We wanted to love the facility. The pool is wonderful - the limited hours of use are not. The small pool was great for my injury rehab - though it was like a community pool, crowded and noisy many times. The workout room is very nice - again limited hours were the high schoolers weren’t using it. Parking and access crowded at times depending on what was happening at the high school.

Awful procedure to modify, freeze or cancel an account. The third party blames the gym, the gym blames the 3rd party. It’s laughable. The process could be so simple if it was explained correctly.
The onsite Staff is friendly, but clueless. They will tell you it will be easy to switch back and forth from family to individual membership, but it won’t be. Took me 3 months. When I called in I was told I had to come in, when I came in I was told I had to call. I did this three times before it was resolved. If you decide to waste your money here, try these pro tips:

To change membership type - must go in person. An office admin has to be in to complete this process. Best chance if you try between 9-4pm.

Cancellation - Outside of moving away or a medical need, they’ll say you can’t cancel, but you can. Just say “buyout cancellation”. Today the fee is $195 to “buyout cancel”
If you just want to ride out your remaining months, tell them to turn off your auto renewal. Don’t ask to cancel at the end of the term because they’ll say they can’t do that! I had to press the rep before he told me he could just turn off the auto renewal and my contract will end. They try to direct you to the website to “manage your account”, but there is no way to turn off auto renew there. The phone rep has to do it.

It's a great place to go, very clean. My only gripe is that it's attached to the school, so there are sometimes packs of unruly school children.

Update 8 months later--too many aquatics classes blocking out much of the day, and now that school is out there are less school children but there are additional "swim camps" every day of the work week, conveniently when we have time to go. So we've been reduced to 1x a week if we're lucky, making it much less valuable.

Facility and people were great, friendly people and super clean facilities, but very difficult to cancel membership, took multiple calls and excessive wait times. They use a 3rd party service that isn't available on weekends- even though you have to cancel by a certin date to avoid future charges-almost impossible to get through to customer service through the week. Nothing about that was disclosed during sign up. Other than that, great place to go!

Nice facility, just keep students out of the weight room before and especially after school who aren't using it. Make sure basketball court is available when the high school isn't using it. Have dance classes elsewhere if necessary.

I joined the healthplex about a month ago. I’ve always been very intimidated and frankly scared of gyms. I once tried to join a chain gym and ended up going twice. So far, I am going to the healthplex every other day for about 45 minutes to an hour. This gym makes me feel safe, really is for everyone at any level, and they make me feel supported. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone who’s looking for a truly non-judgmental gym where they’ll be supported in their health goals.

I was told when I signed up with the 12 month contract (to get the $6 enrollment fee) that I had a 3 month trial and if I didn't like it, that I could cancel. Fast forward 2 months and I have only used the membership 3 or 4 times and it was just too expensive for that. I decided to take advantage of my 3 month trial and cancel...they said they had no record of that 3 month trial option and would not honor that.
Beware of any special claims they may make to entice you to sign up. They will NOT be honored.

On Sunday, August 13, mid afternoon, I visited this place to inquire about a guest pass for me and a membership for my mother who lives in the area. I never got past the front desk. Upon entrance into the lobby, the coldness, impatience, and general lack of welcomeness with which I was greeted let me know all I needed to know. Should I probably have come back on a different day in hopes of getting someone else? Nah, there are too many options out there to deal with that. My piece of advice here, please ensure that EACH of your staff are trained and have the mindset to welcome and treat everyone with warmth and courtesy, no matter who that guest is or what they look like.

I've been a member of the HealthPlex for a few years now and I absolutely LOVE it there! The yoga classes are fantastic for both mind and body. I just started the barre classes and they are whipping me in to shape (I'm no spring chicken :) Your health is worth every penny of a membership here!

My kid was told by a staff member that her membership was revoked and cancelled on mid April. She was told to leave the premises immediately and she hasn't set a foot there since. So imagine my surprise when we got charged our monthly fee on May. When asked about it, staff just denies that they ever said anything about revoking a membership. The manager, Terry, was quite rude and unhelpful as well, going as far as implying that my child must be lying. Hopefully we can manage to dispute the charge for May, considering how rude and uncommunicative they are. If you are responsible for minors on your premises, you need to be more informative towards the parents.

My grandfather purchased a year long pass here. At the start of Covid-19, the health plex was closed. He was unable to use the facility just like everyone else, but the staff refused to extend or reimburse the time he had lost and already paid for, due to covid. This is rather ridiculous being that he paid for the service and was not provided all of it.

To see the real quality of such an establishment, you look at the small details. And from the heaviness of the shower room curtains to the excercise equipment to the swimming pool- every single detail is exquisitly made and managed. Its never crowded, which is a great plus. The group fitness classes have been the best thing for losing my weight in forever.
If they keep running it like they do, they will have a long waiting list of members in no time.

It's been two months since I joined the West Clermont HealthPlex and I love it. The staff are friendly, the equipment is new, and there is always an open swim lane. I enjoy the variety of classes offered and the personalized attention with small class size. For an additional fee, you can make an appointment with a fitness instructor, nutritionist, or massage therapist. There is free childcare onsite (operating times vary). There are two pools, the larger one with lanes is closed for an hour and half in slow afternoons. This facility is very engaged and hosts unique events like movie in the pool or a special meditation class. Note that West Clermont acquired the rights to the HealthPlex name from Mercy and this facility is technically owned by West Clermont with funds going directly to the adjacent school.
