I have been doing these workouts for a few years now and can’t imaging not doing them. The results are amazing, the trainers are professional and caring.
Max Strength Fitness makes other types of workouts, without supervision, seem dangerous.

Six years ago I was diagnosed with osteoporosis and knew I had to do something more than just taking medication to prevent further bone loss. I chose to forego the bisphosphonate drugs and instead I started taking an over-the-counter supplement called AlgaeCal. Also, I started strength training at Max Strength Fitness. Rachel, my trainer, was made aware of my bone loss as well as my physical health strengths and weaknesses. She designed a strength training routine for me twice a week for 20 minutes. I never dreamed that two short workouts a week could make such a difference in increasing my muscle mass as well as my bone density. However, these last 3 years have proven this to be true. Over these last three years, my bone density has improved considerably. The first year, 2022, 1.9% increase (still osteoporosis) 2023, 2.3% increase (diagnosed to osteopenia) and this year 2024, 7.8% increase (almost back to normal!) Even my rheumatologist was so impressed with my DEXA scan results this year that she told me there is no need for prescription medication but to keep taking the AlgaeCal and to keep doing my strength training as well. I am confident that next year my DEXA scan will show that I no longer have osteopenia and that my risk for bone fracture will be slim, thanks to Max Strength Fitness and Rachel, my wonderful trainer!

I love the privacy and the professionalism. I no longer have to worry about proper form when I lift weights and whether I’m doing more harm than good. My trainer, Mike, adjusts my routine as needed for joint issues and pain. The workouts are truly one-on-one. No one is competing for my trainer’s attention during my 20 minutes. Mike is focused on me and my workout and that is it. MaxStrength Fitness is an awesome place to work out.

Joining Max Strength Fitness has been a transformative journey for me, especially as someone who is 67 years old. I've always been cautious about engaging in physical activities that could potentially harm my body, given its changing needs and capabilities. However, Max Strength Fitness, with its specialized focus on resistance training and the super slow protocol, has opened up a new world of fitness possibilities for me.

From my very first visit, I was impressed by the welcoming and supportive atmosphere created by both the staff and fellow members. The trainers are incredibly knowledgeable and attentive, ensuring that each session is tailored to my personal needs and fitness level. This individualized approach has allowed me to progress at my own pace, gradually building strength without the fear of injury.

What sets Max Strength Fitness apart is their innovative use of the super slow protocol. This method emphasizes slow, controlled movements that maximize muscle engagement while minimizing the risk of strain or injury. It's a game-changer for someone like me, proving that age is just a number when it comes to improving physical health and vitality.

Moreover, the sense of community at Max Strength Fitness is truly remarkable. There's a genuine camaraderie among members, fostering a motivating environment that encourages everyone to reach their personal best. It's not just a place to work out; it's a community that uplifts and supports each other, making every session something to look forward to.

In addition to the physical benefits, I've noticed significant improvements in my overall well-being. I feel stronger, more energetic, and confident in my ability to maintain a healthy, active lifestyle. This has had a ripple effect on other aspects of my life, from improved sleep to a more positive outlook.

Max Strength Fitness has exceeded my expectations in every way. Their specialized approach, coupled with a warm and inclusive community, has made all the difference in my fitness journey. I wholeheartedly recommend Max Strength Fitness to anyone looking to enhance their physical health, regardless of age or fitness level. It's not just a gym; it's a place where you can safely challenge yourself, grow, and thrive. Thank you, Max Strength Fitness, for helping me discover the strength I never knew I had.

I have been a long time client of MaxStength in Westlake. The trainers are always very professional and pleasant. The experience becomes like family. My appointments have gotten me through a lot of stress in my 14+years. I like having an appointment so I go at a certain time and it is not an open ended time to show up to workout. It is short time wise and very beneficial not matter what might be bothering you. Great place!!!

Jeff and his teams efforts have been a long standing part of my efforts to age well. He introduced me to HIIT and created benchmarks that I utilize when I return to Ohio to visit, since my wife and I relocated to Florida over 10 years ago. The bench marks give me goals that I strive to meet.

I haven’t committed to exercise in years. I was looking for a way to increase my strength that did not require many hours. I found what I was looking for in MaxStrength Fitness with two focused sessions a week. A couch is with me to monitor my effort and ensure I’m working effectively. It’s a rigorous program, but the benefits are worth it!

I always liked working out alone, picking up tips from guys in the gym, internet and a few coaching sessions. Wasn't getting the results I wanted for how hard I was exercising and had a few injuries from over doing it. Took the free trial sessions with MaxStrength not expecting much, stayed with it and I like it. Wish I started years ago.

The people at MaxStrength Fitness are the best! As a 60 yr old that rarely (if ever) "exercised" and never in my life "worked out" on a consistent basis, I had some trepidation about starting a fitness regime. What drew me to MSF was an issue with my rotator cuff that would have most likely required surgery. One of the experts I consulted advised me to try physical therapy with the idea that I could always have the surgery if things didn't get better. I have lousy insurance and the cost for therapy at the clinic was $300.00 for each 30-minute session. I reviewed other providers and am glad I found MaxStrength Fitness. I am happy to say my shoulder rehab worked, and I am feeling better than I have in years! Thanks MSF! Dan Malloy

Going to MaxStrength Fitness is the best thing I've done for my health. As a busy small business owner, I don't have a lot of extra time, so working out twice a week, for 20 minutes is perfect. You also won't believe what a great workout you get in that time period. I have more energy, my clothes fit better and it is something I can accomplish every week. Thank you so much for being there MaxStrength!!

It's been almost 5 years since I started strength training at Max. The improvements in my health are numerous. This is the only exercise program I have EVER stuck with. On my calendar every month & I rarely miss a session. I don't feel my age anymore & no longer take medications for pain & high blood pressure. This is a win/win workout - physically & mentally.

I joined Max Strength last year as a birthday gift to myself. I had never been faithful to a gym, never used a personal trainer and generally hated gyms for a variety of reasons. I was referred by my best friend. I met with Jeff and he explained his history and business model and I toured the beautiful, quiet and impeccably clean β€œgym” facility. I signed up for a free session and after that I was VERY excited to take the leap and commit to a year. It was a big financial commitment to me but I had decided that since I was now on Medicare I would spend my insurance dollars to maintain and gain health through getting as strong as I could be. I don’t have any medical issues and if I can help it, I won’t have any in the near future! I have been very happy and very impressed with how quickly I have gained strength. Now I can really see a difference in my body shape and doing everyday tasks is so much easier. Gardening all day, lifting and cleaning in my Airbnb home. I think if I weren’t doing this I’d have to hire someone to do some of the work at home! I can play with my rambunctious grandchildren without feeling like I’m old and worn out! I’d recommend this to anyone seriously interested in improving their life. REALLY it’s 20 minutes twice a week!

I have been a runner for 25+ years and never saw the need for weight training. Once I hit 50 I realized I needed a more well-rounded approach to physical fitness. I have now been training at Max Strength for 8 months and have not only achieved visual results but am a stronger runner with zero injuries. Embracing the discomfort, breathing and movement techniques the Max Strength trainers instill in you has been a valuable mindset I have been able to apply to many other activities.

As a starting point, I will say that I rarely write reviews and have no financial or personal interest in this business.

Having been working out for most of my life in a large gym, I was cynical of their claim of getting in shape through twice a week workouts for 20 minutes each. I was used to being in the gym most days for a minimum of 60 to 90 minutes per workout. But my work schedule and other time commitments made it difficult to continue that schedule and I found myself run down, overweight and out of shape.

I researched their claims regarding slow lifting and read reports from health magazines and medical providers including The Mayo Clinic Web site. I was sick of feeling tired and guilty as a result of falling off my regular exercise program. I decided to give it a try. I scheduled the free initial consultation and was relieved that there was no high-pressure sales pitch. I worked through an initial workout and was impressed with the trainer and the facility.

I have been pleasantly surprised by the results from this program with a minimal time commitment. I work with them twice-weekly during my lunch break. The facility is easy to access off Crocker Road and you are in and out with a great workout. I am back at my desk within 45 minutes from the time I departed the office. And yes, although the workout produces results and will work your muscles, you can exercise in business casual work clothes without breaking a sweat.

I have referred my business partner and now my fiancΓ© to this facility. I have gained strength, muscle tone and am getting my old shape back. I have more energy and am skipping the afternoon caffeine blast I used to need to get through a workday.

If you are a busy professional, homemaker with limited time or are otherwise ready to get back in shape, I strongly recommend at least trying an initial consultation. I am glad I did.

I appreciate that the personal trainers have professional training backgrounds and related degrees. I am over 50 and the last thing I need is to be slowed down by an orthopedic injury. There is very little post -workout muscle soreness and my joints feel great. I have had to quit prior facilities due to muscle soreness or injury and I see the value of working with a trainer.
