I’m so happy I did!
The atmosphere is fun, energetic and encouraging in every way. No one judges, just pushes you to work harder. I have gained so much strength and confidence in such a short time. When I think I can’t lift heavier, the coaches definitely prove me wrong! I would encourage everyone to sign up to try it out. I was hooked on DAY ONE and I know you will be too! Thank you Living Lean!!

UPDATE: I absolutely love dropping in at Living Lean when I travel to CLE. I enjoy getting a chance to challenge myself and I always learn something new in the form a slight change to my form that unlocks benefits or corrects… today Mark showed me how to fix my lunges. I avoid them because for the last 5 years they hurt my knees. Translation: I’ve been doing them wrong for 5 years!!! Today I enjoyed my first pain free lunges (LOTS OF THEM!!!!) Check out Living Lean if you want REAL coaching and not just the same old Franchise Fitness experience.
OCTOBER 2024: This was hands-down one of the best strength training class I’ve ever taken! Founder Mark Derry has invested years in building the Living Lean program and it truly shows. He coached the session I took, which was refreshing. So many other facilities are staffed by trainers who have limited experience and just run through the motions of a corporate-programmed session without really understanding how it impacts the body. A true coaching experience is hard to find! Every movement was carefully explained, and form was monitored and adjusted to ensure proper technique.
From the moment I walked in this felt like I had just made a dozen new friends. Everyone was so welcoming - no cliques and no egos!
Anyone who is serious about improving their health and body, be it building strength, working through an injury, or transforming your body - I strongly recommend you try Living Lean!

Phenomenal mix of “challenge” and group accountability.
The team at living lean not only knows what they’re doing but provides the right support and accountability to ensure you stay on track.
Finding their 5:45am class was a God send due to my busy work and family schedule that inevitably leaves me feeling like I can’t work out. Doing it first thing with a great group of 20 committed individuals has been super helpful.
And another great perk is that I can shower before leaving for work in a clean bathroom that is well maintained and not need to go back home.

Absolutely Amazing Gym Experience!
I can't say enough wonderful things about this gym! If you're looking for a place that emphasizes proper exercise form and uses a circuit style weight training, look no further. Mark (owner) along with his trainers are incredibly dedicated and attentive, ensuring every individual gets the support and motivation they need.
What truly sets this gym apart is the sense of camaraderie and empowerment among the strong people who train here. The atmosphere is uplifting, and the patrons are friendly and welcoming. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or just starting out, you'll feel right at home.
Another excellent aspect is that Mark can always find exercise modifications when you're recovering from an injury. This personalized approach ensures that you can continue your fitness safely and effectively.
After every workout, I leave feeling like an accomplished bad ass. This gym has literally transformed my life & this 50ish yr old body. Highly recommend!

I was going to make a post after my first time going back around Thanksgiving, but I couldn't stay away! Mark and his team of coaches are fabulous! As a bigger-bodied person, gym-timidation is a real phenomenon and I was nervous going to what felt like a more serious gym. When I first arrived, I was met with nothing but kindness and excitement that I was there. If you're like me, then you may be a former high school/collegiate athlete who is no longer able to do what they once were for whatever reason (kids, injury, not enough time), but the group fitness class was exactly what I needed. It allows you to do your own work while receiving the coaching you need (and push if they think you're taking it too easy). The modifications/options for certain movements were great and they truly help you understand movements and train your body to be functionally strong for longevity. It's been six months, I've lost weight and inches all over and the community is something I look forward to everyday.
I highly recommend checking out Living Lean if you want to learn how to improve your health and personal habits in a supportive environment!

I am so happy that I found this gym. The workouts are incredible and take all of the guesswork out of what I need to do each day. I show up and have great support from the trainers who always patiently show me how to properly execute each move. The environment is fun and supportive. Members cheer each other on and celebrate in one another’s successes. I wish I had found this gym years ago.

I belonged to a big gym, that I loved, to help strengthen my body, which was in bad place due to aging, stress, etc.., After a year I was feeling stronger but stagnant in lifting beyond 12 lbs and not feeling like I was reversing what felt was osteoporosis settling in. I set out trialing different gyms within a ten mile radius of my home. That brought me to Living Lean. I trialed a few times over the summer and I felt it for days afterwards. Not one other gym made me feel like I worked hard enough to make such an impact. Surprisingly, not even CrossFit. I was also influenced by the trainers making sure that all exercises are done properly. I’m not new to exercising, and I am a personal trainer (not practicing one), and I have not had one person tell me to change my form quite this often. I may have felt like rolling my eyes a few times but dang, it makes such a difference. Enough for me to be able to increase my weights a few times as the proper posture made the exercise easier. It’s only been a month but I have already grown much stronger and using heavier weights than I have in a long time. I look forward to increasing my strength and reverse the aging process with the help of Marc and his team.

I started coming to Living Lean about 4 years ago, looking for a change after running marathons and trying other cardio gyms. Before coming to LL, I had never tried deadlifting, power cleans, or attempted a single arm snatch. Mark Derry and his team of amazing trainers teach proper form to improve confidence and ability. Now, I am a regular and have seen my strength and endurance vastly improve since stepping into the gym. If you are willing to be disciplined and make an effort to show up on a regular basis, you will absolutely see remarkable results. Give LL a try. You will be glad you did!
