I’m 2 months in and I’m loving the community and accountability! It’s been so awesome to have a one-hour daily protected time to meet at the gym, give my all and then start the day giving to everyone else throughout the day. Come check it out - there are accommodations for every fitness level & I always leave feeling stronger than when I walked in!

I have been a member of MAX for one month. I love everything about it. It isn’t your typical gym. It is a supportive community who offer encouragement and support related to nutrition and strength training. It is a non- judgmental space where everyone is welcomed with open arms. The classes provide a great work out and the amazing instructors make it fun. The owner, Maria is so incredibly nice and supportive! She checks on me regularly to see how I am doing. If you are looking for a place to enjoy working out and focus on improving your nutrition, look no further, MAX is the place! You will not be disappointed!!

I love being a MAX’er! The workout and nutrition support is amazing. The sense of community is empowering. I am writing this after only 5 weeks of being a member, and I already feel stronger, healthier, and my mind is clearer. I think The MAX Challenge is a great gym overall. I’ve seen many people do very well there and genuinely enjoy their experience. I especially appreciated the nutrition classes and the one-on-one attention I received.
However, as a person with sensory issues and a disability, I found the environment to be overstimulating and difficult to manage long-term. I did share my concerns and asked if some accommodations could be made, but unfortunately, when I had to leave the program early, I wasn’t offered a refund for the weeks I could not go due to the environment. I also tried to address a few other issues that weren’t fully resolved.
I think this gym can be a great fit for many people, but for those with who are sensitive to overstimulation, it may not be the best environment.

Trying to descirbe the culture here is like trying to describe what chicken tastes like, you just have to see for yourself, but I'll try. The staff and members provide the most welcoming, supportive non-judgemental fitness and health environment you can imagine. The workouts are fun and challenging, while providing modifications for all levels. With multiple time slots, zoom sessions and pre-recorded classes the Max can accomodate all schedules. If you follow the coaching you will definitely look and feel better, both mentally and physically. I only wish I could give this center more stars.

I recently joined the max challenge and I really love the vibe of the gym. The owner Maria is the nicest person and very motivating. The gym is not intimidating like some gyms and I enjoy going to class every time I go. I would recommend this gym to people who would want a community and be accountable for their fitness workouts.

MAX Wellness and Fitness recently moved to a new location. The new location is amazing as it now has additional equipment that contribute to the fun workouts. The workouts are great, wonderful variety, and levels for all shapes and sizes. Very inclusive community. I highly recommend the MAX and Maria, the owner, just brings a smile to your face. The Max has been a life-changer for me! I joined in April and committed fully, working out 5-6 times a week and sticking to the meal plan. I absolutely love the Max. From the trainers to the workouts, I say this place is definitely A1. I have a gym membership to a gym in my area however, I thrive best when I am in a class. My gym does offer classes but the classes are mediocre(you leave sweat less). What initially caught my attention about the max was the class/group workouts. Once I joined I was more than pleased that I did. The workouts, meal guides, trainers ALL are on a different level than your average gym. I would absolutely recommend this place even if you only give it a 10 week try (bet you’ll stay) I’d say go for it. You will NOT be disappointed. Again this place, the people, the work outs are all AMAZING.❤️

I’ve been going to MAX for about 4 weeks, it has certainly been a challenge. Waking up @ 4:30 am to make the 5 AM session has not been a challenge but being energetic, not grumpy, keeping my focus on a set of 3 or 4 exercises and yes! counting them!? while my body tells me to “please, please stop”, has certainly been………🙂

I am the 39 year old male in this picture that questioned group classes for a long time, before I hit a dead end with NO new results in the gym. I decided to do the group classes with Max Fitness to trick my body and change up my workouts and it REALLY worked!!! I know it’s hard for some guys to get into group classes like these and not CrossFit, but if you are looking for something different and effective, this is a GREAT move…. Not to mention, Maria along with the community make it very fun and welcoming to anyone trying to achieve results 💪💪💪

I signed up for Max after being delivered a timely digital ad. I’d been very inactive since Covid and decided in my head I needed to get back to working out - badly!
Since joining, I’ve been getting my workouts in before my work day (I’m not a morning person, so this is a huge accomplishment). And although I’ve not gone as frequently as I should, I’m already seeing progress - less aches and pains, more energy, already feeling stronger, dropped a few lbs!
The classes are fun and ever changing, and I love the unpredictability of each class. Also having the option to do in-person or live (and recoded) Zoom workouts is a great option for me.
Maria and her team are amazing - so enthusiastic, motivating, and supportive! And they know you and call you by name day one! Incredible!

When I recently moved to the Columbus area, I was looking for and exercise program, improved nutrition, and community support. Who would have known that I’d find all three all in one place! The Max Challenge’s motivating exercise classes met me where I was, regardless of my fitness level or location (classes available in the gym, live Zoom and recorded). In April i joined The Max Challenge. I had been seeing Facebook post about the gym for about a year. Was curious but did not inquire. I had been gym hoping for a couple years never finding the exact right fit. When the ad popped up again I decided to give it a try.
The moment I walked in the door I knew I had made the right decision. The atmosphere was so welcoming. The instructors are friendly, approachable and genuinely passionate about helping members with their fitness goals.
What I like most about The Max Challenge is the strong sense of community. The members are friendly and welcoming. The workouts are challenging while making it seem like you are having fun. The workouts are varied enough that you never feel bored. If you are looking for a great workout while having fun and meeting new people I highly suggest you give The Max Challenge a try.

Joining the Max Challenge of Westerville last spring was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for my health. New to group exercise, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Much to my delight, everyone was accepting, supportive, and not judgmental. I haven’t been this fit in years, and still enjoy going. I have never joined a gym so involved and encouraging. Maria is like a big ball of sunshine( in the best possible way) with all of her positivity and energy.
I was very hesitant to join the program for the 10 week challenge because:
1) it is an investment
2) I’ve tried so many other things/programs
3) I was afraid I would fail or quit AGAIN
I’m now into week 5 of my 10 week challenge, and I think, honestly, it’s the best thing I’ve done for myself in a long time. I feel so much stronger, I’m losing inches, and I FEEL better overall. I’m actually getting to the point where I enjoy the movement and exercises more.
The workouts are different every. Single. Week. So there is no boredom with the exercises. They offer a bonus classes on the weekend. If you can’t make the classes in person, they have a live zoom option ( which I’ve used a lot and its actually still great, supportive and motivating!), and recordings so you can do them on your time when it fits your schedule.
The Max is different. I’m actually enjoying this process and am so happy and proud of myself for taking the leap of faith and doing this for myself, for my health.
If you’re feeling hesitant, they have open gym weeks that you can attend for free, without commitment, so you can get a feel of what the classes and coaches are like.

I am in week two of my first MAX Challenge, and I’ve finally found the community that I need for accountability and focus on nutrition, exercise and fun. The owners go above-and-beyond to ensure that everyone feels comfortable and included. Plus, the instructors are amazing and show each exercise for levels 1, 2 and 3. They also spend time each class talking about the mental components of success. The MAX Westerville uses positivity to promote and encourage - no negativity or shaming. You know that you’ve found a great program when many participants continue with MAX for multiple challenges. The nutrition focuses on whole foods, which helps you eat more natural foods though nothing is off-limits.

The Max Challenge is the first workout that I have felt compelled to continue doing in a long time. As a Legacy Maxer I must say it has been life changing in so many ways.
Due to health issues and injuries, I found myself heavier than I had ever been in my life. I was looking for something to fill so many voids and The Max Challenge was it!
Since joining the Max Challenge I lost 50 lbs, over 26 total inches, been able to control inflammation through clean eating, workout through a recovering broken shoulder, hip replacement and no longer need to take blood pressure medication.
The Max challenge provided me with community, accountability, comradery, flexibility and guidance by offering exercise options for all different levels of fitness, all that I so desperately needed. If you can't make it to the many in person classes offered, you have the option of connecting via live zoom from home, while traveling or workout to the day's recorded class. The options are so convenient.
I could not have done it and come this far without the wonderful, caring and supportive Max Coaches and fellow MAXers!!!!!

I don't a lot of reviews, but The Max Challenge Westerville is incredible!
My wife told me that we're giving each other a challenge for Christmas, originally, I thought (sarcastically) great another fitness thing that I'll be self-conscious doing and won't see results. Couldn't have been more wrong!
From day 1 when we tried the free week it was a completely different experience than I expected. When we came in the trainers knew our names, what brought us there, and what our goals were. The atmosphere is not judgmental in any way, it blows the big box gyms out of the water. I'm not a small person, I used to compete in powerlifting, I have the physique and lack of flexibility to show for it. Each exercise has different levels for any fitness level or in my case lack thereof. When we started, I couldn't do a single sit up or hold a plank for 20 seconds. I started in January at 332 pounds when the first 10-week challenge was over, I was at 290 pounds and doing a 2-minute plank! More importantly I have energy that I thought was gone forever, it's reignited the self-competition to do better than I did yesterday every day.
Now we're on our second challenge and I look forward to each and every workout and seeing everyone I've been able to become friends with over the last 19 weeks. I know when it's hard I've got a community keeping me accountable and they expect the same in return. I can't say enough good things about Maria and the community she's created here in Westerville!

I’ve tried several programs through out the years - extreme Diet restrictions, hard core CrossFit, cycling, etc. I always plateaued as the programs were not sustainable. I’m not new to fitness but I personally struggle with nutrition. I met the owner of The MAX Challenge of Westerville when she opened. I had been struggling to stay active as I had limited restrictions due to a wrist injury. Once I got clearance to begin using my wrist again, I joined the program. The MAX gives you levels and options to be the best version of yourself - Whether it’s healing from an injury, just starting to exercise, or maximizing what your 10 looks like that day. I’ve been with this program for 2 years. I receive nutrition guidance, support, encouragement, and the workouts are never the same! I’ve completed my classes in person, live via zoom and recordings when my schedule is crazy (because life happens)! My fitness levels were much different then when I started and it’s amazing to look back at my progression at each challenge.
The nutrition program is easy to navigate and a true lifestyle of fresh Whole Foods 🥑🥒🫑🥬🍏🍌🍓 - including a treat meal on the weekends! I’ve made lifelong friends through this program. This is not your ordinary gym, it’s a true community of people encouraging one another to be the best versions of themselves. You won’t regret it!

I originally joined the Max for just 6 weeks but loved it so much I am now going on 15 months. The trainers are excellent! Work-outs are fun, different, and challenging. I recommend this program to anyone who wants a positive nutrition and exercise experience!

I highly recommend the Max in Westerville! I completed my first challenge in November 2022 & joined as a legacy member right after. If you’re looking for a supportive group to help you change your body for good, check out The Max Challenge, Westerville! This program allows you to start where you are now and improve at your pace. They discuss exercise, diet, and psyche so you get the whole package! I’m 71 and started in January. I’m doing all my classes through zoom from Savannah Georgia and I feel like I’m there with those in the gym. Why? Because Maria, Amber, and Alison make me feel like part of the team. They have multiple live classes daily and record a class each day in case your schedule doesn’t jive with theirs. You just need a few light weights and the will to make YOU better!! I’m so glad I joined the Max Challenge Westerville!

Ugh, exercise is just the worst, isn’t it? You’re too old for all that, too far out of shape. You get up in the morning and everything pops and cracks and aches. I mean, sure, you know you should be a little more active but who has the time?? Besides, gym/diet culture is totally toxic and you don’t need a bunch of annoyingly peppy 20-somethings in spandex to make you feel bad about yourself, do you?
I get it. I really do.
And then, I finally gave in and gave it a try. Just one free class, mostly so that my friend who was a member would stop pestering me about it. Just as I expected, it was hard. But what I didn’t expect was that I’d want more of it.
The MAX Challenge is unlike any other program you’ve ever seen or tried. It isn’t just a fitness program, it isn’t just a nutrition program, it is both of those things and SO MUCH MORE. The “more” is what makes it special. I’m in Week 6 of my 10 week challenge and already know that I’ll be continuing after that. Maria, owner and one of the coaches, is relentlessly genuine, encouraging, and supportive. She loves her job, she loves her members, and it shows. That same energy is evident in the other coaches, and it is infectious. Am I losing weight and feeling better? Yup, definitely. But more importantly, my entire sense of self and my outlook on life is changing.
The only regret I have is not giving it a try sooner. Don’t be like Jake. Just try it.

There are tons a workout programs out there, so what makes this program different? The owner Maria and her team are amazing! They keep you so motivated and make you feel like you can do anything. I loved this because I could do the workouts virtually, but still felt included and got to know other Maxers. The support and encouragement is unlike anything I’ve experienced in a workout program. There are events, outings, and virtual accountability sessions and Max has exercise videos, cooking videos, etc. You will get out of this program what you put into it. I needed a jump start, and that’s exactly what The Max Challenge has provided. From the 1st phone conversation with Maria, I felt that this was what I was looking for. This is the best overall program and I’ve learned so much in such a short amount of time. The workouts, the nutrition, the support and the accountability is unmatched. I’ve always lacked at least one of those aspects in any other program I’ve tried. I think I’ve eaten more vegetables in these past 8 weeks than I have in my entire life😁 but I really don’t have the cravings for the bad foods that I thought I might. I love the MAX Challenge and Maria is the best! I joined just 3 weeks ago and cannot get over the difference I feel already! I was trying to do my own thing for the past 5 years or so and nothing was working. I am one of the older members of this program who came in 100% out of shape and overweight. I have a long way to go but I already have lost weight, have way more energy, I am motivated, and the nutrition plan helps me stay on track with out doing a lot of extra work. You will not regret this plan/program! I am a part of the 6am crew and everyone is so friendly and supportive. I am already looking forward to becoming a legacy member.
Back to Maria for a second :) she is like 3 cups of Starbucks first thing in the morning and that really helps me to get moving. She pays attention to each member's progress and she pushes you which is something I never got trying to do it on my own. I wish I would have found this program sooner!

When I first talked to Maria about the Max Challenge, her enthusiasm was infectious. I liked the information that she gave me too. Not only was the Max a workout program but it had a nutrition and support component. I quickly signed up and also signed my 23 year old daughter up too. I couldn’t be happier about my decision. The workouts are challenging, but fun and doable. I have increased my strength, stamina, and flexibility while decreasing my stress, hips, and frustration. I have done lots of different fitness programs, but the Max feels like something that could be in my life for a long time. I love the Max Challenge! I signed up with the very first group mid-January for the first 10-week challenge. I have since become a legacy member, meaning I have kept my membership going on a monthly basis.
The program is positive I’m so many ways. First, for me, is flexibility. There are multiple class times daily and I can choose to attend in person, attend via zoom, or do a recorded class if I can’t make a live class time. I’m a SAHM with twin toddlers so flexibility is key for me. Additionally, the workouts are flexible in that they have ‘easier’ options if you’re new to exercise, and ways to amp things up when you gain strength and become more advanced.
The group is SO positive. Maria, the owner and instructor I typically have, is the nicest and most positive person ever. Her enthusiasm is infectious. The other members are also so positive and encouraging. People run the gamut in age, fitness level, etc, and everyone is so kind.
Lastly, the program is effective! The workouts are Monday through Friday and each day is different (cardio Monday, upper body Tuesday, cardio Wednesday, lower body Thursday, and kickboxing Friday.) This is good for challenging the body but also keeping me from getting bored. I dislike cardio, for example, so it helps to know after I finish a cardio day I don’t have to do one again the next day! Haha.
There is also a diet plan and weekly accountability zoom calls to keep us all on track. The eating plan is very simple to follow and allows you to eat a LOT. It’s not skimpy on portions at all, just based on whole foods and more veggies than most of us typically eat. It’s changed the way I think about food and helped me lose weight, gain muscle, and most importantly feel better about myself.
I just spent a lot of time writing this review, so you know I’m a fan! Lol. Hopefully this helps someone decide to sign up and make a positive change if you’re on the fence!

Fitness, nutrition, and accountability, the Max has all aspects covered. I genuinely look forward to class, even at 6 am! No class is ever the same, and there are modifications up or down to make the workouts accessible (or extra challenging!) for truly every fitness level. After letting my fitness fall by the wayside during the pandemic, I am so thankful I found the Max and took the leap. Maria is a great motivator who tailors the Max workouts for a wide range of abilities and fitness levels. My main goal was getting back my upper body strength after surgery, but I have also been able to whittle away inches from my chest and mid section. This is the first program where I have been able to lose belly fat. I am much stronger and feel confident that I can keep going with this fitness program.
